We chose Bluewater Kings Band for our wedding in Louisville, KY, and they were truly spectacular. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had on the dance floor. They clearly kept in mind what we had asked for and also kept the party alive with songs that everyone could dance to. The range they had was just incredible. We couldn't have chosen better!

The blue water kings were everything we hoped for in a band for our wedding! We wanted a band that played upbeat music that made people want to stay on the dance floor and have fun and that’s exactly what they did! They were very easy to work with and available for calls to discuss our plans for the day! They even went above and went along with my idea to have the saxophone player circle through cocktail hour to lead guests in to the reception space! The blue water kings had great energy and had people on the dance floor who usually just stay in their seats at weddings! They took our reception to the next level and we would 100% book them again! I have had at least 10 people ask me who our band was because they want to book them for their wedding because of how great they were!

From the planning stages through the end of our wedding night, the Bluewater Kings Band were absolutely fantastic. Charice was a wonderful point of contact, responsive, helpful, and attentive to every request. On the wedding day, it truly felt like a personalized experience tailored to our music preferences and strict timeline of events. The band was the highlight of the night, exceptionally talented and unforgettable.

The band skill level and energy was great, especially for the price but there were a few things that made the experience not the best.
We had requested special instructions for our first dance, and reminded the lead band point of contact the day of the wedding, which he acknowledged but they were not followed. We also requested a few songs day of that they did not play.
We were told many times how often the band played at our venue, but in a way that made it seem like they weren’t very excited to be there.
Overall, for the price and sound quality they are great but for the factors above, it wasn’t perfect.

ar you enjoyed the band’s sound and energy, we’re genuinely sorry to learn there were aspects of your experience that didn’t meet expectations.
We do our best to honor special requests but, as a live band, we’re not always able to accommodate additions made on the day of the event. To ensure a seamless performance, we prioritize the songs and preferences confirmed and rehearsed in advance. This is also outlined in our policies. We reviewed your planning portal submissions and email correspondence, and the only special instructions we found for the first dance were to play the song live for "about 2 min". While the band did cut the song early, I realize it can feel much longer when you're dancing in front of a crowd. Shortening special dances is part of our standard practice and recommendations for this very reason. If something else was missed or miscommunicated on our end, I sincerely apologize as we know how important it is for that moment to play out exactly as envisioned. We also noted your special instructions for the final song of the night, to start slow and speed up towards the end, which the band also followed.
We want to sincerely apologize if any comments about our familiarity with the venue came across as disinterest. Our intention is always to reassure with our experience at the venue, never to diminish the importance of your day. Every event is unique, and we regret if that sentiment didn’t come through in our communication. I can assure you our musicians were thrilled to play for you and your guests and they really enjoyed the evening! The crowd certainly seemed to enjoy themselves, which is always our goal!

The days leading up to our event were smooth and we had no worries in the slightest. Jon was extremely helpful and took care of us the whole way. We had an absolutely perfect wedding day. The weather was beautiful, the vendors were amazing, but the band was the highlight of the evening. Their talent and stage presence was immense! I would use more profanity to drive home just how absolutely incredible they were, but I fear my review wouldn't be posted. They blew the roof off our reception and sure had fun doing it. Five stars is not enough.

Bluewater Kings Band was the best choice for my daughter's wedding. They are so incredibly talented!! Charice answered all of the million questions I had from initial contact to the event date. They give you an event detail page which I loved! I was able to list music we wanted played as well as music we wanted to avoid, the timeline of the reception, etc. Charice emceed our reception and did a great job! The band was extremely professional as well as fun. Our reception was lively all evening long. Bluewater Kings Band was worth every penny!! You will not go wrong booking this band for your event!! I wish I could give them more then 5 stars!

First off, the overall skillset and abilities of the band were excellent. If you are ok with little planning and aren't concerned with songs played, this band is for you. They told us they are flexible and do what their clients want and we could pick our songs to be played but that did not happen.
They have a list of songs they can play and they provide said list and suggested we pick songs from that. They also said we could put some songs on the list they did not have on their list and they would play as many as they could. We provided a list of 35-40 songs to play and they played about a third of them. There were numerous songs they had on their approved list they said they play and we asked to have played but they played other songs instead. It was highly unprofessional to not be more transparent to begin with.
They were very difficult to work with in the planning phase. I regularly had to ask questions about space and other constraints only to be met with the Charice telling me they are flexible. It made planning more difficult. Further, during the planning phase they had a fairly laid back approach and I had to reach out to them to try and finalize details. On the day of they arrived later than other vendors and didn't seem to check with other vendors to make sure all on the same page as they fumbled over announcements of wedding party and bride/groom and played the wrong songs there as well as stumbled through announcements of best man/matron of honor speeches. While overall they have significant musical skill, they missed the mark when it comes to professionalism and conducting business. I would take this into consideration when choosing them.

