We are so happy we booked Bluewater Kings to perform at our wedding! Not only was the team incredibly easy to work with, but they nailed all of the songs we want to hear and created unforgettable memories for both us and our guests. If you book Bluewater Kings, transportation-wise, account for all guests staying until the end of the night. No one wanted to leave the dance floor. If you're looking for a band for your wedding, it has to be Bluewater Kings.

We HIGHLY recommend Bluewater Kings Band! From the day we signed our contract, Owen and his team have been friendly and easy to work with. They even helped us secure a videographer less than a month before our wedding! On our wedding day, they were easy to work with and super flexible (given we ran into some weather-related issues). They kept our guests happy and dancing all night long! We couldn't imagine our wedding day without Bluewater Kings Band! 

The Bluewater Kings were so easy to work with from initial discussions through the day of our wedding! Our producer Jessica made the planning process super easy and ensured we had elements incorporated that were important to us. The band on the day of was high energy and accommodating and our guests were on their feet all night! We got so many compliments on the music and are grateful we chose Bluewater Kings to be part of our special celebration.

The entire Bluewater Kings Band was absolutely excellent for our wedding night. We had a very energetic and diverse crowd and had the 6-piece band performing, and they really knocked it out of the park for us. All of our guests, from the older crowd to the younger generations, really enjoyed the song choices that the band had picked out and they did a great job keeping the whole crowd out on the dance floor the entire night. They really set the tone for a fun, upbeat and highly energetic reception and our crowd definitely fed off of it. Not to mention their performances of each song were fabulous and we often had to check if they were playing live or pre-recorded music because they sounded so good! They surpassed all of our expectations for our wedding night and did so within a very reasonable budget, and we will be highly recommending them to all of our family and friends in need of live entertainment as we cannot wait for the next event with Bluewater Kings playing!

Bluewater Kings Band not only had every guest at our wedding on the dance floor the entire night, but gave us incredible peace of mind during our planning process. We worked with our producer, Shai via the convenient planning page they shared with us upon booking, and we never had any concerns about our timeline or expectations, because she was so responsive and answered all of our questions with urgency and kindness. The band worked directly with our venue to ensure all setup requirements were good to go, and on the day of our wedding they provided everything from a solo piano during our reception, a DJ'd cocktail hour, and an 8 piece band to bring the party for the reception. The night went so smoothly and we received so many compliments on how the band set the tone for the best party of our lives. Thanks, BWK!

BWKB brings the energy. They know how to work a crowd. We worked with Jacy, one of the many managers of BWKB. Communication with Jacy was always clear and she did a great job listening to our vision. They put on a damn good show, which included a 10-minute Hora. We went to show-case earlier in the year, which helped to solidify booking this band. If you have special requests for songs to learn, make sure you tell them with ample time to practice. Their playlist is a little dated at this point, so if you want some current songs, get those requests in early.

When picking our wedding vendors, an amazing live band was the top of our list! We had been told by people we know how great Bluewater Kings was, but my husband and I can honestly say they far exceeded our expectations! The first thing we did was go to a showcase in Chicago to see BWK, which I would highly recommend! They showcase various band sizes and instruments/vocals that can be included which was so helpful to customize our experience. We ended up booking at 13-piece band and are so happy we did! The process of working with BWK was so simple - we worked with our producer Molly throughout the entire year between booking the band and our wedding, which was September 30. Molly was incredibly responsive and helpful the entire time, and she helped guide us toward the perfect band selection. BWK also has a really helpful portal that you can do all of your collaboration and planning in which was a great asset! As I mentioned, one of our most important parts of our wedding day was the music, and our goal was to keep our guests dancing all night long. To say BWK delivered would be an absolute understatement! They worked with us to have a 3 song dance set before dinner after our first dance, which got our guests out on the dance floor early and helped keep the energy high all night long! When the band was playing the dance floor was packed, and that was our goal! BWK lets you pick a few must-play songs, as well as don't plays, and they stuck to those for us. All the songs in between were exactly what our guests like to hear, and they had a large range of genres and songs across decades that they played all night long. Additionally, the absolutely knocked our first dance and parent dances out of the park! Finally, the band leader for the night, David, was unbelievable. He worked closely with our venue and our planner to keep everything on track, made amazing announcements to let our guests know what was coming up next, and helped keep the party going all night long. Thanks so much David! Aside from just the 13 piece band, we hired ceremony and cocktail hour musicians from BWK, as well as lighting and video services through their partner Lightwave Productions. Everything was so easy to coordinate and Lightwave was also so great to work with - we can't wait to see the final video product! I can't say enough amazing things about BWK - if you don't book them for your wedding you will be missing out. Thank you so much Molly and team!

