I chose Steph to help me plan my wedding after speaking to about 10 planners on the phone … I loved that she was easy to talk to and we clicked right away. From that point on, Steph went above and beyond all expectations I had for a wedding planner. She helped me redesign my wedding just a few months before the big day. Her eye for design helped us plan a wedding that was visually beyond my wildest dreams. Her thoughtfulness and carefulness ensured that we had tons of special moments throughout the wedding day. Blue Thistle planned the absolute most stunning wedding I’ve ever attended. It was original and beautiful and all of the little details were so thoughtful.

Steph and her team gave us an absolute dream wedding. Everything was FLAWLESS. We had a large destination wedding right as covid peaked and Steph could not have made things any easier. From coordinating emailing 140 guest QR code’s, detailed update guest emails, and even overcoming shipping and supply issues Steph came through on every aspect. The wedding week was smooth and stunning- check out the photos. She worked with the florist to give us EXACTLY what we dreamt of, hand crafted tassels for menus, even hand designed a custom floor wrap for us very last minute when we decided to add it in! Steph and her team made sure every single thing was taken care of- from transporting bridesmaids to ordering fruit platters to snack on to helping venmo vendors the night of the wedding. Steph is an expert at staying on budget and doesn’t pressure you into anything- she has many vendor contacts that saved us a lot of money! She is also willing to put in work to save on outsourcing! Overall she is very solutions driven and despite the MANY challenges we faced during covid (venue researching and changes, guest testing, travel protocols) she had the most positive attitude and ALWAYS had a lovely solution. She kept us sane for a full year of planning, and smoothly executed a massive island destination wedding. Blue thistle productions is simply incredible and very, very necessary for your event!

Planning a wedding in ideal times can be a complicated undertaking, and Covid brought an entire new set of challenges. Stephanie helped us plan and replan our special weekend many, many times. With each new Covid roadblock with venues and vendors she easily pivoted and kept such a positive attitude. There are so many vital things she brings to the table, but her upbeat and calm demeanor were invaluable to my finance and I. I called her countless times over the past year in a crisis and ended the call more excited and optimistic than ever! From the beginning Stephanie has handled the details I did not want to think about, and the security from knowing everything would be taken care of was priceless. We changed our wedding plans so many times and yet our budget was always forefront for Steph- no she never put us in a position where we felt as though we needed to go above budget or spend more than we were comfortable. Instead, she brought the MOST unique ideas on both design and how to do it on our budget. She took so, so many steps to keep us on track and did a lot of the work herself with no complaints, whether it was designing the invites from scratch, hand writing and building escort displays, driving on her own to see venues, creating gorgeous menus with unique design elements, or even doing the research to find those little extra things that make the wedding feel like us at a great price. She also helped leverage her contacts to help save cost on everything from linens to lighting, and she knows how to negotiate. Overall I am certain we saved way more than the cost of hiring blue thistle! Our wedding is in January and I can’t wait to see all of her design ideas come to life! We chose to work with Stephanie because of her eye for design and her obvious passion for making events magical. Every step of the process reinforced that choice. Stephanie is kind, patient, driven, and a pleasure to work with. She is dedicated to making the event everything you want it to be. Stephanie made us a comprehensive Pinterest board that we collaborated on, adding and favoriting stylistic details that we liked. With this as a starting point, she helped us find vendors that perfectly fit our vision and budget. Stephanie carefully compared multiple options for each vendor, took the lead on all communications, and looped us in for calls and meetings as needed, while taking care of all the less-fun logistics without us. Just as we were finalizing the last of our contracts, COVID upended our plans. Stephanie didn’t blink an eye and methodically went about re-planning every detail over the course of the ensuing months. Then, when one of our key vendors ran into an unexpected conflict, she did it all again for yet another date. Despite the uncertainty of that period, Stephanie remained optimistic and solutions-oriented throughout. She avoided conflicts, leveraged her strong relationships, and found great outcomes for everyone involved. Blue Thistle removed the stress from what could have been a really daunting setback, turning it into an opportunity to make our event even more special. We often reflect on how grateful we are that Stephanie and her team were willing to go so far above and beyond, sticking with us for not one but three weddings over the course of two years! Blue Thistle did an extraordinary job taking our event from conception to reality. We do not live in Miami so it was difficult for us to meet with our vendors leading up to the wedding. Stephanie went in person to our caterer multiple times to ensure that the linens and plates perfectly fit with the design we were looking for. She set up sample place settings while there and sent us photos/videos so that we could be sure we would get exactly what we wanted. The final look of the wedding was beyond anything we could have hoped for. Every detail was thought out and perfectly executed. There were many personalized touches that pulled the entire event together that we would have never thought of on our own. One thing in particular that I want to mention is our escort cards. Stephanie made a whole hanging art work with people’s names on it that was absolutely gorgeous and fit perfectly with our décor. It was such a stunning piece. She went the extra mile to make our wedding personal and gorgeous. On the day of the wedding, Stephanie ensured that everything was as low stress as possible. In the weeks leading up to the event we ironed out all potential kinks and had back up plans for our back up plans. I was so relaxed on the day because I knew that even if things went wrong there was an equally good fallback option. Everything was coordinated seamlessly and because of the Blue Thistle Team we got to enjoy our entire wedding day without worrying about anything other than being in the moment. We cannot say enough good things about this company. The best gift you can give yourself when planning a wedding is to work with someone who will ensure that your wedding day is everything you want it to be and helping you through the inevitable stresses.
