Wow! The Bluewater Kings really know how to put on an awesome show. They put together the perfect set list for our event (mix of classic wedding songs and more contemporary pop), and brought an infectious energy that got everyone out onto the dance floor. Our guests are still raving about them one week later!
On top of that, their general professionalism and communication in the planning process was second to none (shoutout to Owen!). I would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend.

Bluewater Kings Band was PERFECT for our wedding. The planning leading up to the event was seamless, the portal kept us on track. The MC services were great the night of and the band kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night with a quality mix of fun dancing songs and nice slow songs. Everyone kept talking about how great a live band was to have and how fantastic the Bluewater Kings were - from our friends and family to the hotel staff the next day! Highly recommend!

Bluewater Kings was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Our guests loved them, and we received many comments on not only the quality of the music but also the entertainment value the band provided. We had our wedding at my parents lake house in Northern Wisconsin and lake neighbors who weren't even at the wedding commented that they brought their chairs out on their decks to listen across the lake. Thank you for such a great time!!

HIRE BLUEWATER KINGS BAND!!!! We had a 6-piece band at our wedding, and it was the highlight of the day for us & our guests. The energy is just so much higher and more fun than a DJ. We had a female & a male singer and their voices were both incredible. They were also great to work with leading up to our wedding - Owen was incredibly responsive & very helpful with suggestions for songs for parts of the day. I am so so happy we booked Bluewater Kings Band & highly recommend!

My husband and I knew that we wanted a band, and the coordination from this group was above and beyond. We chose to have them perform our ceremony (acoustic), as well as MC/Play for the reception. They have a fantastic planning page, so we were able to plan the entire day without any confusion. The MC was able to get ALL of the difficult names pronounced exactly as written. We received so many compliments on how fun they were! We did have to reschedule from 10/2020 to 5/2021, and everything went so smooth. They even learned our first dance song, and a song for our ceremony, which they played just as good (if not better) than the originals! Highly Recommend!

From start to finish, David and his team were easy to work with and even partnered with our venue on set up/sound questions that I could not answer. Their musicians are incredibly talented and were so entertaining! We love the energy of live music and absolutely do not regret booking this band - neither will you!

The Bluewater Kings Band did such an incredible job at our wedding! Leading up to the event, Amy was so responsive and professional. She made it all so easy for us. At the wedding, we first had a strings trio perform at the ceremony and they did an amazing job. It was exactly how I had hoped it would sound! During the reception, the dance floor was not only packed, it was overflowing into the area by the tables. Their rendition of "Shout" was the best I have ever seen live -- they even got my husband involved when the lead singer came out onto the dance floor! If you are looking to dance the night away, this is the band you should pick!

The Bluewater Kings Band was absolutely fantastic for our wedding! My husband and I prioritized having a live band with lots of dancing at our wedding, we wanted to spend as much time at the reception on the dance floor. The Bluewater Kings blew us, and our guests away! They were EXTREMELY easy to work with, and exceeded our expectations. We purchased the 8 piece band with MC. Our day of coordinator cancelled last minute on us that day, the band MC went above and beyond to fill her gap. We could not have been more thankful for Bluewater Kings. Many of our guests asked for their card, or texted us the next day for their name. We highly recommend them for your wedding, our dance floor was filled up until the very last song!

We could not have asked for a better band and MC in the Blue Water Kings! Jason was so organized and extremely punctual in his email responses and was available for any questions throughout the planning process. Phil, Isis, Theo and the rest of the band were able to take our "likes" and "dislikes" list and accommodate all of our songs as well as read the crowd. Their ability to know what the crowd was responding to in order to keep the dance floor full was great! I had so many people coming up to me throughout the night saying how amazing the band was!

We opted for a big band for our wedding, and we could not have found a better group than the Bluewater Kings. They played all night, and kept everyone on the dance floor. Our biggest issue was we needed a bigger dance space! Molly and the whole team we’re invredible. I would recommend a band to any couple getting married because they are just so fun, but I would recommend the Bluewater Kings above the rest because they are just that good. Also, they were the most reasonably priced of the big bands in the area. Thank you Molly and the rest of the band! Our wedding was perfect thanks to you!

I can't speak highly enough of the Bluewater Kings Band. Our wedding reception wouldn't have been the same without them. Not only was their music top-notch, but they definitely brought the party. Within seconds of their first song, virtually every guest at the wedding was on the dance floor! I've never seen anything like it. People partied until the last song and are still asking me for more details on the band - they were the highlight of the reception!

