Just a gal with a camera in love with love
Hi there, I'm Bonita. I am a Minnesota girl who spent many years in New York working in the fashion industry. While I loved my time and career in NYC, I eventually returned to Minnesota to be closer to my family. At that time, I decided to pursue a degree in art. In college, I picked up a camera and developed a love for photography. Now, I never feel more comfortable than when I am behind a camera but my experience in the fashion industry has proven to be so helpful in guiding my clients through poses and helping them feel confident. When photographing a wedding, I look for details and unscripted moments that tell your story. I am inspired by light and color and my style is a combination of classic and editorial. I have been working as a photographer shooting weddings, families, and pets for about eleven years and my film work has been exhibited at the Praxis Gallery. I have a B.A in Art and a minor in Design from the University of Minnesota where my work has also been exhibited. On an individual note, I am married and have two dogs. When I am not photographing someone, or something, I enjoy walking my dogs, baking, and working with my husband renovating our old Victorian house! I look forward to working with you and creating amazing memories of your wedding day!

Bonita did an outstanding job at our wedding! The pictures turned out fantastic and were exactly the style my wife and i were hoping for! She was a 5 star photographer throughout the entire process, was extremely easy to work with before, during, and after the wedding and incredibly friendly (a trait that can be overlooked when booking your photographer). We will be recommending her to all of our friends that plan on getting married up here!

Working with Bonita Jane was an absolute joy. I would highly recommend her services for any photography needs. Bonita served as my wedding photographer back in September 2024. She did an incredible job of communicating with me throughout various points in the wedding planning process. One of the things that I really appreciated is that she asked me very thorough and thoughtful questions to ensure that she captured every special moment. Bonita Jane also showed true dedication. There was one moment I wanted photographed that was a little to capture. She persevered and even returned to the shot later in the evening, which led to some truly great photographs. Again, I’d definitely recommend Bonita Jane for photography services. She’s dedicated, professional, offers consistent communications, and very talented.

Bonita was our wedding photographer and she was absolutely amazing to work with! She was organized, detailed, communicative, attentive, and overall just a very lovely person to work with. Her photography technique was fantastic and the sneak peak photos we’ve seen so far are absolutely amazing. I can't wait to see the full gallery! I 100% recommend Bonita to anyone seeking a professional photographer for any wedding or photography need. Bonita, thank you for making the day fun and memorable!!! Bonita Jane was so wonderful to work with! She helped make our day easy and fun. She was a great communicator at all stages of the process, gave great advice, and got every shot! She really went above and beyond to document our wonderful day. I cannot recommend her enough!

Bonita did our engagement shoot as well as our wedding - and both were absolutely wonderful! She is sweet to work with, and an expert in how to get the best shots, best lighting and backgrounds, etc. We definitely recommend her! FIVE STARS!

We hired Bonita for our October 2022 wedding, and we couldn't have been happier! Bonita is a great communicator before, during, and after the event. She managed the seemingly infinite number of posed photo combinations we requested and the candid shots with equal grace and professionalism. The photos she ended up with were exactly what we were looking for: natural, beautiful, images without that heavily filtered look that will be dated in a few years! They are timeless, gorgeous documentation of all our favorite parts of the day. We'd hire Bonita again in a heartbeat!

Bonita is such a fun and AMAZING photographer!! She spent a career in front of the camera before becoming a photographer so she just gets it! Bonita gives feedback on poses (sometimes the most subtle things like move your fingers closer together) and just knows how to make your photos look great! Bonita works so hard and fast to make sure you have lots of photos to pick from without having to wait very long! Love her! 100/10!
