BOK provided the music for our wedding, both live piano and DJs for the reception. We had a wonderful time, as did all of our family and friends. They won't stop talking about what a great experience the evening was. Brendan and Lotte were perfect in their choices of music. I had multiple people tell me it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to, and that was in large part because of how much fun the music and dancing was. One of the kitchen staff came out at the end of the night to tell me the staff had also loved the music and they had been dancing in the kitchen as they worked. I really appreciated that they listened to us to get the music choices that we felt strongly about right, and then decided and executed everything else on their own, expertly. That worked very well with our style to stay mostly hands off, and we are very glad we put our trust in them. In general it was a pleasure working with a DJ with good taste, plenty of recommendations, real musical experience, and who is very well organized. Brendan's piano playing during the cocktail hour sounded great. It was chilly that day and I really appreciate that he bore the cold. I also thought the lighting recommendations were perfect - fun and tasteful. We went with two movers.

I am so happy we went with Brendan for our wedding. From our first conversation through the wedding reception, he was professional, responsive, organized and thoughtful. For the reception, we originally wanted a mix of old school and modern music, but when we saw that the older school music was a much bigger hit with the crowd, he immediately played to that and got everyone on the dance floor. We had a trio play the ceremony and cocktail party, and it was so lovely. Everything was perfect.

BOK did an excellent job at our wedding. Brendan really goes above and beyond to make your day special. He played beautiful piano music at our cocktail hour and did a really great job combining both Latin and American music at our muti-cultural wedding and got everyone dancing. During the reception he even came up to us a few times and asked us if we needed anything and brought us water. He is very nice and easy to talk to, and his organized BOK doc really made planning our event easy.

The musicians were very easy to work with and have a large collection of music from which to choose. We asked them to play a certain style and had a couple of requests, and they were able to play them all throughout the night. They were very punctual and respectful throughout the evening. Would highly recommend them.

BOK Music was awesome to work with - right from the start! We had very specific music selections/timing and Brendan and his team were SPOT on! They even played a song at the exact moment so I could dance with my daughter, (which was unplanned) but turned into a beautiful family memory. Brendan is fantastic in every way! He provided us with a PA system for the reception, live music for the cocktail hour, MC, and DJ. Brendan is incredibly professional and will go the extra mile to work with you to make your day special. He has a great system (the BOK Doc) to make sure that all your sound and music needs are met and is always willing to get on the phone and talk things through. He knew our venue well and was honest about what was needed in terms of setup and personnel. I also asked him to accompany me on piano in a performance for my new bride; Brendan not only said yes, but practiced with me over the phone before the big day! BOK Music was so fantastic! We got married at the Wainwright House in Rye, NY. Our ceremony was outside, with dinner and dancing inside. Brendan and his team had everything wired just right for us. Everyone could easily hear our officiant outside, and the music inside was in all the right places. Wainwright is an old house with lots of rooms and BOK Music had everything set up perfectly. As a bonus, we were able to book with Brendan who is a pianist. He played music before and during the ceremony and even learned custom versions of pop songs for us ("Love me like you do" by Ellie Goulding, "Marry you" by Bruno Mars, and "Somebody to Love" by Queen") and did such a beautiful job! The piano was perfect. DJ Ais dj'd for us during the cocktail hour and reception, with Brendan emcee-ing, and he also did a fantastic job. He did a great job of prioritizing the huge list of songs we put together and all of our guests had a wonderful time. I can't thank BOK Music enough - they made our big day extra special!!

One of the best choices we made for our wedding day! Brendan is a seasoned expert who went over and beyond to make our wedding so wonderful. From the moment we started working with Brendan, he responded to our emails within minutes and made the process of setting everything up so so easy with his famous "BOK doc." This Google doc allowed us to efficiently enter all of our information to make sure the music at our wedding exactly what we were looking for. Brendan also played keyboard during our ceremony and cocktail hour, which was so lovely. Aside from the great music and ability to get people on the dance floor, Brendan did everything in his power to make the party a fantastic one. From handing out flip flops and favors, to bringing around the guest book, he was an invaluable asset to our wedding team. To top it off, there was a car accident that knocked out power to the entire town, including our wedding venue. However, Brendan was so prepared that he used a battery powered speaker and blue tooth to keep the party going. We literally didn't miss a beat because of his preparedness. Do not hesitate to hire Brendan and his team right away!

