We booked Alyssa after having a horrible experience elsewhere. Alyssa brought back our trust in a wedding photographer. I would do it 100 times over! Alyssa is absolutely wonderful to work with and I highly recommend her for both engagement and wedding photos! She was always quick to respond to any questions, big or small, and made us feel so comfortable despite initially being nervous in front of the camera. We both still rave about how much (unexpected) fun we had at our engagement shoot. My fiancé and I booked Alyssa asap once we saw her work and talked to her on the phone. Our wedding is in July 2022 but we’ve already had the pleasure of Alyssa taking our engagement photos. She was so fun, got to know us and even went to our location (Portsmouth) earlier in the day to scope out the best places for pictures. We felt so seen as a couple and comfortable posing. Alyssa was absolutely fantastic!! Not only did she do the job she was hired to do, but went above and beyond when we spoke about a week before the wedding when I needed help figuring out our timeline for the day, and added on an extra hour when we realized we needed it. She was really great about directing people for group photos and fading into the background for candid shots. Our golden hour photos are beautiful, and I honestly believe my bridal portraits could be from a magazine, she made me look that good. She made me and my now husband so comfortable in our engagement photos, and even got some incredible shots of our dog. We've already received our entire edited album less than 6 weeks after the wedding! I would one hundred percent recommend Alyssa for wedding photography.

I am OBSESSED with Alyssa and her work. I'm the type of person that needs to research everything before making a decision, so I compared so many different photographers before choosing one. Alyssa was by far the best quality/value, so I knew she was going to be good but she EXCEEDED my expectations. Not only are our photos absolutely phenomenal but she was so easygoing to work with. Alyssa is such an amazing photographer! She did our engagement photos and shot our wedding. From the preview shots we've gotten so far, I could not be happier with her work. She truly has a sixth sense for when the lighting is best and is so adventurous in her locations -- she definitely puts herself out there in order to get the perfect shot! Despite the fact that she had never been to our venue before, she worked with our venue coordinator to find some gorgeous locations to take photos. We wanted a photographer that made us look more natural and at-ease, someone who could capture our more candid moments and she did just that. Half the time, I didn't realize she was there shooting! Alyssa and her second shooter shot my boss’s wedding which I did the makeup for and they were amazing! The preview pics she posted are incredible! And throughout the day I could see her capturing amazing moments! She’s is insanely skilled, book her as soon as you can!

WOW! Honestly I knew that Alyssa was amazing from working with her previously (she photographed my hair salon Studio 90 and has photographed some of the brides who’s hair I’ve done for their wedding) but I had no idea she would exceed my expectations even more than she had in the past. I have very high expectations since I work in the wedding industry. When I tell you that my photos look like they could be in a magazine I am not lying. Alyssa is so professional, sweet and understanding. She is a pleasure to work with and so was her second shooter. No awkward posing situations and the photos were taken so efficiently that I didn’t feel like we were posing for hours on end. Alyssa had a couple sneak peaks up the next day, AMAZING! One thing I really appreciate about Alyssa is that not every one of her weddings looks the same. She doesn’t use the same “filter” for every bride. We worked with Alyssa for our engagement and wedding photos. She did a wonderful job and made us feel very comfortable and at ease. She arrived early at our venue and picked out incredible spots for our first look photos. Working with her was very natural and she took many candid photos which we wanted. Alyssa pulled us before dinner to take golden hour pictures which came out beautiful. Getting to sneak away from the reception for a couple minutes was one of the highlights of our night. We had such a wonderful experience working with Alyssa! She was punctual, professional and very responsive leading up to the big day and afterward. Alyssa and her assistant, Samantha, were an amazing team to work with. Not only did they have great packages at very reasonable prices, but they really listened to what we wanted and suggested ideas that we didn't know we would want. I met Alyssa exactly a year before our wedding, and we discussed what our wedding would be like and what we were hoping to be captured. On the wedding day, they did such a great job. They captured so many pictures without me even knowing they were there. Alyssa listened to me whenever I asked for a certain type of photo. The great service didn't end at the wedding. We got married in late October, so knowing that we would probably want to give photos as gifts for the holidays, Alyssa asked if I wanted any specifically. I told her which ones I would like and she uploaded them with a few others, which were all so amazing and beautiful. Then a week later she surprised us by uploading our whole gallery, which was almost exactly 2 months from the day of our wedding. I thought that was great as it was 3 days before Christmas. We all know that is a busy time of year for everyone. We are just so happy to have this special moment in our lives captured in such a beautiful way and we will cherish these photos forever. It was such a pleasure to work with Alyssa. From our first few emails all the way up to the big day, she was responsive, flexible, knowledgeable, and professional. Before we even committed to working together, she took time to walk through our venue with me, learn about our vision for our wedding day, and scope out good photo opportunities. Alyssa also helped me plan our wedding day timeline in order to plan for the best lighting. For our engagement session, she was so flexible with time and location. She was willing to walk around in the snow for a couple of hours for the engagement shoot, and she even did some hiking with us on our wedding day. Alyssa was able to adapt to changing environments and would work to figure out the best way to get a good shot. During both the engagement shoot and our wedding day, I especially appreciated her calm, gentle personality. She never made us feel rushed or like we didn’t know what to do. We also loved and appreciated her assistant. They worked together to capture everything we wanted at the wedding. We love our photos and know that we will treasure them for the rest of our lives. We have so many positive things to say about Alyssa and Blue Locket Photography! We first stumbled upon Alyssa’s work online and were immediately drawn to her style. We assumed she would be out of our price range given the quality of her work, but were pleasantly surprised to find she was right within our budget. We didn’t hesitate to book our date and set up our complimentary engagement shoot. The engagement session was a great opportunity for her to get to know us and our style. Alyssa spent hours with us during our engagement session to capture stunning pictures, and we were also able to include our dog in some of the photos! We couldn’t be happier with all of the shots that she captured on the day of our wedding. It was held at a unique location with a lot of character, and I told Alyssa how important it was to me to capture the small details in addition to all the traditional and fun photos. She did exactly what I asked and more. She even pulled us aside briefly for sunset photos, which were BEAUTIFUL and I would highly recommend! Everything went seamlessly on the day of our wedding and many of our guests commented that both photographers were very unobtrusive during the ceremony. Looking back at our photos brings us right back to our special day and we will cherish those memories forever. We can’t recommend Alyssa enough- she is very professional, responsive, easy to work with, and overall incredibly talented. Being the most awkward person on the planet, having someone in my face with a camera really freaked me out. I was so nervous walking into our engagement shoot, but Alyssa totally put me at ease. I originally found her on The Knot and was blown away by her photos. But actually working with her was the best part of the experience. She is so sweet and funny and Max and I were completely comfortable with her during the wedding and engagement shoot. One of my biggest wedding pet peeves is an overly invasive photographer. I have been to so many weddings where the photographers were right in the way, and didn't take the guests into consideration what so ever. But Alyssa and her assistant didn't miss a single photo opportunity and managed to stay on the sidelines. Although I would have been very happy to have them join the party! Alyssa also had THOUSANDS of photos back to us in less than 3 weeks. 3 freaking weeks. And they exceeded every expectation that I had. The photos are absolutely stunning. I scroll through them just about every single week and I've been married 6 months now. The photos are absolutely PERFECT and I love showing them off every single chance I get!