We had the Bluewater Kings at our September 2023 wedding. They were absolutely incredible - their music kept the dance floor packed all night, and I can't even count how many people complemented us on the band. We'd recommend them to anyone who asks!

BWK was exactly as advertised and helped make our wedding day go smoothly. The band/MC were constantly in communication with us throughout the day and performed excellently. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Bluewater Kings Band is the best band in the area… full stop. They are true professionals who work hard to understand your vision and bring that to light. They played our wedding and it was FANTASTIC! By far the most common comment I received was how good the band was!

We were lucky enough to be at a wedding where they performed. They had 9 artists and man oh man they were amazing. They played 3 sets, and they ran the gamut. The bride who has an amazing voice joined the band for 2 songs. They were like no other band I have witnessed at a wedding. Non stop dancing, and so professional. I will be seeking them out to see them again. They perform all over the place.

We just had our wedding on Saturday and I can't say enough good things about this band. From the wide variety of songs they played for us, to the great sound and energy they filled the room with. Our wedding really needed a good band to help make it great and they really came through for us. Extremely curteous and professional. They even surprised us by playing several of our song requests and they were able to play the right songs at the right time based on where we were in the reception timeline. I firmly believe we picked the best band for our wedding. We received so many compliments from our guests about how fun and talented they were. Bluewater Kings was amazing!!! We hired them for our wedding in August 2022 at Notre Dame. Molly was so wonderful to work with leading up to the wedding and she got exactly what we were looking for. They also played our requests during the breaks which was awesome so we could hear the originals of some of our favorites. The music selection was perfect and every song was a hit. We were SO happy with the songs they picked and our guests clearly loved it too since the dance floor was packed the entire night! So many of our guests have commented on how amazing the band was and that it was the most packed dance floor they've ever seen at a wedding. Josh the MC was also so great and we loved his energy! They were also kind enough to share the set list afterwards so we can always remember the songs played. My only regret is not having more videos of the band once our videographer left since I wish I could replay it! I would HIGHLY recommend booking Bluewater Kings as soon as you can!

Before we booked BWK for our wedding in Louisville, KY in September 2022, we went to their Chicago sample performance which was super helpful to hear the difference between the different band size options. We ended up going with a 7 piece band and were able to use a promo for an hour for a jazz trio for our cocktail hour. I think for our location the band was from the Cincinnati location but they were just as good as what we had in Chicago. We had a lot of compliments from our guests on how much they enjoyed the band and there were a decent amount of people on the floor whenever the band went on. It was also very easy to communicate with them for coordination on their planning platform and submit any requests prior to the day. Would definitely recommend them!

Bluewater Kings were everything we hoped for and then some! They are incredible musicians and the nicest people. They brought such good energy and kept the dance floor full the entire night. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

BWK were absolutely incredible! Their song list is very large and they nailed both sets during our wedding reception. We also had them play jazz during our cocktail hour, which I highly recommend. They also learned and played a special request song for us, and it sounded amazing! Would 100% recommend for any event!

We recently celebrated our daughter's wedding on the roof top of the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Chicago, I, father of the bride, could not have been more impressed by the professionalism, quality and showmanship of this band! Our guests loved the performance. Kudos to Marlon and Lillian for driving the bus! Special shout out to Kai. Loved riding the elevator with you!

WOW! What an amazing job done by the blue water kings. Hands down the best money we spent on our wedding. This was definitely a splurge well spent. They played multiple custom requests for our ceremony and absolutely killed it at the reception. Owen was great to work with as our contact person and genuinely cared about our special day. We could not have been happier.

