Working with Alice and her team was so incredible. We have been buying flowers from her farm for over five years now so it was really special to have her as a part of our special day. She blew us away with how incredible the design and flowers looked. Alice and her team put in a ton of hard work on a very hot day to do several hanging installations that were incredible. It was so lovely to just give her some pictures and let her take over with such wonderful creative vision after that. We are forever grateful to her for creating such a lovely day.
I could not have asked for better. All of our flowers were grown with love on their farm. Alice and her team worked so hard to use our vision in the floral design, and the result exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend.
Bluebird Meadows was wonderful to work with and they provided the most beautiful flowers for our wedding! Their communication is outstanding and they did everything possible to make sure that what they provided matched our vision and needs. I really can't say enough positive things about working with Bluebird for our wedding!!
My husband and I got married in April 2018 in Cary, NC. We came across Bluebird Meadows and fell in love with the idea of locally grown flowers and supporting local businesses. Our flowers were one of the main decorations at our venue (we kept everything fairly simple) so it was important to have the flowers stand out and be colorful. Bluebird Meadows did not disappoint! Their flowers are absolutely beautiful (check out their Instagram)! Alice and her team know how to create one of a kind arrangements that fit your personality and venue. We loved that we didn’t need to have a clear cut picture of our arrangements – we let Bluebird Meadows create something for us with flowers that were in season. They are on the pricier side but honestly totally worth it! The only reason we gave Bluebird Meadows a 4 star rating is because it was sometimes hard to communicate with them – it took them awhile to respond to emails and finalize plans for our wedding day. The end result was amazing and worth being patient for their response. We highly recommend Bluebird Meadows for your wedding florist if you are looking for unique, locally grown, and one of a kind arrangements!
I could never say enough nice things about Alice, her husband Stuart, and the quality of their flowers. I knew I wanted to use a local farm for the floral arrangements at our wedding, and after checking out several at the Durham Farmer's Market, Bluebird Meadows was my choice and I could not be happier. Alice was so sweet and responsive during the whole process. During our initial meeting I gave her an idea of the "vibe" I wanted, as well as a color palette, and then trusted her to run with those ideas. On our wedding day I was truly blown away, as were others -- I lost count of how many compliments I received on the flowers and how beautiful they were. They were so perfect, better than anything I could've imagined. Per my wishes, she created and built a "wow" floral arch for our ceremony; my bridal bouquet and two bridesmaid bouquets were just right; and it was so convenient that she also provided all the candles. The flowers were really important to me and I don't think I'll ever forget how stunning they were.
Imagine you picked out colors for your wedding flowers - and someone planted seeds in those exact colors in local fields, then those same hands harvested the flowers that grew from those seeds and created a stunning array of flowers that perfectly matched the colors from your imagination!
I had a vision for my wedding flowers - corals and whites and pinks - ranunculuses, tulips, anemones, poppies, hyacinths - spring flowers bursting at the seams at every table. Alice's flowers at Bluebird Meadows always stuck out to me at the Durham Farmer's market, and I knew I had to use her for a wedding. We spoke about a year before the wedding about what colors and flowers I wanted, and she contacted me sometime over the summer to verify the colors because she was buying seeds for her spring flowers in my colors. She was wonderful to work with - always friendly and warm, with so many creative ideas, and came up with multiple options in different budget categories so that I could stick within my price range. She found votives that matched my color theme immaculately. The flowers, needless to say, were my favorite part of the wedding (other than marrying my husband!). Each individual bloom was more stunning than the last - daffodils with coral parts, anemones and poppies and sweet smelling hyacinths and tulips and pale coral bearded irises and ranunculuses in varying colors that matched the color theme perfectly - she even wired blueberry blossoms to bobby pins for my hair. My bouquet was breathtaking, and all the guests and photographers kept commenting on the beauty of the flowers throughout the evening. I am a firm believer in supporting local vendors, but when those vendors have a special gift for their craft as Alice from Bluebird Meadows does it makes it easy to do so.
