Blue Orchid Events & Design

ing and allowed my husband and I to fully relax and enjoy our day. Abby’s team did an amazing job of coordinating all the bridal party chaos while still remaining nice and organized. She was not bossy or rude but instead kind and clear in her directions. She was always available to answer any questions and was on top of every request. I planned my wedding from out of state and she made amazing vendor recommendations! She took my vision and made it come to life! If you are looking for a wedding planner you have found your person!

nging the energy come day of. Abby is super responsive and has great connections in the wedding industry space which made a lot of our planning seamless. The behind scenes work she puts doesn’t go unnoticed and she made sure everything was absolutely perfect for my husband I! Can’t thank her and her team enough! Go book Abby now before you regret it :)

we hit the jackpot! She was the only planner who actually laid out her process for us so we could understand. We felt so comfortable with her. She is obviously very experienced and since my mom and I can be very indecisive sometimes we really appreciated Abby always giving us her honest opinion so we could make a decision. Also, what stuck out most to me about Abby is how she always put us first no matter what. We had lots of difficulties with our venue and Abby always made sure she did whatever it took to put us first, which I feel like many other vendors would have put themselves first because most care about their status with venues. I appreciated that she always made us a priority. We were always so impressed with how professionally she dealt with everything. When it came to the wedding day I was so stress free because I knew Abby would have everything under control. Even when my hair and makeup was running an hour late, Abby called me to tell me not to worry that everything was on track. If I didn’t have Abby as my planner I know this would have caused so many issues for our day. She made everything run so smoothly. I am seriously so impressed by Abby and will recommend her to all my friends. Abby, my mom and I will forever be appreciative to you. Thank you for everything.

appreciated. We would highly recommend her without reservation.

l, organized, flexible, and most of all – she was so kind and calm to work with (which is SO important in an event planner!). She made everything so smooth and calm through all of my million questions and requests. My entire wedding party, family, and friends had nothing but positive things to say about Abby and her team. We worked with her for over a year and couldn’t recommend her more! All of her vendor recommendations were spot on and she helped me cut costs to stay within budget throughout the entire process. Book Abby if you want to have the sweetest/calmest planner ever that will put on an amazing event that runs smoothly and is authentic to you and your partner. We love you Abby!!! – Parker and Dylan

fraid to try fun/modern things with you! All of my bridesmaids complimented her to me during the wedding - describing her as welcoming, calm, and so nice (but also directive in the best way!!). She was just what this “type-A” couple who loves to have fun needed. She really brought our vision to life and made the entire day something we will remember forever.

eat introductions, and we would never have found our amazing venue without her. She was incredibly patient and kind, guiding us through the process and keeping us on track, since we only had an 8 month engagement. On the day of, her answer to everything was "no problem." She and her team worked so hard to make sure everything was running on time and in the proper place, so that we didn't have to worry. We couldn't have done it without her!

se I trust her and her team completely!

he venue we got married. We connected with her once and decided we had met the right person. We worked with Abby for over a year! She connected us with all the right people, helped organize meetings with them, and just generally kept everything organized and moving along up to the wedding. The wedding day was an absolute dream. I saw Abby a few times but mostly I just enjoyed the day! She is cool, calm, collected, and knowledgable.

he exceeded every expectation I had. She was there for literally EVERYTHING. She is the absolute sweetest, so organized, well prepared and made our day go seamlessly. Not to mention she is an expert at bustling wedding dresses :) If you hire Abby, you won't worry about a thing on your wedding day!

nning the whole show on the day of, she really took the stress off of my husband and I. The makeup and hair team kept commenting on how much of a low stress bride I was on the wedding day, and it’s all because of Abby! If you haven’t found your planner yet, definitely give Abby a call.

ating, coordinating, and planning. I'm amazed by how many small details she was able to coordinate and manage. Weddings can be chaotic, and Abby really knows how to get everything under control and keep things moving along seamlessly. We had a wonderful wedding, and I am so grateful to her for enabling such a happy, meaningful, stress-free day for us! Abby also has a great working relationship with other vendors. When we were reaching out to vendors early in the planning process, many seemed visibly excited and relieved to hear we were working with her. We kept hearing, "Oh you're working with Abby! That's fantastic - she's so great!" I think it really helped the day run smoothly that she had a strong relationship with our vendors. Abby also delivered savings that almost certainly exceeded her fees. She helped us brainstorm ways to do things more cheaply and gave us pricing benchmarks to help us negotiate with vendors. To sum, be smart and hire Abby for your wedding!!