My husband and I hired a 7-piece band from BWK for our wedding reception, as well as to DJ our ceremony and cocktail hour. Taylor was our lead contact, and was also one of the vocalists and the MC for the night. The good: The quality of the band was great. We felt that all the members of the band were really talented, and they did a great job of picking a mix of Frank Sinatra type music during dinner, and wedding "classics" and more modern pop for dancing. We got a lot of compliments from our guests about the band! The bad: The music for our wedding processional was played incorrectly, which was really upsetting. We had provided Taylor with extremely clear instructions that grandparents would process to the background music that was already playing while guests were being seated, and that the processional song would start AFTER the grandparents were done processing. This was outlined in our planning page, discussed during our "Greenlight" meeting, and also outlined in the timeline provided by our coordinator. Instead, Taylor started the processional song when the grandparents began walking, and then switched to the bridal entrance song when my husband started down the aisle. By the time the rest of the wedding party had finished processing, the song was done and had to be restarted for my entrance. But even this wasn't executed smoothly- rather than just starting the song over immediately, he first started playing our upbeat "exit" song before realizing his mistake and going back to the bridal entrance song. Additionally, Taylor forgot that after our grand entrance at the reception, my husband and I were then going to cut the cake, prior to welcome speeches being given. Instead, he started to announce my dad's welcome speech while we were in the middle of cutting cake. Again, this had all been outlined in our planning page, "Greenlight" meeting, and was detailed in the timeline provided to our vendors by the coordinator. We never received an apology about these issues, or even an acknowledgement that a mistake was made. It's particularly frustrating that we paid $250 for ceremony DJ service, only to have it messed up. Overall- I'd recommend BWK if you're purely looking for a musically talented band at your wedding, but I wouldn't trust them with ceremony DJ services. Get a friend or family member to do it. I would also recommend asking whoever will be MC'ing the night to "teach back" the timeline to you so that you can confirm they understand the order of events and what to announce when.

Highly recommend BWK as the planning process was very easy and extremely organized. On top of that, the band was incredible. They took all our suggestions and were extremely accommodating to make it unique to us. All of our guests were raving about them and we couldn’t have asked for a better band!

We had the best experience with Blue Water Kings! So pleasant and easy to work with from start to finish. We loved that we got to see them at a showcase before booking and feel 150% confident in our decision. They did not disappoint!! Our dance floor was packed all night, everyone was telling us how amazing they were all night. We cannot say enough good things about the Blue Water Kings. They were so crucial in creating the wedding that we dreamed of. From running sound for the ceremony and cocktail hour, to performing during the reception. The atmosphere was incredible. People that don’t dance were cutting a rug. They’re music is amazing and people who know a lot about music we’re saying how good they were. Best way to get the energy going, hire BWK!!! Tony was amazing and helped plan the whole schedule.

The band sounded GREAT at our wedding! The MC was phenomenal, and our point of contact was very easy to get in touch with. The only thing we were a little disappointed with was our set list. We were given the opportunity to list five “MUST HAVE” song requests. The band didn’t play one of the five. We were also able to list as many likes /dislikes as we wanted to supply the band with when building their set list. Many of our likes were avoided. There was one song on the “likes” list (that the crowd was begging the band to play all night) that my contact point explicitly stated “would DEFINITELY be played at some point throughout the night, whether live or prerecorded.” It wasn’t played. On our “dislike” list, we asked for no current/pop country unless specifically stated in our ”likes.” This request was ignored as well. While I definitely do recommend this band , I wish I felt like my requests and likes were a little more present at my wedding.

We booked the Bluewater Kings (7 pieces) for our 55-person wedding in Chicago (December 2022) and they absolutely blew away our wildest expectations, which were high to begin with! The booking and pre-event process was seamless, Owen was very responsive and accommodating. We booked the 7-piece band for our wedding reception and they were incredible! Every song they played was perfect, they kept the energy up and had everyone dancing all night. They also were able to learn 3 songs for us, with which they did an incredible job! We had never been to a wedding before that had a live band and this was an absolute gamechanger! If you’re even slightly considering a live band for your wedding, here are some suggestions: Book the Bluewater Kings, they will rock your socks off, and they are 1000% worth the money!

