Hi this is Carlos & Paige, owners of Blue Spot Photography, we are a husband and wife Photo and Video team. We have been doin g this for over 10 years and we love it! The wedding day is a rollercoaster of emotions. We believe that a wedding is a celebration of love with a vision of a prosperous future so there is a lot to celebrate and have fun. We are very experienced and have captured hundreds of weddings. Making our clients feel comfortable in front of the camera and giving a professional and friendly service is our top priority. away from our guests for long to take pictures (I didn't even get sick of smiling!). Yet, she got the shots perfectly. We were blown away by the quality (and sheer quantity!) of the images.
Kate was flexible with the location (I added a shooting location the week of our wedding) and she worked with what we had -- and really had an eye for what would work. My bridal party really liked her style as well ... she wasn't pushy but laid back and let them have fun.
She captured the ceremony perfectly. I actually had guests comment that she was so unobtrusive during the ceremony that they didn't even notice her.
The photos turned out better than we could have imagined ... and allow us to relive our special day over and over again.
I communicated with Carlos over email mostly and he was quick to respond and on top of things. The admin process was very straightforward.

light) one of your wedding guests showed up with her camera and basically took over the direction of the photo session, even when me and my 2nd shooter tried to give you directions on what we needed but she kept rushing you guys to do something different contradicting us. It was very difficult to work while she kept interfering.
As for the coverage, we left after fulfilling our full schedule till the very end of the agreed coverage. We would have loved to stay longer if requested, we always do when clients request us extra time.

Carlos and his assistant were professional and efficient on our wedding day. I was late to my own wedding, and instead of sitting around, he took advantage of the delay and photographed all the men in the family, setup, and arriving guests. My husband and I have very large families and they all wanted to be in the post ceremony family photos. Carlos was so patient and made it work. We also had about an hour of his time left when the reception ended, and we drove to another site to have photos of just my husband and me. The final photos were sent to us three weeks after our wedding day, and we also received a CD in the mail promptly after that. He really worked some magic and we are so happy with our photos. aphers to be there for 8 hours and he sent the second one home immediately after the ceremony. We did not get any pictures from our cocktail hour nor did we get many pictures from our reception. Next, our wedding video was sub par. He provided us with an edited version of our day that did not include many of the special events of the wedding which included the father daughter dance, mother son dance, cocktail hour. When we requested to see the raw unedited video. We did not receive it in the mail as promised. He sent a second edited video. When at last we did receive the raw footage, it totaled one hour of our 8 hour special day. Most of the video was of my husband getting married. The ceremony had no sound! Many important parts were out of focus. After watching the video I completely fell into tears! I couldn't believe that I was unable to see the most special and important day of my life. It was as if he did not understand the importance of shooting certain events during the wedding. When I emailed him about my sadness and disappointment, he was unwilling to work something out. He did not take responsibility for what had occurred. I filed suit against this vendor and won. I would not recommend this vendor at all due to not following the contract, not understanding what is important during a wedding, and an unwillingness to take responsibility for his mistakes.

The photography part, I charged my client $200 for a 2nd photographer service, I usually require them for 4 hours only and then let them go. I took the formal...
pictures of the couple while the cocktail time was happening not being able to cover the cocktail part. My client disagree with the 2nd shooter leaving after 4 hours, I tried to negotiate a compensation for a full $200 refund even when the 2nd shooter covered the event for 4 hours.
The video part, Blue Spot Photography doesn’t provide videography services; we offer them subcontracting an external company.
The videographer covered the wedding for 8 hours and delivered the edited video, a RAW video footage was not offered in our contract.
Months later I received a letter demanding $2,000 or the threat of legal action? Our contract was fulfilled, products and services were provided. The lead photographer (me) covered the event for 8 hours, the 2nd photographer serviced 4 hours, the videographer covered 8 hours, online galleries were provided, photo discs were provided, edited wedding video disc was provided. A demand for $2,000 didn’t make sense to me, I tried unsuccessfully to negotiate a reasonable amount, she was not open for negotiations and filed suit for $3,350 (more than what she paid.)
On the court day we had mediation before trial, she was not willing to accept anything below $3,000 so we went to trial.
During trial I gave my side and evidence to the judge, I admitted that the only thing that could have been misunderstood in the contract was the part of the 2nd shooter time which I offer a full refund of $200 months before to avoid escalating this. My client gave her side and her evidence, she told the judge “I was expecting an “8 hour long video”, the judge ask her a couple of times if she was really expecting an 8 hour long video, that nobody expects that…
In the end, the judge said he could hardly see a breach of contract, and gave a judgment based on evidence and common sense where my client “technically” won, I say “technically” because the total amount settled was $350 ($150 to cover court fees and $200 I assume for the 2nd photographer part.)
I believe there was no reason to escalate this mater to a courthouse, when I originally had the good intention to negotiate and offered the same compensation the judge settled.
