Borrego Valley Inn

I recently had my wedding here and it was AMAZING! The venue/hotel itself is so cute and the grounds are immaculate but what really steals the show is the mountain backdrop. It was hot (106 during the day- but it was June so that was to be expected), so we started our ceremony at 7pm and it was significantly cooler and comfortable. We held 100 people but could have easily fit another 50 if needed. They have 15 rooms and 2 pools which you get the whole weekend for your party as they require a hotel buyout. We did a 2 day buyout but I wish we had done 3 days- it would have helped with cleanup and relaxing without having to worry about other guests checking in. A huge bonus is not only that you get the entire place to yourself but that there are no noise or time restrictions as there aren't any homes/residential areas for miles. This allowed us to continue the party and DJ until 2am, something unheard of! The (minimal) staff are so friendly and the booking process was extremely easy. Be aware that there are no in town vendors so expect to pay a little more for travel/delivery fees. Also note that this is a complete do and bring-it-yourself venue. We had to bring everything down to the arch (which we made) but the venue itself is so beautiful very little decor is needed. We used an intown restaurant (Carmelitas) for food and they were awesome as well. Although there are almost no vendors in town, Borrego is such a cute and quaint town so using what you can there is extremely appreciated. We received thank you's from other hotels that our guests stayed at for the business and having our wedding in Borrego, everyone is truly so nice and you really will not regret having your wedding at the Borrego Valley Inn- just remember to think a little outside the box and know it will require a little extra planning and organization but SO WORTH IT!!!
