My partner and I booked Samantha for our wedding after we saw her advertising at the Portland parks wedding registration day event. We wanted a cool, low-key, non-traditional wedding, and after talking with a few planners, it was clear that out of everyone, Samantha immediately understood the vibe we were shooting for. We booked partial planning and day-of coordination.
To say that we wholeheartedly recommend Samantha is an understatement. She was such a joy to work with through the whole process. Coming into the process, our plan was to have our friends cater our big park wedding, at the Mt Tabor amphitheater. Basically a DIY giant park barbecue! That, obviously, means a lot of moving parts and ambiguities because none of our friends actually lived in Portland.
I don't think we could have pulled it off without Samantha. In our first meeting, we told her our plans, and she immediately went into problem solving mode. She knew of community kitchens we could talk to, different vendors we could rent grills from, and knew from her years of experience, what other necessities we'd have to rent in order for our wedding to be a huge success.
As we moved closer to the wedding, Samantha found us all our vendors, from sustainable florist to photos. She has a lot of connections to the wedding planning community in the region, and is sure to know someone if she herself can't do whatever you need.
The week of the wedding, Samantha walked through the venue with us, shared her very detailed notes on everything, walked us through her coordination for the day, and was a generally very calming presence, including finding a last minute sound system after a rental fell through.
Our fond memories of the day were only possible thanks to the thoughtful and professional work that Samantha put into making our wedding truly ours.
Samantha was great! We had a few issues with a couple of our vendors and she handled them like a champ so that the guests didn’t know there was a problem. We would definitely recommend her 10 out of 10. 🙏

I’m Samantha, planner, problem solver, and your biggest wedding day cheerleader! I’m the owner and lead planner of Bloom Events Portland, and I’d love to partner with you to create a celebration that feels unmistakably you.
I started my career in events over a decade ago, planning nonprofit fundraisers and corporate conferences. Eventually, I discovered the magic of weddings and knew I’d found my niche. Now with Bloom Events Portland, I get to bring all of that experience together under one roof - nonprofit and corporate events, parties, and weddings - and I couldn’t be happier.
I value working collaboratively, whether that’s brainstorming with you on the perfect guest experience or working side-by-side with your vendor team to make sure everyone is supported and set up for success.
