it up the day prior and storing it ourselves. The cake itself tasted amazing and was just enough for all of our guests. The only disappointing part is that they refused to do a black cake. They said it is because black icing stains teeth, but this wasn't a concern of ours, just a concern of theirs. After going through the tasting and everything, we just gave in and did a white cake, which was fine since it was still delicious. Overall still a good choice, and they were relatively easy to work with.

order "didn't know that they don't deliver on our wedding day" (a Sunday). No apology at all. I'm very disappointed that we invested time in selecting a cake, placed a deposit and had a confirmed order to later have our wedding cake order cancelled three months after. I understand mistakes happen, but the way it was handled with no apology, etc. is unacceptable.

nto my cake on my wedding day and saw vanilla cake instead of the chocolate cake we thought we had ordered. When we confronted the bakery about it, they claimed that when I adjusted the cake order based on our final guest count I eliminated a half sheet cake that was chocolate, but they didn't make that clear to me. I didn't think that I had ordered any vanilla cake, so I really have no idea what they were talking about. I do not live in Kalamazoo anymore, so I had to work with them over phone and email. Not once did they send me a copy of the order or an invoice showing what was ordered and what the costs would be. I find this to be very unprofessional, and clearly it led to terrible miscommunications. My husband was the most upset by the vanilla cake and didn't even eat any besides the one bite for photos. Although our guests still thought it tasted good, we were extremely disappointed.

ece left at the end of the night! Out initial meeting with Boonzaaijer was a little rocky as the staff member we worked with was somewhat unsure of what decoration was possible. They called the day only two days before the wedding to confirm the details and we had to change the design slightly because the initial plan was "not possible." They did create a custom color frosting for our cake which turned out beautiful! Overall I would recommend their service to friends and family.

ted! Not only was the cake decorated perfectly, but it tasted amazing! During August the bakery closes for a few weeks and unfortunately our wedding date happened to be during this time. We knew, however, that we really wanted their cake for our wedding so we ordered it anyways and froze the cake in our own freezer and thawed it 24 hours before the wedding. We were worried the cake wouldn't turn out, but we were excited to find that the cake tasted perfect!! I totally recommend them for your wedding cake!
