About this vendor
Bookhouse Collective is a woman and LGBTQ-owned wedding-and-event still photography and motion picture film service with bases in Spring Lake, NJ, and Brooklyn, NY. Their trio of partners is happy to document events of all sizes, from intimate city hall ceremonies to extravagant destination weddings.
Jersey shore's lead partner, Andrew Zaeh, has years of experience as both a photographer, music video director and creative director. During his career, he has lensed major ad campaigns, photographed countless celebrities, and documented unique events worldwide for select clients. Andrew splits his time between Spring Lake and Brooklyn with his husband, Johnny, and their pet cockatiel, Goose (who truly rules the roost). When not working, Andrew can be found surfing the waves off Spring Lake....or surfing the couch with any number of streaming platforms he pays way too much money for.
Brooklyn-based partners Meredith Truax and Noa Griffel are accomplished photographers and directors as well serving the fashion, celebrity, and music markets in New York City when not working on Bookhouse events.
The team who has been working together since 2009 is happy to travel to venues throughout New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, with package options available for destination weddings worldwide. They encourage starting with an engagement session to help you become more relaxed in front of the camera. On your big day, they will be ready to capture each moment that makes your milestone unique and memorable.

I can't say enough about how happy we are with our experience working with Bookhouse Collective for our elopement in the Hudson Valley. Andrew and team were incredibly communicativ...
e and so wonderful and easy to work with. Their photos absolutely exceeded our expectations as they were able to capture the small (and often very funny) moments that made the day so memorable. We highly recommend Bookhouse Collective!
I loved working with Meredith! From start to finish, she was professional and. My husband and I had talked about doing our engagement photos at Coney Island and not only did Meredi...
th love the idea, but she helped us with travel plans and navigating NYC traffic on 4th of July weekend. She was incredibly kind and created a sense of warmth and ease through the whole shoot. Our photos came out exactly as we'd hoped they would. Even in shots that were carefully posed, Meredith made it look as though she captured a candid moment between us. The photographs feel personal and very reflective of who my husband and I are as a couple. It was an amazing experience and I can't recommend Meredith and Bookhouse Collective enough!
Just yesterday, a friend was looking at our wedding photos and said, “wow, whatever you paid your photographers — it wasn’t enough.” THAT’s how beautiful our photos from Bookhouse ...
Collective turned out. My husband and I had the absolute pleasure working with Andrew and Noa for our destination wedding in my hometown of Buffalo, NY, and they were wonderful at every turn. From helping us throughout the planning process, to their warm professionalism on our wedding day (not to mention flexibility when we had to reschedule for COVID!) We couldn’t have asked for a better team and can’t thank them enough for making our wedding such a great experience.
My husband and I were referred to Bookhouse Collective by some friends who spoke very highly of them. After a consultation with them, we hired them to film our wedding in a resort ...
at the Riviera Maya in Mexico. Andrew and his team a joy to work with (and have at our celebration!) and the photos and videos are simply incredible! We had everyone arrive a few days early to enjoy the resort and prepare for the event. So when the big day arrived, the entire Bookhouse team felt more like guests than people we hired to help. Don't get me wrong, Andrew and the Bookhouse Team were consummate professionals. They were a step ahead of us on every count, capturing all the special moments we continue to cherish today. The imagery is amazing! Thank you so much, Bookhouse!
I knew from the moment I picked my wedding venue in a remote part of upstate NY on a FARM (4 hours from NYC!) I would have hurdles to tackle to find vendors that were up to my stan...
dards and that would be able to accommodate such a remote destination wedding.
After my first interaction with Bookhouse Collective I knew that I was in good hands, and they would make my vision come to life, and they did JUST THAT!
Meredith and Andrew from Bookhouse Collective arrived on site Friday Afternoon as my wedding party was arriving and photographed my ENTIRE wedding weekend from the grounds of the farm to the rehearsal dinner, the morning after brunch and EVERYTHING in between, they did not miss a single moment OR a single detail.
Even once the wedding was over, we remained in contact throughout the editing process. Within 2 weeks they had emailed me a sneak peak of my photos and I was BLOWN away, not to mention once I received the entire album how incredible their attention to my little details were.
My experience with Bookhouse Collective and their entire team was a D.R.E.A.M and I would recommend them 100 times over for your wedding no matter how small/large near or far!
My husband and I tapped Bookhouse Collective to film our ceremony at City Hall in Manhattan and then travel with us to our destination celebration in Napa, CA later that year. Mer...
edith from Bookhouse was a consummate professional from start to finish and such a calming presence. By the time we got to Napa, she felt more like a guest than part of our wedding team. Knowing she and the Bookhouse Team were there really allowed us to focus on enjoying our friends / family as we knew the imagery would be amazing - and it was! We've since had them back to capture our family reunion and even had them take professional portraits of us for our LinkedIn profiles. Thank you, Bookhouse!