Wow! Just wow! From the cellist and keyboard for the ceremony, to the sax and guitarist for the cocktail hour, to the INCREDIBLE 7-piece band at the reception, this Cincinnati band exceeded all our (high) expectations. First a special shout out to Jon for all his patience and organizational skills from booking to our final meeting a year later. He was patient with all my questions, efficient with the logistics and gracious in making changes along the way. The musicianship of the band members was palpable and we felt so lucky to have this live group at our daughter’s wedding – and that is saying a lot from a family with several talented musicians all of whom were equally blown away. Nick handled the MC role perfectly, never over the top or being the focus, but ALWAYS on point and on time shepherding us through the evening. The band as a whole really capitalized on the energy of our guests and it wasn’t long before everyone was on the dancefloor, which remained packed through the last song. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping our daughter and new son-in-law have the reception of their dreams!

Bluewater Kings band went above and beyond my expectations! We had attended a wedding years ago where they played and we knew we had to use them for ours, they were one of the first vendors we booked!
The planning process was so easy with Bluewater Kings and they were extremely communicative the months (and days) leading up our wedding. It was so convenient to be able to "build your own band". I was able to fulfill a dream of having a saxophonist at our wedding :]
The music was ELECTRIC the night of the wedding and I received so many compliments from our guests on how incredible the live band was. I would highly recommend Bluewater Kings to anyone in the Cincinanti area!

Bluewater Kings Band played our wedding a few weeks ago and they were fantastic. They sounded great, put on an entertaining show, and played nearly every song we'd requested. The dance floor went all night long, and guests kept coming up to us and saying, "The band is amazing!" At one point they got a conga line going with the horn players in the lead, which people LOVED.
We also got the string trio for our ceremony and they played "Hoppipolla" by Sigur Ros and "Let's Get Married," by Bleachers - two very different genres, and both sounded lovely. Not always easy to do!
Perhaps most impressive, though, was that the band fulfilled one of my lifelong goals - to play a song with the band at my wedding. They learned the song, hooked up and tuned my guitar, and accommodated me beautifully with zero rehearsal. All I had to do was get up there and play! It was unforgettable.
Our contact was Jon Lattier, and he was responsive, thorough, and professional. The band's portal is easy to use. They provide tons of options and combinations so you can get exactly what you want (e.g., male and female vocals, add guitars, add horns, MC service, photobooth, lighting services, etc.). We're so glad we went with BWK, and we definitely recommend them.

Wow, still in awe weeks later of our experience with Bluewater Kings Band! From the moment we talked about getting married, we knew we wanted a live band since we both love live music. Bluewater Kings made that dream come true and then some! They led an epic party and sounded hot the whole night. Everyone I spoke to raved about them! Would HIGHLY recommend!

If you want a great night of 'live' music, I would definitely recommend the Blue Water Kings band. They were professional, and every song was spot on. They played all the great dance music, and even if you don't dance, you would just enjoy listening to the great sounds. Live music, especially with professionals like the Blue Water Kings, set a different tone to a reception compared to a redundant, boring DJ.

The way the interacted with the crowd, played our favorites, and even made more mainstream funk songs unique to their own style of play--every. body. boogied. And we are all the better for it. Great musicians in great vocals. Do not hire a DJ. Hire this band. Way more authentic in 1000% better vibe.
Plus, these guys will play about any genre of music. And they have great judgment. If you don't have an idea of what tunes you would like.

Everyone involved with this band is amazing, very professional, incredibly easy to work with. We had the DJ for ceremony music, the 12 piece band for the reception and the DJ for late night music. They are all so talented and are very good at playing what you ask for and more importantly, not playing what you don’t want. Would highly recommend this band!

We couldn't have been happier with our choice to book Blue Water Kings for our wedding! We knew live music was such an important priority for us, but BWK certainly exceeded our expectations and then some! Clear, professional communication from the very start, and Jon was great to work with in the time leading up to the wedding. We had a 9 piece band, which was phenomenal and all of our guests commented on how amazing the band was and how much fun they had! Our guests didn't leave the dance floor all night - which is what we had hoped for! They even learned a few extra songs to play as special requests, which was so appreciated. Otherwise, they did an excellent job choosing music and catering to us as a couple and our guests!

The absolute best in the business and our favorite part of our big day! We still have friends talking about the music at our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception four months later. Jon worked with us every step of the way to make sure set lists fit our vibe perfectly and we could not have been happier with the sheer talent that showed up on our wedding day. Working with Bluewater Kings Band was an easy and enjoyable process. Jon and his team were professional and brought so much energy to our reception. They created a custom set list based on our likes/dislikes. The musicians/singers are wildly talented. Our pianist for the ceremony even learned a new song upon request for our processional. I can’t say enough good things about the company and have only heard raving reviews from our guests. Hire them! - & adding in the horn players is worth it and then some.

