Bluewater Kings Band

Bluewater Kings Band played our wedding a few weeks ago and they were fantastic. They sounded great, put on an entertaining show, and played nearly every song we'd requested. The dance floor went all night long, and guests kept coming up to us and saying, "The band is amazing!" At one point they got a conga line going with the horn players in the lead, which people LOVED. We also got the string trio for our ceremony and they played "Hoppipolla" by Sigur Ros and "Let's Get Married," by Bleachers - two very different genres, and both sounded lovely. Not always easy to do! Perhaps most impressive, though, was that the band fulfilled one of my lifelong goals - to play a song with the band at my wedding. They learned the song, hooked up and tuned my guitar, and accommodated me beautifully with zero rehearsal. All I had to do was get up there and play! It was unforgettable. Our contact was Jon Lattier, and he was responsive, thorough, and professional. The band's portal is easy to use. They provide tons of options and combinations so you can get exactly what you want (e.g., male and female vocals, add guitars, add horns, MC service, photobooth, lighting services, etc.). We're so glad we went with BWK, and we definitely recommend them.

Wow, still in awe weeks later of our experience with Bluewater Kings Band! From the moment we talked about getting married, we knew we wanted a live band since we both love live music. Bluewater Kings made that dream come true and then some! They led an epic party and sounded hot the whole night. Everyone I spoke to raved about them! Would HIGHLY recommend!

If you want a great night of 'live' music, I would definitely recommend the Blue Water Kings band. They were professional, and every song was spot on. They played all the great dance music, and even if you don't dance, you would just enjoy listening to the great sounds. Live music, especially with professionals like the Blue Water Kings, set a different tone to a reception compared to a redundant, boring DJ.

Bluewater Kings Band went above and beyond for our reception. The way the interacted with the crowd, played our favorites, and even made more mainstream funk songs unique to their own style of play--every. body. boogied. And we are all the better for it. Great musicians in great vocals. Do not hire a DJ. Hire this band. Way more authentic in 1000% better vibe. Plus, these guys will play about any genre of music. And they have great judgment. If you don't have an idea of what tunes you would like.

The best wedding band we could've asked for! The Blue Water Kings Band did such an amazing job at our wedding. They made the atmosphere so fun, and all of our guests had a blast! Jon was great to work with behind the scenes, and everything went off without a hitch.

Everyone involved with this band is amazing, very professional, incredibly easy to work with. We had the DJ for ceremony music, the 12 piece band for the reception and the DJ for late night music. They are all so talented and are very good at playing what you ask for and more importantly, not playing what you don’t want. Would highly recommend this band!

We couldn't have been happier with our choice to book Blue Water Kings for our wedding! We knew live music was such an important priority for us, but BWK certainly exceeded our expectations and then some! Clear, professional communication from the very start, and Jon was great to work with in the time leading up to the wedding. We had a 9 piece band, which was phenomenal and all of our guests commented on how amazing the band was and how much fun they had! Our guests didn't leave the dance floor all night - which is what we had hoped for! They even learned a few extra songs to play as special requests, which was so appreciated. Otherwise, they did an excellent job choosing music and catering to us as a couple and our guests!

The absolute best in the business and our favorite part of our big day! We still have friends talking about the music at our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception four months later. Jon worked with us every step of the way to make sure set lists fit our vibe perfectly and we could not have been happier with the sheer talent that showed up on our wedding day. There are a lot of things in wedding planning that are overpriced and we can say with certainty that this was not one of them -- worth every single cent and more!

Working with Bluewater Kings Band was an easy and enjoyable process. Jon and his team were professional and brought so much energy to our reception. They created a custom set list based on our likes/dislikes. The musicians/singers are wildly talented. Our pianist for the ceremony even learned a new song upon request for our processional. I can’t say enough good things about the company and have only heard raving reviews from our guests. Hire them! - & adding in the horn players is worth it and then some.

