Blue Moon Beats DJs make the most important day in a bride's life the best party of her life. I promise responsive service, my personal attention to every event, and a DJ who is a true entertainer rather than a jukebox.
My DJs and I mix the music, remix songs live, and create mashups on the spot, all within the parameters our clients set ahead of time, and by taking requests at the party. We’re personable and charismatic MCs who keep the party flowing and the guests having fun. We help every bride fulfill her destiny as the star of her wedding day.
We offer a full array of sound, lighting, and video options, as well as photobooths and effects like cold sparks and dancing on the clouds.

Mark, who goes by the stage name DJ Sway, began DJ'ing at Playland Skate Center, where he wanted to create the open format and crowd focused DJ experiences he always craved. He now uses that ability to play all genres for a diverse audience to read the floor and keep guests dancing at weddings and other private parties.
He still maintains his residency at Playland Skate Center, and plays frequent gigs on 6th street and local bars In Austin, and has become known for blending genres and creating mashups that keep the energy high. DJ Sway brings fresh life to familiar tracks, making them feel brand new while ensuring his audience has a great and memorable, time.

Michelle, aka DJ Kazami, is our newest DJ, but she has many years of experience as a wedding DJ. She is also a professionally trained MC through the MarBecca method. She has shared the stage with famous artists such as Markus Schulz and Claude Von Stroke. Michelle has worked many corporate events and destination weddings in Maui, Hawaii. She is versatile in many genres and knows how to read a crowd. She recently won a remix competition through the major record label Realm Records.

Keith, aka DJ Design, is not just a great party DJ, he’s also a semi-celebrity in the hip hop world. While more of a behind-the-scenes player, his work has had a sizable imprint on the history of modern hip-hop.
As a both DJ and Beatmaker, and as a visual artist, he has contributed production and art since the late 90’s for notables including The Beastie Boys, Madlib, A.G., Foreign Legion, Rasco, Peanut Butter Wolf and Phat Kat. But don’t think he’s only going to spin hip hop. He has a vast knowledge of music, and an equally large collection, and can play all the hits you want, plus those great deep cuts to keep the party going!

Unforgettable Wedding Vibes Thanks to Greg and Blue Moon Beats!
We couldn’t be more thrilled with our choice of Greg Gioia from Blue Moon Beats as the DJ and MC for my sister’s wedding! From the moment we began planning, Greg was easy to communicate with and offered excellent guidance. He helped us craft the perfect timeline for the evening and gave us great music suggestions that perfectly matched the vibe we were going for.
The sound and lighting setup were top-tier, with professional-grade equipment that ensured everything looked and sounded amazing throughout the night. As a DJ, Greg did an incredible job reading the crowd and keeping the energy high. The dance floor was packed from start to finish, and everyone had an amazing time!
Greg also did a wonderful job as our MC—he was warm, clear, and professional, keeping the night flowing smoothly without ever being overbearing. His seamless transitions and positive energy made the entire event feel polished and fun.

Greg DJed/MCed my sister-in-law's wedding and did an outstanding job. He arrived at the venue early the morning of the event with his impressive array of gear, setting up a DJ booth, speakers, lights, and even a photo booth in multiple rooms at the art center where the wedding took place. Greg did wonderfully as an MC to gently move the event along, keeping a good timetable while not imposing himself on the proceedings. When it came time to dance he first gave the floor to the newlyweds for a lively first dance before keeping the attendees on their feet for 3 hours of dancing to crowd pleasers from the 50's to the present. He then promptly disassembled his setup and also helped with cleanup of the rest of the event. Through all this he was a pleasure to interact with and was well worth his relatively modest fee considering his services and gear. I would use him again for any kind of event with no hesitation.

Greg was professional and prepared throughout the time working with him. He used the Vibo app which allowed all parties to clearly understand the wedding timeline and associated music cues. He even worked with me directly on a planned surprise for my bride.
Most importantly, he had great energy throughout the wedding day and kept the dance floor full.
Finally, Greg is a hip hop head, so for anyone leaning hip hop, I recommend working with Greg!

DJ Greg Gioia was absolutely INCREDIBLE. We couldn’t have chosen a better DJ for our event. He played all our requests and kept our guests on the dance floor the entire night (this was one of our biggest goals - he made sure we succeeded in this!!!!). He not only played songs available on Spotify/Apple Music but also some of our requested remixes (and father/daughter dance song) that were only available on YouTube. He knew how to get the crowd hyped and he also took requests off the cuff during the reception. Thank you so much, Greg. DJ Greg is the BEST!!! He made the whole process easy and was super organized! Everyone loved dancing to the music and making special requests.
The photo booth was so fun and our guests had a great time using it! My husband and I loved looking through all of the silly photos and we will cherish the beautiful memories from our special day!