Brendan was awesome!!! He was so organized and had everything under control that I didn't have to worry about a thing. He was low-key--unlike most other DJs I've ever seen--which is exactly what I was looking for. I asked that the music not be too loud (because nobody likes to lose hearing or have to scream to be heard), and the volume was perfect. I got SO many compliments about that! We were so pleased we chose Brendan to do the music for our wedding. At the cocktail hour he played an electric keyboard outside and it was a lovely accompaniment whilst everyone was busy greeting each other. Hired Brendan for playing piano during ceremony and cocktail hour. He was very professional and helpful in deciding details like processional/recessional music. Brendan maintained outstanding communication, has professional, but warm demeanor. He was very flexible in meeting our needs, such as rehearsing and playing accompaniment for a friend who offered to sing at the wedding, and giving us advice on use of venue’s speakers. His selections of music for the cocktail hour were great, very tasteful. He has a super beginner friendly spreadsheet for planing music/MC shcedules, and a great website with many choices of music. Was a very positive experience, will highly recommend.

Brendan and his team were definitely a part of making my wedding this weekend an actual dream come true. Brendan throughout the planning process was patient with my numerous questions and concerns, even when I went back and forth about timing etc he was always helpful and informative. His BOK doc made it easy for me to select all of the songs I wanted and specify the times I wanted them played. His DJ and MC team came on time and it was exactly like I pictured it. I'm so glad we hired Brendan for our wedding -- he provided music for the ceremony (organ), cocktail hour (piano) and reception (DJ), and it all went beautifully. We hired Brendan to DJ our wedding and it was the best decision we made! I am extremely detail oriented. I knew I needed a DJ that could follow my plan for the reception from dinner to dancing. Brendan did exactly that. He kept the evening running smoothly with the schedule I provided and allowed us to choose all the music! He uses a Bok Doc- a google doc in which you can provide all the music you want played as well as any other details. I used it throughout planning and Brendan followed it down to the last detail. I hired BOK Music for my October brunch wedding. My venue was unique in its layout as well as time of day, which made me a little nervous about how people were going to dance. However, Brendan did a wonderful job getting people on the dance floor! Brendan also plays piano, which was perfect along with the saxophonist at our cocktail hour. We could not have been happier with BOK! We initially chose them because we were able to book both live musicians and DJs through the one company, and because they got such great reviews. We were not disappointed. Brendan took the time to speak with my husband personally about his music preferences in order to recommend the right number of musicians and type of instruments for our ceremony, and to determine what type of music should be played at the cocktail hour. He was patient and diligent in listening to our requests and making them a reality. I particularly loved the BOK-DOC, where we kept all of our requests in one place. We had some very specific directions (eg. stop the first dance after the big dip), and everything went perfectly. I highly recommend BOK!

We hired BOK to dj our wedding. Working with Brendan was a pleasure. He was highly responsive and open to the type of music that my husband and I were interested in. He kept an online document that we updated with important details and music that we absolutely wanted and those that we did not want too. That was such a great way to communicate! The music was so appropriate depending on the mood and what was going on at the reception. My husband and I couldn't stop dancing! Highly recommend!

Brendan was excellent, the guitarist he provided for the ceremony and cocktail hour was excellent and the BOK Doc that he provided us to work with before the wedding really made planning the music for our wedding very easy and stress free.

I hired BOK for my wedding in Long Island Sept 6th 2015. Of all the vendors with an ensemble and DJ I was most with impressed BOK and their price was most competitive. We had musicians play classical music for the ceremony and early 20th century classics for the cocktail hour. The musicians were great. The DJ and MC were very good too. Only when food was being served did people stop dancing. Otherwise, people were almost always on the dance floor. My only critique was that not all songs in the spreadsheet "the bok doc" were played but most were.