We booked the 10 piece band for our wedding in Sept and they exceeded all expectations I had. We had such a great experience with the coordinator leading up to our big day. He was highly responsive and a helpful resource as we worked through day- of details. For our wedding day, they ran all music and MC services smoothly. We had so much fun on the dance floor - the band brought the energy!! Was very impressed with the range of songs and highly talented musicians. We received so many compliments from our guests on the band’s high energy, ability to flow with the dance floor energy, and range / talent of musicians .

It was the best concert we have ever been to, and it was our wedding!!! Jon, the band lead, was in constant communication with us leading up to the wedding and basically built a set list of songs specifically for us based off the type of music we wanted, we hand picked every song the band played! All of our friends and family kept (and keep) complimenting the band, My sister said she loved how the members of the band felt like they were partying WITH us and loved how the bass played got out into the crown to jam out with us. it has been several weeks and I am still SO HAPPY we booked BWK band, by far the easiest and best choice of the wedding, besides saying 'I do' of course!!!

We had a BLAST with Bluewater Kings band at our wedding, and they played a major role in helping to make our big day feel so special! The 7 piece band at our 230 person wedding kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. From our grandparents to our friends to our families, our guests loved listening to them and dancing to them; so much so that even months after our special day, they are still commenting on how phenomenal they were! They MC’d for us, played great music during their breaks, and our guests thought the saxophone player was especially awesome/talented. Our ceremony music was also beautiful, and a perfect mix of traditional songs and modern songs. In addition to amazing talent and energy on the day of, Bluewater Kings band was understanding and flexible with us when we made the tough decision to postpone our wedding back in 2020 because of covid. Jon was extremely responsive to any questions we had or whenever we wanted to confirm details. Our last call together two weeks before the wedding, left me feeling extremely confident about the logistics, details and music - they were one less thing I felt I needed to worry about because they had it covered! Bluewater Kings Band was one of our favorite vendors, and they helped make our “packed dance floor” wedding dreams come true! I would absolutely recommend them to anybody in the Cincinnati/Dayton area!

We had an outstanding experience with Bluewater Kings Band during the wedding-planning process and throughout my Daughter’s Wedding Day Celebration. Band Members performed the perfect mix of music from the start of the Chapel Ceremony - during Cocktail Hour – and throughout the Wedding Reception. The Band Members were engaging and enthusiastic – and their performance of the Reception Dance Music was absolutely amazing! Bluewater Kings Band’s high-energy entertainment was enjoyed by our Guests of all ages – The Band delivered the FUN and created a most memorable occasion of grand celebration!

Working with the band up until our wedding was a breeze- they were very helpful and incredbily responsive. The music itself on the big day was incredible, lively, and the best part of the night!! 10/10 would recommend them for any event!

We heard BWK at a wedding in Cincinnati several years ago and loved them, so I looked into them for my Cincinnati wedding as well. They were more affordable and flexible (various levels of packages) than most of the other bands I talked to, and the fact that they are a strong syndicate gave me major peace of mind in this COVID environment. Another thing I loved was that I could give them as much or as little instruction as I wanted, and knew they'd make it a great show. I gave a couple 'do not plays' but otherwise was open to anything, and they were totally fine, and honestly probably preferred, coming up with their own set list. Those were just the logistical reasons why I went with them, but they KILLED IT at our wedding. It wasn't even the same group of individuals that I had heard at my friend's wedding years back (I knew that would be the case), but they absolutely rocked the house and I got so many compliments. Probably the #1 thing my guests have talked about since our wedding day. I also had multiple people come up to me thinking they were another (way more expensive) local band. Can't say enough about them. PLUS they service so many other cities, so I am so confident that they would be amazing no matter where you're getting married. Like I said, I saw 2 different combinations of the group in the same city over the years, and both were amazing. 10/10 recommend!

