Just got married here last night and it was absolutely PERFECT. From start to finish, it was a great experience. Amanda is the best event coordinator I could’ve asked for. She listened intently throughout the planning and executed every request we had. It helps that she’s meticulous and responsive. We met Lisa during rehearsal and her warm energy brought peace to my nerves on the best day of my life! Everyone raved about the food. They accommodated every little adjustment to the menu we had requested. Also, you really can’t beat the views upstairs. It was breathtaking! We cannot recommend enough!

ceremony was on the beach and it was perfect! Our reception was just as perfect, highly recommend the music hall, especially if you have a large amount of guests who like to party! Everyone said the food was delicious and they loved the venue just as much as us! This place is a hidden gem, it includes everything you could possibly need, it is very affordable compared to other venues in New England, especially for being right on the ocean! Highly recommend Blue Ocean to everyone!

The food was incredible and our guests were raving about it! We chose the stuffed chicken and new england baked haddock with the mashed potatoes and carrots. We also added cannolis and fried dough for dessert. Those were a huge hit! You will not be disappointed by this venue.

ho made our day everything we wanted it to be and more. My event coordinators Bonnie & Lisa went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was perfect. They set up all of my decor (I brought a lot with me). I made a binder of what I had and how I wanted everything to look. They followed it to a T and it went beyond the what I could have imagined.
As the bride, I was frequently checked in with. I enjoyed having Bonnie nearby as I waited for my dad to come next to me. They did a fantastic job ensuring I did not accidentally bump into the groom before my walk down the aisle.
After the ceremony and photos. Bonnie & Lisa helped bustle my wedding dress (it was not an easy dress to bustle since my train was so long). Lisa & Bonnie reassured me that they were there to help. At one point, someone called Lisa over the walkie asking for her. She said, “I’m helping my bride right now I am going to be a minute.” It meant the world to me that she stayed and helped me alongside Bonnie. Eventually they were able to successfully bustle my dress alongside my maid of honor.
Our guests could not stop talking about how breathtakingly beautiful it was. The food was also delicious!!! We did filet minion and salmon. As well as, a vegetarian option. Steaks are all cooked medium. However, some can be on the medium rare side. My advice to a future couple is to make sure this is told to your guests. I had some guests who wanted their steak well done. Which in a huge wedding it is only one temperature.
I had a guest who suffers with severe allergies. I was so impressed (and so was she). With the amount of care and compassion the kitchen staff showed to her. They talked to her prior to cooking her food and went over all of her allergies. They even were able to utilize a separate kitchen to ensure her food was safe to eat. My friend actually went to a wedding a day before mine. She said the blue ocean event center made her feel so comfortable & she was actually able to eat (unlike the other wedding she went to). They do a fantastic job at food allergies and take them seriously!
After the reception, the team at the blue ocean event center packaged up ALL of my decor and put it on a cart for my family to wheel out and put into their cars.
I cannot say enough good things about how wonderful my wedding was. I will recommend the Blue Ocean Event Center to anyone! Thank you for making my wedding exactly what I imagined and more.

Amanda ensured that all the various vendors and details came together seamlessly, and we couldn't be more grateful for her expertise and dedication. She was always available to answer any questions and provided invaluable advice that contributed to the smooth flow of our wedding day.
The food at BOEC was phenomenal – our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was. The staff were amazing and attentive, making sure that everyone had everything they needed and that every detail was perfect.
Also the venue itself - it is simply gorgeous and the ocean view ceremony space can't be beat. The ambiance was perfect and truly set the stage for a night we will never forget.

We opted for beachside ceremony and indoor reception at the ocean room. We hosted 60 guests, and we were able to see the excellent service they provided for our guests. Amanda at the BOEC has done a wonderful job executing the event from start to finish, and our vision was clearly well communicated across staff (coordinators, servers, and bartenders.) you will see that in your portal file too, so if there was something missing.
During cocktail hour, we had a bacon wrapped brisket, my for food we opted for the NE baked haddock and stuffed chicken with a side of carrots and rice pilaf, and they were absolutely DELICOUS. For a vegetarian option we chose the curried biriyani which everyone loved.
In terms of vendors, we worked with a florist and a DJ from their preferred vendor list, which made delivery and set up a breeze. The baker was not on the list, but they have been there before.
Overall, I highly recommend the BOEC for your event!

