Bookshelf Bakery

My husband and I used Bookshelf Bakery for our October 2016 wedding and we couldn't have been happier! Casey, the owner, was so easy to work with and made us feel incredibly special. She is great with communication and is prompt to respond to any questions that you have. Casey met us at a coffee shop for our tasting and was extremely professional. She had several flavors of cupcakes (two of each flavor so we could each try a full one!) and cute book shaped plates for us! :) we thought the plates were so unique that we asked if she could bring them to the wedding, and she did because she's amazing! We loved all of the flavors, that we had a hard time narrowing it down to 6, which is the number we wanted to provide for our guests. Casey even made two new and unique flavors just for us, creating wine flavored cupcakes with wines from our wedding venue (Winery at Bull Run). We chose Dark Chocolate Raspberry Wine, Peach Wine, Pumpkin Cream Cheese, Caramel Apple, Red Velvet, and Salted Caramel (my favorite!!). Casey came to the venue early on the day of our wedding to set up the cupcakes and made them look beautiful. She brings several tiers to set them up and arranged them in a clear way so that guests could see what flavors were being offered. The guests went crazy for the cupcakes as they passed them on the way to the buffet line. They could barely wait until dinner was over and starting taking some while others were still eating :). We ordered a plentiful amount and there were only a few left at the end of the night because of their popularity, which I know is a rarity for wedding desserts. We heard guests all night talking about which flavors were their favorites and about how some tables grabbed one of each and cut them in half to try all of them. We were so impressed with the cupcakes and the professionalism that Casey brings to her business. We even used her cupcakes for our "cake cutting" ceremony and it was so fun and unique. Since we did not have a wedding cake made and therefore did not have a top tier to save per tradition, Casey gave us a voucher to use on our first anniversary in which she will make us a fresh small cake or fresh cupcakes to use for our celebration... a truly personal and magical touch.