One of our top “must haves” for our wedding reception was live music. My then fiancé saw a sample show of the Blue Water Kings in the city and we immediately booked them for our wedding. After many emails coordinating with Corbin, we booked a 7 piece band with an MC, sound and DJ for ceremony and cocktail hour as well as uplighting features. We sent a short playlist of song requests, and was so impressed with the set list the band came up with that fully encompassed who we were as a couple. They played songs from so many different genres, and our dance floor was packed all night long! Christina’s voice was incredible! Highly recommend booking for your event, they won’t disappoint.

BWKB does really beautiful work. They personalize your experience. They highly tailor song choices to the bride and groom and the mood of the room/dance floor. Everyone at our wedding was on the dance floor nearly the whole reception and we received so many compliments re: our band following our wedding. We are just so grateful we got to have the BWKB perform at our wedding! They even covered our first dance song "Into the Mystic", so we knew it was fate. They were amazing!!!!!

Played for my daughter’s reception. All age groups danced all night. Fantastic band, excellent sax player, lead singer and drummer- really, every member of the band was fantastic! At midnight the dance floor was still packed.

To say that BWK was great, or outstanding, or the best live music I've ever heard for a private event would be an understatement. I cannot tell you how many people REPEATEDLY came up to me during my wedding reception, wide eyed looks of wonder on their faces, exclaiming how incredible the band was. I wanted a band really badly for our wedding, and I pushed for this even though the cost was certainly higher than any DJ we'd quoted. Pretty much every venue we toured recommended BWK, and we actually had the chance to see them perform at a friend's wedding a year before ours, affirming our decision. At the reception, I was in awe. They were fabulous from start to finish. A few specifics to note if my gushing above isn’t sufficient: 1. We worked with Owen Stevenson in the planning stages, and he was fantastic. He spent enough time on the phone with us to understand what we were wanted, whether or not we could clearly define it. 2. On one of those phone calls, we discussed our first dance and if we wanted the band to play the song. I asked him if he knew the song “Do You Wanna Do Nothing with Me” by Lawrence, and he answered the question by singing the chorus. Needless to say they learned it, and it was frankly just as good as the recorded version. 3. We added ceremony “DJ services” pretty late in the game when we finally realized that the sound in the ceremony room wasn’t gonna cut it. Owen was there, had our playlists loaded, and was a joy to work with. We did one quick rehearsal and he very simply took the cues he needed to take from our officiant to deal with some integrated music we wanted as part of the ceremony. 4. We had these foam party hats as part of the reception that were just… fun. Before I even realized that they’d been brought out, though, I saw them on the heads of one of the lead singers and the tenor saxophonist, who subsequently laid down an absolutely fire solo while wearing it. 11 out of 10. Would book again. I may just see if they can come do a concern on my deck or something. Would’ve paid double. Highly recommend.

From Frank Sinatra to Motown to country to top 40s - this band can play it all and will keep your guests on the dance floor all night long. We cannot speak high enough of this band, their producer and the professionalism they all bring -- through the planning process to the big day. Investing in a great band was important to my husband and I because it's the heart of a great wedding. They were worth every penny -- and, frankly, they could probably charge more. Tony (their producer) and their hiring process made it easy for us to know exactly what to expect and customize our band size and production elements for the whole day. That personalization was important to us, as was someone serving as an emcee to "drive" the night forward. We ended up extending the jazz trio at our cocktail hour and it truly kicked off the night with the most elegant, festive vibe. They also accommodated a few personal requests - they learned three songs for our first dances (couple, bride/father and groom/mother) and my request to join the bang to serenade my new husband for one song. Book them and there will be no question: Your event will be a smash hit.

The Bluewater Kings Band performed for our daughter’s wedding August 2022. They were amazing. The dance floor was filled the entire night with all age groups dancing. Many times we stopped to see if the band was playing because they sounded so much like the original. We highly recommend including the horns and saxophone. Our guests could not stop talking about the band. They were fabulous!