ely amazing from the start. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating. She took our wedding décor and displayed it in such an incredibly beautiful manner, from card box and guest book tables, memorial tables, and centerpieces. The venue itself is stunning. We got married right on the beach and then the reception was in the Grand View hall, which had huge windows lining the walls, making it feel like you were on a cruise ship with ocean all around you. The day was absolutely perfect and everything I had envisioned it to be, thanks to Amanda and the rest of the staff! I highly recommend this venue for anyone interested in an ocean front, perfect wedding :)

e arrived at 4 as planned, she told us she was planning for 4:30 so it was a bit messy and our guests just had to wait around.
On wedding day, there was a random thunder storm which was crazy and so unexpected right before the ceremony. Ann did what she could to keep the ceremony outside and I appreciated that. However, the rain kept us inside but the ceremony went off fine. I paid for a consumption bar and 6k towards our guests drinks but found out that people were paying for drinks during cocktail hour and randomly during the night (paid initially then didn’t the second time in some instances). It just didn’t feel like they used the 6k towards drinks as they said. When I questioned this, I was told they have a “new system” and it didn’t calculate tips/taxes correctly. In addition, I was told I would have 2 bars open throughout the night (since we had 170 guests) and this was not the case. There was one bar open during the reception and bar line went right in front of the sweetheart table which was pretty annoying. When i inquired about why this was, Ann said the other bartender “slipped in the kitchen”. My signature drink was a cocktail in honor of my late grandparents— a Canadian club and ginger ale. Myself and Ann discussed this months in advance and she assured me they could accommodate Canadian club (a cheap whiskey), however, I went to get myself a drink at one point in the night and noticed the bartender poured me a Jameson and ginger ale—- I asked her if I could have the correct whiskey as stated in the signature drink and she stated “ i don’t know why she told you that, we don’t have that”. In addition to this, some of those who ordered beef couldn’t eat their meal because it was so undercooked while others told me theirs was over cooked or cooked fine. To top it all off, at the end of the night, a woman working the bar (not ann because she had already left for the night), told me I needed to take everything home (when we agreed months before that I could keep it and get it the following day). I asked her how she expected me to carry several glass signs on the school bus we had to transfer us back to the hotel and she didn’t seem to care how i got these back, even if they were special to me. Luckily, a family member volunteered to come get them and bring them back for me. However, some items were left over and I tried to pick them up the next day and they were nowhere to be found.

We appreciated everything she did for us, her creativity, and the ease of planning the perfect wedding reception with her help. From the stunning setup she and her superb team at the venue put together for our reception, to the delicious food that every single one of our guests enjoyed, all while enjoying the beautiful oceanic scenery through the tall windows. From the bottom of our hearts we extend a massive thanks to Amanda and everyone who worked so hard to make our day a truly special one. All of the stress, worry, and hard work resulted in a spectacular night our family and friends are still talking about!

That team listened and executed every last detail flawlessly! Not only was everything perfect, they served our guests with a smile and were overly accommodating. There were pieces I didn’t want bother the team with like moving the flowers from the ceremony down to the reception, but they read my mind and there they were. Absolutely first class in every way.
As an HR Manager, I know how hard it is to build highly functioning teams and get communication right. You have perfected this during a time when staff is hard to come by and the level of service has diminished in so many organizations. You all shined like a diamond and made our day shine too! ws and our wedding coordinator was so knowledgeable and responsive that we could not go anywhere else. Thank you to Amanda Graham for that!!! Fast forward to our wedding year, we did have a change in wedding coordinators but we were informed in a timely manner and had a smooth transition. When we got to meet our new coordinator, Lisa Whitehead, in person for a planning meeting, Lisa answered every single question we had and we were put at ease that this was going to be the most amazing day and Lisa and her staff would make sure that our vision would come to life. And so they did! We had rain on our wedding day and had to switch to an indoor ceremony and obviously as a bride I was so devastated, but Lisa went above and beyond to make sure the our wedding ceremony was beautiful. We were taken care of all day up to the minute we left by Lisa, Jenny and Carlos. We cannot say enough good things about this staff! Brides, come prepared and know that this staff will absolutely take care of you on your wedding day!

