Blue Root Entertainment

ld definitely hire him again… let us know if you do work holiday parties too! lol

em. We were getting close to the big day and were a little panicked. I swear, speaking to Cleveland was like a great therapy session :). He spoke to me initially for a while and was so calm and reassuring. Then Tree, one of the DJs, reached out to my son and daughter-in-law and put their mind at ease as well. They had very specific requests and tastes, but specifically - no cheese and everyone dancing. Tree was seriously a godsend. The dance floor was PACKED all night. The way he transitioned the music was phenomenal. We've been to some weddings where the DJs turn the event into their 'thing' and my son and daughter-in-law didn't want that. Tree was PERFECT. Just the right amount of announcing when needed, and then MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC. Bottom line, they really listened to my son and daughter-in-law, and honestly are largely responsible for making the event a big success. THANKS BLUE ROOT!!!!

g, you should absolutely go with Blue Root! Blue Root should be viewed as the gold standard for wedding DJs! After shopping around a little, we eventually found Blue Root, which was reasonably priced and seemed to be a good candidate for being our DJ. During our initial call with Cleveland, he informed us that he had booked another wedding on the date of our wedding, and that our DJ would be his associate, Tree. He spoke highly of Tree, so we decided to move forward with hiring Blue Root. We also asked Cleveland if we could have a Sax player accompany the DJ, which, he said he would arrange. Leading up to the wedding, Cleveland checked in with us frequently. We also had calls with both Tree and Cleveland, who were both eager to get to know us and gain an understanding of the vision for our wedding. It was clear from the start that both Cleveland and Tree cared deeply about their clients, and that they were very interested in our wedding being a success. They were also positive, energetic and gave off great vibes. They sent over a thorough but easy to fill-out form so that they had an understanding of the run of show for the ceremony and reception and knew which songs to play at various parts. On the day of the wedding Tree showed up several hours before the ceremony to check in with us and set up the sound systems (they provided sound coverage for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). The sound for the ceremony and music for the cocktail hour was seamless. During the reception, Tree did an excellent job at coordinating the introductions and ensuring that the first dance and speeches went smoothly. And then, after dinner, Tree got the party started and it didn’t stop. Between the excellent music selection (which incorporated our preferred songs) and the energy of the sax player, we and many of our guests were dancing all night. Tree did a great job of mixing up genres to accommodate all of our guests. We had never been to a wedding where that many people stayed on the dance floor for that long. If you’re looking for your wedding to be the best wedding you’ve ever been to, choose Blue Root as your DJ (and we’d recommend hiring a sax player too, if you can) and it will go a long way for you to achieve that!

g the best songs! Highly recommend!

and Cleveland supported us throughout the process, John brought the energy, and our guests can't stop talking about how much fun they had on the dance floor!

t in the way he flawlessly executed the ceremony music, in the way he coordinated the mics both during the ceremony and reception, and in the way he kept the dance floor alive all night long! We’ve been hearing from our guests all weekend that they thought our wedding was a blast, and we are confident that has a lot to do with Cleveland and his talent! Cleveland cares deeply about his client and it shows in his work and when you speak with him. From the moment Katie and I spoke to Cleveland he would remember our story of how we met and every past conversation we had. He truly went above and beyond for us. Katie and I highly recommend Cleveland for anyone's future wedding and/or other events. You will not regret picking Cleveland or this company!

when I talked to Cleveland on the phone, who was so transparent about pricing and inclusions that I knew this would be a vendor who completely eliminated the stress of the day. Cleveland made it clear their team had the expertise to equip our venue with sound and light despite our venue's relatively numerous locations for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Howard was our day of DJ and our friends are still talking about what an awesome job he did. He kept the party flowing and had a natural sense of how to get people back on the dance floor. Cleveland and Howard are both complete professionals and I would use them again in a heartbeat. I recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ for any occasion!

were our favorites. Everyone was dancing and having an amazing time.

for the ceremony if needed.

