Founder of Boho Bridal, Sally Monterrosa, is well known for her beautiful Bridal hair in the NYC area and is delighted to expand her love for bridal to her Montclair & Asbury Park, New Jersey hair salons. On wedding day, I was worried a tropical storm would cause my half up/half down hair to be frizzy, however that was not the case! I called several times, responded to several text notifications, emailed, and even messaged them on Instagram before someone contacted me to reschedule. I went to my trial and it went well, the stylist was able to execute what I was looking for and when I asked what next steps were - she said the salon would reach out. That was over a month ago and I haven’t received any communication from them since… I’ve reached out to no avail. I had complete confidence in her and on my wedding day, she knocked it out of the park. It felt like we were being treated as humans, not a business transaction, which was so important.
And, of course, the most kudos goes to my incredible stylist, Gabby. She created such a warm environment during my trial, talking through various options and styles. And then, on the day of the wedding, she put me at ease and was a welcome addition to our bustling room of ladies. My hair ended up looking absolutely perfect — I felt like a movie star, all thanks to her.

Weeks go by and I finally get an email from the bridal coordinator asking if I would like to book with Meghan, and I reply yes please send over the contract/next steps. A few minutes later they send me another email apologizing saying Meghan was no longer available for my date and offered a different stylist and trial for another $150. I was so disappointed with the lack of communication and wasted time and money. If you're thinking about booking this salon, make sure you move quickly and be proactive.

Unfortunately, the curls in my hair didn’t last very well and it did not feel quite as secure as it had in the trial. I was impressed by their professionalism and kindness.