The highlight of our wedding night!!!!! We hired the 12-piece band from Bluewater Kings Band and they did not disappoint. The vocals were incredible. The brass musicians were killer. The band's manager was incredibly organized, which was so appreciated as I was planning our wedding from across the country AND during a global pandemic. They kept the night safe, fun, and organized- not to mention we received so many compliments regarding how amazing the band was! Thank you Bluewater Kings Band!!

Top notch musicians came and played my wedding and blew all of us away with their talent. If you’re on the fence about who to book, just pick blue water kings. They made it easy to plan, gave us everything we asked for and then some, and I feel like we got way more than we paid for. Lots of guests asked me afterwards the name of the band so they could try and get them for their wedding too. They played the first dance songs that we requested and we are very pleased with BWK. They did very well in the reception venue that had a ton of natural reverb as well. The sound engineer was also top notch. 10/10 recommend.

We hired a 5 piece band for our wedding and they were amazing! Kept the vibe going all night, playing classics and new favorites. Super easy to work with and very professional. Can’t go wrong here!

We hired a 6 piece band for our wedding in Hocking Hills Ohio in September! We also added on a sound tech who came all day and coordinated all the sound for our ceremony as well. They were all so wonderful to work with and easy to get along with. Everyone was raving all night about how great they were. They kept the flow of the party moving wonderfully and even allowed some of us to come up and guest sing with them! And we loved their energy! The only complaint we would have is that they didn't play the list of songs we had requested, but this may have been because we didn't have wifi at our venue. We are thrilled with our choice in them and had so many compliments from our guests!

The absolute best band ever. As a bride, I think I only missed a few songs. I danced all night. We had the 10 piece band. Everyone commented on the band and wanted to know where I found them. Molly was so wonderful with all the changes I made for various reasons. She made my wedding perfect. Thank you so much.

This band was booked for my daughters wedding in June 2020. With the national pandemic we are forced to reschedule the wedding. After contacting this band to see if they could move the date we were told they were available but we would have to pay $500 just to change the date! I would rather lose our deposit (which we are) than give them more money to just move a date. Beware of this band before booking them!

We booked Blue Water Kings for our August wedding and it's safe to say they were the highlight of the day! Our dance floor was packed from the time they started playing until the very last song! We gave Jason a general idea of what songs and genres we wanted them to play and they crushed it! Every single age group of guests could dance along and enjoy themselves. We highly recommend Blue Water Kings for any wedding!!! You won't regret it!

This band was highly professional and exceeded all of our expectations. They met with us several times leading up to wedding and provided all of our musical needs fir both wedding and reception. They were a classy (violin/piano) for the wedding and very fun and engaging for the wedding with their 9 piece band! The singers and horn section were amazing! Everyone was dancing all night long. I couldn’t have asked for anything more ...except another hour of dancing. It was just the perfect wedding band. So fun!

The Bluewater Kings Band is fantastic! From the beginning, Jason was so easy to work with and very responsive to emails. They are willing to take on special requests and arranged a few instrumentalists to lead a parade from our church to our reception venue! Then during the reception there was never a moment where the dance floor wasn't full! They were more than my now husband and I could have hoped for!

The Bluewater Kings Band was absolutely amazing! The booking process was so easy and they NAILED every song! The MC was very easy going and the song selection was appropriate for each part of the evening. Some of our friends requested certain songs during the song breaks and they quickly obliged. So many of our guests have said that our wedding was amazing because of the band! 10/10 would recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about Bluewater Kings Band. I was a little nervous when booking a band because they can really make or break an evening. My husband and I wanted our reception to be nothing but a party, and that is exactly what Bluewater Kings gave us. The two of us did not leave the dance floor. Same with most of our guests. We had the band playing until 12:30 PM and most of our guests were on it the whole time dancing. I was very specific with the band about what type of music I wanted them to play (nothing cheesy and no group dance songs), and they did exactly what I asked for. I didn't give them a list of specific songs to play outside of a few special songs, but I told them a little about the event (black tie, young crowd, no children, etc.) and the type of music I wanted. They took it from there and, just, nailed it. Working with Jason was so easy. I emailed him many times with additional requests and questions, and he always got back to me very quickly and answered all of my questions. My husband and I loved our wedding, and it would not have been the same without this band. They did an outstanding job.