BEST WEDDING BAND EVER! Bluewater Kings Band was hands down the best part of our wedding. We chose to have them play live music throughout our big day: a cellist and violinist played beautifully during the ceremony, a jazz trio kept things classy and convivial during the cocktail hour, and then the MC and band were totally rocking and on-point during our reception. They had everyone dancing and grooving till the last song! Some of the less mobile folks were entertained just watching the excellent live performance, and many people asked me for their info.
In the months leading up to the big day, Danielle was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. I shopped around for a band and this was the best value—worth every penny! Thank you, Bluewater Kings Band!

The absolute BEST band ever!! I can't begin to say how blown away and happy we were to have the Bluewater Kings Band at our wedding. Ryan was so amazing to work with. He quickly answered every question we had about songs, the timeline, and other logistics. We got so many raving compliments for all of our guests about the Bluewater Kings being one of the best wedding bands ever. Wish we could get married again just to have them perform one more time with all our friends and family. Jessica and Johnny came to sing at our wedding at Notre Dame a month ago. They were absolutely wonderful. Johnny also did a great job as DJ! Our wedding was a bicultural event since I’m from Venezuela and my husband is from the US and they worked with us really well to have music for both sides. There were people dancing for almost the entire reception and we even extended it since the music and everything was so good. My dad found them because he really cared about having live music at my wedding and I’m really glad he found them. We would most definitely hire them again if we had another event.

We knew we wanted a band, and we're so glad that we found Blue Water Kings Band! They were so awesome and the music was so great! We had the 8 piece band and everyone was up and dancing. They even threw in an additional singer who was going to be in the area just for the price of their plate! Their MC service was also great for us and they made sure everything ran smoothly! Jessica and team were super easy to work with, they give you access to a website where you can enter your timeline, dance order, etc. as well as song choices you'd like to hear! They did an awesome job and couldn't recommend them enough to other couples looking for a great live band!

We had an 8 piece band from Bluewater Kings at our wedding and they were incredible. The playlist was creative and unique, and the musicians were insanely talented. All of the special songs were perfect and our guests danced all night long! They also had my dad play a song with them on bass and it made him feel Iike a total rockstar!
I would absolutely recommend Bluewater Kings to anyone planning a wedding or other special event. Besides being an excellent band, they are very affordable!

We hired Bluewater Kings for our wedding and we’re so glad we did! They were INCREDIBLE! The top compliment we’ve received post wedding is how much fun our guests had from the entertaining and interactive live band. Bluewater Kings Band was incredible! They made our wedding reception. The dance floor was packed the entire night and the band sounded amazing. Set list was great and all the musicians exceeded expectations. All of our guests commented how blown away they were with the band and music. Ryan was great with planning and communication prior to the event, and did an excellent job on our wedding day. He was a great emcee and helped us stay on schedule all night. Amazing value for the cost. Highly recommend this band to anyone planning a wedding.

The Bluewater Kings were absolutely fantastic at our wedding. We had an unfortunate power outage due to the venue but that didn't stop the BWK from still keeping the dance floor popping all night. They were the upmost professional and they completely saved the night. I would recommend them to anyone looking for not just a wedding band, but a great party!

We hired the Bluewater Kings for our wedding at Room 1520--a 6 piece and then 2 band members (piano and guitar) for our ceremony. They were great and had our guests dancing all night long! Highly recommend! We worked with Molly beforehand and she made sure the band knew exactly what type of vibe we were going for and made planning super easy! She is very professional and works to meet all requests. Our wedding was perfect and we had so much fun thanks to this band!

Bluewater Kings Band was the perfect fit for our wedding. We were looking for a band that would appeal to the whole party and we definitely found it. We wanted the music to lean more towards the classic soul/funk/oldies side while also playing enough fun dance songs that would keep people on their feet. This seemed very natural to them as the night had a perfect progression from "classy/elegant" in the beginning to a full on dance party by the end.
Jessica and the band were so thorough and accommodating throughout the whole process. I can be a control freak and it was immediately apparent that they have their stuff together and I had nothing to worry about it. Their showcases are brilliant in how they show different band setups and sizes and the communication was effortless to drill home all the details. They were also very accommodating in allowing a very special request to sit in with them on a song - and we tore the roof off that place! Highly recommended!

WOW, we cannot say enough about this band. They played at our reception on 10/13/18 in Peoria, IL. We had the 7 piece band and it was amazing, so many compliments. They nailed our first song, and made the special night a night to remember. There were not any hiccups, everything that was discussed with our point of contact Jessica was exactly what happened that night. There was nothing to worry about and the band kept the dance floor hopping! Thanks for a great night!

