yan, I was instantly impressed by his professionalism and attention to detail. He took the time to understand our vision and worked with us to ensure every song fit seamlessly into the vibe of our wedding. When the night began to die down, Ryan even joined us on the dance floor and taught us a few moves to a dance we hadn't done before; it was an absolute blast, and we loved that he was willing to jump in and keep the party going! Ryan's lighting and sound quality were top tier which added to the overall experience. Ryan was able to read the crowd, adjust in the moment, and flawlessly managed transitions. I had numerous guests comment about how amazing our DJ was, and I couldn't agree more. If you are searching for a DJ who is not only incredibly talented and passionate about what they do, but genuinely invested in making your special day unforgettable, we couldn't recommend Ryan with Boogie Down Weddings more! We wanted a big fun party, and we got it! When you're booking Ryan, you're not just getting music services and a full sound system with microphones. Our wedding (130ish guests) was...

in a rural area, in a big tent and everything was powered by generators. Ryan showed up early to test the sound system well in advance of our ceremony and worked with our officiant ahead of time to make sure the ceremony went smoothly. Then, he seamlessly transitioned songs in the ceremony based on human cues exactly the way we envisioned. Going into the reception, Ryan mixed the songs and genres we wanted and sprinkled in some excellent choices based on the vibe and setting. He also kept me (bride) and groom informed of potential changes in the timeline (i.e., dinner was ready a little early, and Ryan asked if we wanted to get dinner started early - we would never have known because we were so busy talking to different guests and family from out of town). Ryan facilitated dinner lines effortlessly, and without me even asking (Bride-Brain, it's a thing). There was probably a lot of other coordinating among vendors that Ryan was doing that we were too preoccupied to notice. It turns out that when you're the center of attention, you get too busy and overwhelmed with greeting guests to pay attention to timelines or notice things that may not be going to plan... Ryan was an awesome bridge between us and everything that needed to happen. As for Ryan's DJ services: 10/10! At the last minute, he added a fun surprise where the maid of honor and best man chose SONG INTROs to their speeches and it was so fun. While we planned on having guest trivia (in lieu of the shoe game or something similar) but dinner, music, speeches and dancing were going so well we didn't need extra entertainment. I wish I had more time to dance instead of meet and greet guests, because every time I looked at the dance floor there were people dancing and having a good time!

DJ Ryan was such an amazing addition to our wedding! I cannot recommend him enough. He not only has amazing DJ skills that kept all our friends and family dancing the whole night, ...

but he also was so helpful in helping us choose songs for our whole wedding event. He is very personable, easy to work with, and puts in the work to make the event run smoothly. He even helped with a ton of the day of coordination and was a huge part of our wedding day running smoothly. We received many comments from our guests that DJ was so nice and they enjoyed talking with him and listening to his DJ set. Thank you, DJ Ryan!

genuine to talk to. You can tell he really loves what he does from the very first phone call. He had us fill out a detailed worksheet that helped him really understand our style, preferences, and the overall vibe we were going for. It was such a fun activity for us to do together. One of the things we appreciated most was how seamlessly he emceed our dinner and cake cutting — it kept everything moving smoothly and took so much pressure off of us. Since we didn’t have a wedding coordinator, he stepped in and helped out. He helped direct our guests and introduce our speakers and talked us through how to cut a cake! During the dance, he also went above and beyond to accommodate several unique requests, including blending our wedding dance, mother-son dance, and generations dance into one amazing moment that got everyone on the dance floor and set the tone for an unforgettable night. We also asked if we could do karaoke, and let me tell you he has a wicked setup that lets everyone sing along! So fun!!! Ryan read the room perfectly and knew exactly when to start and wrap up karaoke based on the energy of our guests. It added such a unique, personal touch to the evening, and my now-husband and I had an absolute blast singing off-key with our guests :) Ryan was not just a DJ — he was a true partner in making our wedding celebration joyful, smooth, and totally us. Thank you, Ryan!!! You are simply the best!!

preferences and dislikes. Ryan was extremely flexible when plans went a bit off the rails with a very large wedding and took everything in stride, even when we asked him to stay 3 hours after our originally agreed upon time (he was obviously compensated for his time). I cannot recommend Ryan with Boogie Down enough, you cannot go wrong!

kind of wedding we were throwing, asking us questions about music preferences, specific tastes/dislikes, timing, schedule, how to pronounce names, special announcements, the whole nine yards. Ryan really went above and beyond and even brought another PA and mics for the ceremony. Ryan kept us on our timeline, he made announcements, felt the crowd, and kept the party bumpin! 100% one of the nicest and professional guys I have met and it was a pleasure to get to work with him and have him DJ our wedding. He did an incredible job and I would recommend him to anyone who asks! Thanks again Ryan! You're the man!

Hiring a DJ was a last minute decision but we couldn't have picked better. Ryan was so friendly and informative when we spoke over the phone, and so organized! There was a workbook...

that we were able to fill out regarding which genres we wanted, special requests, and specific songs for special dances. When we came up blank on songs he was ready with wonderful recommendations. On the day he was so dressed so professionally and always made sure we were happy. He asked what type of atmosphere we wanted and he was so good about keeping it fun but comfortable, exactly what we wanted. We had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception and he had a set up for both so all of the guests could hear. If anyone ever asks for DJ recommendations we will definitely recommend Boogie Down Weddings.