and stress free. On the day of our wedding, everything went off without a hitch thanks to his professionalism and attention to detail. Our guests absolutely loved his energy as an MC and the music he played throughout the night. We gave Cleveland some song recommendations, but also trusted him with the freedom to read the room and set the vibe. He nailed it! The dance floor was packed all night, and we’re still getting compliments about how great the music and flow of the evening were. If you’re looking for a talented, reliable, and experienced DJ who knows how to keep the party going, Blue Root Entertainment is the way to go!

r specific music requests and mixed everything flawlessly. His equipment set up & functioning was on point. As an emcee, he didn’t miss a beat. In all our meetings and e-mail exchanges leading up to the day, he was so incredibly professional. He took a genuine interest in our story and preferred vibe for our wedding. It was truly a pleasure to have him on our team of wedding vendors. We will absolutely be recommending him to our next friends/family to get engaged!

mend them for weddings or any event you are hosting. The dj was the most raved about thing during the wedding. Prior to the wedding they were great with communication and planning

y a breeze! Blue Root Entertainment would absolutely be a recommendation of mine to any bride looking for a DJ and Photo Booth!! Thank you Cleveland and the Blue Root team for making our day perfect!!!

re so thankful for the time Cleveland spent meeting with us and answering all of our questions along the way. We even had a request for him to help us shorten the length of our first dance song, and he did it in next to no time at all and it came out perfectly! He worked with us to allow us to put together our own playlist and kept the music at a reasonable volume throughout the night. We are so happy with how everything turned out!

sneak in a Rick Roll during the ceremony and he nailed it.) One of our favorite moments of the night was when he helped turn the party into an all out rager, thanks to a well-timed use of Darude's Sandstorm, glow sticks and bubble guns. Our guests are still calling us to rave about the playlist, and the dance floor stayed packed all night. If you want a DJ who will make your wedding unforgettable, Cleveland and Blue Root are it!

e services and options available and ensured we got what we wanted. We provided him with a playlist of some of the songs we wanted to hear, and he mixed in some wedding classics we would not have though of to provide an incredible soundtrack for the night. We had multiple guests give us rave reviews about Cleveland, and we will certainly reach out again the next time we need a DJ!

slikes. He made everything simple from streamlining the event contract and payments, to speaking with us the week before our wedding to check that all details were correct. Cleveland showed up early the day of, was set up and ready for us, and had our guests dancing the entire time. He read the room, playing what worked well with our audience. He was a wonderful emcee and kept our reception timeline on track. We wholeheartedly recommend Cleveland as your wedding DJ. Our guests are still talking about the music at our reception!

d all of the songs we wanted, and was so thoughtful about the order of the music played to get and keep everyone on the dance floor. Would absolutely recommend Blue Root Entertainment for your wedding.

event to the next level of fun!

ever thank him enough for stepping up the way he did and going above and beyond for my family. His talent is undeniable, and his character is what we all should strive for. Thank you so much Tree. Colleen

ould! He is professional, extremely fun, and clearly very passionate about his work which he brings with him to the wedding day! My now-husband didn’t have many opinions on the wedding planning process; however, he was rather picky about how the music needed to be for the reception. We were already all over the place with the genres of music we were picking from, but my husband was very vocal about not wanting any of the classic wedding dance songs. Cleveland understood the assignment! He nailed our reception music. Every song fit our vibe and our requests, and we even got our fun end-of-night song to boogie too! Cleveland got everyone out on the dance floor, kept the reception moving, and most of all, had fun with our guests! Cleveland/Blueroot Entertainment is your guy if you’re looking for an energetic, kindhearted, and professional DJ/Entertainer for your wedding! He is an absolute joy to work with 😊

moothly. He also provided mics for both the ceremony and reception. He played the music we requested for the procession, and his selection for the cocktail hour blended perfectly into the background, setting a great mood. He was a great DJ who helped make our special day unforgettable and kept the energy high throughout the reception!