Absolutely perfect. We saw this band on our first date and knew we had to have them for our wedding, they didn't disappoint! They created exactly the atmosphere we were looking for and were so easy to work with.

We had Bluewater Kings Band at our June 2022 wedding at River Roast in Chicago and they were nothing short of epic. EPIC - not an exaggeration. The planning process was really seamless; we worked with Owen and he had really professional communication (especially compared to other bands I had reached out to). We had a few must-play songs and created a Spotify playlist as 'inspiration' for the band, and they nailed it. The band sounded INCREDIBLE. The dance floor was full the entire night and we had so many guests telling us that we had the most fun wedding they've ever been to. BWK also handled the audio for our ceremony (the guests in the back said they could hear everything) and one of the lead singers was our emcee for the night and he did a great job. Booking BWK was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

This is your sign to book this band. We had an absolutely awesome experience working with Tony leading up to our wedding, where he was professional, organized, and a pleasure to work with. BUT LET ME TELL YOU, THE BAND ROCKED IT ALL NIGHT!! We had a 10 piece band, including a jazz trio for our cocktail hour and the band and team truly kept the party going all night. They were also very accommodating for special requests and genuinely good people. We hope to see them again soon!

We saw this band at a friend's reception about a year before our wedding and found their pricing to be comparable with others in the area. After seeing their local monthly showcase, we upgraded to include the horn section -- and are glad we did! We loved that we could completely customize the size of band and type of music we wanted. Jon was great in helping us to plan in advance. The band was on time, very professional, and sounded great! Nick did a great job as emcee and we continue to get compliments from friends about how great the band was!

We absolutely LOVED working with Bluewater Kings Band from start to finish! The process was so easy and fun. They were receptive to changes, easy to contact (thanks Jessica!), and amazing to work with. However, what absolutely blew us away was the performance. It was out of this WORLD. We could not be happier with the Bluewater Kings! From the planning with Owen, to the day of, everything went better than we could have ever imagined. The band was absolutely amazing - played all the songs we were dying to hear, sang our first dance song, brought the energy, etc. My family is Greek and the lead singer, Vasily knew exactly what to do when we wanted to dance to a few Greek songs :) Our biggest fear was to see no one on the dance floor, and that did not happen! We booked BlueWater Kings after attending another wedding where they were playing as a guest and I’m so glad we did. Everyone raved about the band and said it was the best band they had ever heard. They played great songs and kept the party going! I didn’t realize it at the time, but people told me afterwards that the volume of music was perfect – not too loud at all. Sometimes bands play and it can be really hard to have a conversation or hear people, but that is not the case at all with BlueWater Kings! They made our wedding celebration so much fun for all our guests. We also used them for our ceremony music and cocktail hour and they were great there as well! In addition, they’re super organized and have a wonderful portal for you to upload information so everything is in one spot and you have a dedicated representative to ask questions to and serve as your contact. I highly encourage you to book them early!

The Bluewater Kings Band was a highlight of our wedding. They made our wedding a true celebration. The pre-planning document they had us fill out touched on all the details of the event and made everything run smoothly. Our coordinator, Karisa Sprite, was very responsive and went above and beyond for us. She ensured that we had the perfect ceremony music, even though what we wanted ended up being fairly complicated compositions. The sound system for our outdoor ceremony worked great and ensured everyone could hear our service. At the reception, the talent of the band itself was spectacular - they are really fun performers and definitely set the tone for the celebration. The male and female vocals were amazing. The brass section was out of this world. We went with the 7-piece band for a 130-person wedding. And the DJ'd music breaks in between sets were also excellent. The lighting package was great and kept the evening feeling like a party. We saw them play at a friend’s wedding about a year before our own and just loved them so we knew we had to book them for our wedding - and wer are so glad we did! The Bluewater Kings were the band for my daughter's wedding last weekend. They were awesome!! We requested an east coast style wedding and they did a great job with that and kept the party going and the dance floor filled the entire night. They were so interactive with the crowd and so talented. One of the things I really liked is that they seemed to be having as much fun as the guests. I highly recommend this band. I feel that they are every bit as talented as some of the other bands out there that are substantially more expensive.

