The cake tasting was professional and Voula was easy to talk to. My now husband is not a fan of sweets, and usually takes a few small bites when we went cake tasting. However, when we tasted Voula's cakes, it was so amazing that we could not stop eating. When Voula sketched out our ideas for the wedding cake onto paper, we were in awe. She incorporated our ideas together and sketched a wedding cake design that we loved. We knew we had to hire her right away. Due to the pandemic, we had to make changes to our initial plans and design. Voula was very supportive and responded to our questions promptly during this difficult time. We decided to have her make a mini wedding cake and personalized wedding dumpling toppers. We also wanted to incorporate our dog into the cake, and she was able to make that happen for us! Voula is the best of both worlds- an amazing baker and artist! Both are essential for a beautiful and delicious wedding cake!

Voula is not only an artist but her cakes taste amazing. Her buttercream frosting is one of the best I've ever had -- not too sugary but a perfect complement to the cake itself. She also worked with us through our COVID wedding rescheduling and sizing to downsize our cake appropriately, create the perfect groom's cake (PIZZA and came in a pizza box!), and even create a shower cake that was unique and beautiful. So pretty that many thought it was fondant or not real! Such a professional and her creativity is top notch. AS well as pricing/value! Highly recommend working with her!

Voula made our ceremony complete with the amazing cake she delivered which for everyone talking and asking for her contact days after the ceremony. She worked with us patient even when we weren’t certain about our dates and made sure every little detail we wanted was present. We couldn’t have enough of the cake and will definitely be reaching for future events.

Voula is such a great cake maker and designer. I had the honor of working with her as another vendor as well as purchase a cake from her for a friend! She listens and understands what her client's needs are as well as she is able to create exactly what you ask for and with a twist of her own! Also the cake and cookies I have purchased from Voula were so good! We could NOT stop eating the treats!

Voula is ABSO-freaking-LUTELY amazing. Not only was our cake exactly what we wanted, so gorgeous and perfect, but it tasted amazing. She made time in her schedule to see my husband and I on the weekend and brought six flavors for us to taste. Even the tasting samples were well done. She then took her time listening to our millions of different ideas and turned them into a beautiful cake for our wedding. I even changed my mind at least twice during the tasting and she was so patient and kind. If you are near her, USE HER. Amazing.

Voula is the BEST cake artist! She's made every single cake that I've had for big milestone events: best friend's baby shower, parents' birthdays, and my wedding cake. Every time I ask if she can create something unique, she EXCEEDS my expectations and creates masterpieces that are sometimes too beautiful to eat!!! Though somehow we always seem to finish every last piece because they are so delicious!!!!!!

The cake is absolutely amazing! Customer service is great too. During my first testing the owner got my flavors wrong but did correct them and hand delivered the correct box to my house. My only complaint is I wish I got a call about the cake being slightly late on my wedding day. It almost gave me a heart attack. But end the end it arrived and it was absolutely beautiful and tasty.

I reached out to Voula to bake a grooms cake for my wedding. Her background in art really helped to bring my extravagant vision to life and her flavors were amazing. The cake she produced can be described as nothing less than epic and my guests took many photos and raved about the cake. At my wedding, I had a first look with my now husband and I also had him do a first look with the cake. His reaction to the cake was actually better than his reaction to me!

Simply unbelievable. We had a friends barn as our venue - so we did something a little different from the start. We incorporated our Shelby's in the ceremony - and had a BBQ buffet for dinner. So the cake had to be different as well. Voula Tripolitsiotis is a sculptor, so know you're not just getting a cake, but a piece of art - that's also tasty! Everyone got a kick out of the cakes - and they were so delicious! A big "Thank You" to Voula!

We worked with Voula to create a small wedding cake based on some ideas I had off of Pinterest. She was flexible, helpful, and so creative during the process. She was very professional and responsive, and her cake tastes AMAZING! Her ingredients are so fresh and we were blown away at how great every flavor was. She delivered our cake with no problem and we would highly recommend her!!

I worked with Voula at Blue Lace Cakes to create cakes for my traditional and white wedding. The cakes were delicious and my guests enjoyed them very much! Working with Voula was an absolute delight. She was punctual for our cake tasting meeting as well as in delivering both cakes on two different days and locations. Her artistic work is amazing and not to mention her culinary skills. Voula was AMAZING to work with!! We weren't looking for a huge traditional wedding cake. Just a small beautiful one. I tried the more popular places in DC but they couldn't wrap their heads around us not wanting their run of the mill cakes. Voula was great from start to finish! We didn’t have to much of an idea of what we wanted and she helped us come up with a great idea! Any questions we had she answered promptly. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and everyone loved it on our big day. It was everything we could have hoped for and more (if you peek on her IG, it’s the blue and purple gradient one with gold sugar flowers). I’ve ordered cupcakes from her before for birthdays and the like, but she went above and beyond for this and I appreciate her for it.

Can’t say enough amazing things about my experience with blur Lace Cakes. Had the pleasure of working with Voula on the cake for my son’s baby shower. Not only did she make a cake that was over the top beautiful, but she went out of her way to make sure that the flavors were perfectly on point. The design was both elegant and creative and fit in so well for the tea party themed event - complete with a hand sculpted teacup cake topper. Voula takes the time to get to know not only what you’re looking for in your cake, but then tries to take the concept further so that the cake almost becomes a work of art - that also tastes amazing. If you’re looking for someone who is easy to work with, takes pride in everything she does, and can whip up a mean buttercream (pun intended) then look no further.

We worked with Blue Lace Cakes for our wedding a couple of weeks ago and she was great! Great communication, the cake turned out BEAUTIFUL, and although we didn't eat it that much (it's true on your day you barely even think about eating, lol) multiple guests commented afterwards about how good it was.
