ects my personal experience and why I would not recommend this service based on what happened during my wedding planning process. From the start, I felt I didn’t receive meaningful planning support. On our pre-wedding phone calls, whenever I asked for guidance or advice, I was repeatedly told things like “It’s up to you” or “What do you want it to be?”—which left me feeling just as lost as I was before hiring a planner. I had specifically chosen her because she said she could help with the composition of my wedding ceremony script, but when the time came, I was told to “use Google or online resources” instead. Another major concern for me was communication with vendors. Throughout my planning process, none of my vendors were contacted by her until about a week before the wedding. Several vendors even noted this to me. My photographer mentioned that he usually hears from planners much earlier, and at the end of the night he told me he didn’t even realize I had a wedding planner at all. On the day of the wedding, my ceremony was at 4 PM, but the planner didn’t arrive until around 1:30 PM—even though many vendors were scheduled to arrive in the morning. When I asked about this beforehand, I was told Amy and Heather were coming later because they don’t really help set up anything besides possibly placing table numbers. I had my bridesmaids help the vendors and set up table pieces like candles, vases, etc. because the planners were not there to help. That left me confused about why I had paid $1,000 for planning support when I still had to handle so much myself, or have someone else handle it. The wedding rehearsal was also disappointing. I had expected assistance with details about coordinating the processional, but when even the officiant asked specific questions, the planners simply responded with “Whatever you want” or “It’s totally up to you.” Even my officiant commented on how unprofessional the interaction felt. What made everything feel even more frustrating was how often I was asked to include a headcount of two for the planners’ meals, despite feeling like they spent much of the wedding standing around and not communicating with me. Amy let me know she was leaving, but Heather didn’t even let me know when she left at the end of the night. She was not there to help organize any takedown or communicate with others about takedown of decorations. Overall, I left the experience feeling frustrated, unsupported, and confused about what services I actually received. This review is not meant to be hurtful—just an honest reflection of my personal experience and why I cannot recommend Blue Orchid Event Planning based on what I encountered.

t year and presented sensible and elegant options that we could work with. Amy had a plethora of options for everything we thought of as well as didn’t think of yet. Our wedding on June 21, 2025, was amazingly beautiful and one that will be cemented in our hearts forever. I sincerely doubt we would have as good of an event without their expertise. Day of assistance was equally invaluable. Any snag for that occurred was quickly remedied by the team. We could not recommend Blue Orchid any more for any planned event.
