Located in Wylie, TX, Blue Heron Landing is a romantic wedding venue. Despite its tranquil, countryside atmosphere, this setting is easily accessible from the George Bush Freeway. It sits minutes outside of Historic Downtown Wylie, while downtown Dallas takes just 30 minutes to reach.
Opening in February 2022, Blue Heron Landing offers over six acres of stunning views, including a nature trail and duck pond. The grounds also feature a charming Victorian cottage that dates back to 1884, with a covered patio, deck, and get-ready space. This dressing suite is on the second floor of the cottage and leads onto the deck. A spiral staircase connects this deck with the outside ceremony site, making it ideal for a grand entrance. The outdoor space is on the lawn in front of the cottage, but you can also exchange vows in the quaint white gazebo. There are countless sites in the woods for ceremonies and photos, perfect for couples who have envisioned an intimate forest celebration. Indoor services can be held in the wedding pavilion and reception hall.
The new, climate-controlled, indoor event pavilion at Blue Heron Landing covers 2,800 square feet, with an extra 1,100 square feet of outdoor space that overlooks the pond. The deck features gas fires for warmth when the sun goes down. Younger guests will enjoy the outdoor play area, while more laidback festivities can use the sand volleyball court and firepits. Owner Michele Caputo is ready to work closely with to-be-weds to help them have a day to remember. You can count on her for assistance with wedding planning, so you can bring your vision to life.

was super flexible with us as we were not even in town during any of the planning process. We were able to decide decorations and everything over phone which made it super easy! This venue is an absolute gem and was an amazing price especially for everything Michelle and her team include and help with on the day of the event. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone on a budget who needs some extra help with the day of details such as decor, linens, dessert table, etc!

We were immediately drawn to the space, which included a fantastical hodgepodge of yard decorations, a beautiful vintage house, animals that could be pet and fed, and a beautiful new reception venue that was recently constructed. A bit of the old with the new. Michele's price was incredibly reasonable, and she was ultimately who we consulted with for a year of our planning - we had a great report by the end, sometimes talking back and forth about styling ideas (such as our suggestion to arrange chairs parallel to the aisle for more visibility.)
She was helpful, friendly, and flexible, and ultimately helped us to have the most incredible wedding day. My wife Cheryl and I couldn't be happier, and would highly recommend this venue to couples that love a bit of humor and whimsy!

exible about arrival times the day of and allowed us to store our decorations at the venue the night before our wedding, which was so helpful.
Speaking of decorations, part of the package is using in house decorations and linens. Michele has a lot of options and it took a lot of stress out of the planning. Plus, her prices are very reasonable, especially for DFW, so we were able to use the money we saved elsewhere.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and there’s plenty of space inside and out. We had kids at our wedding and they loved the petting zoo and playground. The property itself is a lot of fun with the pond and walking trails. There is a Victorian house on the grounds where the bride can get ready and it’s beautiful! Plus there’s two bathrooms, one of which has a shower, and a full kitchen.
This was the only venue my husband and I looked at and we knew immediately after our tour that it was perfect for us. We have no regrets about having our wedding at Blue Heron and it truly was the best day!

most accommodating person to work with. She did everything she could to make sure our daughters wedding was perfect. She went above and beyond to help us make our daughters dream wedding happen. The old Victorian House was the perfect place for the bridal party to hang out while getting their hair done. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous with the deck over looking the pond. The kids had a blast feeding the animals at the petting zoo. And so did the parents! The kitchen and bathrooms were quite spacious and sparkling clean. And the wedding cakes fit perfectly in the chiller.
Quite a few of our friends have already booked their events there for their kids birthdays and other parties.
I highly recommend The Blue Heron Landing. We will be returning customers for a long time to come!
