, romantic ... a little bit of a fairy tale! They did some upgrades after we booked that really brightened up the place - redoing the floors, painting the lobby a gorgeous blue. Shea, the venue coordinator, was incredibly helpful and kind; she was so responsive to every question we had over the year of planning - and there were a LOT of questions... thanks Shea!! We added on the gazebo and the indoor and outdoor lighting package ... it did make it more expensive, but getting married on a Friday counteracted some of that added cost and the lighting was beautifully done, it added a soft, cozy glow to the evening. The main room and patio fit our 102 guests comfortably for the ceremony and reception. The dressing rooms were lovely and well-equipped, and everything flowed really seamlessly from the ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to dancing. It was honestly a dream venue and we couldn't be happier we chose it! If you're looking for a gorgeous Colorado mountain venue with phenomenal staff - and prices definitely lower than some other ritzy mountain venues - this is the venue for you!

t was exactly what we wanted for our wedding in the mountains and was the perfect size for our wedding of about 70 people. We highly recommend Boettcher Mansion if you're looking for that mountainy Colorado feel.

My only suggestion to couples.. do not let your guests rely on Ubers/Lyfts for the ride home. Many of our guests had Ubers cancelled and pick up people at a Red Rocks concert instead!

aking views outside. We had a 105 person wedding and we could have fit more people if needed, but that number felt perfect for our day. Working with Shea for the logistics leading up to the wedding and Laura the day of the wedding, we knew that we were in good hands. They answered any questions we had and were so accommodating as we had to change our date twice thanks to Covid. If you're looking for a fantastic venue for your wedding, definitely choose Boettcher Mansion.

l was said and done. Giving a 4 star instead of a 3 because our guests loved it. Pros: Megan and Shea were extremely responsive throughout the whole process. This is relieving given how stressful weddings can be. It's a stunning venue for a smaller wedding. Boettcher Mansion really encompasses the Colorado feel. Our guests raved about the views and we were able to get some amazing photos out of it. They have a storage unit on site so you can store your decorations, rentals, etc. It was really helpful! Their recommended vendors are amazing! For catering we went with Relish and the food was to die for. Cons: -You will be charged for every little thing. Here's a quick breakdown: $500 to set up bistro lights outside, $500 to set up bistro lights inside. (This fee is optional. If we could go back, we would have only paid for bistro lights outside. Also, you will be charged these prices even if the lights were already set up the night before for another wedding.). If you want to extend your party time by an hour: $500. The initial cost doesn't include ALL of the venue, which means another small wedding can be there. To rent out the other small buildings at Boettcher Mansion they charge $400. They will charge $100 for the 1 hour rehearsal at the venue. Rehearsal is necessary at the venue due to the layout and to make sure the party knows what to do. Our catering left 17 minutes late and we were charged $125. (We will also be reaching out to catering to see what happened, but believe this cost is outrageous.) Ubers are very scarce in this area (this is, of course, is not the venue's fault), but you will need guests to either drive or plan for transportation. ~$800-$3,000 for shuttles. The lady managing the venue the night of the wedding was anxious and added unneeded stress throughout the night. Maybe arrange a time to meet with the manager of the night to set good expectations and so you know what/who you'll be working with. If you want a wedding coordinator you will need to hire a third party since it is not provided by the venue. If you hold both your ceremony and reception here, there is not nearly enough time to squeeze everything in. For the package we bought, the earliest vendors could set up was 5pm. We paid for the extra hour ($500) and still felt rushed getting kicked out at 11pm. We had 107 guests and it was a pretty tight fit! I'd recommend hosting about 80 people here tops.

or to our date the venue cancelled on us! We reached out to Boettcher as we had really liked them when we were first checking out venues, but our plans were very different and the only thing they didn’t have that we wanted was lodging for our guests. With the restrictions and changes that were being put in place, our plans changed and we were scrambling to figure it all out. When we reached out to Boettcher, we got a quick response from Shea and found out that our date was shockingly still available! The process was smooth and the staff was very helpful and accommodating as we made all of the pivots and changes to things that we had planned. By the time our date rolled around, it felt like this was the plan all along. Kimberly was our day of contact and she did an AMAZING job with helping the day go off without issue. Our pictures were beautiful, our guests were happy, and we can’t even imagine our special day taking place anywhere else. It all felt so meant to be that we couldn’t have been happier with it all. Thank you to the incredible work of the staff at Boettcher Mansion for all that you did to help our dreams come true.

ad about 70 people at our wedding and wanted the ceremony outside with an indoor dinner and reception. Boettcher was perfect for this set up. Our wedding was in late October so the weather was unpredictable but ended up being beautiful outside for the ceremony. We had our cocktail hour out in the front of the house but you could also fit our number inside for cocktail hour. The venue, located on Lookout Mountain, has a number of outdoor locations for beautiful scenic photos -- with family/wedding party or just portraits. They let you bring in your own food and alcohol so we saved a ton on that. The home has beautiful, perfect "getting ready suites" for both the bridal and groom's parties. They allowed us to be on the property 3 hours early which I loved because we had a relaxing time getting ready and were able to complete photos before the ceremony. I think the Mansion is a little pricey but not too unusual for mountain view venues in the area. The coordinators at the Mansion were very helpful, and we had a full walk through with our caterer about 2 weeks beforehand which was nice. Overall -- if you want a romantic, intimate, scenic and beautiful venue, it is an amazing option!

r something romantic, quaint, intimate and sweet.. this is the place for you. The place basically decorates itself with its beautiful outdoor patio and the fireside room is magical. The staff is so helpful and all the vendors they are connected with are AMAZING. I am so happy that we will always get to come back to this place and remember the best day of our lives was at this beautiful mansion!

