The only regret that we have from our wedding is hiring borrowed and blue productions. Now I am not leaving this review to be rude but because I do not want any other couples to have the experience that we did with borrowed and blue productions. Our wedding video that they provided to us is beyond a disappointment and is honestly unbearable to watch. The colors are nonexistent, the footage and transitions are awkward and old fashioned and worst of all our video just down right made us cringe. We are heartbroken. Obviously, our wedding isn’t something we are going to be able to do again, so sadly those memories are ruined. Now, Nick did offer several times to re-edit our video which we appreciated but you can only do so much with poor quality footage. The videos are off center, blurry, lacking color saturation and overall are terrible quality, it looks like a home video from the 90s. I am not sure if their equipment is just old or what but my iPhone could have shot better footage. There were points in our ceremony and our first dances where the camera glitched and there are frames missing. They filmed my bridesmaid first look in front of a window causing all of that footage to be unusable because it is washed out. I could go on and on. During the planning process, I asked on several occasions if there was anything that they needed from us as far as inspiration on what we were looking for. And Nick turned down my offers only to later say that it was my responsibility to tell him my vision from the start. It is always the responsibility of the professional to ask the questions to discover what the client is looking for. I provided an entire shot list for my photographer and would have been more than happy to do the same for the borrowed and blue team but they said that their team had it under control. Unfortunately, the editing is not the only issue with borrowed and blue but also how the footage was shot. There is no attention to detail and the footage is just unprofessional. Some examples of the videos we got include: in front of the window for the bridesmaids making it completely washed out, my mother flossing, candles not being lit, the strap from my train not being put down from the hanger, he made us say weird, unnatural things to the camera (like- “it’s time to get dressed”, “he’s my man” and so on), there’s footage of just my photographer--I could go on and on. Half of the footage is just of us taking photos and going from smiling to not smiling, how awkward! And to make it worse that’s what was used in the highlight! It looks unfinished and I don’t understand what they were trying to achieve or the story they were trying to tell. Joe (our videographer that day) also made creepy kissy noises at us, that I guess were supposed to prompt us to kiss, which made us both extremely uncomfortable. The footage is blurry, the lens is dirty, the angles are awful, and the color is nonexistent. The product we received is far from professional. Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and this footage is not an accurate representation of our day. It is unprofessional, unedited, and overall unpleasant to watch. Please do not hire this company, it isn’t worth it.

We hired this company for our October 2021 wedding., and don’t regret it!!!! They were so flexible with our change of date because of Covid and just supported us through the process. Joe was the videographer for our wedding, he captured every moment that I could ask for! He was timely, so sweet, and tender when I got overwhelmed the day of the wedding. He captured the preceremony of myself and my spouse, our first glance, the wedding, cocktail hour, and we got all raw footage. We had a strict budget and they worked with us! I received a preceremony video, composed of songs of my choice, a prereception video, again songs of my choice, and a highlight video! Everything was perfect and I love how we got our whole ceremony! I especially love my highlight as it captured perfectly the moment when my groom saw me for the first time at our first glance. Joe called me prior to my meeting, to get to know myself and my spouse.. it was a nice personal touch. Nick, was super helpful when we had to change dates, and was always reachable. The video was given to me in a timely fashion, and it was all that I imagined and better than I could! This company was meant for the bride who wants video footage, wants easy to work with people, and is on a budget. Quality does not have to be overpriced! It was worth every penny!

It was a pleasure working with Nick for our wedding video. He was prompt and a man of his word. We were on a tight budget for the wedding and there were no hidden fees. The video turned out great and we would highly recommend Borrowed and Blue.

Our videographer and price were great! We got several DVDs, which was very nice to give to parents. The DVD footage was very comprehensive! They gave us all of the footage from the whole day! I would have liked if some of the footage (some of the dancing mainly) was cut out, because it got a little boring watching people dance to a whole song or 2. Overall, they did a great job!

