and so soft and delicious and worth the price!! I have have tried so many different cakes because we have a lot of parties and did lots of tastings and nothing compares to Brandys cakes! I came not really knowing what design I wanted until I saw one of her designs and she helped me adjust it to the way I wanted it. She was so helpful and listened to what I wanted and designed the most beautiful cake! Brandy is not only talented but she puts her whole heart into what she does and it shows. There was no leftover cake and all my guests could not stop talking about how delicious the cake was! I am so blessed Brandy could make my wedding cake and blow both my husband and I out of the water with her beautiful designs and taste!

From the moment she welcomed us to her shop for our first cake tasting experience, to brainstorming together on designs, to seeing our cake on our wedding day, we were absolutely blown away! At that time, she was holding tastings in her own home, which really was a whole event complete with champagne and mini-versions of her cake flavors -- my mom and I had a blast sampling and learning about her process. We had 2 other tastings in the area, and B.Markova by FAR had the best tasting cakes. When we had to postpone our wedding and decrease the guest list because of COVID, Brandy was so supportive and ever flexible. Even though she no longer lived in New Orleans, she was wonderful enough to fly into town and make a beautiful cake and delicious assortment of pastries for our wedding day -- our guests gave them rave reviews. Throughout the entire process, Brandy was professional, highly communicative, and flexible under uncertain circumstances. It is clear that she takes so much pride in what she does, and I am ever grateful that she decided to share her amazing talents with us for our wedding day.

rt. The road to our wedding was complex. We had to deal with two postponements due to COVID and Brandy moving out of state. Despite all of that, the cake looked and TASTED amazing! e Tidewater area that you almost blink and wonder if she is real. From the first time you join her for a tasting to the moment you cut your personalized creation Brandy is a true gift. Our tasting cakes were make fresh for us, per what flavors we were interested in. We planned our wedding remotely and had been told that wedding cakes should be like this... or should be this flavor... Wrong! Brandy’s creative flavors are beyond delicious and change with the season Her workshop/ home sets the tone and makes you feel at ease. She engaged us with conversation and tea. She got to know us as a family. She partnered with me about my vision and wanted to make sure her ideas were welcomed. We worked together with out issue! She was even gracious enough to work with our florist on the flowers for the cake. She shared her vision and let them carry it out. Our wedding was beautiful and sadly I didn’t even get to see Brandy that day, but I would have gushed to her about her edible work of art! Thank you Brandy! It was beyond beautiful! Ps! Mine is the Marble beauty with the cascading white flowers!

ll candle holders and loved the idea. She had us over for a tasting and tea and her flavors were so delicious and we loved her unique flavor combinations. But even better than that, we loved the passion she has for her craft and knew that she would do great job. She did not disappoint! She made each of us a small cake that were individual in their own way for us, but complemented each other perfectly. And they were gorgeous! She got photos from our florist of the colors and flowers we were using, and all of our guests were shocked that her sugar flowers weren’t real flowers, they’re insanely beautiful! We took them home with us and can keep them as a beautiful reminder of such an incredible day. And I love that she uses natural ingredients, it really makes the flavors that much more delicious.

Her original design incorporated our theme and color scheme. Our guests raved about the colors, the fine details, and the amazing flavor. Everyone had seconds! brown butter maple pecan; and dark chocolate praline. The lavender was so subtle and refined. The basil was the perfect touch to the lemon. The brown butter and the pecans complemented each other in the BEST way possible. I don't even know what to say about dark chocolate praline, so delicious! She painstakingly covered our cake in hundreds of delicate, handmade gum paste flowers. Her fondant work was flawless. The layer of fondant over our cake was so thin, none of my guests believed the cake actually had fondant on it. My husband and I, along with all of our guests, highly recommended B.Markova Cake.

She put together multiple aspects I liked of other cakes and made it one stunning, cohesive piece. The cake was absolutely delicious, our guests raves about it. Brandy has a selection of unique flavors so that it tastes as good as it looks!