Overall i’d day they were good not great. Our band planner Jessica assured me they are experts at pairing singers and the songs they play with the vibe of the bride and groom. After talking with her a few times, she assured me Dee and Jill would be the right fit for our wedding. Day of comes and I learn that they don’t know many of the songs that I wanted played on the dance floor. Their song choices were strange, it seemed like they struggled to figure out which songs people were into. Also they took really long breaks and the music they played during it was quiet and a buzz kill. I had to run outside to them on their break to ask them to turn it up so people could dance.
Based on other reviews and what I’ve seen at their showcases, Id say they could definitely be worth it, just make sure you are paired with the right singers who know the music you want to dance to on your wedding night.

r event after seeing him sing at multiple showcases - he's amazing, so I completely understand why you would insist that he was your singer! I am sorry that you ultimately felt his style of music didn't fit your vision - we based our set list for the evening on the songs you requested on your planning page before the event along with songs we know are classic dance floor fillers. I know you changed your mind on the setlist on the night, which I can appreciate. While we tried to accommodate your last minute requests, it can be difficult for a live band to adjust on such short notice. I thought you were happy with our solution to DJ some of your last minute must-play requests, so I'm really sorry if we misunderstood. We truly were trying to accommodate as best we could on the night to give you the best night with all your favorite music, so I'm sorry if we didn't achieve that. Best wishes to you and Bryant!

INSANELY TALENTED MUSICIANS!!!! This band was high-energy and kept the dance floor packed for the entirety of the night. I couldn't have loved the music more if I tried and heard countless compliments from guests about how amazing the band was!
They have a customized, flexible approach to building the music package that's perfect for you, with the ability to provide classical musicians for the ceremony, a jazz quarter for cocktail hour and nearly any blend of genres you like for the reception. We added two brass players to the reception band to get the sound we wanted and the saxophone player was unreal!!! Of all the vendors I worked with, communicating with the Blue Water Kings was the easiest. They use a custom micro-site to host all of the information specific to your wedding and it made communication clear, efficient and so effective. I loved working with their point-person Jason and am so glad that we hired them to rock our night!

This was likely the best decision that we made for our wedding! Our dance floor was packed the whole night, I felt like we were at a concert! Blue Water Kings are a group of musicians and you can request certain people and you can choose your size of band as well and what instruments you would like (obviously with their recommendations). They offer showcases in the metro Detroit area so you can get a little preview, and they have different people playing at each showcase. We ended up going to 2. You are assigned someone who is your go-to contact (not necessarily in your band). They have you fill out a band planning page where you indicate timeline, music styles, specific songs you'd like/not like, etc. We were assigned to Tony, who was very helpful and patient with us through all of our questions and made us feel at ease the week before the wedding. We were a little high maintenance and ended up creating a dinner playlist and dance playlist on Spotify, letting them know they were ordered by priority. They did an amazing job sticking to this! If they couldn't play the song live, they DJ'd it during their breaks. And did a perfect job placing these DJ'd songs (and live songs) in a good order that kept everyone on the dance floor, and played slower songs earlier in the night to make sure some of the older folks made it out on the dance floor before calling it a night. You can have them learn 3 songs that they wouldn't otherwise know. They also offer MC services for a little extra money so all of your intros, cake cutting announcement, etc. are taken care of. We had them play bass and piano during cocktail hour and received great reviews from that as well (we were off taking pictures). My husband's brother is a musician (and is actually trying out for BWK next week) and they allowed him to come up and sing a song with the band, and it was awesome! So much fun!!

I pride myself in making a great playlist. When the reception was in full swing guests kept coming up to compliment me on having the band play such amazing music. It wasn't me... The Bluewater Kings Band read the crowd the entire night and played hit song after hit song!
The group is super talented and we were extremely impressed with them. Prior to the event I worked with one of the band members to discuss the logistics of the reception . They were professional and wanted to accommodate everything we wanted to do to make the night perfect. Needless to say we couldn't have been more pleased with the music, talent, and the atmosphere they created for our reception.
If you're thinking about the Bluewater Kings Band for your wedding/event I give them the highest recommendation. The other cool thing they do is play showcase sets in Columbus so we went to see them play at the Woodlands Tavern so we could see the band for ourselves. We pretty much knew after the first song they played that this was the band for our us!