In full transparency, during the planning process, there were a few miscommunications with the venue as we were given several different coordinators to work with over the past year, but we worked through them and ultimately our wedding day was everything we could have hoped for and more.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning and super accommodating with whatever you need. The staff is extremely friendly and all of our friends cannot stop talking about what an amazing venue it was. Planning our wedding during a pandemic was no easy task. But they were super flexible and worked with the guidelines to keep our guests safe.
We worked with Amanda who was really helpful and sweet. She was always quick to respond to emails and kept us in the loop with any updates.
I wished there had been a little more communication up front as far as setting dates and timelines etc of when things would be needed and a general overview of the planning process and what that would look like.
Our tasting was sooooo good! The food we decided on was amazing and our guests still rave about it. Amanda did a wonderful job of streamlining all our vendors arrivals and drops offs without any issues.
Blue Ocean was wonderful and I recommend them to any bride who wants ocean vibe!

ommodating and took care of everything for us. All we had to do on the day of our event was show up, get dressed, and eat lunch in our ready rooms - how refreshing after this chaotic year! They were transparent through each step of changing restrictions throughout the pandemic and were adaptable when we needed to postpone our reception event as a result. I probably emailed Amanda about 100 times as things kept changing but she had no issue moving things around and helping us creatively adjust until we found plans we loved.
The food was fantastic! The music space (and of course the ocean view) are stunning even without decor (but they still decorated with our supplies incredibly!). Our families had the best time and can't stop raving - one of our musician friends is already trying to figure out how to book a show here. XD

tract. Once the pandemic hit, Amanda was great with sending me updates along with explaining in detail what each announcement made by the Governor meant and what the restrictions were. Unfortunately, I ended up having to cancel due to the pandemic and Amanda was not only so understanding and kind throughout the process she also refunded my deposit. With such a stressful time, it is so amazing having a venue team that is so understanding and flexible. I would recommend this venue to anyone!

wedding and so much of that is due to Blue Ocean's staff and in particular our coordinator Jess Kelly. I can't possible stress enough have EASY she made everything for us. Any idea we had crazy or otherwise was executed perfectly with care an attention. We were so much less stressed because of the amazing skills she has as a coordinator. It was just so easy to work with her. Food was a big thing for us and Blue Ocean having their own restaurant did not disappoint. I have people in my family asking me if I could ask the chef for his recipe for the beef dish we had. The bartender we had was outstanding and could make any drink thrown her way,. If you want to get married on the beach in MA there is just no better place then Blue Ocean. It felt magical walking around outside on the boardwalk after the wedding and watching the fireworks with our loved ones while we said goodnight.

ough the whole process answered every email and gave her professional advice on every single question I had. I only got bouquets for the wedding party I wasn’t happy with what they gave me and day of the wedding Jess problem solved. She took care of every detail down to keeping me calm. Also the fact that I didn’t hire a florist for center pieces and ceremony accents didn’t even make a difference the rooms looked stunning!!!! It was the perfect venue and working with Jess made it a perfect stress free night...

and the food was.

ing with Jess & Kate. They were so helpful with all of our questions. Jess, Kate & their staff had made our reception look more beautiful than we could ever have imagined. It’s been a month already and we are still getting complements on how delicious the hors d’oeuvres & entrees were. The rest of the staff were equally as amazing with packing up our decor & holding it for a couple of days (due to the holiday weekend). Hands down the best experience & made our day feel even more special!

The food they served was delicious! What's best is this place is affordable. We ended our summer night wedding with fireworks (a fabulous freebie!) and it's a hit that makes our wedding day so memorable. I highly recommend this place and its staff to anyone looking for an affordable sea side wedding event (or any event!).

e originally went to see the venue we knew it was beautiful but we never imagined how absolutely stunning the ballroom would be decorated and lit up by candle light at night. Every detail of our ceremony in the Ocean Room was perfect. The sun coming through the large windows with the ocean underneath us as we took our vows was simple, yet breathtaking. You can not beat that gorgeous ocean view. The ballroom was incredible and exactly what we wanted. The food was delicious and they even offered Gluten free options for some of our guests.
Kate was amazing, compassionate and so attentive to every email (they were sent almost daily the closer it got to our wedding day) She always replied quickly and kept us well informed every step of the way! She answered all of our questions and her attention to detail was impeccable. She made sure everything went smoothly and we did not have to worry about anything. She made all the very stressful planning seem so simple and we cannot thank her enough for that. On the day of she was waiting outside to greet my bridesmaids and I and she ensured that our ceremony and reception went off without any issues and kept everything on time because she knew we wanted sunset beach photos. Those were the details that meant the most to us. She understood our vision for our big day, coordinated with all of our vendors, and made sure our wedding day was everything we had dreamed of.
We highly recommend this venue and its staff for any event, especially weddings and we are from the bottom of our hearts so thankful for everything you guys did to make our wedding day a truly unforgettable one. We had many guests say it was the most fun and beautiful wedding they have ever been to! They all really loved the bartending staff as well!