s, and we knew we were going to need a lot of help. We also didn't have a super clear idea of what design we wanted for our wedding so we were going to need a lot of direction. Abby really came through for us! She is incredibly professional, responsive, and experienced. She helped us budget and stay on track with the mountain of tasks that needed to be done. With Abby, we found every single one of our vendors including the venue space, and every vendor we used exceeded our expectations. She met with us and the vendors over Zoom, working with our hectic schedules, and she also met with us a few times personally when we were in town. When we were lost about what to do with our wedding design, Abby gave us some amazing suggestions and it all came out beautifully at the wedding. A few days before the wedding, our hotel where we were supposed to get ready cancelled because of a hurricane, and Abby stayed on top of communicating to all the vendors about the last minute change in plans. On the day of, she and her assistant helped us stay on time and were on standby, always looking to us if we needed anything. It's clear that Abby loves what she does because it shows in her work! We highly recommend Blue Orchid Events for any couple that wants a seamless wedding planning experience :)

ntire process—from larger design concepts to small day-of items—was invaluable, and we are so grateful for her support not only on our wedding day, but in the months leading up to it! She was always so helpful with every question we peppered her with—big to small. She made us feel so comfortable and calm on our wedding day, and it could not have gone more smoothly. It was the best, most fun party of our lives largely in part to Abby’s planning! We are so grateful to her and the team!

anning. Abby is extremely communicative and a total pro. She had great ideas and vendors to choose from. Our event went perfectly and there's not one thing we'd change. As hectic as weddings are, Abby made it so easy and we would 100% recommend her to anyone. Abby, thank you so much for being you!

ion worry or concern we had no matte how big or how small whenever we needed. She made us feel so assured that everything would go as planed on our day. As an extremely type A person this is hard to do. Everything went exactly as envisioned and we seriously could not have pulled off the most magical day without her. I say to every person that asks the absolute best thing you can do is hire a planner, specifically Abby. I cannot recommend or thank her enough for all the time and effort, and stress reducing she did for us!

lanning we could have made. She is so patient, knowledgeable and connected in the wedding industry in south Florida and helped us every step of the way. From logistics to design choices, we never felt overwhelmed during our wedding planning process. She answered all of our many emails and questions no matter how big or small and her organization is truly unmatched. All of her work allowed us to have the absolute best wedding day we could have imagined and more. Even when we ended up with a rainy day forecasted for our outdoor ceremony, Abby helped us make an informed decision and led our team of vendors to pivot and have the most beautiful indoor ceremony. I did not have to worry about a single thing as Abby and her team handled everything on the big day. Abby and Blue Orchid Events & Design did such an amazing job and I would recommend them to anyone getting married in south Florida.

g, but COVID of course had other plans. She was there through it all, the exciting initial booking, the painful rescheduling of date AND venue, the most perfect big day and everything in between. My now husband and I moved to Miami where we had no family or friends, and Abby was the best not only for wedding planning guidance but also being a friend. I could not have done it without her and I would recommend her a million times over. She had amazing vendor suggestions, really knows her stuff, and is just an all-around amazing, beautiful human. My friends and family were obsessed with her when they finally got to meet her for our big weekend! The only regret I have is not getting a photo with her on our wedding day…. Add that to your shot list because you’ll wish you had the perfect picture to look back and remember all the hard work she put in for you!!!! Abby you are the best and we’re so grateful for you, we love you!

h a different planner, we found Abby and immediately knew that she would be able to give us the guidance we were looking for. Her organization, recommendations, and professionalism gave me peace of mind and helped bring the entire wedding vision to life. Being a type A person and an out-of-town bride, I worried a lot about forgetting or missing things during the wedding planning process, especially planning a wedding from a different state. Abby covered absolutely EVERYTHING which helped me relax in the months leading up to our wedding knowing that Abby would bring anything to our attention that needed to be taken care of. On the day of, Abby and her team made everything run so smoothly even when our timeline was off due to hair and makeup taking longer than expected. I have no doubt that our wedding would not have been the same without Blue Orchid Events and we cant thank them enough!