The band was awesome!! The female vocalist blew everybody away. I could not stop dancing the entire night. And the process of booking and speaking with Jason was very easy. It was by far the best night of my life and I would book them a thousand times again!

My wife and I booked Bluewater Kings for our wedding and they were amazing. They were extremely professional and Alex, the MC, was great all night. We received a ton of compliments from guests about their performance. We would highly recommend them for a wedding or any event for that matter!!

Music was one of, if not the top priority of our wedding. We requested a 14 piece band and were very excited to work with this band. We did what everyone suggested. We started early on by going to one of their showings and requesting the singers we’d like. We got on our band planning page, filled out all the information, including our many song requests. There were quite a lot, but before we booked them I scheduled a phone call with Jason (the person who handles all the band communication) and asked all the questions I had, including if they could do the songs I was going to request. He assured me they could. He said they would even make sure they would have a Spanish singer there who could sing a Spanish song we liked. About a week before the wedding I had my 10 minute phone meeting with Jason, where we briefly went over everything. He again assured me of everything I requested. We didn’t care about the order of songs and gave the band a lot of leeway in their choice of music (aside from our requests-based off their website) to play with one important exception. My only request was that my ailing 97 year old grandfather’s favorite song be played first in the night (after the first dances). Jason assured me of this. The band ignored this and played it last of the night after he had to leave. During the reception my wedding planner, myself, and my photographer asked for the song to be played. The band ignored this. The Spanish singer the band brought, didn’t know the one song she was to sing and made faces and rolled her eyes while she sang it, laughing at her mistakes. My guests and I practically had to sing over her. She was not very good. Finally, they didn’t play over half the songs my fiancé and I requested. This was very upsetting to us because we put a lot of thought and effort into what songs we’d like to hear on our wedding night. Finally, when I asked Jason if they would play for our first dance, or play any of the mother/son father/daughter dances, he said “we strongly discourage it”. I understand it doesn’t sound the same live vs recorded, however it was very disheartening to hear this. The band did sound okay, but none of the singers we requested were there. Also, during their breaks, when the “iPod” was on, their music choices were pretty bland and ruined the mood. I have been to weddings where the iPod/DJ music still kept the party going. This didn’t. I wouldn’t have minded if that is when they chose to play the music we requested. However they didn’t. They did however, play a song one of my guests requested. I’m glad they at least made a guest happy. Overall, we were so excited for this band, and it was THE biggest (and only) disappointment of the day.

Let me tell you, this band was absolutely amazing!!! The talent was out of this world!!! What a great vibe they gave to the wedding and it just added so much!!

We booked a ten person band with the Bluewater Kings for a large corporate gala and they were absolutely incredible! Their musical talent far exceeds their price. They are worth their weight in gold and then some. Their performance was high energy, polished and filled with all the songs the crowd loved. You can really tell they love what they do. They were so easy to book with and guided us through the booking, band selection process and filling in all the details they needed to perform flawlessly! We were so happy with the whole evening. We will certainly be working with them any chance we get!

We got so many compliments on the band at and after our wedding!! They did an incredible job! The singer was amazing and Jason asked to be the horn in our arrangement because he does a great hora (Jewish circle dance done at bar/bat mitzvahs and weddings). They did the best hora of any wedding we've been to!!! There were a couple things that could have been better. We wish there were a couple more slow songs, they missed one of our wedding party pairs during our entrances/introductions (which threw the songs off for the following two entrances, including our own), they didn't do the full song for our first dance (which they didn't tell us about, and it was cut off kind of abruptly), and they played a song after the song we requested as our last song, which was just weird. Our wedding planner and venue had a little trouble getting in touch with Jason. Overall, the music was incredible for both the ceremony and reception and we're SO glad that we went with Bluewater Kings Band.

