I have absolutely no words to describe my gratitude to DJ Shino and Bonita Sound for the services that they provided at my wedding. When I say SHINO killed it- I do not say that lightly. I am an extreme type A groom who worried about every little detail- music to me and my family was a HUGE deal. Our wedding was a joining of two families from two different backgrounds (Colombian and Italian) alongside having a large group of young people who are particular with their music- to say I was stressed was an understatement. I didn't want to ignore some cultures music and only focus on others/ I wanted it to be as fluid as possible (I didn't want all the Colombians up only for the Colombian music and then the young people only up with the EDM/hip hop music, etc.) Then came DJ Shino to the rescue, easing my stress and immediately talking me off the ledge. I left everything in his hands and I am SO happy I did. I have had NUMEROUS friends/family members ask me where I found my DJ, telling me that our party is the best party they have been to in years and that they haven't danced like that in years etc. People did not want the party to end!!!!! My wife and I did not sit down for a single second. Our dance floor was packed at all times. Do not hesitate to go with Jordan. He is so kind, energetic, professional and downright just great at what he does. He looked through our playlist choices and made an amazing mix of songs for us that catered to a family from different cultures. He made us a mash up for our special wedding dance and planned out our entrances for the wedding party. He was patient and super detail oriented. He met and exceeded anything we could have hoped for from a DJ he knows what he’s doing. He made the cocktail hour exactly what we pictured, the vibe of our dinner perfect. From the beginning to the end of the night everything was flawlessly executed timing wise. He made our ceremony SO special by making sure high moments of our lyrics hit while we walked out together. Honestly, Bonita Sound was a highlight of our wedding. Natashia communicated clearly, was kind and accommodating, offered helpful guidance along the way, sent us lovely and encouraging notes during the wedding process, initiated and set up multiple video conferences to check in about what we wanted, and helped us hire a live band in addition to a DJ. DJ Shino played music that vibed with the crowd as wella s our preferences. The band, Los 9 del Sabor, created a set list that combined our preferences and their own additional songs that got everyone on their feet and dancing. DJ Shino and Los 9 del Sabor were WONDERFUL to work with the day-of. They brought such passion and energy and had everyone on the dance floor. Our wedding would not have been the same without them and we are grateful.

I highly recommend choosing Bonita Sound as your wedding DJ! I soon as I spoke to Jordan I knew I had to hire him for my wedding. Music is very important to me and I didn’t want a typical wedding DJ who played all of the same things. Jordan was able to mix all of our different music tastes into a night that was unforgettable. The dance floor was packed all night with guests of all ages. Multiple people reached out during the wedding and after to ask me who the DJ was and that he was the best wedding DJ they’ve ever seen! We also hired a three piece horn trio through Bonita sound who made the dance party next level. Jordan and Natashia were a pleasure to work with and so responsive during the entire planning process. I cannot sing the praises of Bonita Sound enough!!! Jordan is super talented and professional. We had had a call and exchanged some emails to get the vibe down for our wedding reception. Our vibe was r&b, soul, 00's, carribbean - we were categorically against any "bar" songs / sing-alongs (no hate just not our wedding vibe). HE NAILED IT! I was a huge dork and couldn't stop giving him thumbs up from the dance floor, he was so good. They're not just pressing play on a playlist, Jordan actively read the room and energy. - matched it when it made sense and bumped it up to get things going. He also graciously emceed our reception and was perfect, the farthest thing from a cheesy DJ and helped the night flow seamlessly. I also HIGHLY recommend getting some live musicians along with DJ, we had sax and congas players for part of our night and it was so much fun!! The musicians were so nice and such great sports because they let me and my husband play the congas. We had a good laugh and really fun pictures! DON'T HESITATE TO BOOK! Nail them down, they are seriously the best.

DJ Shino did an incredible job creating the soundtrack to our wedding last month. Besides our caterers and venue coordinator, he was probably the vendor we spoke with the most leading up to our big day. Shino wanted to ensure every detail was covered in the run up to the event. Half of our guests were native Spanish speakers with varying degrees of English understanding and he curated a flow that catered to both the Spanish and English guests. He even made sure to switch between languages over the course of the night. Afterwards, several guests commented on how connected he was to the mood of the room through the music. I cannot thank Shino enough for taking the time and effort to make it the best night. His passion and love of music is palpable and we're so glad he was part of our wedding celebration.