nements later, we were finally able to have our big day. She stuck through it with us and helped us keep almost every vendor through each date change. She was literally my savior through this planning process, kept all the details organized and my anxiety at ease. If there is one person you need by your side during your big day (aside from your spouse) it's her. She handles everything like a boss and I couldn't be more pleased with how our day turned out. She worked with our vendors to make sure our day was exactly how we wanted it and I could not be more grateful!

cocktail hour, the flowers and the band. What I should have realized was the most important thing was the planner. I’m not sure you know, but Rachel picked you immediately and didn’t want to listen to any other suggestions. By now you know when Rachel makes up her mind about something she’s usually very confident (and usually right). From our first meeting to our last hug you were unreal. I can use all the adjectives…. Calm, detailed, responsive, available, re-assuring, prompt, etc… but they will never be enough to express how unbelievably fantastic you are at your job. I was TOTALLY able to experience, enjoy, and be “present” for the entire weekend. I didn’t have a single second of worry and it is all because of you and your team. Sydney was great in handling Friday night……also a beautiful evening.

, the owner of Blue Orchid Events & Design, is extremely competent, highly organized, incredibly responsive, wonderfully creative, and a natural problem solver. From the big picture all the way down to the smallest details, Abby makes planning a wedding simple and stress-free. I selected our date, found our venue, and then hired Blue Orchid for their partial planning package. Blue Orchid gave us a short list of vendors for each open category (catering, photography, stylist, florals, etc) and the ones we selected from their list were equally on-point. Not only was the planning process a breeze, but when it all came together on the day-of... it was spectacular. Abby and her team truly love what they do, and it shows every step along the way, in addition to the day-of. The best decision I made regarding my marriage was saying 'yes' to my now husband when he asked me to marry him, and the second best decision I made was hiring Blue Orchid to plan our wedding.

friend in the process. She is so patient and knowledgeable and will guide you in the decisions with ease. Abby will always have an answer for your questions and always gets back to you in a timely manner. Abby is so flexible as well with your schedule. For the day of the wedding, she is amazing. She is so talented and literally has everything under control with a smile. She allows you to enjoy yourself and take in the moments of the big day. You will not regret working with Abby! She was the best decision we made when it came to our wedding!!

We absolutely recommend her.

efore. To say I am thrilled I had Blue Orchid plan our daughter's wedding is an understatement. Abby and the staff, took care of every single detail from setting appointments with venues and vendors, assisting in contracts, design, to making sure everything was completed including getting all the bridal staff and groomsmen ready on the big day including steaming garments, arranging delivery of wedding items and returning of all items the day of the wedding. I could go on with thousands of details, which are too many to list. Abby's professionalism and follow-up on every detail made our time during the planning of the event stress free. Her cheerfulness, smile and positive attitude were so much appreciated in planning the event during these difficult times. Thank you for the wonderful planning you did out our daughter's and son-in-law's wedding. I will highly recommend you to anyone who needs a planner.

o wedding planning thinking I would hire a planner and I am BEYOND glad that we had Abby. She came on to help us for day of in what was an incredibly stressful work/life/wedding planning tornado and from our first interaction made my husband and I feel incredibly comfortable and taken care of. She is amazing and I genuinely don’t know what I would have done those weeks before the wedding without her. To know that I could go into my wedding day absolutely knowing everything was taken care of was priceless. Our wedding was more than we could have dreamed of in part because of her.

our wedding day. It was at that time that things started to get very stressful in the wedding planning process and Abby was there to step in, take most of the tasks off our plate, and tie it all together. She is incredibly good at what she does. She is extremely organized, professional, reliable, flexible, easygoing, fun, creative, and compassionate. She communicates so well with all of the vendors and is efficient in making a day-of timeline that works for everyone. Abby was critical in helping to solve conflicts and miscommunications between us and the vendors when issues arose. She took extra time out of her schedule to help resolve them because she wanted our day to be perfect. Abby also was the one who led us to some of our most amazing vendors based on her recommendations. She is respectful and is a great listener - she genuinely wants your day to be exactly how YOU want it to be. Abby was always available to speak with me and answer any questions I had throughout the whole process without any form of judgment and made us feel like her only client. She brings only positive vibes to your day and her compassionate, fun energy is palpable. I cannot recommend Blue Orchid enough for your wedding day - we owe so much of our magical day to her!