We booked the 10 piece band for our wedding in Sept and they exceeded all expectations I had. We had such a great experience with the coordinator leading up to our big day. He was highly responsive and a helpful resource as we worked through day- of details. For our wedding day, they ran all music and MC services smoothly. We had so much fun on the dance floor - the band brought the energy!! Was very impressed with the range of songs and highly talented musicians. We received so many compliments from our guests on the band’s high energy, ability to flow with the dance floor energy, and range / talent of musicians .

It was the best concert we have ever been to, and it was our wedding!!!
Jon, the band lead, was in constant communication with us leading up to the wedding and basically built a set list of songs specifically for us based off the type of music we wanted, we hand picked every song the band played!
All of our friends and family kept (and keep) complimenting the band, My sister said she loved how the members of the band felt like they were partying WITH us and loved how the bass played got out into the crown to jam out with us. it has been several weeks and I am still SO HAPPY we booked BWK band, by far the easiest and best choice of the wedding, besides saying 'I do' of course!!!

We had a BLAST with Bluewater Kings band at our wedding, and they played a major role in helping to make our big day feel so special! The 7 piece band at our 230 person wedding kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. From our grandparents to our friends to our families, our guests loved listening to them and dancing to them; so much so that even months after our special day, they are still commenting on how phenomenal they were! They MC’d for us, played great music during their breaks, and our guests thought the saxophone player was especially awesome/talented. Our ceremony music was also beautiful, and a perfect mix of traditional songs and modern songs.
In addition to amazing talent and energy on the day of, Bluewater Kings band was understanding and flexible with us when we made the tough decision to postpone our wedding back in 2020 because of covid. Jon was extremely responsive to any questions we had or whenever we wanted to confirm details. Our last call together two weeks before the wedding, left me feeling extremely confident about the logistics, details and music - they were one less thing I felt I needed to worry about because they had it covered! Bluewater Kings Band was one of our favorite vendors, and they helped make our “packed dance floor” wedding dreams come true! I would absolutely recommend them to anybody in the Cincinnati/Dayton area!

We had an outstanding experience with Bluewater Kings Band during the wedding-planning process and throughout my Daughter’s Wedding Day Celebration. Band Members performed the perfect mix of music from the start of the Chapel Ceremony - during Cocktail Hour – and throughout the Wedding Reception. We heard BWK at a wedding in Cincinnati several years ago and loved them, so I looked into them for my Cincinnati wedding as well. They were more affordable and flexible (various levels of packages) than most of the other bands I talked to, and the fact that they are a strong syndicate gave me major peace of mind in this COVID environment. Another thing I loved was that I could give them as much or as little instruction as I wanted, and knew they'd make it a great show. I gave a couple 'do not plays' but otherwise was open to anything, and they were totally fine, and honestly probably preferred, coming up with their own set list. Those were just the logistical reasons why I went with them, but they KILLED IT at our wedding. It wasn't even the same group of individuals that I had heard at my friend's wedding years back (I knew that would be the case), but they absolutely rocked the house and I got so many compliments. Probably the #1 thing my guests have talked about since our wedding day. I also had multiple people come up to me thinking they were another (way more expensive) local band. Can't say enough about them. PLUS they service so many other cities, so I am so confident that they would be amazing no matter where you're getting married. Like I said, I saw 2 different combinations of the group in the same city over the years, and both were amazing. 10/10 recommend!

The highlight of our wedding night!!!!! We hired the 12-piece band from Bluewater Kings Band and they did not disappoint. The vocals were incredible. The brass musicians were killer. The band's manager was incredibly organized, which was so appreciated as I was planning our wedding from across the country AND during a global pandemic. They kept the night safe, fun, and organized- not to mention we received so many compliments regarding how amazing the band was! Thank you Bluewater Kings Band!!

Top notch musicians came and played my wedding and blew all of us away with their talent. If you’re on the fence about who to book, just pick blue water kings. They made it easy to plan, gave us everything we asked for and then some, and I feel like we got way more than we paid for. Lots of guests asked me afterwards the name of the band so they could try and get them for their wedding too. They played the first dance songs that we requested and we are very pleased with BWK. They did very well in the reception venue that had a ton of natural reverb as well. The sound engineer was also top notch. 10/10 recommend.

We hired a 6 piece band for our wedding in Hocking Hills Ohio in September! We also added on a sound tech who came all day and coordinated all the sound for our ceremony as well. They were all so wonderful to work with and easy to get along with. Everyone was raving all night about how great they were. They kept the flow of the party moving wonderfully and even allowed some of us to come up and guest sing with them! And we loved their energy! The only complaint we would have is that they didn't play the list of songs we had requested, but this may have been because we didn't have wifi at our venue. We are thrilled with our choice in them and had so many compliments from our guests!

