In high school, Amber completed cosmetology school and obtained her license upon graduation in 2008. Over the years she continued to practice and improve her skills on family, friends and has found her true passion in styling. Feeling inspired by Brooke’s blossoming career as a makeup artist, she decided to finally pursue her career as a full-time hairstylist and work alongside her best friend. Thus, the best friend hair and makeup team, blush ‘n bangs, began. Her experience spans from bridal, runway, portraits and stylized shoots.

Another vendor secured early in the planning process. Not only did those who received HMU love the way they looked and felt, the other guests also noticed and complimented them. Amber, hairstylist, had a tight schedule to work with and she absolutely nailed it, even ending a bit early for extra time for touch-ups. She had all her tools, and even a chair, all packed together and was easily mobile for whatever setting. Since my husband was also getting his hair done she had to work to make sure him and I didn’t see each other during the process and she did this flawlessly. I gave her about 6 photos, all different, and she merged them into the most perfect style. From my husband, “Took basic instruction and made my hair look really fuckin good.” Brooke, make-up artist, worked with each of us on how we wanted to look/feel as none of us usually wear a full face of makeup. She was sanitary and had great attention to detail. She had a variety of colors to choose from and made sure each of us was comfortable with how we looked (and how our eye lashes felt). She also made sure to do our lips right at the very end so our drinks didn’t mess with it. This was the most beautiful I’ve ever felt and both hair and make-up lasted through tears, dancing, hiking, and hugs. Amber and Brooke are also just awesome people and Blush ‘n Bangs is HIGHLY recommended.

An amazing experience from start to finish. They were so good and fast day of we were even ahead of schedule! They did what each of my bridesmaids wanted and I ADORED how they did mine. I would highly recommend. Best of all, they are reasonably priced!!

I don't wear a ton of makeup and was very anxious about looking "over done" or not looking like myself on my wedding day, but Blush 'n Bangs completely eliminated that anxiety. They are so professional and easy to work with and took all my concerns into consideration. I recommend booking their trial hair/makeup too because their pre-appointment questionnaire really helped me think through my hair & makeup inspiration beforehand, so everything was smooth when I got there. They truly want to understand the look you're going for and create the best version of it possible based on your hair length/texture etc. The minor changes I wanted after my trial were implemented PERFECTLY. I felt so pretty and comfortable. They are also super friendly and felt like an extension of the bridal party. EVERYONE from my bridesmaids to my mother-in-law was happy with their hair and makeup.

Straight from the inquiry, blush 'n bangs has been an absolutely flawless beauty vendor for my wedding. I had my bridal hair and makeup done with two of their artists, and they also did the hair and makeup for my maid of honor, my bridesmaid, and my mother of the bride, as well as the hair for my groom and his best man. They are very talented, friendly artists, and I couldn't have found anyone better suited for our special day. The ladies especially got so many compliments on how beautiful they looked! Our wedding was outdoors in May, and even then, my makeup and hair stayed perfect throughout the night. We had our wedding in Temple, TX, and they were willing to travel from North Austin to come and meet us at the venue to do the hair and makeup there for a very reasonable travel fee. I would recommend them for anyone looking to have their hair or makeup professionally done!

I am not a "girly girl" or a girl who knows much about hairstyles, let alone deciding on one for such an important day, but Amber made me feel comfortable and so beautiful! I knew I wanted a half up/half down and had a few inspiration photos, and we worked together to come up with what would look and feel best. I picked Brooke and the team based solely off of reviews and they did NOT disappoint! The communication from day 1 was exceptional. I ended up doing 2 trials to be sure the look was exactly what I was expecting the day of and any changes I made were listened to and executed. As for the day of, I had a very large wedding party which consisted of 10 bridesmaids, myself, my mom and my MIL. Not only was the team able to stay on schedule, we ended up finishing early which made the hour leading up to the wedding very relaxing. All of the girls' hair and make-up looked just as perfect at the end of the night as it did when it was finished. I would definitely recommend them to any bride needing hair/make-up done in the Austin area.

