Our wedding at The Blue Heron was everything we hoped for and more! From the moment we booked the venue through the end of our wedding day, the entire experience was wonderful. The property is absolutely beautiful and created the perfect location for both our ceremony and reception.
Beverly and Jeff were kind, professional, and so easy to work with. They helped make the planning process stress-free and were always willing to answer questions and make sure everything went smoothly. On our wedding day, everything came together perfectly, allowing us to truly enjoy every moment with our family and friends.
We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate one of the most important days of our lives. We are so grateful to The Blue Heron for helping make our wedding unforgettable. We would highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a beautiful location and an amazing experience!
My husband and I got married at the Blue Heron on June 27th, 2026. I cannot recommend this place enough! The owners Bevelry and Jeff were beyond accommodating and incredibly kind. They kept in contact with us throughout the months leading up to the wedding and sent us any pictures or videos of the venue that we requested so we could make the best plans possible for our special day. They have also made many improvements to the property during the last six months or so and have kept us updated and informed. We visited several times to make plans and they always were so accommodating to our schedules.
We rented the venue from Thursday through Sunday and found the venue to be very affordable for our budget wedding. It comfortably slept 13 people so our bridal party could be with us the night before the wedding and morning of. The owners also left a sweet treat and a kind note for us when we arrived which we found very thoughtful. It was so handy having a full kitchen and living area to use the days leading up to the wedding so we could cook, prepare, and take care of ourselves. The venue had all the tables, chairs, table clothes, table runners, serving trays and serving utensils that we needed so we didn’t have to rent anything! They also have a pretty impressive variety of miscellaneous decorations, drink coolers, and vases that are super handy if you are on a budget.
The venue itself is so incredibly beautiful. The chandeliers are gorgeous and the whole house is so tastefully decorated. The space feels very open and large. The water is a perfect backdrop for any event and the cross they have in front serves as an arch of its own. You really don’t even need to decorate the common spaces because of how perfect they already are. That alone saved us so much time getting everything done.
As far as our wedding, we took full advantage of the property. We used the refurbished garage as a serving area for the caterer and cake. We also used the living room for cocktail hour with the provided pub tables. We set up the reception on the new back patio that has fairy lights strung along the top and had our ceremony on the water with a homemade arch. Our only problems were the heat of the day and the wind blowing very strong, but that is what we get for having a wedding in June! It was such a gorgeous wedding and we really have the Blue Heron to thank for all of it.
