BLUSH ON THE BOULEVARD

I wanted to pampered on my wedding day so I did a trial with Tara almost 9 months before my wedding thinking I was going to need to do a trial with a couple of make up artists until I found the right one. Let me just say that was not needed at all, after Tara touched my face, I never tried anyone else. It was literally perfect. She was prompt on my wedding day and even finished a little ahead of schedule. My girls looked so good and she enhanced everyone’s natural beauty without making them look unrecognizable. Literally don’t hesitate to book her you won’t regret it!

hly recommend!

Tara and her team for my wedding. The booking process was seamless and included more than enough information to feel comfortable booking all the way in North Carolina. I booked Tara without a having a bridal trial prior to - I was that confident and her work and her team. Choosing makeup was probably one of the easier decisions for me. I was reminded of that during my bridal trial. Tara and I talked like we knew each other for years, super down to Earth, honest and kind. I absolutely loved her energy. Fast forward to the day of the wedding - Tara and Darius were punctual and got right to work. Did I say I had 15 ladies total! The makeup for flawless and they moved quickly to keep us on schedule. If you're on the fence, don't be. If I had to redo my day again, I would still choose Blush on the Blvd / Tara! Thank you for making me feel like a princess. Hassan was in love.

kly and efficiently. Tara really took the time to listen to my concerns about makeup and understood what I was asking for and delivered just that! They were very patient when I was unsure, or asking for a little more of this or a little more of that (sorry about that)! Very professional and talented would definitely recommend!

TO GO!!

and she was there for my big day. In both cases, she did my makeup flawlessly!! I have never felt so beautiful and I have Tara to thank for that. She runs her business professionally and punctually. I can not say enough things to express how pleased I am with the entire experience! Ladies, I highly recommend Blush on the Blvd!

mend after such a wonderful experience. They made my wedding day even more special.

ery pleasant to work with and to be around in prepared for such a special day. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with me, my friends and family, and making my day perfect.

ed services on site (before the crack of dawn) and was so pleasant, friendly, and professional. We laughed, exchanged stories, vibed to music and had a splendid time. She beat four faces flawlessly with ease. Me and my ladies looked absolutely gorgeous. We loved her energy and will definitely book with her again 😍 Excellent job Tara 😘 Go book her !!!

r for future special occasions

I went with Tara. I appreciate her kindness and professionalism throughout process of booking and the day of service. Everything went so smooth. Thank you so much Tara for sharing your Artistry. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

dding seeing my bridesmaids, Mom, and Mother In Love light up after seeing the artistry of Tara and Genee' gave me all the feels. I HIGHLY recommend !

ight! They also knew how to work with a variety of skin types and shades. We felt SO beautiful! Tara is so sweet and professional. She is able to read the energy of the room and adjust. Her main priority was to ensure that we were all happy and satisfied, especially the bride! She made me feel comfortable and supported. I can’t wait to work with her again! I HIGHLY recommend them!

I’m truly grateful for you, you had me simply beautiful on my special day!!!!! I will most definitely be using, Blush On The Blvd again!!!!!

y planned on going to their salon for bridal make up the day of my wedding. Then my hair vendor changed a few months out so I asked if they could come to my site. I found out they refuse makeup at my site because the lighting is bad and that they were no longer offering that option. Understandable. Due to my vendor change for hair services I could not make it to their salon for my original wedding day appointment. I paid for a trial and the day of make up in full. The contract states no refunds so I asked if they could do my bridal makeup for one of my pre-wedding events instead. They were unable to accommodate that, understandable, and I received the message below. “Unfortunately, the services are for the original date booked only. We’ve actually lost out on working with other big bridal parties because we were blocked for your date.” I understand the policy is that services are for the original date booked but I’m not sure why it was necessary for you to say you missed out because of me. I’m sorry for making you lose out by booking. I have lost out as well being I paid for services I did not receive in full. I would recommend giving brides a minimum book amount if you are looking for a way to secure certain profits. I was just trying to book a makeup artist for my wedding day. I never intended to make you miss out on big wedding parties. I hope all works out well for you in the future.