This band is both amazing and reasonably priced! Jessica was incredible to work with - able to accommodate many of our requests and answering my incessant questions. The band is so talented! We had so many compliments after the wedding and the dance floor was packed the whole time. They really understood what the crowd (and most importantly, the bride haha!) wanted to hear and they really made the party. I would highly highly recommend them to anyone!

One of the main things everyone loved from our wedding was the band! Bluewater Kings is very experienced and so much fun, and Jessica at BWK is very organized and knowledgeable. I would recommend BWK to any future couples who are looking for a band that brings amazing energy and vibe.

If I could give the Blue Water Kings Band 100 stars I would! My husband and I had them play our wedding November 2021 and it was hands down the best decision we made when planning our wedding. We'd decided to look into a band pretty far into our planning process after deciding a typical wedding dj just wasn't going to cut it.we initially were worried we wouldn't be able to book a band with only a few months notice, but Molly assured us our date was available and helped tailor the best band package for the size of our wedding. From start to finish the process was easy and professional, something I couldn't say about the DJ's we'd interviewed and even booked previously. The day of our wedding we truly were blown away by this band! they brought the energy we really wanted. There was no point in the night where the dance floor was empty. In fact the bartenders at our venue commented that our wedding was the easiest open bar they've had in awhile because everyone was on the dance floor all night long. If you are hesitant about having a live band for whatever reason, do not be when it comes to the Bluewater Kings band.10/10 would recommend and would hire them again in a heartbeat. Can't say enough good things about them. They Truly made my wedding memorable and EXACTLY what my husband and I were hoping for.

OK LIKE WOW! Seriously amazing. Worth every penny. BOOK THIS BAND NOW. Our NYE wedding would not have been the same without them. They have a very easy way to make song recommendations and requests through their portal. Molly, who helped us organize everything, was so professional and seemed so on top of it every time we spoke. She made the process flawless. Our band was spectacular! There wasn't a song I didn't love the whole night! The singers and musicians were phenomenal. If you're nervous about how they sound, I'd recommend listening to them on Spotify or going to one of their Live Showcases that they post about on IG and FB. We went to a live showcase in Chicago a year before our wedding and they sounded even better on the night of the wedding in our reception space! And, they even DJ'd the band breaks with my song requests which made it super fun. They allowed my mom to sing a song with them which was super meaningful. In addition, they played a song I recorded as our first dance. There were no issues with that, and they announced everything so nicely. I even got to sing along to Semicharmed Life at the end when things were getting a little wild. What a fun time!!! We had a LOT of hiccups in wedding planning, but Bluewater Kings was NOT ONE OF THEM! They were simply amazing from the planning process to the actual day. Their set up was amazing as well, definitely recommend the lights package! You can't go wrong! Thank you to the band for making our day so special!

Bluewater Kings Band really helped to make our wedding day special! Their coordinator was easy to contact and quick to communicate. She set up a website for us to put all our information in, which was easy to use. We had a pianist during the ceremony/cocktail hour and a 7 piece band during the reception. The pianist played beautifully and the band was lively and fun during the reception. They really put everyone in the mood to dance the entire night. I can’t recommend them enough!