We immediately decided that Boettcher was where we wanted to get married and celebrate with all of our friends and family. We loved the historic look of the 100+ year old building with its stone and wood architecture, gorgeous panoramic views, and surrounding forest backdrops. Not only was the venue itself breathtaking, but the staff was incredible as well. They worked hard to connect us with all the vendors we needed and to ensure our Big Day was planned to be as amazing as we envisioned. Shea helped us through all the steps of planning with an expertise that made us feel at ease with the daunting task of a Wedding. Sandy directed everything at our event and ensured we were on schedule and got things done properly throughout the evening. All in all, Boettcher Mansion is an excellent choice of venue if you are looking for a gorgeous location with a rich Colorado history.

reutzer and Shea Carlson were unbelievably helpful throughout our planning process. They answered the billion crazy questions I asked in a timely manner and always made me feel extremely special along the way. Unfortunately, the gal we had the actual night of our wedding (Liz) left a bitter taste in our mouths. She was extremely rude to several of our guests and was visibly stressed out the entire evening. I went out to ask if she could turn the heat down in our bridal suite (it was HOT) and she bit my head off. We were bummed that we had to deal with that on our special day.

s organized and responsive during the reservation process. Our wedding was the end of October and we had about 65 guests, which seemed perfect for the mansion. Luckily the weather was amazing and our ceremony and cocktail hour were able to be outside with the reception in the fireside room. It was a magical night!

that look like we drove for hours. They don't have a liquor license so we bought our alcohol at Costco. That is a game changer with savings. We rented the whole facility so it was more money than we planned on spending. They have a lot of packages for any budget. The staff was easy to work with. The venue comes with tables and that is it so you can get creative with vendors. We used pines catering (must have!), little man ice cream, Ken Hiatt for the DJ, Kimball Florist and Tandem Events for planning. We had a guest count of about 150 for a sit down dinner. Because our count was high, we had people eat inside and outside. It worked out great! Granted, the weather was 73 degrees and sunny. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue!

city. It's actually an historic house, once owned by the Boettcher family. A lot of venues seemed like they were manufactured to create a certain vibe or feeling and it rang hollow to me. The Boettcher Mansion, on the other hand, felt like I was at someone's grand house. Wonderful! The one con is that it is owned by the county so there are some service and other issues. Example: The person we worked with was only there three days a week; toward the end we needed some immediate responses, but had to wait several days. Also, they have some restrictions on liquor. We did ours on a Friday, which significantly cut down on the cost.

ze to work with! The venue is gorgeous and we had numerous compliments from guests on the choice of venue on the day of our wedding and for months following. One of the nice things about Boettcher Mansion, is that it did not need excessive decoration; we were able to use minimal flowers and décor to enhance the beauty of the Boettcher Mansion and its surroundings.

rfect because it is already so gorgeous there we kept our personal decor (mostly diy) to a minimum and everything still looked amazing. We opted to not do the bistro lights ($500 to hang some lights is insane) and I'm glad we did. Too much decoration would certainly detract from the space. Megan was very easy to work with and was always quick to respond with my many questions, concerns, and changes. The only down side to this venue is that it is a government owned building so there are a lot of rules and regulations and hoops to jump through. If you have a normal m-f job like we do expect to have to take at least a couple of days off to tour the facility, have your walk through, and rehearsal. You also almost have to hire a coordinator to be your mandatory 'Client Representative' responsible for vendor coordination and to make sure everything is cleaned at the end. We went with a food truck instead of a traditional caterer and thus did not have an assigned clean up crew other then our friends and family who volunteered. This seemed to make the staff at the Mansion rather nervous and my parents said that one of the staff members was getting pretty snarky towards the end of the night. At the end of the day we got our full deposit back and had a beautiful wedding and that's all that matters. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Other then that everything was beautiful! They also have a storage unit you have available for a week, so you are able to start bringing things to the venue early. And are also able to pick up anything left behind the next day as well.

Our guests commented quite a bit on how lovely the mansion was maintained and the attention paid to detail. Our caterer mentioned how nice and well appointed the kitchen was and how much they liked working from it. The price was a little steep but the value was definitely there for what we paid for. I gave them a 4 star for flexibility simply as they have a set list of caterers to use at the venue, but overall we couldn't have been happier with the setting and location!

t of the guests were able to stay outside. The downside was the bees. One guest was stung in the eye. Staffing at Boettcher also makes it very difficult to hold a wedding there. Hours are very limited to visit the mansion. They also canceled our rehearsal about a week before the wedding due to a scheduling conflict that they had double booked.

We are both colorado natives but we are a military family and will be leaving our home state next month. We were thrilled to have our wedding in a location that showcased our state's natural beauty without the expense of some of the resort towns deeper into the Rockies. The staff was kind and accommodating, and the venue was perfect. The kitchen is huge and the ample space to get ready was perfect for pictures and hanging out on our big day. We loved having our wedding at Boettcher!

My husband and I were hoping some deer would show up for the guests,but instead we got a young black bear bless the wedding before the ceremony!! From the moment we arrived to the venue until we got on our shuttle at midnight, everything was perfect. A day I will never forget for the rest of my life!

there is a hiking trail just behind the patio so were a couple of non guests walking near by.. not close enough to where they are in pictures but it couldve happened. The wedding was early enough that deer were also near by. (Careful on the roads) The morning was a great time and it was perfect for 100 ppl.
