Perfect for intimate weddings, Blue Moon Rising can host events with up to 100 guests so that you can enjoy a day spent with the most important people in your life. Begin your occasion by saying "I do" in the Universal Evergreen Chapel of Earth, a stunning outdoor ceremony space. While you snap those coveted photos afterwards, Tipi tents can be set up close by for your loved ones to enjoy an elegant cocktail hour. Afterwards, you can dine, dance, and toast to your milestone all night long in the rustic open-air reception area. During the festivities, you will be covered by a tent that will protect the specially built wooden tables. If you're hosting a multi-day occasion, the community building also makes an amazing spot to host an unforgettable rehearsal dinner, with a capacity of up to 60.

derful experience. They made it so easy to communicate with them leading up to the big day. The natural beauty this location has to offer is unmatched. Our wedding day was beyond perfect from start to finish. We cannot thank BMR enough and we cannot wait to return to celebrate our anniversary for years to come.

day (which always seems to go by too quickly!) into a weekend-long party. Having access to the property from Wednesday through Sunday meant we could really take our time with decorating, spending quality time with the group, and relaxing. The staff were attentive, generous, and kind, and ensured that everything ran smoothly so we could focus on enjoying our celebration. We took advantage of the many gathering spaces available, including the picnic area by the dining cabin and the multiple fire pits—and, of course, the tiny cabins were a massive hit with all of the guests who stayed on-site with us! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful outdoor venue, particularly in autumn—Blue Moon Rising offers some of the best views in McHenry, with absolutely jaw-dropping foliage. We are so happy with our choice of where we exchanged our vows, and we can’t wait to come back for a visit very soon!

ursday and we got to all stay at the venue together until Sunday. 48 of our closest family and friends were able to join us for our wedding weekend. It was absolutely magical and intimate. I had dreamt about getting married at Blue Moon Rising for many years and it exceeded all of our expectations. I had always dreamt of a woodsy wedding and this was it! Absolutely perfect. Wish I could do it all again!

is just beautiful. I loved the setting for the ceremony and reception in the woods but also being close to the lake. Everything the entire weekend was perfect. We hosted a welcome gathering on Friday evening, our wedding on Saturday and a brunch on Sunday. The staff at Blue Moon Rising went above and beyond to accommodate us during our entire stay. They were extremely helpful in getting the venue ready for the wedding. They made sure everything looked perfect and also helped me with setting up when I needed to hang something or needed a ladder. They were always available to shuttle us and our guests around in the golf carts. All of the staff were very friendly and followed through on everything we asked of them. All of the guests loved the cabins and many said they hope to come back one day. Also, Rob and Catherine are so wonderful to work with. They are so kind, friendly, and always pleasant. It felt that they truly cared about us and our wedding and made us feel at home at Blue Moon Rising. We love this venue so much and we can’t wait to go back to visit and relive our wedding day!