Brooke and Amber were incredible and made my bridal party and me feel so beautiful. They arrived to our air bnb promptly the morning of and were organized, talented, professional, and personable! They completely gelled with my group and made the whole morning of getting ready fun and stress-free. Nhu & Jase were AMAZING. The whole process- planning, payments & trial- was super easy. Nhu listened to exactly what myself & bridal party wanted, and delivered!! Brooke and Amber from Blush ‘N Bangs were wonderful to work with through the wedding planning process. They were able to get me in for an early morning trial pre-engagement shoot and after I changed my vision closer to the wedding day, a second trial rather last minute the week before the wedding which I am very grateful for. The gals were punctual and worked efficiently together to get HMU completed for everyone on schedule. They flawlessly replicated the inspiration photos provided, asked follow-up questions, and were flexible. They made my gals and I feel very beautiful and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work with them.

EVEN MY MOM LOVED IT! My mom is rarely happy with her hair and she loved everything! She even loved her makeup. Everyone looked great! Jase and Nhu were so chill even when people were late and there were 30+ people running in and out of our AirBnB. They were so chill about making changes from my trial for my day of look. They got to my house super early at like 6:30am and had us ready in such a timely manner. So happy with their work-- they made us all look and feel amazing for wedding day!

I’ve had my hair and makeup done before but always been somewhat unhappy with the result. Too caked and/or didn’t know how to work with fine curly hair- but NOT Blush ‘n Bangs. They killed it for not only myself, but my mother, mother-in-law, and bridesmaids. We all wanted something a bit more natural for makeup, but our hair types all varied. They were able to bring our visions to a reality and we’re very easy to communicate with. Definitely book for your next event.

I enjoyed working with the Blush 'n Bangs team for my wedding hair and makeup trial and day of services. For my hair and makeup trial, Andrea and Tiffany understood my vision and made it come to life. The day of the wedding, Andrea and Tiffany arrived on time and got started on my bridesmaids hair and makeup. However, unfortunately, our second makeup artist was not on time which caused our tight schedule to run late. When the makeup artist was not at the venue at her scheduled time, I called both numbers listed for day-of concerns/issues and did not receive a response from either number. This was anxiety inducing and I felt at a loss of what to do which is not how I wanted to feel on my wedding day. Luckily, the second artist showed up although it was 15 minutes late than her scheduled time. Other than this issue, I really enjoyed working with Blush 'n Bangs and my bridesmaids and I felt beautiful on wedding day.

Brooke and Amber are incredible! We booked them a few years ago for my brother's wedding and we were so confident in their work that we booked them again for mine! They were so sweet and handled our massive wedding party and family like the pros they are. They showed up bright and early with a smile on their face and ensured we stayed on schedule without anyone feeling rushed. My hair and makeup lasted all day even with the tears and Texas rain/humidity. They understood my vision for my look and I kept saying I felt like a Disney princess when they were done haha! 10000/10 would book them again for events in the future.

These girls were amazing! Brooke was our MUA and Jax was our hair stylist. They responded very quickly to my initial inquiry and I booked my trial with them which I scheduled for the day of my engagement shoot. The glam lasted through photos in the July heat under direct sun! Come wedding day, Brooke did so good getting us all ready in great time and was so sweet making sure we looked and felt our best. Jax did amazing at hair, she was so sweet and made sure we were happy with our hair. It was sooo humid on the wedding day and all of our hair withstood! Nobody’s curls or hair went flat or frizzy! Highly recommend Blush n Bangs for the their quality of work, prices, and fun personalities! 10/10!

Brooke and Amber were the makeup and hair artists for my wedding in April. All I can say is WOW, they are truly amazing! I have never felt more beautiful! Brooke did my makeup and several of my bridesmaid's. My makeup typically needs touch ups, but not with Brooke's work. It was flawless and lasted all night, even through all the dancing! Amber's hair skills are top notch. My hair stayed in place all night and I didn't have to think twice about it. If you are on the fence, book them before it's too late. You won't regret it!

When looking for a makeup/hair artist, I wanted to find someone who knew how to work with tan skin and provide a natural look. I NEVER wear makeup and in the past as a bridesmaid, I have generally been disappointed with the work as it was always over the top and I never felt like I looked like myself. Brooke did such an amazing job listening to my requests and concerns and absolutely aced my makeup.All of our wedding party was SO happy with the work. Nobody had to secretly go touch up or remove the makeup (we’ve all been there at some point), as everyone was so pleased with her work. Amber did our hair and also did such a great job. She was so patient as I flip flopped between styles from my trial to my actual wedding day. I highly recommend Blush n Bangs for affordable and very talented makeup & hair artists!

