Bob Hoffman Photography & Video

My husband and I were so excited to have Bob’s team capture our wedding event. My parents had them as photographers and videographers at their wedding as well as my grandparents’ golden anniversary. At our initial meeting with Bob and Thelma, they showed us samples of the work that the photographer assigned to us had done, took the time to get to know us, and cater to what we were looking for. Throughout the planning process, Thelma always kept an open communication with us through email. We had the pleasure of having Darryn as our photographer for our engagement session and our wedding day. We were unsure of how to pose, but he gave us clear and easy to follow directions while making us feel at ease. Our ceremony took place at our family’s church and the reception at the Japanese Friendship Garden. On our wedding day we had Monika as the second photographer, Alberto and Raphe for the videographers, and Andi for managing the photo booth. They were all a joy to work with, very clear with directions and not missing details that would affect their shots. They had wonderful suggestions for shots they wanted to capture that we did not think of. All were kind to our guests with their sudden photo requests and still able to fulfill our shot list as well. Everyone enjoyed the photo booth and when they had trouble thinking of poses he gave them fun ideas. The entirety of the team was very kind and fun to work with. Our wedding day was beautifully eternalized while keeping the solemnity of the ceremony and capturing how much fun everyone was having at the reception. We are so very happy and honored to have them for our event and hope to be able to work with them again for future big events!

I can't say enough about Bob and his lovely team! We met Bob at the Bridal Bazaar in May 2021 and we immediately fell in love with the pictures he had displayed at his booth. Adding to that, with his major experience we knew we would be in great hands on our special day! When it came to our wedding day, Bob showed up early and we even (unexpectedly) had a second photographer, which made it so much easier to capture our huge photo list. Thelma was super awesome and so informative. She answered all the questions I had via email and made me feel relaxed and ready to take pictures. I hope Bob never retires, because he is super great at what he does!!

Bob Hoffman and his team were awesome for our engagement pictures as well as for our wedding day. They were professional and fun to work with! Even when there was a scheduling issue for our engagement photos, Bob was willing to make it work with our schedule and his! Thelma is very on it with her responses, which is very appreciated. We have received the sneak peek photos so far and they are awesome! I can't wait to see the rest and the video!

We are so happy we chose Bob Hoffman Photography for our wedding! The team was great to work with during the planning stages, responding promptly to our emails and working things out over the phone when it came time to decide all the details. They made the planning process very easy. On the day of our wedding, the photographers arrived promptly and were great to work with. I’m awkward when it comes to posing for photos, but the photographers gave great direction and the pictures turned out great! The preview photos were given to us very quickly after the wedding. We are so happy with the way things turned out!

Sadly, I must say, I write this review. Bob and his staff were very nice through the entire process. However, Bob forgot to take a Bridal portrait or a Wedding Party Portrait. Bob then tried to photoshop groomsmen out of a pic so that we would have a portrait of the bride. Unfortunately, when we tried to blow it up, it became apparent it was out of focus, as was a problem with A high percentage of the photos. Some of the photos had the bride in focus, but not the groom, or vice versa rendering many photos unuseable. After 5 months of trying to salvage an album, Bob did offer an additional album and refunded about 30%. I’m not really sure what happened that day. We hired him for 10 hours plus an assistant and a lighting guy which really should have been enough time to accomplish all the traditional photos. As I said? He’s a nice man, but sadly, we’ll never have an opportunity to recapture those special moments.

Bob and his staff were beyond amazing! Before wedding day we had a few meetings and details were clear and organized. He is very talented and artistic. The day of he was well prepared with his assistant and photo examples printed out. The follow up afterwards has been quick and detailed and easy process. Thank you for everything Bob and staff!

There were so many photographers to choose from, I had visited more websites than I can count. I came across Bob Hoffman Photography. Their website and gallery were exactly the style I was going for. I think everyone tries to keep within their budget and cut corners where you can. I found that not only did they have a great gallery of past photo shoots, but the pricing was what fit my budget. We met with Rich in a private room, We saw his work and he was so great, professional and creative!! I knew then that this was our first and last stop ( when you know... You know) They also included our engagement photos which was not in their original pricing. Not to mention they gave us a bottle of my favorite champagne ever!! We had our engagement session in November, I had 3 outfit changes in mission trails. The photos Rich took of us are truly amazing, the colors the angles.. He has it down! It only reassured me that we made the best choice. I can't wait to see what he comes up with at our wedding. Look no further, you are in great hands and Will have the best photos and the best experience.

We went into our wedding knowing that the most important expense would be our photos: I won't wear the dress again, I can't eat the food again, but we will look at our photos for the rest of our lives. We had very specific requests: two photographers for at least 8 hours, editing, the ability to have legal rights to ALL of our pictures, not just the ones we purchase. We did a lot of price shopping and comparing services to price. Bob Hoffman's studio was right about on par for pricing, however we received much more than other companies: professional editing, DVD of all photos, online photo gallery, 16x20 custom framed photo, and a 12x12 - 28 page album. The wedding itself was just wonderful. They had two photographers and an assistant to be wherever they needed to be. They weren't obtrusive, they were simply there to observe. They were also VERY cool about an additional stop we wanted to make. They said "you paid for 8 hours, not a specific number of locations". We asked our photographer to come with us to the bar where we met. One photographer came with us, the other stayed with the reception. Within 4 days of the wedding, we received 10 edited photos as a sample of what they shot. This was great to share right away. They are extremely flexible with payments, including a final payment that was to be made 6 weeks after the wedding when we receive the finished goods. That final payment was especially helpful as the weeks before the wedding, we were throwing money around like crazy. Best money we spent! Thank you!

They were expensive but worth every penny!