I hired this Company for our daughters wedding back on 6-7-2014 & they did a fantastic job! Little did I realize that my niece had use this same company & she had said to me great choice! Be specific as to what your expectations are & the moments that are a must have on you video.

Borrowed and Blue Productions was a pleasure to work with. From our first email exchange, Nick was very communicative and willing to work with us to ensure that we got the exact type of coverage we wanted for our wedding day. Our day of videographer Joe was very welcoming and approachable, and he did a great job making us feel comfortable. We were admittedly a bit nervous about being filmed for an entire day but Joe was able to capture exactly what he needed without ever being obtrusive. He also had some great suggestions for footage we never would have thought of. We highly recommend Borrowed and Blue Productions for anyone looking for a seamless wedding videography experience.

Nick and his team were exactly what we needed to capture our big day! We decided to add a videographer close to the end of the planning process, which left us with few options within our price point but Nick and Amy really pulled through for us. We were able to get a blue ray, 3 DVDs, AND a hard drive full of our raw footage within our budget. On the day of, Amy was super sweet, accommodating and literally all over the place ensuring that every big moment was on tape. We just finally got around to watching our video and we were super pleased with the use of music and footage. I can’t wait to share with our friends and family!

We engaged Nick from Borrowed & Blue Productions as our videographer for our wedding in June 2018, and we would highly recommend him. Nick was very responsive, often responding to questions and emails within minutes. We had a more casual backyard wedding, and he designed a custom package with pricing and content that made perfect sense for our big day. He was a complete professional on the day of the wedding, even showing up early to check out the surroundings and shoot some awesome drone footage of our backyard venue. We were very pleased with the ultimate wedding video, and we are glad we spent the extra money to purchase the raw footage, as well. Nick worked seamlessly with our photographer, Nijole Shuberg, and I would highly recommend hiring the pair. Thanks, Nick, for capturing our big day so beautifully!

Borrowed and Blue was everything we could have asked for and more! Joe took the time to make sure he knew what we wanted our video to look like so he got the right shots. He got to know the wedding party so he knew all of the important people to spotlight in the video. He was so kind, supportive and was able to work with my DJ and photographer to make the day perfect! Would definitely recommend borrowed and blue to anyone looking for an amazing videography service for their perfect day! I heard of them through another bride and was very impressed by her video. Not only are they priced affordably, but they are extremely accommodating. Nick was always super fast to respond and helped me with any questions I had at any time of day. Our videographer called me two days before the wedding to hear in full detail what I would like to happen, any little things or surprises I wanted recorded, and had no problem going to many different places to film before and during the wedding. Nick sent me video clips of our day as little sneak peaks before the video was finished as well, and as a bride I really enjoyed that :) You can tell this company truly cares about capturing your day the way you want it done. Their work is amazing, and you get multiple DVDs which is awesome to hand out to your family for keepsakes! Thank you for all of your hard work!

Nick and his team were great! At first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to spring for a wedding video or not, but I'm so glad I did. Nick's prices were reasonable, and helped to capture the big moments of my big day. I especially appreciated talking to our lead videographer a few days before the wedding to give him the low-down on "can't miss" shots and things I didn't want (not a big fan of leaving "well wishes" for the bride and groom - just not my thing!). I was nervous to watch the video at first, since my type-A personality worried that the large video rig they had panning the dance floor during dinner and dancing would come off as obtrusive (spoiler: it didn't and just made everyone look alive, awake and having a good time). I just watched the WHOLE video again and they absolutely captured not only the big moments, but sweet ones I didn't even realize - my mom winking to get friends as she walked down the aisle, my husband's nervous laughter during our vows, my dad singing "My Girl" to me. Those are the moments I can't live without, and now they're all preserved thanks to Borrowed and Blue.

The day of my wedding this company was very professional, timely and flexible. I am SO happy with the outcome of my video! He captured great moments and the editing was awesome. My favorite part is at the end when he uses my dads voice over the highlights. Perfect! I would definitely recommend them to any brides I know!

