Blue Heron Barn is a modern and elegant wedding venue in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Our beautifully restored historic barn sits on five scenic acres along the Portage Creek and can accommodate weddings of up to 200 guests.
Our Kalamazoo wedding venue offers indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces, modern amenities, beautiful grounds, and plenty of personality. Think wildflowers, gorgeous sunsets, and packed dance floors.
We welcome couples from Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Chicago, and throughout West Michigan, Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana.

We recently hosted our wedding at Blue Heron Barn, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless.
What really stood out...
was the incredible attention to detail. Tiffany and her team anticipated every need and ensured that our timeline ran perfectly, allowing us to simply enjoy our day without a single worry. They calmed our nerves along with having the answers to any question that arose! Tiffany herself made sure that after our ceremony we had a beverage while we finished up pictures! She made us feel so well taken care of, even during the busiest parts of the day.
Our guests were equally impressed, and we have received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how well everything was organized. Everyone took personal pictures around the venue—it’s stunning wherever you look! Having both an indoor and outdoor space that was comfortable while able to combat July heat was amazing! I can’t forget that they also have an entire section of their barn with decor that can be used for your wedding!!

They genuinely care about every couple, and it shows in how smoothly everything runs. The Something Borrowed room was such a huge bonus! We saved so much on decor and even though my sister and I both got married here, our weddings looked completely different because Tiffany is always adding new pieces to the inventory.
We truly had the best day ever and couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. Thank you to Bob, Tiffany, and the entire Blue Heron Barn team for making our day so special. We can’t recommend Blue Heron Barn enough!

dding. Tiffany was on top of everything, always available for any questions I had leading up to the day, and accommodated me to come look at the decor multiple times while I was trying to plan my day.
Prior to the event we met again to go over day of logistics and she thought of every detail so that I didn't have to worry about making a single decision on the big day.
Bob and Sherry her two venue coordinators for the day were absolutely fantastic!! So helpful with whatever was needed, multiple guests commented how friendly they were.

pt. The barn itself has so much history, but also feels “new” with all of the upgrades (concrete floors, lean-to patios, new roof, etc). Tiffany is SUPER helpful and the sweetest person. She was willing to work with us and accommodate some of our crazy ideas. She offers a decor room included in the booking (huge selection) — we were short on a few things on accident and she had exactly what we needed. Bob was a huge help setting up the day before and the day of. He was always one step ahead of us! BHB also has a few people helping the day of which made it way easier for us. We honestly could not have asked for a better day thanks to Blue Heron Barn. They allowed us to create the most special day, how we wanted. 100/10 would recommend.