Where to begin?! Bonita Sound was ON point - very professional, easy to work with and kept things moving on the dance floor. Jordan made sure the music flowed through the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, where we also had a solo musician and band. He was very attuned to the kind of music we wanted to hear - a mix of hip hop, afrobeats, motown and salsa - and checked in frequently to make sure we were happy. We had the dance floor going for 2+ hours and I don't think it would've stopped if our wedding wasn't ending. Our friends continue to send us rave reviews about the music. For our wedding, the team took incredibly good care of us, zeroed in our vibe immediately, communicated clearly, reassured any anxieties, and proceeded to to work the floor like a Zumba class. My family loves to dance and DJ Royale created a vibe that kept the energy going right until we had to kick everyone out. Hiring Jordan (Bonita Sound) was easily one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. Every part of working with him was seamless and easy, he quickly understood who we were and what kind of vibe we were going for, and he came completely prepared. We got married in a remote forest in the Poconos with several different areas we needed music, and he was able to set up everything so the music was perfect the entire time. Jordan DJed for our wedding in September 2022 at Curtis Arboretum, and we were very pleased! We really wanted someone who could capture our music taste and incorporate their own unique flavor, which is exactly what Jordan did. We did not want the Cha Cha Slide, Sweet Caroline, YMCA vibe that many other wedding DJs offer. We loved that Jordan is a part of the Philly music scene and we even had a chance to go to two of his events before our wedding! We met with Jordan several times before the wedding, and he did a great job asking us questions to get a feel for our taste. We also added on a saxophone player (Dahi), who was amazing and hands down one of the best last minute additions to our wedding! Absolutely incredible and really helped create the vibe we were going for. Our dance floor was filled throughout the night and everyone was having a blast. Jordan even took a few videos from his vantage point throughout our day, which he sent to us for some additional memories! 10/10 would recommend!

Jordan was amazing and so great to work with!! We had a band for the first half of our reception and during that time Jordan was the "MC" he brought a cool vibe, not cheesy at all. Bonita Sound was an absolutely perfect choice for our wedding. From the first meeting we had with Jordan, we were completely confident that they had everything under control. Everyone was extremely communicative, professional, and accommodating. They truly made the whole process so easy and curated the perfect event for us. Our wedding incorporated American and Nigerian cultures and many different age groups. DJ Jabair and MC Taaj both really took the time to figure out *exactly* what we were looking for- which was really really specific- and executed it perfectly. Bonita Sounds and Jordan had no small task when it came to coordinating the music and vibe for our big day. Our friends and family have a wide range of taste in music, and with our family favoring a genre that wasn’t one of our favorites we knew it would be an interesting task make it all work together. Highly highly recommend Bonita Sound! Once we hired DJ Royale and had our first meeting with him prior to our wedding, I was put at ease! Planning a wedding is stressful but I had TOTAL confidence in him/Bonita Sound leading up to our wedding based on their professionalism and generally chill vibes. Bonita Sound, and specifically, Jordan Poole aka DJ Royale, are not only the best DJs in Philadelphia, but they are also the best in Brooklyn!! We hired Bonita Sound to DJ at our wedding, but it's important to know Jordan is not a wedding DJ, and ironically, that is what you want. Jordan DJs at clubs, parties and hosts his own cultural events. He is introspective, open minded and learned. What that means is if you want the same old wedding DJ who plays "The Macarena" and "Cotton Eyed Joe", he's not the DJ for you. However, if you want a DJ with a deep appreciation for culture and music, who reads a crowd like a good DJ should, and knows when to slow down, and when to build musical intensity, then he's your man. See, I am Nigerian and my wife is American. This fusion of cultures is not particularly easy when you consider that while my bride and I share similar musical tastes, our families do not. Jordan specializes in preparing music which caters to people of diverse backgrounds and different cultures. This requires him to go far beyond the "regular" wedding set list most American DJs adhere to in order to provide an experience that is uniquely centered around the couple and their families' musical interests. In our first meeting Jordan discussed our interests and our musical vision for our wedding. He invited us to submit song ideas so he could get a sense of our vibe. With this initial set of songs he was able to sketch the outlines of what our wedding day would look like. Jordan was approachable, knowledgeable, responsive, prepared, did his homework and on the day, delivered in the biggest way possible. The wedding was a vibe. He kept the dance floor packed and our aunties and uncles out far later than they would have expected with bangers they could not stop dancing to. Jordan doubled as our MC and could not have been more perfect. He has the energetic voice of a hype man without being the sort of MC you feel talks just to hear the sound of their own voice. In fact, we received several compliments about his restraint and his ability to punctuate the proceedings, making that which was occurring even more alluring, more important, and worthy of your attention. Jordan picked his spots perfectly to interject, preferring to let his beautifully curated music set the tone and take center stage. Jordan's performance was so impressive I'm still fielding calls about his availability. My cousin even interviewed him following the wedding for his podcast. He truly was incredible. I would be remiss if I did not mention the live jazz quartet Jordan sourced for us. These four men played during cocktail hour and were jaw droppingly good. In sum, Bonita Sound and Jordan were fantastic in every way. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking something more than your traditional "wedding DJ". You will not be disappointed. DJ Royale was great to work with from the start to finish. He was very friendly in his exploratory meeting with us and continued to be very helpful leading up to our big day. We got married June 18, 2022, and could not have asked for a better DJ to work with on our wedding day. It was clear from our first phone call with DJ Royale that he has a passion for his craft. Throughout the entire process he was extremely professional and provided us with detailed plans and feedback. We had some specifics regarding the ceromony and reception music, but allowed him to do his thing to keep the night going. There isn’t a single thing I would have had DJ Royale do differently for our celebration. All of our guests continue to rave about the musical vibe he provided and tell us how much fun they had. He played some of the best music that respresented our "Brown Sugar" love story giving us mainly late 90’s vs 2000s mixed with current hits. There are not enough positive things to say about Bonita Sound and DJ Royale. Since my first interaction with him, I knew I was working with someone who was not only extremely talented but also genuine and dedicated to giving us the party of our dreams as well as an extremely personal experience. My husband and I connected with Jordan immediately and he just understood our vision. We are music lovers and DJ Royale helped us incorporate all of our favorite songs into every part of the wedding while still creating the ultimate party atmosphere that had everyone dancing the entire night. On the day of the wedding, DJ Royale was incredible in staying connected with us and accommodated every last minute change. His skill in reading the room and knowing what to play next is unparalleled. A month later we are still hearing from friends how amazing our DJ was and we are now trying to figure out a way to have another party so we can hire Jordan again. We hired Bonita Sound for our Nov. 2021 wedding, based on the recommendation of our planner Clover Event Co. Jordan did a fantastic job on boarding us and explaining their services. He connected us with the perfect DJ that suited our needs and musical style, Xtina. We had a long, untraditional format for our wedding day and Xtina handled the day professionally. Once it was time to get everyone on the dance floor, it was a non-stop party. She absolutely nailed it. She created the perfect atmosphere to keep all generations dancing, while still staying within the preferences we conveyed to her (lots of 80s/new wave / indie). It's been over a month since our wedding and our guests are still talking about how much fun they had! We owe a lot of that to DJ Royale! He kept the dance floor absolutely PACKED the entire night. We had a meeting with him a few weeks before our wedding to talk about the types of music we were looking for - as I am from a big Irish family, and my husband is from Zimbabwe. We told him the kind of vibe we were looking for as well as songs that were "must play" and also "must not play." If you want a music experience on your big day that isn’t just a playlist of line dance music you hear at every wedding, your search is over! Having a DJ that could keep the crowd dancing was the highest priority on our wedding wish list and Bonita Sound delivered by pairing us with DJ Craig Dash. Craig knocked it out of the park, seamlessly taking us from the 70’s to the 2000’s as we requested, mixing classics with deep cuts as he went. He also held down all the announcements and brought a calm demeanor to the day that we really appreciated. Shino, one of Bonita Sound's talented DJs, was so perfect for our multicultural, bilingual wedding. Shino perfectly executed our ceremony music - bringing all his own equipment - with little instruction from us. Guests had tears in their eyes during the ceremony. We had a great dance party featuring all my favorite songs. I danced to every single song at the wedding. How many brides can say that?! Our family said how warm and charismatic Shino was. Shino honored all our wishes, including to have all guests join us for the first song rather than having a traditional first dance. We had both a 1 year old and an 81 year old enjoy the dance party. That’s magia 🪄.

