the wedding, we had a team of 3 who effortlessly managed our event. There was a hiccup the mornings of the wedding. One call to our lead coordinator, and Bri took care of it all. The team is knowledgeable, calm, connected, and so easy to work with. Super happy they were able to part of our special day.

We got the “two weeks to go” package because our wedding was mostly planned, but we wanted to hand off final vendor communication and day-of tasks so we could focus on family who had come into town early and the day itself. Kate met with us to iron out an itinerary and final decisions, and she could answer every vendor’s question at the drop of a hat. Every vendor got consistent information and timely communication, so we didn’t have to worry about any confusion. Kate and her assistant made sure everything got where it needed to go, including my guitar (I played a song with the band) and a ton of homemade desserts guests brought as they came (which we had instead of a cake). The two of them checked on us throughout the night without being obtrusive; we’ve never felt more taken care of. They also made sure everyone got tipped at the end of the night - all we had to do was hand Kate the envelopes. We could go on, but suffice it to say that whenever someone asked us a question, we could confidently say, “Kate and her assistant are handling that.” What more can you ask for?

planning turned me into the most type A person I've ever been but Kate was always several steps ahead and had a plan for everything. She allowed me to enjoy my day but most importantly everyone around me was able to enjoy the day as well! My mom tells all her friends they absolutely must hire a coordinator because our experience with Kate was so fantastic. We love Kate and Blue Dahlia!

They are also lovely people and I will genuinely miss getting to chat with them. I can't recommend Blue Dahlia enough! 11/10.

There are SO many little details to keep track of, last minute changes, etc. and Kate handled everything perfectly. It was such a life saver having her there on the actual wedding day as well - she kept everything on schedule and worked with all our vendors so that my husband and I could just enjoy the day. I am so SO thankful we decided to bring Kate on as our planner and would highly recommend her to anyone!

down-to-earth, friendly, professional, easy to talk to, decisive, responsive, and extremely helpful. She seemed to always be there when you needed her and acted quickly when things started to go sideways. For example: - The day of our wedding a huge storm unexpectedly appeared. Kate constantly monitored the situation and helped us make the game time decision to move the ceremony from the garden to the tented reception area. She somehow arranged chairs to make the space feel more "like a ceremony" in a small space in record time. - During the ceremony the wind literally picked the tent up off the ground and Kate GRABBED THE TENT POLES and held them, in the rain, for the remainder of the ceremony. I mean, c'mon...that is true dedication and we can't thank her enough. - Anytime we needed Kate she was there, quickly moving things along and solving problems (for example, bringing ginger ale for upset stomachs, providing hair ties for a sweaty dance floor). She was everywhere and always helpful. - Throughout the process Kate was incredibly responsive. She gave us her personal cell phone and texted back immediately whenever contacted. - Kate was friendly and positive, but also decisive & direct. She gave honest advice that was incredibly helpful, such as: how and when to tip vendors, recommended layouts for the ceremony, order of reception events, and many other big and tiny details. Finally, we would just like to say that we could not have pulled off this wedding without Kate. Despite the fact that both of us are organized planners, there is no way we could have remembered all the critical details and kept things moving smoothly without her. And our wedding day experience would have been much more chaotic, and far less romantic had we tried. In short, we cannot recommend Blue Dahlia enough!

My parents, at first, were very skeptical about hiring a day of planner, but they even said that it was one of the best hires for the day. I had the six week package and it was great because I met Stephanie and Kate and we ironed out all the details for the day twice to make sure it was perfect. I can not say enough wonderful words about them.

Not to mention, the mother-daughter duo between Laura and Tracy was so fun for us, they are both so sweet and genuine. We were able to enjoy our day without stress and that's exactly what you want and need on your wedding day. By the end of our wedding process, Kate and Laura both became much more than planners, they became friends to me. I am so grateful!

If you’re having hesitations about booking, DONT! We booked the “2 week out” coordination where I basically handed everything over to Kate who mapped everything out perfectly. She coordinated with the vendors that I was having trouble reaching. She was extremely easy to communicate with and willing to go the extra mile. She assigned me a “day of” coordinator named Katie. And I thought, cool! That will be nice to have some one there the day of to help out. Another understatement. Katie ran the day and all of the behind the scene stuff like a SCIENCE. She was ALWAYS one step ahead of me. When I would come up with a worry, before I could even finish my sentence, she would reassure me she had already taken care of it. It was honestly incredible. I have 0 problems the day of my wedding, because whatever problem there probably was, Katie smoothed it over. On top of that she was always close by making sure Garrett and I had a drink at the reception. We still are talking about how thankful we are that we had Katie the day of our wedding. I can’t say enough. If you’re hesitating, don’t. You won’t regret booking with blue dahlia events - they will make your wedding the most carefree day - the way it’s supposed to be!