Definitely worth the price (and they were very affordable for a live band!) and then some. Rave reviews from all of our guests, the dance floor was full all night. All band members were very professional and organized, and Jason did a wonderful job working with us to put everything together so we didn’t have to worry about the music at all! Would recommend to literally every couple who wants talented mucisians to perform great music at their wedding.

Amazing! I've never seen such a full dance floor at a wedding. Everyone raved about our wedding band and they were so amazing about not playing any of the "typical" wedding songs from our do-not-play list. Considering that it was a torrential downpour at our outdoor wedding (including the Bourbon & Beyond music festival being RAINED OUT on our wedding day), BWK weren't phased by the weather and put on a great show and had our guests boogying all night. You guys seriously saved the day! THANK YOU!

The Bluewater Kings Band did such an incredible job at our wedding! Leading up to the event, Amy was so responsive and professional. She made it all so easy for us. At the wedding, we first had a strings trio perform at the ceremony and they did an amazing job. It was exactly how I had hoped it would sound! During the reception, the dance floor was not only packed, it was overflowing into the area by the tables. Their rendition of "Shout" was the best I have ever seen live -- they even got my husband involved when the lead singer came out onto the dance floor! If you are looking to dance the night away, this is the band you should pick!

Our day of coordinator cancelled last minute on us that day, the band MC went above and beyond to fill her gap. We could not have been more thankful for Bluewater Kings. Many of our guests asked for their card, or texted us the next day for their name. We highly recommend them for your wedding, our dance floor was filled up until the very last song!

We could not have asked for a better band and MC in the Blue Water Kings! Jason was so organized and extremely punctual in his email responses and was available for any questions throughout the planning process. Phil, Isis, Theo and the rest of the band were able to take our "likes" and "dislikes" list and accommodate all of our songs as well as read the crowd. Their ability to know what the crowd was responding to in order to keep the dance floor full was great! I had so many people coming up to me throughout the night saying how amazing the band was!

We opted for a big band for our wedding, and we could not have found a better group than the Bluewater Kings. They played all night, and kept everyone on the dance floor. Our biggest issue was we needed a bigger dance space! Molly and the whole team we’re invredible. I would recommend a band to any couple getting married because they are just so fun, but I would recommend the Bluewater Kings above the rest because they are just that good. I can't speak highly enough of the Bluewater Kings Band. Our wedding reception wouldn't have been the same without them. Not only was their music top-notch, but they definitely brought the party. Within seconds of their first song, virtually every guest at the wedding was on the dance floor! I've never seen anything like it. People partied until the last song and are still asking me for more details on the band - they were the highlight of the reception!

BEST WEDDING BAND EVER! Bluewater Kings Band was hands down the best part of our wedding. We chose to have them play live music throughout our big day: a cellist and violinist played beautifully during the ceremony, a jazz trio kept things classy and convivial during the cocktail hour, and then the MC and band were totally rocking and on-point during our reception. They had everyone dancing and grooving till the last song! Some of the less mobile folks were entertained just watching the excellent live performance, and many people asked me for their info. In the months leading up to the big day, Danielle was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. I shopped around for a band and this was the best value—worth every penny! The absolute BEST band ever!! I can't begin to say how blown away and happy we were to have the Bluewater Kings Band at our wedding. Ryan was so amazing to work with. He quickly answered every question we had about songs, the timeline, and other logistics. We got so many raving compliments for all of our guests about the Bluewater Kings being one of the best wedding bands ever. Wish we could get married again just to have them perform one more time with all our friends and family. Jessica and Johnny came to sing at our wedding at Notre Dame a month ago. They were absolutely wonderful. Johnny also did a great job as DJ! Our wedding was a bicultural event since I’m from Venezuela and my husband is from the US and they worked with us really well to have music for both sides. There were people dancing for almost the entire reception and we even extended it since the music and everything was so good. My dad found them because he really cared about having live music at my wedding and I’m really glad he found them. We would most definitely hire them again if we had another event.