the end of our wedding day. His communication was top-notch—he was always quick to respond and kept us in the loop throughout the entire process. The online portal was a game-changer, allowing us to easily organize our music selections for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. We loved that we could customize everything, including our must-play and do-not-play lists, ensuring the day flowed perfectly. Cleveland truly has a gift for reading the room and played the perfect songs to match the vibe, keeping us on the dance floor all night long—just the way we envisioned our wedding. If we could give him 10 stars, we absolutely would! Thank you again so much Cleveland!!!

dance floor packed all night long. We couldn't be happier with the service and highly recommend Blue Root for any event!

helpful. He gave us great recommendations, and was extremely accommodating, even when we made several last minute changes the week of the wedding. He knew how to keep the crowd pumped up and engaged, the dance floor was packed the entire night. We highly recommend Cleveland to anyone looking to hire a DJ for their next event!

to entertainment. My husband and I selected our wedding venue in Philadelphia, PA, about two hours away from our home in New York. We had no idea where to start with regard to selecting vendors for our wedding and looked to our venue for recommendations. The venue recommended Blue Root Entertainment and, boy, was it a great recommendation. After our initial phone call with Cleveland, we were sold. His professionalism, kindness, and all-around great personality made it incredibly easy to work with him. He was even able to help us navigate roadblocks that we encountered in selecting particular songs for our big day. The entertainment portion of our wedding went flawlessly. From the ceremony to the reception, Cleveland did not miss a beat. Everyone loved the music played and danced the night away once the dance floor opened up. Cleveland not only incorporated our playlist into the evening’s music, but he also was spot on in selecting music that was not recommended by us to play. Several times throughout the evening, my husband and I would stop when hearing a random songs Cleveland played and wonder how he knew to play a particular song because it had great significance to us and/or our families. The only downside to all of this is that we have no other events to hire Cleveland and Blue Root Entertainment for. It was an absolute pleasure working with Cleveland and we really hope that one day we will cross paths with him or his team and be able to work with them again.

t flawlessly. Everyone was on the dance floor the entire night. He read the room perfectly to keep the party going and made sure to play a variety of music so all of our guests enjoyed the night from start to finish. I cannot recommend Cleveland enough!

d as a stressful DJ search ended with a night full of dancing! Some things that stood out to us were: - How organized and attentive he was. He scheduled multiple calls with us in order to understand our vibe and make sure that all the music was perfect for our wedding day. - He gave us tips and tricks of things to expect on our wedding day. - He is proficient in a ton of different genres which is helpful when you're having a wedding with two very different families. During our prep calls, he gave us a heads up on how he would navigate different music tastes. - He was one of the only DJs that had long mixes on Soundcloud so you could hear his work. Other DJs would show us short grainy videos they took from the DJ booth as "work samples". The icing on the cake was that he provided us with any videos and pictures he took during the day. He was capturing some promo material and provided it to us which was extremely kind. If you're looking for a DJ, Cleveland is your guy.

nitely recommend!

check-ins, to the final walkthrough phone call, Cleveland was professional , engaged and made us feel completely secure in the knowledge our event would be a blast for all those involved. At the actual ceremony and reception, Cleveland kept things moving along, entertained our guests, was friendly and engaging and just gave the entire evening the mood we asked for. Without reservation, I highly recommend Blue Root!

floor all night.

he ‘must plays’ and ‘do not plays.’ He kept everyone on the dance floor all night! He also provided uplighting for us. I would definitely recommend him for your wedding or any event.

e danced the whole night! We have gotten so many compliments about Cleveland from our guests! He is very professional and helped make our day run smoothly! He is very organized and an all around amazing person to work with! We are so glad we used him for our wedding!

s organized and fun, and Cleveland was so charismatic and kind! Really knew how to read the room and our group. I was on the dance floor the entire night!! Highly recommend.

ry last detail was thought of (by him and communicated to me)! I still have friends and family commenting on how great Cleveland was throughout the entirety of our wedding day. He was there early to set up and had music playing while our guests took their seats for the ceremony and immediately jumped into party mode when it was time for our reception! We cannot say enough good things about working with Cleveland!! We highly recommend him for any event you may be planning.
