DO NOT USE THEM!!! I booked them only because my sister used them 5 years before I got married and they did a good job. They did not respond to an email after getting their deposit...
until about a month away from my wedding. I was trying to schedule a trial, but they were too busy. I told my girlfriends I would pay for everyone on the wedding day and tip in full and they could pay me back. There was some confusion and a couple girls paid in full and tipped Amber on top of it. I didn’t see it happen. Then when I went to pay in full I was charged the full price. She did not deduct 2/3 services already paid for! I gave amber many attempts and emailed her along with my mom, my sister, my mother in law and friends. We were very nice about the situation and explained the “miscommunication and breakdown” (aka she took my money and ran) and asked for her to send a receipt. A SIMPLE receipt. I got married on October 4th, have sent many many emails nicely to them and here I am 5 months later still livid with Amber. We eventually had to call the credit card company we used for partial payment (which was not enough) and reported FRAUDULENT CHARGES on the transaction. It was given back
To us and never reversed back to amber. Do not use them unless you want to be taken advantage of on your wedding day.

es that I had already paid in full, they initially tried denying the change to services until I pointed out that I was allowed to change services based on our contract. They admitted they needed to change their contract, then they dragged their feet in sending a refund. When they finally did, they only sent a partial refund and did not refund in full. Cannot recommend them.

As with anyone or any business there are always a review or two that aren't 5 stars, but nevertheless I felt that Bombshells was the right decision for my big day, and I couldn't be happier with my decision.
I opted to do a trial for both my hair and makeup which required an additional trip to OBX, but I timed it with our tasting at our venue so it wasn't such a long drive for one appointment, and it was a great decision. Doing the trial allowed me to get a feel for exactly what I wanted, and made for SUCH a smooth day-of for my wedding hair and make-up. My hair and make-up, as well as my bridesmaids, was phenomenal throughout the entire day. Our make-up and hair stayed with us through the sweat and heat of the day, well into the night and we all continuously received compliments.
I highly recommend Bombshells for your big day! You won't be disappointed.

I began reaching out to Amber in early May to finalize details such as totals for hair and make up, my wedding time, what time she would be there, etc. From The beginning of May until 2 days before my wedding, Amber had only called me back 1 time. I called, sent emails, text messages, Facebook messages, etc. with NO RESPONSE. I finally text her 3 days before my wedding asking her to please just let me know if she was going to show up because I was highly upset that I did not know the status of hair and make up for my wedding. She finally responded to that text saying she was working a wedding and would call me later. I did speak with her later, but never did I receive an apology or an explanation as to why she had been MIA for so many weeks. It was 3 days before my wedding and she did not even know what time was wedding was at. Another make up artist came the day of the wedding and her work was great and she was super sweet. However, the stress of trying to get in touch with Amber trumps the great services received by her staff. I would not recommend her to another bride.

s so excited and pleased with what they came up with at the trial for me! They took lots of pictures to ensure that they would be able to recreate the same look on my wedding day.
Now, before the wedding I found out that someone else would be doing my hair other than Amber, but that they had sent the photos over to her. This was all stated in our contract and I agreed to this. However, when I sat down on the morning of my wedding to have my hair done by the other stylist, she informed me that she had never received any photos. I only had two photos on my phone, which she did not seem very interested in looking at. I tried to explain what the hair style had looked like in the trial to her, but what she ended up doing was not what I had envisioned. It looked fine, but it paled in comparison to what Amber had done at the trial. This is why I am giving them only 2 stars because what was the point of paying for a trial and it is disappointing that they did not come prepared to do my hair.
On the other hand, Sandra did both my trial run and day of makeup and I would hands down give 5 stars to her. I never wear makeup, and she created a beautiful pallet for me to rock that day! She did an amazing job bringing out my eyes and creating some luscious lashes for me. Thank you Sandra for saving the day!

accommodating for myself, my six bridesmaids, two flower girls, and the mothers. Everyone's hair turned out just how we wanted and the hair and makeup really held up (even through the intense dance party at the reception!).