Best wedding planning decision that we made, hands down. I would give them ten stars if I could. Their communication was amazing and so detailed from start to finish, Danny was incredible to work with. Our dance floor was packed from start to finish, all of our guests said they've never seen a dance floor like that at a wedding. We had multiple engaged couples ask to be introduced to meet the band at our reception and immediately said that they wanted to book them for their upcoming weddings. We've even had acquaintances who weren't at the wedding reach out and say that they heard how incredible our band was and ask for their information. They also handled any special requests we had, like learning one of our favorite, kind of obscure, songs and letting my husbands cousin who is a professional singer hop on stage for a song. We loved having the Blue Water Kings at our wedding, they really made the reception special.

Blue Water Kings were INCREDIBLE at our wedding! Ryan was the coordinator who we worked with primarily during the planning portion and he was always responsive and great! We hired an 8 piece band for our wedding reception at Calhoun Beach Club in Minneapolis, MN and they were amazing! We also hired a pianist and violinist for our ceremony and they were wonderful as well!
Blue Water Kings played all the songs we asked for and so much more! The singers we had were Sarah and Sam, and they were both knock-your-socks-off amazing! I wish i could listen to them forever, they were fantastic! The band that played was great, really brought a wonderful, classy, fun atmosphere to our wedding, they were everything we hoped for and more! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My husband and I could not have been more happy with the performance the Bluewater Kings Band gave at our wedding! They were so enjoyable and easy to work with, and took our requests, preferences, and personality into consideration for the music for our wedding reception. We were so impressed with how efficient and organized they were. We chose to have the 8 piece band with the full horn section, and it was probably the best decision we made for our big day! The music was fun and energetic, with a good mix of current hits and classic favorites. Our guests were dancing all night long, and commented on how good the music was for weeks after the weeding was over.

BWK was phenomenal for our wedding at The Masonic Temple!! They filled that giant room with such a great sound and kept our guests dancing all night. Danny was great to work with as we figured out all the details leading up to the wedding, and Sam our MC made sure that the day flowed smoothly through the music! We can't thank them enough for bringing us through that day so well. I've already recommended them to another couple marrying next year and they're just as excited!

I have nothing but great things to say about the Bluewater Kings! I come from a very musical family so I was nervous to select a band, knowing they would be really hard critics. But the band blew everyone away!
Jacy was incredible to work with- so friendly, upbeat, and on top of all communications. It was so fun to have her performing at our actual event as well.
I had very specific requests for the setlist and they completely delivered. There wasn't one song I wasn't absolutely thrilled about. The dance floor was completely full all night and I had many people tell me how amazing the band was.
They performed our first dance songs as well as the song for our "flash mob" (see pics) which was also extremely fun. We had so much fun and we wish we could do it all over again.

Why are you reading this?
You should be either be looking when you can see Bluewater Kings live or already booking them for your wedding.
All joking aside, in the best way possible, I don't have enough positive words to describe Blue Water Kings. They were absolutely great to work with beforehand. And day of, is even better!
They give you great feedback and recommendations and their planning tool helps them get a feel for you, while knowing how to make your day special.
You don't have to worry about some DJ mixing the wrong type of music in and isolating certain audience members. BWKs are professionals at reading the crowd and doing what they can to get everyone up and moving from GO.
A month later, I'm still getting videos from my friends and family from them dancing to the band.
Super engaging and they have an incredible range of music to select from.
If you're even entertaining the idea of live music. Check them out, could make all the difference between just another wedding and something truly spectacular.

Bluewater Kings Band played at my wedding in Plymouth, MI. We had an 8-piece band play for several hours during the reception--let me tell you, I have never seen a band that can deliver such a fun dance party! Not only did we have a full dance floor at the end of the night, but we got so many compliments on the band from attendees young and old.
When you book this band, my best piece of advice is to give them only a few song ideas--they know how to read a room, so let them do their thing and it will be more than fantastic.
To top it off, the band was very easy to work with--communicative, professional, and easy to pay. They get along with all other vendors and are very flexible when planning your day. Could not recommend this crew more!

Where to begin... Wow, just wow!! They performed at my daughter’s wedding September 15th. We Went with the 9 piece band, absolutely perfect!! We had a brass quartet for the ceremony, strings for cocktail hour, and then, the band!! Tony, Theo and crew Rocked the Toledo Club!! Amazing talent! Live band is definitely the way to go. I would hire this band immediately!! We have had so many positive comments and compliments from guests and family on how great the band was, and that they would recommend them also!!
No regrets at all!! Definitely made the evening!!

Hands down the best wedding band out there! The dance floor was packed the whole night and they played a little bit of everything for everyone, classics to today's hits. The booking process was simply but detailed and your individual wedding page allowed for you to provide all needed details and for easy communication with the band manager.
