Cake was fantastic as we knew it would be! Boonzaijer cake was my husbands only stipulation in the wedding planning process!

Boonzaaijer Bakery has always been a family tradition, so I was excited to have them bake a cake for my wedding. That excitement quickly turned to disappointment with their poor communication throughout the process and devastation when I cut into my cake on my wedding day and saw vanilla cake instead of the chocolate cake we thought we had ordered. When we confronted the bakery about it, they claimed that when I adjusted the cake order based on our final guest count I eliminated a half sheet cake that was chocolate, but they didn't make that clear to me. I didn't think that I had ordered any vanilla cake, so I really have no idea what they were talking about. I do not live in Kalamazoo anymore, so I had to work with them over phone and email. Not once did they send me a copy of the order or an invoice showing what was ordered and what the costs would be. I find this to be very unprofessional, and clearly it led to terrible miscommunications. My husband was the most upset by the vanilla cake and didn't even eat any besides the one bite for photos. Although our guests still thought it tasted good, we were extremely disappointed.

Our wedding cake was more than I ever dreamed it would be. Every single guest commented on how beautiful and delicious it was. We had an unconventional color scheme and Boonzaaijers did such an amazing job bringing our vision to life.

Our cake was delicious! For our wedding we purchased a four tier cake, each layer a different flavor. The cake was larger than the recommended size for the amount of guest we had attending, however, guest loved it and we didn't have a single piece left at the end of the night! Out initial meeting with Boonzaaijer was a little rocky as the staff member we worked with was somewhat unsure of what decoration was possible. They called the day only two days before the wedding to confirm the details and we had to change the design slightly because the initial plan was "not possible." They did create a custom color frosting for our cake which turned out beautiful! Overall I would recommend their service to friends and family.

Some little girls dream about their wedding dress; I dreamed about my cake. I knew I wanted something different, but elegant, and Boonzaaijer's definitely brought my vision to life! We had 4 layers (2 vanilla, 1 chocolate raspberry, 1 raspberry) and it was beautiful. My husband is thrilled, our guests were thrilled, I was thrilled!

The cake was amazing! They Traveled 40 minutes to our venue and were on time with our stunning cake. It was truly something out of a magazine, plus it tasted even better! So affordable and They are a must have at any wedding!

I LOVE CAKE and since I moved to Kalamazoo which was over 14 years ago, this has been the go-to bakery for cake! Every time I have an occasion that I need to buy a cake for, I always go to Boonzaaijer Bakery! Their cakes are filled with bavarian cream and it is so delicious! I'm starting to salivate thinking about the cake! Our wedding cake turned out amazing, it was delivered on time, looked exactly like I had envisioned and tasted so good! Our guests could not stop raving about the cake! I highly recommend this bakery!!!!!

We ordered our wedding cake through Boonzaijers and were very impressed! Our consultant was very friendly and helpful- she helped us figure out what we wanted and when we saw our cake for the first time, they had done exactly what we had requested! Not only was the cake decorated perfectly, but it tasted amazing! During August the bakery closes for a few weeks and unfortunately our wedding date happened to be during this time. We knew, however, that we really wanted their cake for our wedding so we ordered it anyways and froze the cake in our own freezer and thawed it 24 hours before the wedding. We were worried the cake wouldn't turn out, but we were excited to find that the cake tasted perfect!! I totally recommend them for your wedding cake!

We were very happy with our wedding cake from Boonzaaijer. They listened to what we wanted and delivered a cake that exceeded our expectations. The flavors were delicious.

Brides cake was vanilla and the grooms cake was red velvet with raspberry. More people wanted the vanilla so I should have done the grooms cake in 1/2 and 1/2

This cake was beautiful, delicious, and everything we wanted! We had a vanilla, four-tiered cake made for 180 guests. It went over very well! Boonzaaijer did a great job, from our tasting, to the delivery of the cake. By far, one of the best prices in the Kalamazoo area. A great place to use for the price-savvy bride/groom!

Boonzaaijers cakes are delicious!!! These cakes are so good and really decently priced! They worked with us on design and made sure we had everything that we needed. I cant wait to get another cake from them!

I was absolutely THRILLED with our wedding cake and the 6 additional tortes/cakes that we ordered. Everyone raved about our cake table and all the different options and how good they all were!

First of all, their cake is amazingly delicious, but that isn't all that a wedding cake is about. I didn't even get to eat my wedding cake because I was so busy. I gave them a picture I found on the internet and they told me they couldn't do exactly what it was, but they would try to do it as close as possible. When it came, it was perfect- almost exactly like the picture. They don't charge extra for decorating, so the price you see on their website is what you get. They were great, I 100% recommend them.

Cake looked very pretty, but more importantly, it was delicious. I'm glad we had leftovers!

My family has used Boonzaaijer's for birthday cakes for years. My husband and I knew where we were going to get the wedding cake. We weren't disappointed. They worked with us and allowed us many different options to have an "offbeat" wedding great of great quality. They even included instructions on how to freeze our top layer and a box!

They did a fantastic job on the cake. They staff was very accommodating especially since our cake was a last minute order.

We ordered the vanilla and the red velvet raspberry. You cannot go wrong! The whole reception was raving about our cake. It looked great and tasted great would definitely recommend! And was cheaper than other places we looked in to!!

I have always wanted a cake from Boonzaaijer, and they did not disappoint us!

They really put up a lot with my specific cake requests and everything turned out wonderful. They made my cake exactly what I wanted and followed my requests to a T, they even matched my dress accent color to the frosting border. Not to mention it was the tastiest wedding cake I've ever had!

I heard of them through some friends and after trying two other bakers, they were my first choice. The cake is moist and the buttercream is phenomenal! I took in a photo with some changes to describe to them what I was looking for. We had a four tier square cake with each layer off centered with different patterns. When I saw the cake as the wedding, they hit the nail on the head. It was perfect! I would definitely get another cake from them and refer them to anyone!

Grew up in Kalamazoo/GR area then moved to Columbus, OH, but I had to have a Boonzaaijer wedding cake. Thier cakes had been a family tradition for any occasion growing up. Authentic dutch bakery, amazing cakes with wonderful boonzaaijer fillings. The people were great working with me from a distance and the cake traveled down with grandparents so easily!

The cake was simple but beautiful and delicious. It was delivered and set up by the bakery, no complaints, great service and product.