ious our guest loved it! Everything was served nice and hot. We had a live band play at our wedding and they were able to provide us with lights and sound so we have no worries with that. The space was elegant having the backdrop of the Alantic ocean behind us felt like we are on a boat. The service was amazing!! The day of the wedding we did not have to worry about a thing. The timeline worked very well we did not have to rush through anything. We never had to worry!! Our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. And my husband and I both agree that it was the best days of our life!

set and was helpful the day of as our on site coordinator. Leading up to the wedding, things were quite rocky at points. Our initial contact, who does not work at the venue anymore, was misleading and not up front with certain charges and dollar amounts for the event. She also had given us incorrect information at our tasting when we had decided on meals stating if a guest did not like the food or want to change their mind, they would give them the additional plate and charge us for both. For this reason, we decided to only go for one option of food instead of offering a choice. Luckily, Stacy was able to help guide us with changes that could be made once she became our point of contact. Stacy is a very kindhearted person and cares about her brides and their wedding day. My only point of improvement that needs to be made would be emailing closer to the event. Both my mother and I sent emails that were either unanswered for a few days, or the emails were not fully addressed or responded to. I had a few questions, some of which needed to be repeated to get an answer. Other than that, my guests loved the food, the day went perfectly, and it was AMAZING to get married by the ocean!!!

Between the amazing staff and the coordinator Kate we had the most magical day ever. There is not one thing we wish went differently. The room was set up perfect and all my guests complimented on the food. Dave and myself have always loved this location and are so glad we picked this for our dream seaside wedding!

She remembered everything we told her, thought of things we never mentioned and solved crisis before we knew they were happening! All while keeping me calm and making me feel special. The food was provided by the venue and it was all delicious! We got great reviews from our guests on the food and the views and the boardwalk right outside is a great place for fun and pictures! We were also there during July and so we had a great view of the towns fireworks!

The view from the Grandview Ballroom cannot be beat; our guests were in complete awe and also enjoyed being able to watch us all take photos on the beach from the ballroom above. The food at Blue Ocean is spectacular - our guests all praised everything from the apps to the main courses. The even staff was wonderful and received compliments from our guests. Throughout the process, we were continuously impressed by how willing the venue was to work with us on every little request, even up until just days before the wedding. Thanks to Stacy, the logistics worked out perfectly and I can honestly say that nothing went wrong on my wedding day - it was absolutely perfect. My husband and I had been to a comedy show at Blue Ocean Music Hall a few years back, and having our wedding there hadn't really crossed our minds until it was suggested to us ... ...
but boy are we glad it was! We had exhausted venue options on the North Shore and once we visited Blue Ocean, we were sold. It was important to us to find a place that was located close to our families, could hold 180 guests comfortably in one room (with unobstructed views), had unique qualities and was set on the water. After sitting down with Amy the first night we checked out the space, we immediately realized the Music Hall encompassed everything we wanted.
While we were impressed with how Amy accommodated our requests, answered our questions, and above all, made sure everything ran smoothly on our wedding day, Blue Ocean could definitely use more event planners. With three spaces and events taking place regularly, it seems quite challenging for just two people to handle every little detail.
There were so many memorable moments the day of our wedding - the dances, the speeches, being surrounded by our closest family and friends - but one of the more unique ones was created by the weather. As we got married, and at several points throughout our reception, these great big waves crashed against the windows, which was quite the sight and something we'll never forget (and neither will our guests)!

The all inclusiveness of this venue option was top notch. 4 course meal, champagne, table numbers, centerpieces- all included. I was shocked. They even added some seaglass to the tables after I asked about it. I can't say enough good things- you cannot go wrong with the delicious food and amazing views you get here.