My husband and I used Brendan's services for live ceremony music, to DJ during our reception, and to set up up-lighting at our venue. We could not have been more pleased with the quality of his service for each piece. We did not want to hire a band to play at our wedding, however, it was such a nice touch to be able to have some live instruments playing during our ceremony and our cocktail hour (we had a keyboard and flute during the ceremony and saxophone during the cocktail hour). We got SO many comments on how lovely our ceremony was. We got rained out halfway during our cocktail hour, so the reception started a bit earlier than expected, but Brendan and his assistant did not miss a beat. They started playing music immediately and our guests were dancing non stop from 7:30PM straight until midnight when the ceremony ended. We got so much feedback from our guests on how they had never danced so much at a wedding before dinner was even served, and how the momentum went non stop until the end. We were even told by many people that it was the most fun wedding they've ever been to! That could not have happened without Brendan. I also want to note that it was very easy working with him in the planning stages, he has a great Google document that he shares with you which makes it very easy and very clear to plan out all of the different types of music and announcements you want to make at your wedding. Highly recommend - you won't be disappointed!

Both of us are big music nerds, so we had a very specific vision, and BOK Music absolutely nailed it. Brendan was great to work with throughout the whole process and it was easy to communicate with him using the "BOK doc". We found him to be highly organized and because of that he helped guide us through all the tough decisions, some of which we didn't even think of. Boy are we glad he did! Because of BOK Music every moment of our wedding had just the right music to accompany it. They did a great job of playing the right music at the right time, the dance floor was full the entire night. We could not recommend BOK Music any higher.

Brendan and his assistant did the most amazing job for my wedding. We had him do the music for our ceremony (play songs for guests upon arrival+play a few selected songs for the bridal party to walk), then he played piano in the bar for our cocktail hour (show tunes!! our guests LOVED it), and then he DJ'd for our reception. I don't think a single person was sitting down! Within minutes my dad had his shirt untucked and was boogie'n down! I was so sad the night was over because I never wanted all the dancing to end. He knew exactly how to keep my wedding flowing perfectly, kept to my must/do not play list, and used great judgement on the requests coming from guests. We also got our lighting from Brendan and it really amped up the atmosphere! We are coming up on a year now this Oct and everyone is still talking about what an awesome dance party we had! I recommend Brendan to everyone!

We had our wedding on September 6th at the Crabtree Kittle House. Brendan and his team were amazing to work with from the get-go. We requested Brendan himself to DJ as we also wanted a pianist for our cocktail reception. Brendan comes with so much experience and is so collaborative. His willingness to work with us and brainstorm ideas really helped us achieve the feel we wanted for our wedding. We literally had issues making the rounds to thank everyone for coming because everyone was on the dance floor - even my 92 year old Aunt!!!! BOK provided the music for our wedding last week. Brendan played piano for the ceremony and cocktail hour and then he and Lotta Bidstrup dj'd for the reception. He is a rather gifted pianist. The music was beautiful. At the reception, our guests were dancing from the moment the music started till the very last dance of the night. Brendan carefully went over all the details with us beforehand and worked very hard to make sure the music suited our personalities and tastes. He kept a spreadsheet that we helped fill out, so that he would know the names of all the wedding party, who was giving speeches, special requests and more. Both dj's made sure our wedding was a fun party, in addition to a wonderful event!

In choosing a DJ for our wedding, my husband and I were looking for someone who could MC the event and play great music without being that horrific, cheesy wedding DJ you see so often. BOK Music was a great choice. Brendan made the whole process painless capturing all of the details (dances, speeches, announcements etc.) well in advance of our big day to make sure we were both prepared, which helped us cross an item off the growing wedding list. My overall experience with Brendan was very positive. Loved that he allowed me to use my iPod for dinner music and that I got to select the dance music. Was totally caught off guard when he started playing the 1st dance without an announcement. There were a few songs during the dance bit that I didn't request at all and was a little disappointed he didn't play the indie rock songs from my list. As for wedding DJ's, he's definitely better than most.

Brendan did an amazing job at our wedding! He listened to everything we told him about what we did/did not want played. The dance floor was full the entire night!

Brendan is extremely talented. He knows his music. Because of his knowledge of music he was able to determine the perfect musicians. He played the piano.