ause I periodically think back to how I looked and felt on my wedding day and so much of that was because of Tara and BOTB. I am not a huge makeup wearer but I still truly never had felt and looked so amazing as I did on my wedding day. BOTB was super communicative and while there were hiccups in communication along the way, Tara and the other MUA still showed up on time, ran ahead of schedule, and made everyone look and feel amazing. My trial with Tara was so laid back and she made me feel so comfortable with not being as knowledgeable about makeup. I cannot express how excited I was to find a black-owned MUA that predominately did black and brown skin tones. Booking BOTB was one of the best decisions and I can't wait to utilize them again for another occasion.

was especially awesome. I absolutely loved my makeup, and felt heard. I felt like she was one of the bridal party because she made me feel so comfortable. I recommed Blush to anyone with an event coming up.

dding! After I went to 5 different MUAs who didn't understand the glam look I was going for, I was beyond THRILLED when Jamie did! From my very first visit, she completely understood my vision - dramatic eyes, sharp brows, strong contour - AND she color matched me perfectly even with a spray tan! I truly felt like a queen on my wedding day, and my bridesmaids looked amazing as well - we all wish Blush on the Boulevard could do our make up every day! I'm so happy I found this wonderful company and would trust them for any future special event!!

discussed all of my concerns but what was very interesting is the vibes, the good energy and just get in general. We were talking like we’ve known each other for years and we just met. She’s a true artist who’s amazing at her craft. Very professional, pays attention to detail, price affordable, business oriented, and doesn’t make you feel like you’re just another dollar. I highly recommend Blush on the BLVD for any of your beauty needs. You will never be disappointed.

were all friends conversing and having a great time. They added good enery, peace and beauty to my day. I'm truly grateful.

n, you don’t ever want to take it off. I would definitely recommend them.

onable. When I went for my bridal consultation she made me feel at home and she did an amazing job on my makeup! She also did my makeup for my bridal shower and I got so many compliments. The day of the wedding Tara showed up early. She was so sweet and everyone loved her. She is so professional, punctual, friendly, and nice. And most of all she does an amazing job on your makeup. I plan on using her for future events or when I just want to feel amazing. Thank you Tara you are the best.

onal studio.

disappointed with how beautiful you will look.

't even want to take it off when it was time to go to sleep. And Tara and Jamie arrived early and were very professional and personable. All my ladies enjoyed working with them.

y 26th. From the beginning, I was very clear that the services would only be for some of the bridesmaids as a specific artist was requested by the bride and confirmed for her plus the parents and Maids of Honor. I also provided all the information regarding location, glam schedule allowing for 45 minutes per appointment (and advised them to let me know if more time was needed), and inquired about payment options. I received a quote on 3/22. On 3/25 Tara followed up and I told her I was waiting on the bride’s approval and would confirm the quote as soon as I had the ok. On 4/25 I accepted the quote. I also sent a separate email to confirm that I had accepted the quote and also asked if there was an alternate payment method avail as to avoid the cc fee. I never received a response. On 5/14 I received an email saying “Sorry for the delay, are you still in need of an artist?” I responding saying yes and that I thought it was confirmed when I accepted the quote. I was then informed that they had just seen the email and that Tara’s plane doesn’t land until 1:30pm the day of the wedding. I was told that there was some confusion regarding her layover time but that they could provide a replacement artist. A bit disappointed but also understanding that sometimes “things happen”, I told them that we were fine with a replacement artist but that I would like for her to communicate with the other artist we confirmed to ensure that the looks are consistent. This is actually standard in the glam industry. There seemed to have been confusion because the person responding kept referring to me as the bride and saying that they typically don’t talk to the bridesmaids before the wedding at all. I reiterated that I wanted the two ARTISTS to speak and that she didn’t need to speak with the bridesmaids at all. She also said she would send over the invoice so that I could pay and secure everything. I never received an invoice. They then asked additional questions such as location, what time we needed to be ready etc, all things that were previously discussed and provided. I provided all the information again and once the representative understood that there was another artist, that’s when things got worse. She asked who the other artist was on 5/15. I responded with the artist’s name, said she’s from Chicago, and asked again if we could connect them prior to the wedding. This was the last communication I received from this place. I reached out again on 5/17 asking for the invoice, no response. I followed up again on 5/19 asking when I should expect the invoice, how to pay, when we could connect the artists, and when I could get the contact info for them to give to the wedding planner, again, no response...less than a week before the wedding! The lack of communication was extremely unprofessional. All in all, this experience was horrible and could have been much worse if I did not have clients willing to help out with the “pickle” they put us in.

