Blue Line Quartet

We used the Blue Line Quartet to play during the ceremony and cocktail hour at our Water Works wedding in August 2024. We decided to just use a trio. They play beautifully and so professionally. Nellie, their business manager, is prompt, professional and so easy to work with. They also provided a portable microphone and speaker to be used during the ceremony at a reasonable price. They worked with the bride and groom to pick the songs they wanted and were able to give good advice on song selection where needed. I 100% recommend using Blue Line Quartet.

The Blue Line Quartet were so wonderful to work with! I had some fun/new ideas that they were willing to try for us and they sounded absolutely beautiful. On your wedding day its hard for you to enjoy the music you hire for your guest but I was able to hear them at my venue while getting ready and my DJ provided our cocktail hour music so we got to enjoy it afterwards. It was such a beautiful and special experience to have a trio at our wedding and it gave such a classic beauty to our ceremony/cocktail hour. I definitely recommend hiring them for your special day!

The Blue Line Quartet was an amazing addition to our ceremony!! The were responsive the whole time we worked with them and very easy to work with when we had to postpone our wedding due to covid. We hired Blue Line String Quartet for our wedding ceremony on November 6, 2021. Best decision ever! Nellie was the point of communication for the ensemble and she was extremely prompt in communication via email and so easy to work with. She sent us their repertoire and had us pick music for the prelude and ceremony! They offer endless classical and contemporary selections. They even tailored the song I walked down the aisle to (Clair De Lune) to be exactly how my groom wanted :) Many of our guests commented on how good they sounded and how they really helped set the scene for our romantic fall wedding! Absolutely amazing!!! For me this was the highlight our wedding. I picked every song that played during the ceremony and cocktail hour. They played so beautifully I cannot even begin to describe. Nellie was so great to work with and so accommodating when we had to reschedule for covid. If you are on the fence just do it!!! Such a great add and your guests will be in awe of the musicians talent.

My wife and I hired Blue Line Quartet for our intimate wedding in Old City in Philadelphia and the musicians provided the perfect ambiance for such a historic location! We hired a cello and violin duo. We got many compliments on the music from our guests. Nellie did a fantastic job of managing the logistics with us: We communicated primarily through email to help streamline the event (timeline, members of the bridal party, cues for transition, music for recessional and processional, payment details). Nellie offered us a wide range of music options and offered some helpful suggestions to make the process easier. The day of the event everything was perfect, all the cues were on point and we thoroughly enjoyed the music. We would definitely recommend them!

If you are looking for an affordable, talented group anywhere in the Philly area, we cannot recommend the BLQ enough. We used the BLQ for our Wedding yesterday, and I honestly created a profile on the Knot just so I would be able to give this review. I am a violinist myself, and their performance was WONDERFUL! I wanted to arrange our own music for the ceremony and they were very accommodating. Our processional consisted of 3 songs, and during the second song a few people rushed down the aisle faster than expected. The BLQ expertly cut the second song short and seamlessly transitioned into the third song for the Bride's entrance. With four performers that type of on-the-fly adjustment is VERY difficult, and is a testament to their skill and experience. Lastly, EVERY TIME I asked a question I got a response within hours, not days. There are plenty of talented musicians in Philly, but that attention to customer service really made the BLQ stand out in our minds. They will make you feel taken care of, which takes a lot of the stress out of planning that part of your special day.

We hired Blue Line Quartet to play during our ceremony and cocktail hour. Their repertoire is very extensive from modern pop to classical and they even play ~30 mins of prelude music before the ceremony started. They respond to emails very promptly, show up on time, and were dressed very professionally on the day of. Thank you for making our wedding so memorable.

BLQ were a real hit at our wedding (both ceremony and cocktail hour). They offer a great repertoire of classical and pop songs, and they're very flexible in tailoring the selections to suit our styles. Blue Line was amazing. From the get go we knew we wanted a string quartet to play rendition of modern songs and their huge set list more than delivered! It was everything we wanted, from Coldplay, to Avicii, to the classics while the wedding party was walking in, Blue Line provided the perfect instrumentals to our space.

We were married this weekend and had the pleasure of hiring the Blue Line Quartet to play our ceremony. They were absolutely phenomenal and our guests were blown away. They exude professionalism and quality as we had an issue with transportation and the bride and bridesmaids were over an hour late. Joe after finding out the situation discussed it with the quartet and they played on. They are probably the only reason a potentially disastrous situation didn't really ruin the day.

Blue Line Quartet played for our wedding and they were magnificent. Having booked them 8 months in advance, they were professional and communicated promptly when I reached out to check in. They even assisted with song choices and have a vast catalog. They were on time and most of all sounded amazing. Musicians who attended the wedding commented on how great they sounded. We requested both classical and pop selections which they mixed the genres well. I would recommend them to anyone!

We got married at ONE N. Broad/Masonic Temple and Blue Line played string for our ceremony. They had an amazing song list to customize our ceremony with. We got married on August 26 and had Joe Kauffman play violin for our ceremony. He was incredible and helped make our amazing day even more perfect! The Blue Line Quartet was absolutely fabulous. We hired them for our outdoor wedding and cocktail hour and us as well as all of our guests were blown out of the water. Super easy to communicate with, responded promptly to emails (which is so great when you are trying to organize everything else with the wedding), clear with their pricing and music selections. We picked specific songs for our processional, bride entrance, and recessional, one of which they had to compose from scratch (small fee for that, can't remember exactly what it was) and all were perfect. For the half hour before, we just asked them to play nice classical music, no specific requests and they did just that. After the ceremony, they quickly relocated to our reception area and for the next hour had more upbeat lively tunes going on. All the guests loved it and overall they did an amazing job. Reasonable pricing for musicians of this caliber, easy to work with, and overall great experience. Highly recomend!!!!
