Welcome to Born to Run Farm

Born to Run Farm is a one-of-a-kind outdoor luxury event venue located on top of Point Mountain in Glen Gardner, NJ. The property, initially a horse racing farm, has been owned by the Gerish family since 1978. The Gerishes turned the farm into a wedding venue in 2016 and have since been the hosts for many happy brides and grooms on their special day. It is still a functioning farm with a variety of animals who are all a part of the Gerish family. We know that your wedding day is one of life’s most important milestones and our goal is to give every one of our couples the most memorable day possible. We know that you dedicate hours of your valuable time and a great deal of your hard earned money into this day and we work with every couple throughout the whole wedding planning process to make sure your day is as you imagined it, with as little stress as possible. Our staff will be there during the whole wedding process and beside you on your wedding day to coordinate with your vendors, as well as be a helping hand with anything that requires assistance. Our 130 acre farm has some of the most breathtaking views in the state. There is no shortage of locations to take pictures to remember your perfect wedding – our beautiful pond, mountaintop view, under the weeping willow tree, even in front of our variety of farm animals. Our clear span tent gives guests the feeling of being outdoors and surrounded by spectacular views, but it also gives you the luxury of feeling you are in a intimate and elegant, indoor space. Born to Run is there to help coordinate with our preferred vendors for catering, flower arrangements, music and so on. We have a large supply of in-house rentals to choose from. Our venue allows you to have a blank slate to create the wedding you have always imagined, more unique than any other wedding you have been to! I attended an event at Born to Run Farm as a guest and not only is the property breath-taking, but the family that owns the property is beyond helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend hosting a unique and intimate event here.

Joe especially works tirelessly to manage requests and details, and is available well in advance of the event date to make sure everything runs smoothly. One recommendation: if your event is a wedding (or otherwise has a cocktail hour), make sure to time the cocktail hour around sunset. You won't be disappointed.

We rented thousands of dollars worth of things for my sisters wedding there...a huge tent, farms tables, gorgeous bathrooms, decorations, chairs, furniture, china... and made a lot of our own decorations...including 8,000 dollars worth of flowe...

rs. When we went Sunday to get the things and clean up...they were using all our rentals and decorations for another party without our concent or knowledge!! And then called the cops on us for trying to pick it up!!! They literally are sneaky deplorable people who will do anything to make a dollar. They were using alllll our rentals saying it was their things and charging the other customers for it! Our rental company is filing a lawsuit, the farm won’t reimburse us and I’m seriously still in shock that a venue would do that!!!

ate vendors and on the day of the wedding putting it all together. The property is gorgeous! It truly was a dream wedding. We also have a lot of nieces, nephews, and friends with kids in our lives and wanted to include them in the wedding. The property is big enough that children can run around a play without constant supervision but not big enough that they'd get lost. Couldn't be happier with their services and would highly recommend them!

ace was so much better than a hotel for shooting getting ready photos because you're not so cramped in. The family that owns the place was so easy to work with, flexible and really there for anything we needed the day of. I loved how sweet they were. The animals are an added bonus and some guests were able to meet them. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day and a lot of it had to do with the help from the venue staff, making sure we had everything we needed and I didn't have to worry about a thing.