We booked the band and photographer/videographer through BWK. The band was mostly good although messed up a few songs, but the photography/videography has been so terrible I would never recommend anyone work with them. They do not respond to any emails and do not hit deadlines. Their response is always “we are so busy” which I am sympathetic to, but you cannot simply ignore your clients and provide no communication. This has been consistent through the planning and post planning process. It has been such a pain I cannot WAIT to get our videos back and be done talking with them. During planning we reached out over a month before the wedding and followed up weekly to finalize the timeline and they did not respond until less than a week before and we had to change a ton. Post planning our photos were late and I had to email and text almost daily, and our video is now two weeks late with no update on when it will be done and also no follow up until I emailed and texted. Most unprofessional people I have ever worked with.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about this band! Working with them was a dream come true. Tony was incredibly organized, and having the band do MCing services as well as playing the cocktail hour and reception took pressure off of us and any of our guests to do any big announcements. Phil was incredible and helped us to relax a lot during our big day, and when he started rapping during “Crazy in Love,” our crowd lost their minds and loved every second of it. He has an amazing vocal range and we were completely blown away. Athena’s voice is so beautiful that it literally made several guests (including me) tear up. Her rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” was so lovely and powerful that having that song as our first dance didn’t even feel cliché because the band made it so unique. The instrumentalists were incredible and everyone seemed happy to be playing. Athena singing on the dance floor at the end of the night with all of us helped to make this the best wedding reception I’ve ever attended, and the band’s energy was infectious. They read the room perfectly with their song choices, and although a lot of our older guests left after dinner and before dancing really started, those who stayed for the dancing at the reception danced right up until the end of the night. Thank you so much to the Bluewater Kings for bringing the most amazing energy and talent; we were absolutely blown away and feel honored to have had you play at our wedding reception!!!

When we got engaged the one vendor everyone recommended was Bluewater Kings Band. They were right!! Owen and the crew were incredible. They had people dancing the entire night. They learned a whole new song for our first dance and absolutely crushed it. Every request we had they made happen for us, including let my dad perform with the band. The talent is just on a whole new level. People could not stop talking about how much fun they had and that wouldn’t be possible without the band. Bluewater Kings Band was the SINGLE BEST thing we did for our wedding! We have told numerous friends with upcoming weddings that a live band (but specifically BWK) was the game changer that made our wedding the most incredible party! The entire process with BWK was flawless. The planning website is comprehensive and so easy to use- every detail is accounted for. Our coordinator, Owen, was prompt in answering questions and extremely accommodating with our requests (even some last minute week of ones). We booked a 7 piece band with horns and they were ROCKING! I (the bride) seriously didn't leave the dance floor from it's opening after my father-daughter dance until 10:30pm- and that was just to pee! I had more fun than I can ever remember! The band sounded incredible, the singers were having so much fun and it was just an awesome show! Not only did they sound incredible for the dance floor, the cocktail hour quartet was beautiful and just what I wanted, and our last hour of DJ club music was so perfect. The band also kept the schedule going perfectly and made it the best night ever! Book Bluewater Kings Band- they are worth so much more than you will pay! Thank you guys- we love you!

The Blue Water Kings were an absolute blast at our September 2021 wedding at the Morton Arboretum. The BWK provided the sound system for our outdoor ceremony, and performed live during our reception. The ceremony sound was perfect, and their playing during the reception was top notch. We opted for the six piece band, and it was perfect. They respected our request for minimal MCing, and kept everyone dancing with their amazing energy, great musicianship, and a well-planned set list. Our band contact, Molly, helped us understand the various packages and was extremely responsive to our questions. Before the wedding, Molly met with us to get our music preferences. We didn’t get to choose our set list specifically, but it was better that way—they know what makes an amazing set list better than we do, and we ended up with a fantastic mix of styles. The King’s music was one of the best parts of our wedding, and I can’t thank them enough for helping make our big day so special. People have continued to rave to us after the wedding about how awesome our band was. 10/10 would recommend!

WOW! We could not have been any happier with our decision to have the Bluewater Kings Band at our wedding. It has been 3 weeks since the big day, and people are still sending us messages saying "that was the best wedding band ever!" They had all the guests, young and old, out of the dance floor the entire night. It was just awesome. Thanks Owen and all the band members who truly made it the best night of our lives.

The Bluewater Kings lit up our room! 🔥 First and foremost they were talented and created a lively experience in our venue, but their whole customer experience was professional and hospitable. They were extremely flexible when my wife and I decided to delay or wedding due to Covid concerns. They were prompt, communicative, and played their schedule exactly as advertised. They even learned some entirely new songs for us that they have never played before! And beyond that, they played “Sherry” by Franky Valli (a family favorite of ours) and crushed it even though they had never performed it live before. As good as it gets. 5/5.