ur wedding vision become a reality. She is very organized, trustworthy, communicative, calm, and confident--an overall amazing person to work with. My indecisive personality made every choice of detail a stressful task, but Abby knew my exact vision and always guided me in making these important decisions. She recommended a selection of her favorite well-respected vendors and rental companies to narrow our choices based on what we wanted. She worked with us every step of the way and was the leader during phone calls, Zoom meetings, and in-person meetings with various vendors. Everything came together perfectly on our wedding day, even despite having to go with our backup indoor option due to rain. It turned out better than we expected! She made sure everything was taken care of so we didn't have to worry. We had the best time of our lives and it truly was the wedding of our dreams. We cannot thank Abby enough!

lways with a smile! Thank you for making our wedding literally perfect.

e contacted and organized all my vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. When it came to day of... OMG, Abby was there from get ready to sparkler exit. And she was always easy to find. She even came to steam my bridesmaids dresses and my wedding dress the morning of. An absolute treasure she is! You needed something, she had it in her magic fanny pack. For example, my husband forgot deodorant, and we were all already at the venue. No worries, cause Abby whipped it out her magic fanny pack. She also coordinated the rehersal, and the ceremony went so smoothly on wedding day. Just a blessing, to have that relief off my shoulders the day of so I could relax and truly enjoy my most special day. Abby will take care of EVERYTHING! There is no better coordinator out there. You've found her, and what a gem she is.

s by another vendor, which I loved knowing our vendors had worked together before. Abby was extremely organized, efficient, and really brought my whole vision together. We had the partial planning package and worked with Abby for almost a year leading up to the wedding, and of course, on wedding day. We had hired a few vendors prior to hiring Abby (requirement for the partial planning package) and she really helped me pull together the design and vision for the day including flowers and upgrades that really brought the day together (chivari chair and charger rentals, dance floor wrap, printed menus and favor tags). Abby got quotes from several vendors for each area and set up zoom calls with those we wanted to consider. She communicated timelines and expectations with vendors prior to the wedding and on the wedding day she took care of everything while we got ready and took pictures! If you don’t think you need a wedding planner, you are wrong – you need Abby and Blue Orchid Events. We could not recommend them enough!! Thank you, Abby!

t planners by trade, my now husband and I knew almost exactly what we wanted and needed help with, but did not have the bandwidth to do it all. Most of the help we needed was on the day of the event as there were SO many moving parts, but Abby proved herself amazing throughout the whole time we worked with her. (It also helped that I felt I could trust her right away. Her bubbly personality I picked up on as we chatted for the first time over the phone totally won me over!). In the months just prior to the big day, Abby was fantastic at being the go-between with our hotel and was our best advocate, especially because we had some communication issues with the hotel coordinator. Abby was able to understand our needs and communicate them diplomatically and with grace, and work out any conflict. In fact, we wish she was present for us at our tasting at the hotel (which happened 9 months in advance of the wedding, because that's when we were able to make it down to FL). In the days leading up to and including our big day, Abby seamlessly transformed herself into an extension of us - our arms and legs, she was our octopus tackling all our to-dos that we weren't able to manage as the "stars of the show." My husband and I were able to relax and know that everything was being handled the way we wanted with confidence. Day-of, Abby was particularly great at workshopping the change of ceremony location due to that day's rain. She not only helped work out the important details but also was a shoulder to cry on and a voice of comfort when I realized I was not going to get my dream of getting married outside on the boardwalk. She was patient and gentle as I processed the information, and also guided me in making those timely decisions in moments of high stress. We love Abby and would highly recommend her company and services to anyone and everyone looking for a wedding coordinator!

knew I needed her! From start to finish she was attentive and responsive to any questions and needs I had. I was nervous about wedding planning before we booked blue orchid but with her help not only was it easy it was fun. We feel that we didn’t just get an amazing wedding planner but we gained an amazing friend who we will never forget. She made our day so special we can’t thank her enough. Best decision we made for our wedding was hiring Abby.