y I can’t get over how amazing my makeup looked on both days, and all my bridesmaids looked amazing as well. Jaime is a rock star!

nal manner. They are very personable and the communication was great throughout the planning for my big day. I will highly recommend and will be using them again in the near future. Once again, thank you ladies for your gift.

ed and even my father thought she looked amazing! Tara is amazing and does such great work and is very professional. I would highly recommend them for any occasion.

mend! Thank you Tara & Jamie!

your makeup on your big day, but if you want amazing work and the feel of your BFF doing your makeup Blush is for you.

entire evening! The choice of an MUA for your big day is an important one, make the right decision by hiring her! Excellent service!

could tell that they enjoyed what they were doing more so than it being just a job and they were PROMPT! We were all done in plenty of time to get ready and do pictures which was most important to me. I will be booling again when I just want to get glammed up. All of the ladies are still raving about their makeup and I received sooo many compliments on my look. Best wishes!

nd gives you exactly what you want. Every time, the finish product has been completely flawless. From a night out, to my maternity shoot and soon to be my wedding, Tara takes care of all my needs. I am honored to recommend her and her services. You will NOT be disappointed!

idesmaids and Mom looked amazing too! We all have different ethnicities and skin tones. Tara was prepared and obviously has experience working with a variety of clients . I’ll absolutely have my makeup done by her for other special events in the future!

de each of my bridesmaids look breathtakingly beautiful. The compliments they each received were endless. We could not be have been more pleased with her work. She is truly talented at what she does. Thank you so much Tara!!!

to fit each of my bridesmaids personality. She took extra care with me as well and just was pleasant to have around on my special day!! She's my first choice and I'll go back to her again!

so nice without being to heavy. We got compliments all day and night (even after sweating on the dance floor!)

rtable and her studio is very serene and cozy. She made me look so natural and beautiful. On my wedding day, Tara was prompt and well prepared. There were minor issues with lighting at my church, but Tara is so gifted that she was able to adjust and find a location in the church to set up. While doing my makeup, she calmed me down and made sure I was okay. We had a great conversation---it felt like we were all family! My makeup was flawless, natural and so beautiful! Not to mention it lasted for hours! I danced the night away and there were no makeup smears anywhere! I highly recommend Tara. She's very skilled at what she does!!!

When I got engaged I knew immediately I wanted Tara to be the MUA for me and my bridal party. I booked her a year in advance because I didn't want anyone else to get my date. What I love about her make-up is that is reveals a naturally enhanced you, even with a full face done with contouring and lashes. My bridal party love their makeup. Many of them had been in other weddings recently with different MUAs and they said Tara was the best hands down. My mom and mother-in-law looked amazing and both wished Tara lived in their cities. I flew her out to Dallas and paid for her hotel for the wedding weekend because she is soooo worth it to have the naturally glam look for my wedding. I didn't feel overly made up and the products she use are not heavy. I can't wait to get back to St. Louis so she can do my make-up again!

; her professionalism, punctuality and talent is like no other. Thank you for making my wedding day a breeze. I recommended her to my friend who's wedding I am in and she will be doing our makeup for her wedding as well! I can't wait!
