DO NOT USE THEM!!! I booked them only because my sister used them 5 years before I got married and they did a good job. They did not respond to an email after getting their deposit...
until about a month away from my wedding. I was trying to schedule a trial, but they were too busy. I told my girlfriends I would pay for everyone on the wedding day and tip in full and they could pay me back. There was some confusion and a couple girls paid in full and tipped Amber on top of it. I didn’t see it happen. Then when I went to pay in full I was charged the full price. She did not deduct 2/3 services already paid for! I gave amber many attempts and emailed her along with my mom, my sister, my mother in law and friends. We were very nice about the situation and explained the “miscommunication and breakdown” (aka she took my money and ran) and asked for her to send a receipt. A SIMPLE receipt. I got married on October 4th, have sent many many emails nicely to them and here I am 5 months later still livid with Amber. We eventually had to call the credit card company we used for partial payment (which was not enough) and reported FRAUDULENT CHARGES on the transaction. It was given back
To us and never reversed back to amber. Do not use them unless you want to be taken advantage of on your wedding day.
PLEASE listen to the critical reviews and book someone else! Customer service is lousy. Difficult to get in touch with them throughout the planning process. When I cancelled servic...
es that I had already paid in full, they initially tried denying the change to services until I pointed out that I was allowed to change services based on our contract. They admitted they needed to change their contract, then they dragged their feet in sending a refund. When they finally did, they only sent a partial refund and did not refund in full. Cannot recommend them.
I got married in Duck, NC on May 26, 2019. I do not live locally, so I relied heavily on the reviews I could find online to select quite a few of my vendors, including Bombshells S...

As with anyone or any business there are always a review or two that aren't 5 stars, but nevertheless I felt that Bombshells was the right decision for my big day, and I couldn't be happier with my decision.
I opted to do a trial for both my hair and makeup which required an additional trip to OBX, but I timed it with our tasting at our venue so it wasn't such a long drive for one appointment, and it was a great decision. Doing the trial allowed me to get a feel for exactly what I wanted, and made for SUCH a smooth day-of for my wedding hair and make-up. My hair and make-up, as well as my bridesmaids, was phenomenal throughout the entire day. Our make-up and hair stayed with us through the sweat and heat of the day, well into the night and we all continuously received compliments.
I highly recommend Bombshells for your big day! You won't be disappointed.
This was the most amazing hair and makeup team to work with for my wedding! Living in CT and finding vendors in NC was a challenge and a little nerve racking, but Amber was awesom...
e to work with. I had to change my bridal party a few times and she was very easy to communicate with and adjust. We did a trial and she remembered the things that I was most concerned about when doing my hair on the big day and it came out amazing!! Sandra might just be the most amazing makeup artist I have ever worked with my makeup was flawless and stayed all night! You won’t be disappointed if you hire this A+ team.
I hired Bombshells Studio in November of 2017 for my wedding in June of 2018. My sister in law had used her services for her wedding in the OBX and she was responsive in the beginn...
ing, however, things dramatically changed as my wedding in her closer. I began reaching out to Amber in early May to finalize details such as totals for hair and make up, my wedding time, what time she would be there, etc. From The beginning of May until 2 days before my wedding, Amber had only called me back 1 time. I called, sent emails, text messages, Facebook messages, etc. with NO RESPONSE. I finally text her 3 days before my wedding asking her to please just let me know if she was going to show up because I was highly upset that I did not know the status of hair and make up for my wedding. She finally responded to that text saying she was working a wedding and would call me later. I did speak with her later, but never did I receive an apology or an explanation as to why she had been MIA for so many weeks. It was 3 days before my wedding and she did not even know what time was wedding was at. Another make up artist came the day of the wedding and her work was great and she was super sweet. However, the stress of trying to get in touch with Amber trumps the great services received by her staff. I would not recommend her to another bride.
Sandra and Rachel worked with my girls and I on our wedding day. I did not do a trial, so I was a bit nervous, but they were amazing. Sandra did my makeup, and a few of the other ...
girls hair. Rachel did my hair and the rest of the girls hair as well. Everyone looked fabulous! They ran a bit behind schedule, but that was mostly our fault as we asked them to curl on of the grandmas hair last minute (which they kindly did).
For my hair and makeup trial, I had a wonderful experience working with both Amber and Sandra. I don't know much in the way of hair/makeup, but this did not deter these two! I wa...
s so excited and pleased with what they came up with at the trial for me! They took lots of pictures to ensure that they would be able to recreate the same look on my wedding day.
Now, before the wedding I found out that someone else would be doing my hair other than Amber, but that they had sent the photos over to her. This was all stated in our contract and I agreed to this. However, when I sat down on the morning of my wedding to have my hair done by the other stylist, she informed me that she had never received any photos. I only had two photos on my phone, which she did not seem very interested in looking at. I tried to explain what the hair style had looked like in the trial to her, but what she ended up doing was not what I had envisioned. It looked fine, but it paled in comparison to what Amber had done at the trial. This is why I am giving them only 2 stars because what was the point of paying for a trial and it is disappointing that they did not come prepared to do my hair.
On the other hand, Sandra did both my trial run and day of makeup and I would hands down give 5 stars to her. I never wear makeup, and she created a beautiful pallet for me to rock that day! She did an amazing job bringing out my eyes and creating some luscious lashes for me. Thank you Sandra for saving the day!
They did a perfect job on my hair and make-up, and they made sure all my bridesmaids looked gorgeous, too! They're the best!!
Bombshells Studio did such a beautiful job with hair and makeup for my girls on 9/13/2016. We had a large group so it made the most sense for them to come to us. The team was so ...
accommodating for myself, my six bridesmaids, two flower girls, and the mothers. Everyone's hair turned out just how we wanted and the hair and makeup really held up (even through the intense dance party at the reception!).
Planning a wedding from a distance with no hair and make-up trial run is a bit stressful, but I was beyond impressed with Bombshell's Studio, and a thank you hardly seems adequate ...
to express my gratitude for making me and my bridal party feel and look stunning on the day of my wedding. Shannon and Megan arrived early, were friendly and personable, executed ahead of schedule and both are artists at what they do – each girl’s hair and make-up uniquely perfect for them. Megan, I rocked those fake eye lashes all night and LOVED them! We will not only think of you all fondly and often as we remember our wedding day, but we will highly recommend you to anyone and everyone. Thank you again so, so much for everything.
Bombshells Studio did my bridesmaids, family, and my hair and make-up for my wedding this past May. They traveled to me which made everything really easy for getting ready. Everyon...

tant since you spend the day with them) and did a fantastic job and the whole wedding party including kids. I cannot say enough about the fabulous work they did. They did updo's, long curls, straight hair, eyelashes, tattoo coverups, and best of all my hair lasted all night!
