I photograph weddings throughout Illinois (Ernst Jacobsen Photography) and have photographed a number of weddings at the Bloomington Country Club. The exterior grounds provide amp...
le opportunities for gorgeous wedding photos while the interior is beautifully warm and intimate. To top it off, the manager, Carl, is absolutely amazing and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.
would HIGHLY recommend this venue for any event! price for the room is VERY affordable, and you CAN host an event here even if you are not a member.
I had my wedding reception he...
re, and the Country Club was very accommodating and attentive to my needs. The food was absolutely amazing-- people are still talking about it-- highly recommend the salad bar add on and the mashed potato bar add on. it was a hit! Clean bathrooms, spacious entryway, and an entire room to put the food in. There is also a very spacious outdoor deck, where a lot of people chose to hang out.
My only complaints are that they had very wrinkled table covers, and they charged to steam them. Additionally, they went through three event coordinators during 7 months, so that was a little bit messy. Luckily, I was doing all the planning for my wedding anyways, so I was able to easily relay the details to the next person "in line". Even though this seems like it would affect my experience, it did not. Just be sure to have email documentation of everything (they are more prompt with email anyways!!).
Great staffvand venue, especially if you want a senic view (nicely landscaped golf course). Reasonabley priced as well. Would be stellar but for two details: poor sound system (had...
to set mic next to computer to play slide show music); and the dinner portions are REALLY small (try going for buffet style or ask to sample? really, only large men complained!)
