wanted music to be a really important part of our wedding and set a romantic, comfortable tone. Bobby really listened to our vision and was always so fast to respond to emails whenever I had an idea. He had great suggestions that helped make the wedding even more special and personal. He sang before the ceremony, during the ceremony and during cocktail hour -- and he even sang our first dance song which was so meaningful and special. It blew us away and we couldn't have been happier. It was so heartfelt and real. He also met with us in person to discuss our vision and when we mentioned the idea of incorporating a children's choir into the ceremony, he didn't hesitate to work through the plans with us and rehearse with the kids (who were also fantastic and helped make our day incredible). He is such a sweet guy and a talented musician and I am so grateful he played such an important role in our big day! I can't wait to see him perform again soon.

He worked very well with our DJ which made things very easy on me as I didn't have to worry about them one bit!

I hired Bobby Jo Valentine of Petaluma, CA. to perform at this event as my gift. Bobby's presence was the cherry on top of the milkshake, the icing on the cupcake. Live guitar music at always special, memorable. ( I overheard someone in the audience saying that having this guitarist at the event was as good as hearing Elvis. ) I very much recommend this talented man and his romantic music, smooth voice to your ANYTHING AT ALL, but especially do I recommend BJV to your Wedding / Reception music / entertainment. How neat it is that my two Newly Weds had this presence on their special day... AND... that they can relive this memory by going to see Mr. Valentine perform locally !! He also played at the brunch that followed. He was so heartfelt in playing his music, I thought surely he must know the bride and groom personally. I later asked them how they knew him, and found out they hired him for the wedding. I thought he surely must have been a close friend of theirs, (to sing so meaningfully and travel from out of town) but it turns out he is just an extremely talented and professional musician! Listen to his music and hire him for you wedding. He will not disappoint!

Sure, we had a list of iconic moments to rest on, the Top of the Mark at the InterContinental, the Swedenborgian Church, hand hewn from trees felled on the property before Pacific Heights was "Pacific Heights". To "Marry" the day, the other groom was surprised and with the rest of the congregation and overwhelmed by the voice of Bobby Jo Valentine, beginning at the perfect moment, voice softly filling the historic space, as tears of joy and thanks washed over the room. It was the capper; and perfect. Bobby Jo continued in the gardens with a brief and heartwarming set as our guests chatted and sipped Robert Mondavi Fume Blanc with Margrit Mondavi before boarding the Google busses to dinner high atop Nob Hill. We highly recommend Bobby Jo Valentine, he has a wonderful presence, engaging personality, super hansom (and that matters), and a breath of his own music, and favorites to keep with your day. The church, our wedding planners, and we who engaged his services agree that Bobby Jo surpassed our expectations... that's saying something. Joel ps- he arrived early, played well with others, and was professional.

He performed songs from his collection, and from our request, spinning new takes on old favorites, performing a version of Good Times that blew away the original. He took requests and even managed to perform "I Wanna Dance with Somebody". He was a joy to work with, and an absolutely essential part of making our wedding day perfect.