Alyssa was great to work with from start to finish! She spoke with us early in the process and gave great insight into how to plan the day. She was also affordable and allowed us to customize the package to what was important to us (for example adding an extra hour of wedding coverage in place of engagement photos). She asked in advance about all the photos we didn't want to forget to snap. She arrived earlier than planned and was available to pull aside throughout the night for important impromptu pictures. Most importantly she left us with beautiful photos in a timely manner that helped us to relive the whole day!

Alyssa & I met off of Instagram. We collaborated on a creative photoshoot with horses, she did the photos I did the hair. She was very nice and calm, which is what we needed around the horses. Alyssa was a dream to work with. We found her through friends after seeing the breathtaking pictures from their wedding and we were not disappointed! We had an engagement session included in our package that was a great way of meeting her and helped us feel more comfortable in front of the camera. Alyssa was responsive throughout the planning process and provided a survey for us to fill out so she knew exactly what we wanted on the big day. The best ever is right! Alyssa photographed our wedding October 2017 and she was incredible. So kind, so thorough in the details pre-wedding, and so easy to work with. On a day that has so much going on Alyssa has a great cadence to the schedule and went with the flow of the day. She was happy to follow us to anywhere we wanted a photo taken (including down a slippery rockside into the seashore!) She gave us such great preview photos the very next day after our wedding, and when we received the full set (so quick and in the cutest package - with a sweet gift too!) I was over the moon. My fiancee and I booked Alyssa to shoot our engagement session in the Portsmouth area this Spring. We were new to the area and knew that we wanted to hire a good photographer to capture our session perfectly at our favorite new spot-- the beaches in Rye. Alyssa was so accomodating, responsive, helpful and professional. We immediately knew we picked the best! My fiancee and I are both camera shy and Alyssa made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. From the very first picture she made the session feel easy for us, and she even ventured into freezing waters and onto coastal rocks to get some shots. That's how you know a photographer cares! My fiancé and I hired Alyssa from Blue Locket Studios to do an engagement photo shoot recently, and we couldn't have been happier with our photos! We used Alyssa for our engagement session and wedding last September, and we loved working with her! She is sweet, professional, and creative. The day of the wedding, she was there the whole time, taking pictures in the background without being noticed for most events, while also having many creative photo ideas for portrait sessions. My husband Mark and I had the pleasure of working with Alyssa for our wedding and engagement shoot. Neither one of us are huge fans of getting our picture taken, so we felt a bit unnatural in front of the camera. At our engagement shoot Alyssa assured us that even though things feel very unnatural, they will look natural on camera. Alyssa helped us out with posing and sure enough, the engagement pictures came out great! On our wedding day, Alyssa and her assistant were right on time and began working with us immediately. She thought of pictures that never even would have crossed my mind, like taking pictures of the little details of our day such as our wedding favors and centerpieces. My favorite photos that Alyssa took were our outdoor pictures in the rain. Somehow she was able to get the lighting absolutely perfect for pictures happening outside where it was pitch black, with city lights in the background, and rain coming down. She had brought a clear umbrella with her and gave it to us to use as a prop in the pictures, and they came out beautiful. I always hear stories of having to wait 6 months to get your wedding photos, but Alyssa gave us access to some of the highlights less than a month after our wedding so we would have some of our photos in time for Christmas. I am so happy we chose Alyssa as our photographer, she is absolutely amazing!!

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Alyssa throughout our engagement and during our wedding a few weeks ago. Alyssa was fabulous to work with. She is extremely friendly and calming to be around which I think is very important on such a big day. I was also extremely impressed with how prompt she always was not only in responding to questions but also in getting my photos to me. I had my engagement photos and wedding photos within about a week and a half while many of my friends had to wait a month or more. For the price she is an absolute steal. Her work is beautiful and she also has a great personal touch.