Having a videographer was by far one of the best decisions I made when planning our wedding. Although we agreed to not have one originally, I made this last minute decision the week before the wedding!!! Nick was the absolute greatest to work with. He was extremely quick to respond to all my questions along with setting up all the last minute details. I was blown away by his all of his assistance in such a short period of time. He sent us four great DVD's that captured every moment of our day. We already watched the video multiple times the first week we received it!! I highly recommend Nick and Borrowed & Blue Productions!!!

If you're looking for a videographer these are your guys! We had nothing but incredible service from Borrowed and Blue Productions. Communication with Nick was fantastic (through the entire process). He was very flexible with what we needed and answered all our questions quick. We were able to relive the entire day with all of the great footage Borrowed and Blue was able to capture. We had Nick during our preceremony and Joe for the wedding and reception. They worked well with my photographer and DJ (such as getting their mics connected to the board, etc.) The communication with us and our other vendors was fantastic! We received our videos within the time period that was promised and the videos were amazing. We got interviews in our videos from family and friends that we were so happy with. I loved that they included some pictures in the videos as well. We were able to pick our own music for the video and they put it all together perfectly. Both Nick and Joe were extremely accommodating and helped make our day amazing! These guys are a must hire !

My husband and I are so happy with the way that our wedding video turned out! Nick was very easy to work with over the phone and through email to plan our wedding and the music to go along with our video. Tim captured every moment perfectly from the traditional moments of the ceremony to the speeches and dancing at the reception. I definitely cried the first time I watched it. The video was absolutely perfect.

True professionals! Nick was super responsive, very knowledgeable and did a great job editing our video. After seeing our wedding photos, we were very disappointed in our photographer because he didn't shoot a lot of the little details but then we got our video. UNBELIEVABLE! Joe and his partner were perfect! They didn't miss a detail! I can't thank them enough! I highly recommend Borrowed and Blue!

My wedding video was AMAZING! From the moment that Nick arrived at my house the day of my wedding, to the moment the video's were dropped off, I would give a 10 out of 10! My only regret is not booking them to stay even longer at my wedding!! We had interviews with family and friends on the video, we got to re-watch our vows, and pick our own sound track! Having B&B at our wedding is one of the best decisions we made while planning. If you are on the fence about hiring a videographer, don't be!! Book Nick and never look back. I assure you, you will not regret it!

Don't let anyone tell you its worth skimping on videography! After watching the wedding video Borrowed and Blue put together for us, there is no one else I would recommend. Their prices will no doubt fit into any budget, and make it so worth it. My husband and I had our dream wedding in Wheaton this past fall. The day was truly breathtaking, and Borrowed & Blue captured every moment of it perfectly. Nick went above and beyond (without even being asked) to ensure that our wedding video was flawless. Plus, the Borrowed and Blue team was a joy to have around on the actual wedding day. So many of our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and guests raved about Joe at the wedding -- "Where did you find your videographers? They are AWESOME!" was just one of many great reviews we heard throughout the day. And my husband and I could not agree more. You don't realize how much time you'll spend with your vendors on the day of your wedding, so it is really important that you find not only talented vendors, but kind, fun people to share your day. The Borrowed & Blue team is an amazingly talented group. They were so easy to work with, and brought such a great laid back vibe to an otherwise hectic day. B&B nailed it and we could not be happier!

I made the easy decision to book borrowed and blue after speaking with Nick. Their prices are great and the packages they offer vary and allowed us to pick exactly what we wanted. When it came to planning the details, Nick was very easy to work with and extremely flexible with our time line. I had several updates to our wedding day timeline, and Nick always got back to me right away. On our wedding day, Tim was our videographer, and his professionalism, organization, and attention to detail made our wedding video perfect! He worked well with our photographer so that they both were able to do their jobs, and we are so happy with the final product!
