rofessionals...and I'm so glad I did. For any bride, a trial is absolutely necessary - please trust me! I was able to tweak small things and let the artists know how to update the look, and on the day they delivered! It was so nice to have already met and worked with them at the trial, and then I felt super comfortable on my wedding day. Both artists were incredibly warm and kind (and TALENTED!), and I would recommend them for any event where you need to look your best! Thank you to the whole team at Bobbie Pins & Blush!!

sbian couple, feel othered or like a deviation to the norm. Where possible, we especially wanted to hire other LGBTQ+ owned vendors. We knew that we would likely spend a lot of time in the morning getting ready with whoever we hired for hair and makeup, and it was important to us to feel comfortable and like we didn’t have to explain ourselves to anyone. On top of that, my wife Rainey and I both have very curly hair and a hesitancy to allow people to style/touch our hair if they aren’t familiar with how to care for it. Bobbie Pins & Blush felt like such a breath of fresh air in both celebrating who we are as a couple and delivering a final product for our hair and makeup that felt polished and authentic to ourselves.
Valerie and Candace put us immediately at ease during our trial for hair and makeup for the both of us. They both put so much time and care into hearing what we each wanted. I (Emma) wanted my hair mostly how it is naturally but pulled away from my face, and my makeup minimal and clean without being too extremely feminine. My wife (Rainey) wanted a similar hair style of polishing and styling her natural curls, as well as a more glamorous and feminine makeup look. After our hair and makeup trial, we were thrilled to work with them on our wedding day.
They provided hair and makeup for both of us brides, and either hair or makeup for all 10 of our bridesmaids and 3 additional family members. They were responsive, on time, and accommodating to all our requests. Every single person they styled left feeling beautiful and radiant.
On top of the talent and care they offered to us and our family and friends, they were overall so fun to be around. It felt like friends hanging out together, listening to our favorite music and laughing. We felt like we could be our authentic selves and in return we got to see them too. They made our morning fun and easy as we went into our wedding night.
Lastly, our hair and makeup held up beautifully through our ceremony, dinner, and most impressively a LONG night of dancing. Our hair, our makeup, and our lashes withstood hair whipping and head banging and twirling and laughing and crying with ease. We danced the night away and looked good doing it. We couldn’t have been happier with the care we received. I highly recommend Bobbie Pins & Blush for any event you may need hair and makeup services. Thank you.

Our bridal party adored them and they made the day so simple and relaxed. I was beyond impressed by how quickly they completed everyones hair and were able to achieve different looks requested by my wife and I and our bridesmaids. Booking vendors for your wedding as a queer couple can be nerve-racking so having such a loving and accepting team helping us get ready really made the day!

Nonetheless, Valerie finished on time and everyone in my bridal party was so happy with their look. She is reasonably priced too. Not using Valerie for your hair and make-up may be the biggest regret you have in your wedding planning process! 10/10 recommend using her!

for my bridesmaids, my mom and my MIL. On our first trial, Val absolutely nailed the make up, it couldn't have been more perfect! I'm one of those picky people who never wears makeup so I takes a lot for me to feel comfortable with a full face on but Val truly made that happen!
We went through a few different hair styles because I'm indecisive and couldn't make up my mind but she stuck with me through every change I made and helped me bring my ideas to life!! The day of my wedding, she showed up right on time ready to make sure everyone looked exactly how they wanted. I felt beautiful on the day of my wedding and I have her to thank for that! I still get complements on my ponytail when people look at my wedding pictures!
Also I feel like it's really important to mention that she is literally one of the funnest people to hang out with while she's getting you all glammed up. There's nothing worse than the awkward small talk when you're getting your hair done or even your make-up done but there is none of that with her! She's so funny and really makes getting ready so much fun!!

recently lost my mother 7 months before my wedding date an just couldn't pick a hair style with out crying so she asked me to look at a picture of my mom on her wedding day and told me she came up with an idea she wouldn't tell me because she wanted it to be a surprise witch was fine with me when I looked into the mirror (before doing my makeup) I cried because she did my hair the same as my mom's hair was I loved it so much I couldn't stop smiling . She knew what she was doing when she did my make up too because me personally don't wear makeup at all so she had that under control thank you . She also was fantastic with my flower girls one was 4 and the other as 5 she talked to them like they will basically her own kid she made them laugh giggle feel comfortable she made sure the looked great. But my biggest save was when I was about to enter the hall n my daughter puke all over her dress I was so upset I started crying I just honestly wanted to call my wedding off but Val on her own time told me don't worry about it I'll handle it she took my daughters dress off she went into the bathroom and he and scrubbed it for me made sure there was no stains on it at all no smell nothing she's saved my wedding day by saving my daughter's dress because I was to the point where I just want to give up and not even have a wedding she truly is the best I am so thankful that she was the person to do my hair because I guarantee probably no one else would have done the stuff that she did she went out of her way thank you