They were unreal!! We had the 7-piece band play at our reception and it really got the party going. The MC and singers were great hosts. The band even let my husband play guitar with them and I sang a song. Best night ever!

BWK did an awesome job playing our October wedding!! All of the musicians and the MC were extremely energetic and engaging and kept everyone on their feet. The dance floor was hot all night and everyone had such a blast, even during the DJ breaks (during which I was worried about losing the crowd). The band/contract clearly states they won’t play everything you ask, but I was still bummed when a few of our “must plays” were missed. So if you’re a planner and have expectations for particular songs, make those clear. We also had requested our first dance song be played to match the tempo and rhythm of the original song, and not stop playing the end of the song until we go into a dip during our dance. Unfortunately the tempo didn’t match the original (was too slow), a lot of the lyrics were fumbled, and the band stopped playing before we finished dancing (which made our ending really botched and awkward). All of these things being said, probably no one noticed the flaws in the first dance except my husband and I. We previewed two other bands before landing on BWK and the other 2 were far less energetic and engaging, very much stuck-on-the-script & stagnant. If we had to do it all again, we would still go with BWK because of the energy and talent they brought - we just wish the first dance was better handled.

The Blue Water Kings were the most complimented thing about our wedding! Our guests were raving about them during the event and for days after. The musicians are so talented and the lead singer was amazing. Guests were actually bowing down to her on the dance floor. We saw a live band that we remembered as being pretty good about a week after our wedding and suddenly they sounded mediocre and we spent a good chunk of time talking about why they weren't as good as BWK, LOL. Aside from the music, the planning process was very thorough and our producer was very responsive to our specific asks - making all our special requests come true! If you are even considering a band for your wedding, go for it and for sure hire Blue Water Kings!

We felt so confident with every step of the process, which was important to us as this was our first wedding planned on both sides of the family. Every single guest commented on how amazing the band was. They were so so so nice, so professional, so good, and most of all so fun!

Worth every penny. We just had our wedding 2 days ago, and I knew I had to review BWK ASAP because they are so phenomenal. They were extremely easy to work with, and were so cooperative when we rescheduled twice due to COVID. They went over the event schedule with me in advance and got everything perfected so the actual evening went seamlessly. And most importantly, our dance floor was PACKED all night! Everyone was raving about how good the band was, and BWK knew exactly what music to play to keep the people dancing. If you are considering a wedding band instead of a DJ, book this band now! You will not regret it.

Wow y’all. We really cannot say enough about Bluewater Kings Band. We got married on Sept. 11, 2021 and they helped to make our night so very memorable. We always knew we wanted a live band, and they totally blew our expectations out of the water. We booked a cocktail hour pianist and a 5 piece band which ended up being perfect. Patrick was our MC and did an amazing job. He was so kind, laid back, organized, and really helped to make sure the night flowed really well. We love music band we love dancing. So do our families. From the time that the first dance ended until the very end of the night at 11:30 pm, the dance floor was completely packed. The band had everyone dancing and singing all night - THAT is the sign of an amazing band right there! The music they played was exactly what we wanted and they sounded better than we could’ve asked for! Since our wedding, we can’t count the number of times that our family and friends have said how much they loved the band and how great they were. If you’re looking for a live band for your wedding - this is the band for you. Just do it!! Book them!

This band made the evening at my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding! They are nothing short of spectacular. Three piece cocktail band then 11 pieces into the evening. Used their DJ service too. Who did introductions and kept the toasts moving. They gaged the crowd, their music taste and what kept them on the dance floor…we danced all night. Incredible talent, and seasoned professionals. We have a night to talk about for years.

We love Bluewater Kings so much! If you are thinking about hiring them, DO IT! They are the absolute best, we are picky about music and I was hesitant at first to give up song choices to the band...but they absolutely rocked it. The MC was truly so wonderful, made sure to follow up with me on any questions and made the night so memorable. Highly recommend the jazz trio for cocktail hour as well. Our guests were loving the band, and a few have hired the band since :) Having an experienced vendor is worth every dollar!