They performed these services for 7 people and it went extremely smoothly. I had my hair and makeup done with Blush and Bangs and found them to be excellent. They were very flexible with meeting dates and since I didn’t have a wedding party let me come in for the hair and makeup day of, which I really appreciated. The makeup artist, Liz, was fantastic and understood what I wanted, even if I don’t ever wear makeup myself. Her suggestions were perfect and made my whole look really work and last all day. Josh was the hair stylist and made my hair look PERFECT. I’m so happy to have had them and loved getting my trial and day of hair done there.

I have never felt as beautiful as on my wedding day. They showed up exactly when they send they would, and were so efficient I never had to worry about running late. I would absolutely recommend them for your big day, or any other event you would want full hair and makeup. They fact that they do it all took a lot of stress off me during my planning. I am a wedding coordinator here in Austin and Blush 'N Bangs is one of my favorite hair & makeup artists to recommend and work with! When I recommend wedding vendors, it is super important to me that the vendors be willing to have a Zoom or phone call conversation to get the know the couple and see what they are looking for. Blush 'N Bangs are always willing to hop on a Zoom call and help the bride with her hair & makeup vision! Amber & Brooke are very knowledgable and honest when it comes to hair & makeup recommendations! Hiring Blush N Bangs was one of the first things I booked once we had our date set. They had done my hair & make up when I was in a wedding a few years ago and loved their work. So of course I needed them for my big day. Brooke and Amber did such an amazing job on my hair and make up. Brooke did an INCREDIBLE job for bride and bridesmaid’s makeup. I didn’t even have a bridal makeup trial beforehand, so I was happy with the results on my wedding day. Brooke matched skin tones well and was able to recreate the makeup photos my bridesmaids and I asked for. Blush n’ Bangs was good about responding to emails and being flexible when times and location changed for makeup. The only downside was the price: it was $135 for the bride and $95 per bridesmaid. As the bride, there are so many costs on the wedding day that are more expensive and it was kind of frustrating to pay $40 more than the bridesmaids when the results of our makeup and amount of time to get the makeup done was basically the same. However, the makeup was perfect so that just may be the cost of someone with experience in makeup. I would highly recommend Blush n’ Bangs if you want something natural and want to have your makeup done without a trial.

I hired Blush N' Bangs as a recommendation from a friend and I am so happy I did. The make up was flawless and my hair stayed all night, even though it was one of the hottest days in Austin in years. My mom doesn't wear much make up, but they were able to work with her and help her feel comfortable with their services! If you're a bride in the central Texas area looking for HMU, blush 'n bangs is the way to go. Amber (the owner) was incredibly flexible, especially when I had to add on a service last minute. My makeup looked flawless (thanks to makeup artist Pails!) and stayed perfect, even in 90-degree heat. I even took a nap with my makeup on (I was too exhausted to take it off after the reception!) and woke up for the after-party and IT WAS STILL FLAWLESS! I got constant compliments on my hair all night (thanks to hair artist Kristi!) and all of my bridesmaids' hair looked amazing as well--there were so many different styles and hair types! I struggled to find a hair and makeup artist for my wedding until I found blush n bangs. Their communication was great the whole time, and everything went smoothly. As someone who doesn't often get their hair and makeup done, Erin was easy to get along with and made me feel comfortable. During the trail, Erin created the look I was envisioning. Wedding Date: 4/2/22 in Wimberley, TX. Amber and Andrea were our Hair & Makeup artists, respectively, from Blush N Bangs. Brooke and Amber are the best! I had Brooke for my makeup trial and both Brooke and Amber for my bridal makeup and hair along with my bridesmaids, everything was perfect!

Great, affordable hair and makeup team. They made sure they had a timeline they could complete everybody's hair and makeup in and stayed on schedule for the big day. They were very nice and always asking for feedback through the process to make sure we were happy. I received endless compliments on my hair and makeup all throughout the day!