Great DJ from start to finish. He made it easy to set up a consultation, answered all our questions, and followed up on everything he said he would. The check-in call leading up to the wedding was very helpful for me to finalize some timeline issues.
And then, at the wedding he was amazing. He moved from one song to the next seamlessly, played so many different styles of music, and really made the day into a party.
His photobooth is great too! Easy to use, all digital props. He sent me all the pictures a few days later and it will make for a great companion to our wedding album.

Greg was so easy and non stressful to work with! He came to our venue prior to our event date to get a feel of the place and suggested various set up options. He also sent me an Excel doc to easy load my favorites and the ceremony music selections. We also did some lighting and the amazing digital photo booth . He took requests from our guests too! We hired Greg to be our wedding DJ and it was an absolutely wonderful choice! He was responsive to all my inquiries and questions before the event, he took the time to send me a song spreadsheet with everything he needed to know from us, and the day of the wedding he showed up on time, was professional and fun, and played all the songs we requested flawlessly! Greg was great to work with and would absolutely hire him again!

Greg is the best DJ in Austin, TX! I highly recommend him! He made our wedding an extra magical day with his great timing and music selection. He took the music list we gave him and made it even better as he added in his own selection along with ours. He is kind with a great sense of humor! He took a mixup we made at the end of the event and made it a barrel of laughs by "Rickrolling" us with Rick Astleys " Never Gonna Give you Up" If you looking for DJ for your event look no further than DJ Greg!

You helped turn a last-minute kerfuffle into something our family gets to remember with sincere fondness.
That was some luck running into you. We consider it a blessing. Even managed to play music I forgot ever existed thank you on behalf of my wife her daughter and her knucklehead thank you.
To folks who are looking, I got to admit I didn't know most of what he played but seemed like everyone else did. First time I danced since hip replacement.
Hope you know we meant it about our own anniversary hope to see you there as a guest but if you happen to bring your records, we won't mind.

Greg has been an expert in keeping the dance floor going whenever I get to see him DJ, and he's got the experience to be able to draw from so many diverse styles of music and bring them into a good flow.
He's great with fielding requests and working them into whatever tapestry of sound that the event has required. He has a great personality, too - always pleasant and fun for guests to chat with. His site has playlists from old events, too, which is great to get an idea of what a set could look like.
I've seen him deal with equipment that happened to have issues - he was able to troubleshoot the problem and get everything running smoothly with very little time lost - it was good to know that he can still turn things around if the unexpected happens.
I'd definitely recommend having him DJ an event - I'd love to attend one again soon myself, as it was one heck of a party :)

I’ve never actually met Greg in person; my experience with his shows has been virtually at the weekly livestreams he’s been doing since the pandemic started in March. They have been a highlight and a bright spot during such difficult times. His shows are fun and personal, his music taste is impeccable, he’s warm and kind, and best of all, he plays all your requests! It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to have him DJ for us all these weeks. If you have the luck of being able to hire him in person, I’d totally recommend him!

I was hired as the videographer at a wedding where the Greg was the DJ. Greg's a great DJ, very accommodating, great taste in music, and super fun. His technical setup was state-of-the-art and he actually helped me out with several cables and outputs. Sometimes DJs are very possessive of space in the venue, electrical outlets, etc. But Greg worked with me as the videographer to make sure we could both do our jobs well. His music selection was great and he constantly had the dance floor full and energetic. He picked some great classic songs and a few I hadn't heard before. He also served as the MC for the wedding, announcing itinerary as it happened. He's a fun dude too and always had people smiling when they came over to talk to him. I would definitely recommend Greg as a DJ.

I really lucked out finding Greg so quickly in my hunt for a DJ. I loved being able to see his past playlists on his website - it gave me a good sense of what our big day could look like, which was essentially, anything we wanted!... as he has such diverse musical taste and knowledge.
He is very organized and I think that was reflected in how everything went off without a hitch, from all of the technical details, working with our videographers, having a separate ceremony and reception area, to managing the detailed time line.
Of course I have to talk about the music too - with a few must have song choices, and a general idea of the type of music we wanted, Greg hit it out of the park. He really kept us dancing, which is the point right? I don't know what else to say about it, except that people will STILL mention how great the music was.
Ultimately, on top of being super knowledgeable about ALL kinds of music, Greg is generous and open-minded, and sincerely tries to understand what his clients want and then goes ahead and delivers on that...and that's what makes him great!

Greg was a fantastic DJ for our wedding. He really listened and honed in our musical interests and played the perfect chill/romantic playlist for dinner and all of our favorite songs to dance to with our family and friends. Would absolutely recommend hiring Greg for any event!