d, and we could not have been happier to work with her. From start to finish, she was kind, thorough, organized and incredibly helpful. There are countless aspects to planning a wedding. There are so many questions, concepts and little nuances that never cross the average person’s mind. Abby helped us through every single step and then some! Every time we would be planning part of the wedding, Abby asked a few detailed questions to us or the wedding coordinator that we had never considered. She knew every single detail that goes into planning and helped to organize my wife and I. She was quick to respond to every single text, email or phone call and would immediately help us out. There were a few instances where last minute complications arose, and Abby would handle them quickly and efficiently. Literally, I cannot speak highly enough about Abby and her organization. Abby was also able make the event run flawlessly. She managed us, family, vendors and was willing to step in to help in any way. She had our day planned out to the minute, and because of her great organization, our special day went perfectly. To be completely honest, when my wife said that she was hiring a wedding planner, I was skeptical about it. I can tell you without any hesitation, that I was wrong. It was one of the best decisions ever to work with Abby. If you are planning a wedding, you should without a doubt use Abby with Blue Orchid Events & Design. Seriously, you don’t need to read about any other planners… just choose Abby. It will be the right decision for you.

they would make our wedding dreams a reality. We met Abby & her team at the Fort Lauderdale Wedding Expo shortly after our engagement. We were looking for a full wedding planning service because we needed a professional to help make our day beautiful, allow us to enjoy the planning experience, and were overwhelmed with the enormous amount of details. I knew from the moment I met Abby that she was the right person for the job. Abby has been professional, organized, kind, helpful, trustworthy, communicative, supportive, and just incredible. She helped us every step of the way and provided us with great references for other vendors. Abby smoothly sailed over every bumpy wave and answered all of our questions. Abby designed the most incredible ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception space. Everything came out better than I could have imagined, we were blown away! Our wedding day was just magical. We are eternally grateful to Abby & her team. I highly recommend Blue Orchid Events & Design!! I will forever cherish the memories from my magical day thanks to Abby.

very step of the way over phone calls, zoom, and emails since this was during the pandemic. She is so organized, efficient, and knowledgeable about every step of the way, advising you as you go along on options that stay within your budget. When it came to the design of the event itself, she completely helped bring my vision to life with the right furniture rentals & florist. The actual day of the event, I don't know what I would have done without her. From little things like making sure the bridal suite had champagne flutes, to coordinating with the venue, to helping me clean off raspberry jam that spilled on my dress during cocktail hour, I could not have had a more perfect day thanks to Abby & her team. I had no idea what problems may have arisen that day because she just made it so perfect. I can't thank Blue Orchid Events enough, and recommend them more highly.

wedding day we had without her. Our venue was a “blank slate” venue that required finding and bringing in vendors for every part of our wedding. Abby had great recommendations for everything and was so helpful in managing all of the vendor communications leading up to the event and managing the set up and timeline the day of. I can truly say that I had a stress free wedding planning experience all thanks to Abby. She kept me on track with planning, and it was so nice knowing I didn’t have to worry about any of the details on our wedding day because Abby and her team had them all covered. I cannot recommend Blue Orchid Events enough!

changes that had to occur, my family and I don't know what we would have done without their help and instant solutions for anything that came up. Something is always bound to pop up and surprise you the day of the wedding but with Abby and Aubrey there everything turns out better than expected. :)

edding of your dreams. I met Abby at the Ft. Lauderdale Wedding Expo just a month after getting engaged. I was in search for a full wedding planning service because I was overwhelmed & had no idea where to start. From my very 1st interaction with Abby, she was extremely professional & confident. She immediately put my worries to rest & once we hired her company, she got to work right away on creating an organized timeline on what we needed to get done in the 9 months leading up to our wedding. What I loved was that she treated the whole process as a true collaboration, giving us ideas & vendors that would fit into our vision & budget, but still allowing us to ultimately make all of the final decisions. She attended every vendor meeting with us, & was available anytime we needed her. She & her team designed the most beautiful environments for our ceremony, cocktail hour & reception, better than I could have ever imagined! She truly turned our dream wedding into a reality, and we will forever be grateful! Our family & friends were blown away by the incredible atmosphere they created for our entire wedding day. If you’re looking for an event planner that is professional, attentive, patient, trustworthy, passionate about her craft, & who truly has her clients’ best interest at heart, Abby/ Blue Orchid Events & Design is by far your BEST choice!!

