John did an incredible job at my wedding in January. His friendly and professional attitude immediately put everyone at ease. He was also very organized and efficient to ensure we took all the wedding party photos in the short time frame we were allotted by the venue. John also helped with little things throughout the day such as refilling champagne glasses for the toasts. Even several guests came up to me during the reception to tell me how great the photographer was!

We loved working with John! He’s easy to work with, creative and fun to be around! He was able to work with our crazy schedule to find times for our engagement session. On the day of the wedding, he helped keep us on track and quickly navigated unexpected changes! I highly recommend!

John was AMAZING! He is personable, courteous, very knowledgeable, and detail oriented. My husband and I do not like to be the center of attention and were very nervous about having to pose for pictures. John was so personable and we quickly forgot about our worries. Talking and interacting with him felt like talking with an old friend. He was able to move us and capture the love we have for each other. He did an amazing job of giving us feedback and taking candid shots. He was very detail oriented making sure all our guests looked amazing all while being very diligent to make sure no red wine was spilled on my dress! I began my search by choosing vendors with photographs I liked best and then narrowed down my search by price. In my first (online) interaction with John, I could tell that he had a great personality, which I feel is very important when working with a vendor. He thoroughly answered all of my question in a timely manner and made me feel comfortable in trusting him with my engagement and wedding photography. Your search is over, John is absolutely the best photographer you could ever have. He is incredibly professional, replied to every message right away and with a courteous and clear response. He worked with me to find a package that fit my budget and needs. John was absolutely outstanding on wedding day. He knows exactly where to be and what to say to capture the moment. He listened and understood our vision for the photography and totally matched my energy. I usually hate photos and get antsy for them to be over but even the posed portrait session was laid back and quick and John got all the shots. He made us and our guests feel relaxed in front of the camera and he fixed little details like sleeves, veil, brastraps, hair, and ties without it feeling fussy. The candids at the reception and ceremony are also wonderful, I don’t know how he managed to be everywhere at once but he didn’t miss a thing and I was able to interact with our guests without being distracted by photographs. The photos are incredible, rich and beautiful and I know we will cherish them forever.

Amazing photographer! We booked him for our engagement photos. He was very sweet, and he had so many great ideas for pictures. He showed us every picture after he took it and he allows time for outfit changes although I would recommend only one outfit change. He is very affordable with prices. We also did it in December when the trees are turning different colors which made for some really beautiful pictures. I also recommend you wear something that coordinates with the season and also you should consider throwing a hat in there because it makes for some good pictures. Overall, we are very happy with who we picked!

Not sure where to start , I booked John sight unseen, I was skeptical but proceeded with faith . John arrived on time and he was amazing , he paid attention to every detail including a compassionate heart towards my 3 year son . He went above and beyond to make sure our day was extra special , 10/2/22 was the best day of my life and I Thank God John was a part of that day .

The best thing I ever did for my wedding was hiring Blue Media Works Photography to take our pictures. John and Ruben were so professional. It was a pleasure to work with them. My husband has a mobility issue. John and Ruben were so conscious of his needs. They made sure to make accommodations so my husband didn’t get too tired or stood too long. We did a run through photo shoot the month before the wedding. The pictures were gorgeous! I highly recommend Blue Media Works for your photography needs!

John was an amazing photographer to work with for our wedding. Although he is based in the Houston area, he was willing to travel to Austin to take family/wedding photos. He was flexible and understanding when we made changes to the timeline due to the pandemic. He arrived early and worked very well with the two young kids we had in our group. Since we had extra time, he offered to take bridal portraits, which I wasn't expecting, but very much appreciated. The photos were delivered online within 7 business days and they turned out great! John is absolutely fantastic. I would recommend him to anyone! For our engagement shoot, he was fun and made us feel so comfortable and that was clear in the pictures. I was working through some issues during my bridal shoot with him, and long story short, it was a rough time. But John was so patient and kind. He helped me feel better and clearly cared that I felt good and that it was a good experience, which really meant a lot to me because it would have been so easy for him to just brush past it and finish the shoot. But the biggest thing was on our actual wedding day where he and his second worked so hard to make sure everything was smooth and the pictures were fantastic. He was quick and turned around SO MANY pictures, and they were all incredible. I generally hate the way I look in photos, but I actually felt so good in these. He truly did capture the memories of the night in the best way.

Of all the vendors we hired for the wedding, (DJ, Venue, Cake, Food etc.) this was the BEST. John kept everyone calm and served as a kind of impromptu wedding coordinator. He kept everything on track. The pictures were great and he has them to us in less than a week!!! 10/10 would hire again.

We had a wedding at Kemah Boardwalk on a private Yacht and did a small ceremony at the beach house. He captured the moment very eloquently and words cannot do justice to the captivating images we got from John. John walked us through the day and he made time for us, his professionalism speaks volumes. He gave us moments during the day to give us a breather and really listened to our needs. He really got what we wanted and he knew our vision for the wedding. John made such a great companion during the actual reception as he walked us through and reminded us of the next step, he was almost a coordinator for us. Amazing experience

I would highly recommend John for any sort of photography! He was very accommodating and went out of his way to get the pictures I wanted. Our photos turned out beautifully .John had a quick turn around time and provided us with well edited, professional photographs. We loved his work so much that we asked him to shoot our wedding pictures, and he agreed! My fiancé and I can't wait to work with him again. Overall, John is extremely personable and a nice, caring person. He makes you feel comfortable which translates to a beautiful, natural end product. I would highly recommend him for wedding photography to anybody looking for an experienced, professional photographer.

John was our photographer and he was so warm and friendly we quickly felt comfortable and were able to take natural photos that we will always cherish. Our initial meeting with him went great, he clearly answered all of our questions and made sure he understood all the types of shots we wanted to be sure to get. Anytime we e-mailed him a question/concern he was quick to answer. On the wedding day he showed up on time (even earlier, actually!) and started taking photos of my dress, accessories, bouquet, etc. while I was still getting ready. Throughout the whole day he was very professional while also being very friendly and offering lots of great suggestions. He made sure he fully understood our timeline, something our wedding coordinator failed to do. She had forgotten we wanted to do the shoe game during our reception like we had discussed. John came up to us and asked if we had decided to skip it because he was unsure as to why we hadn't done it yet. If it weren't for John keeping up with the schedule we would have missed our chance to play the shoe game entirely. By the end of the wedding we basically felt like he was a friend of ours, he was so easy to work with. Upon looking at the photos we were blown away by the hundreds and hundreds of beautiful photos he took. It has been extremely hard to choose my favorites because they are so great! I truly don't have a single negative thing to say about John and 100% recommend him and Blue Media Works Photography.
