We had our wedding of 70 people at Bontecou Farm in August 2022, and we're so glad we did! (The venue was so amazing we came back for our first anniversary).
We booked the venue ...
Friday to Monday and had our wedding on Saturday. Since there's two houses, we had our immediate families stay in the main house, while we stayed in the cottage.
For us, this set up was much more relaxing than booking a venue for a few hours where you have to get in and out the same day. This way, we were able to relax for a day and a half after the wedding.
Of course, the grounds are beautiful, which makes for great photos opportunities and lots of options for how to lay out your wedding and reception. The firepit was great, too, for everyone to hang out after the reception and the day after the venue.
But the best part of all was the host, Linda. She let us visit the venue a couple times in the months leading up to our wedding. She also recommended some vendors to us. And she was genuinely invested in us having the best wedding we could. She was on hand the day before and day of to make sure everything was perfect.
We highly, highly, highly recommend Bontecou Farm as a wedding venue (and just a place to visit).

ch, but there were so many beautiful places to choose from. We had dinner the the orchard followed by a stunning sunset and dessert in a tent on the field. And I can't forget to mentioned all the peonies that were in bloom!! (Multiple vendors and guests said it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever been to!!!). It was magical.
The big house was absolutely perfect for housing our immediate family. It was clean, comfortable, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The room with the wooden beams was stunning and was complimented endlessly. We loved that there was so much room to gather with our family, which was great for doing our DIY projects and for spending time together.
My husband and I stayed in the cottage, which was the perfect little escape from all the chaos. It was also great to have that space on our wedding day to have the 'bridal party' get ready together.
There was also plenty of room for parking which was wonderful!
The icing on the cake was how kind and helpful Linda and Tom were. They made sure the grounds were pristine for our day, even setting up wood and fire starters so we could have a bon fire after dinner. They also were there to receive and direct our rental/tent delivery. They were endlessly kind and accommodating and made us felt like we were in the best hands and so at ease. Just a dream to work with!!
I really can't say enough good things. The property and the house will hold a special place in our heart. It is so cared for and loved and we felt that on our day.