We are so happy that we made the choice to have DJ Royale and Bonita Sound provide the entertainment for our special day. We hired Jordan for our wedding and couldn't have made a better decision. Jordan was very professional. We had 2 calls prior to the wedding so he could learn more about my wife and I, our taste in music, and the type of vibe we were going for with our wedding. I can’t praise Jordan enough. I have to say that my experience with Bonita Sound was everything my wife and I wanted and more! I worked with Jordan P. and he made everything so easy for me. That's not as simple as one may think, especially when planning a wedding for 200 people and dealing with so many different vendors. The communication between Jordan and I was on point. I had a list of songs that I sent to Jordan and he played every single one and incorporated his own style, to liven up the party. I've heard of Jordan's reputation as an amazing DJ from Philadelphia, but his professionalism and attitude towards making our day so special was on another level. I've been to so many weddings and Jordan can do it all with DJing and MCing. There were few things my guests asked me at the end of the night. Can I take dessert home, how did I pay for all the food, and who the heck was the DJ! I remember at the beginning of the reception, after the bridal party was announced, the dance floor was starting to fill up. Normally at my family weddings, we don't have a lot of dancing throughout the reception. Jordan had to remind us that food was coming out and to take our seats, at the same time, there are so many memories I have from that night and a lot of it had to do with the music, food and seeing my closest friends and family really enjoy themselves. Jordan was incredible! His style, grace, presence and ability to read a room is always on point. My husband Matt and I are really passionate about music, therefore it was so important that we had someone who understood us. The music that was played captured us perfectly-an ode to the soundtrack of our lives. Many of our guests requested a copy of the playlist post our wedding. We are forever grateful and will never for get the look, sound and feel of that day.

We hired Jordan for our wedding in Lake Como, Italy. We've been following him for many years as he built his career in Philly and we knew he was going to provide the party we wanted at the wedding. Have you ever heard a DJ play exactly what your body wanted? This is Jordan in a nutshell. He just understands how to read a crowd and give them what they want. The best part is that he doesn't play standard wedding songs. He digs deep and brings out vibes that make an evening special for many different ways. If I ever get married again (just kidding, my beautiful amazing wife!), I'd hire Jordan without thinking twice.

DJ Royale DJed our wedding in October. My wife is Ugandan and I am Jewish. He managed to mix traditional songs from both sides with our favorite Disco, pop, electronic, and Afrobeats. Everyone loved it (and we have some tough critics)He is a true professional, easy to deal with, and can think quickly on his feat. His sound levels and tone are also really superb.