The absolute best band ever. As a bride, I think I only missed a few songs. I danced all night. We had the 10 piece band. Everyone commented on the band and wanted to know where I found them. This band was booked for my daughters wedding in June 2020. With the national pandemic we are forced to reschedule the wedding. After contacting this band to see if they could move the date we were told they were available but we would have to pay $500 just to change the date! I would rather lose our deposit (which we are) than give them more money to just move a date. Beware of this band before booking them!

The band was awesome!! The female vocalist blew everybody away. I could not stop dancing the entire night. And the process of booking and speaking with Jason was very easy. It was by far the best night of my life and I would book them a thousand times again!

We booked a ten person band with the Bluewater Kings for a large corporate gala and they were absolutely incredible! Their musical talent far exceeds their price. They are worth their weight in gold and then some. Their performance was high energy, polished and filled with all the songs the crowd loved. You can really tell they love what they do. They were so easy to book with and guided us through the booking, band selection process and filling in all the details they needed to perform flawlessly! We were so happy with the whole evening. We will certainly be working with them any chance we get!

The Bluewater Kings Band did such an incredible job at our wedding! Leading up to the event, Amy was so responsive and professional. She made it all so easy for us. At the wedding, we first had a strings trio perform at the ceremony and they did an amazing job. It was exactly how I had hoped it would sound! During the reception, the dance floor was not only packed, it was overflowing into the area by the tables. Their rendition of "Shout" was the best I have ever seen live -- they even got my husband involved when the lead singer came out onto the dance floor! If you are looking to dance the night away, this is the band you should pick!

The Bluewater Kings Band was absolutely fantastic for our wedding! My husband and I prioritized having a live band with lots of dancing at our wedding, we wanted to spend as much time at the reception on the dance floor. The Bluewater Kings blew us, and our guests away! They were EXTREMELY easy to work with, and exceeded our expectations. We purchased the 8 piece band with MC. Our day of coordinator cancelled last minute on us that day, the band MC went above and beyond to fill her gap. We could not have been more thankful for Bluewater Kings. Many of our guests asked for their card, or texted us the next day for their name. We highly recommend them for your wedding, our dance floor was filled up until the very last song!

We could not have asked for a better band and MC in the Blue Water Kings! Jason was so organized and extremely punctual in his email responses and was available for any questions throughout the planning process. Phil, Isis, Theo and the rest of the band were able to take our "likes" and "dislikes" list and accommodate all of our songs as well as read the crowd. Their ability to know what the crowd was responding to in order to keep the dance floor full was great! I had so many people coming up to me throughout the night saying how amazing the band was!

We opted for a big band for our wedding, and we could not have found a better group than the Bluewater Kings. They played all night, and kept everyone on the dance floor. Our biggest issue was we needed a bigger dance space! Molly and the whole team we’re invredible. I would recommend a band to any couple getting married because they are just so fun, but I would recommend the Bluewater Kings above the rest because they are just that good. Also, they were the most reasonably priced of the big bands in the area. Thank you Molly and the rest of the band! Our wedding was perfect thanks to you!

I can't speak highly enough of the Bluewater Kings Band. Our wedding reception wouldn't have been the same without them. Not only was their music top-notch, but they definitely brought the party. Within seconds of their first song, virtually every guest at the wedding was on the dance floor! I've never seen anything like it. People partied until the last song and are still asking me for more details on the band - they were the highlight of the reception!

BEST WEDDING BAND EVER! Bluewater Kings Band was hands down the best part of our wedding. We chose to have them play live music throughout our big day: a cellist and violinist played beautifully during the ceremony, a jazz trio kept things classy and convivial during the cocktail hour, and then the MC and band were totally rocking and on-point during our reception. They had everyone dancing and grooving till the last song! Some of the less mobile folks were entertained just watching the excellent live performance, and many people asked me for their info.
In the months leading up to the big day, Danielle was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. I shopped around for a band and this was the best value—worth every penny! Thank you, Bluewater Kings Band!

The absolute BEST band ever!! I can't begin to say how blown away and happy we were to have the Bluewater Kings Band at our wedding. Ryan was so amazing to work with. He quickly answered every question we had about songs, the timeline, and other logistics. We got so many raving compliments for all of our guests about the Bluewater Kings being one of the best wedding bands ever. Wish we could get married again just to have them perform one more time with all our friends and family. If you are looking for an awesome band, with great music, and the ability to customize band size, this is for you!!

Jessica and Johnny came to sing at our wedding at Notre Dame a month ago. They were absolutely wonderful. Johnny also did a great job as DJ! Our wedding was a bicultural event since I’m from Venezuela and my husband is from the US and they worked with us really well to have music for both sides. There were people dancing for almost the entire reception and we even extended it since the music and everything was so good. My dad found them because he really cared about having live music at my wedding and I’m really glad he found them. We would most definitely hire them again if we had another event.
