f it’s too hot, and you can rent heaters if it’s too cold. The Blockhouse space also has a roof, heaters, and plenty of room for a decent dance floor. The inside space is very roomy. We rented the plant wall to fill out the area behind our ceremony. We also paid for the extra hour before our event for family photos. All in all a very reasonably priced venue. Everyone thought it was beautiful, and I agree.

e. I looked in both home towns, national parks, in our current cities and didn't find much UNTIL I found the Blockhouse. The Blockhouse was a truly beautiful location to have our intimate wedding. We were planning to have around 100 guests but only about 65 showed up and it was the perfect space for the group. I could not get over how beautiful and unique the venue was. It is small and is only suited for intimate weddings but it is worth it. Although it's not free use of the space even though you booked it for the entire day and vendors are allowed to set up starting at 12pm, you are allowed 1hr to take photos prior to the wedding in the nursery. Use this time to get those first look photos and family portraits!

house staff answered emails quickly and thoroughly and we're so so incredibly helpful in figuring out logistics and answering all my frantic questions! Manda you are a saint! Just know two things to know before booking (and the staff did let us know) 1. There is no getting ready area there, but there are hotels nearby to get ready at, and 2. You will need someone to decorate the day of the wedding. My mom and I planned my wedding and did not have a wedding planner, so my mom and friends set up the day of. Just something to keep in mind! The space itself is a beautiful indoor/outdoor space, and the lighting around 6:30 in October was magical for our ceremony. It photographers incredibly well. Our wedding day was perfect and huge part of that was the staff and space of Blockhouse!

is beautiful. Plus, there are chickens running around the nursery, which were a big hit for our nieces (both under 3 years old). Sarah and Ashley were very helpful in coordinating our initial walkthrough and connecting us with our caterer, as well as working the day of the reception, and the cost was very reasonable. Thank you to the whole Blockhouse team!

and Mia who made my entire wedding day go perfectly. They took every bit of stress out of planning my day - even staying at the space all day to greet my caterer and rentals so I could leave to get my hair and makeup done. My guests constantly approached me to tell me how much they loved the venue. It was so beautiful and romantic, especially after the sun went down. I wouldn’t have wanted to get married anywhere else. Also, a special hug to the two resident chickens on the property that were fan favorites.

We just had our wedding in early October and this venue perfectly fit the fall vibe - but this venue would fit any seasonal vibe! Beyond the beauty, I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff are. Emily and her team went above and beyond - anything we needed, they handled. From their prompt responses throughout the planning process to day-of, they were perfection. I cannot recommend this venue enough!!

The whole space was the right mix of modern and classic, and the space came alive once we brought our decor in. We also rented out the nursery space for the ceremony, which made such a lovely backdrop for the ceremony.

ss quickly became a must for me lol. Blockhouse is the perfect union of nature and modern, beautiful architecture. We could not have imagined a better venue to represent both of our aesthetics. The ability to have an indoor/outdoor space was imperative to our vision and Blockhouse delivered! Emily was wonderful to work with and was right there with me every step of the way. She was responsive and gave great guidance on how to arrange the venue to best suit our vision for the day. The bar staff were also amazing! They offered to heat up a bottle for my 8 month old nephew and were so attentive to all of the guests. I can't speak highly enough of all the staff. I would absolutely recommend Blockhouse to anyone looking to host their event - wedding, dinner, party or otherwise, in their lush, beautiful, and truly unique space.

nursery space for use after 6. The staff were great and had the nursery floor prepped so right at 6, started moving things into place and ceremony could start at 6:15. Then, after the ceremony, staff moved things around and placed additional tables for the reception. All of this was quick and seamless. Everything was beautiful and ran smoothly at the wedding. Probably because, prior to the wedding, the staff (Emily in particular as I worked primarily with her and this opinion is based on my personal experience) was extremely professional, organized, easy to work with, communicative, and helpful. Emily was always responsive via email, providing answers to questions, suggestions, ideas, and being very accommodating for last minute schedule changes. If you have a small wedding, this is the place. Note: the location was gorgeous and the staff went all out arranging plants within the non rented part of the nursery. Multiple guests have commented, multiple times, on how beautiful the location was. The nursery may also have some customers-it really was that lovely.