al wedding date in the Spring, we made the decision to postpone another 8 months. This was a difficult decision and Abby, although not technically contracted to provide any assistance quite yet, made a point to be available and helpful as we navigated a truly unprecedented process that was at times confusing and discouraging, never mind the emotional stress of it all. Her industry knowledge was really useful guidance. She always went above and beyond. As the pandemic dragged on, so did the constant pivots and changes we had to make to our wedding plans. We ultimately downsized our wedding from 230 guests to 30 taking multiple precautions around testing, etc. The planning seemed to never end, and Abby was agile and on top of it. We had a series of obstacles to overcome from our venue staff, guest count, changes to the itinerary and throughout it all Abby was by our side and encouraging. Her professionalism is unmatched and her kindness and patience is a gift. Most of all we enjoyed getting to know her and having her with us when our wedding finally arrived was amazing. She was a calming force and totally in charge. As cliche as it was, it was simply the best day of our lives. We couldn't have imagined our day any other way, even though it was not what we had originally planned. We have Abby and Aubrey to thank for that. Everything was perfect and so much fun. Thank you Abby and Aubrey!!

e it so stress free and easy for me and for that I am so thankful! Day of I had the pleasure of working with Aubrey and Jen and I think my husband and I can both agree it was more than we envisioned with the hard work that Aubrey and Jen put in. Aubrey continued to kill it and went so above and beyond for us from start to finish. She truly rolled with every punch. I had numerous family AND vendors come up to me during the wedding to tell me just how awesome she was and what a pleasure she was to work with. By hiring Blue Orchid Events, I got to feel stress free leading up to my wedding and onto the day of. I was only nervous the day of for the fact of normal wedding jitters and not because of any wedding issues. I really could keep going on just how fantastic they are!! We had a great experience!! If your wondering if you need to hire Blue Orchid Events the answer is...YES!

ear in advance. She was always so involved and attentive to every detail and super accessible. My wedding theme and colors ended up changing a few months before the wedding, Abby totally re-adjusted to make sure my vision and what I was imagining for the big day came to play without any issues. I went through lots of ups and downs in the planning process, especially due to COVID and several new restrictions but Abby was always reassuring and ready to pivot as needed. My wedding day turned out absolutely perfect, Abby and her assistant Ryanne arrived early to help set up and really made sure everything was exceptional. They were both so caring and excited for me on such a special day, I’m forever thankful to have had them there. Ryanne even helped make sure that my Zoom call with family in Brazil worked out perfectly too. Abby, thank you so so much for helping to make my vision come together and for exceeding my expectations!! You’re the best ❤️

e best support helping us to plan a wedding during this crazy year, 2020 ! We could not have pulled this off without all your help with logistics, contracts, meetings in person and on Zoom. You were so organized, loving and kind. I just can't thank you enough!

d Events for their Month-Of-Coordination package and they are so worth it! I honestly thought that all of the details had been taken care of but Aubrey thought of the smallest little details that I didn’t even realize needed to be taken care of. They were always there to answer my emails & phone calls with my millions of questions and always gave the best advice. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is stressful enough, but when our venue breached our contract a month before the wedding, BOE did not hesitate to help us start over. They helped re-plan the wedding & make it even better. They assisted in coordinating with our vendors & making our wedding vision come to life. But that's not all! I can't even describe all the things they did that went above & beyond for us. Aubrey talked me off the ledge a few times when I was a panicking bride due to the changes & pandemic stress. They are so organized & had everything PERFECTLY set up on our wedding day. As a torrential downpour began 5 minutes before the ceremony start time, they literally ran in the rain to reset the ceremony site. I cannot imagine how my wedding would have gone without them. As you know, the bride & groom are very busy on their wedding day & having the extra set of hands & the unmeasurable professionalism and experience of Aubrey & Abby took all my stress away. They stayed with us the entire night, kept things on track, & assisted if we needed ANYTHING. Aubrey & Abby must have re-bustled my dress like 5 times due to all the dancing. Not only were they excellent wedding planners, but they are so nice! They genuinely advised us and gave suggestions as if it was their own wedding. Do not hesitate to book them for your wedding! Believe me you NEED them! Even if you feel you have everything handled, having them there the day of to pull off all the finishing touches to make your day perfect is worth it! They are not just another wedding vendor; they will become your FRIENDS! I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done that made our wedding absolutely perfect!
