They were unreal. If you’re at all thinking “ I’ve never heard them, can I trust what these reviews are saying” PLEASE know I thought the same thing up until the first song. It was UNREAL they were out of this world. So good. Such a vibe. Such a party. It was AMAZING. I’m a planner so I had a million questions and they were so available and answered everything ( and were not annoyed with me ). Everything was amazing. The pre wedding planning the day of and then the event was 10/10. Best vendor at my wedding.

We had Boston Common Band at our September wedding and wow they really do bring the party!! Our guests are still raving about how wonderful they were! Book them for your event and you and your guests will have the best time!

Boston Common Band performed at my brother's wedding in August 2019 and all 200 guests have been dreaming about seeing them perform again since that day. We reminisce on that party as the "last great event" before the global pandemic hit in early 2020. Despite perhaps looking at that evening through rose tinted lenses, BoCo lived up to the insane reputation we had built for them in our memories. When my husband and I got engaged and began planning our wedding, Boston Common Entertainment was the first vendor we called. Because we planned to do a backyard wedding, we had a wide open calendar and planned our wedding date around the availability of the BoCo Band. Many had been told of the bands talent, but still marveled at how good they are. The vocalists, instrumentalists, and production quality were all top notch and people remarked all night and into the following days that they felt like they were at a concert. One guest said she had been thinking about the band since 2019 and had been telling her cohorts at home how excited she was to see them again. Another me messaged afterwards saying that if she ever gets married, she wants them to play at her wedding. Needless to say, I will be replaying videos from that night for weeks to come, and I can't wait until my next opportunity to see them perform! Thanks again for all the joy and entertainment <3

The Boston Common Band rocks!! Working with Emily, Jeff and the Boston Common Band was a fantastic experience, and I cannot recommend them enough. In the months leading up to our wedding the entire team was highly communicative and great to work with, giving us peace of mind that they were on top of everything and would make it an unforgettable day. Despite the high expectations going in, the band exceeded them on the day of. They performed for our ceremony and cocktail hour, both of which were perfection, and when the real dancing began the band's incredible sound matched with an energy that never waivered made for a truly unforgettable night. The setlist was constructed beautifully, and they did some of the best covers of songs I've heard at weddings or otherwise. You absolutely will not regret hiring this group. Thank you BCB!!!

We had a June 2023 wedding in Newport - and the Boston Common Band was by FAR the best band that made the evening the most fun night of our lives!! Our dance floor was PACKED from start to finish, and we've had countless guests come up to us after our wedding telling us that was the best band they've ever seen. They brought the ENERGY and set the tone for the most memorable night. In the days leading up to the wedding, their entire team was so organized, communicative, and stress-free. Not to mention, they truly care about the couples they work with. Since my dad had recently passed away, I chose to do a non-traditional mother/daughter/sister group dance in lieu of a father/daughter dance to my mom's favorite song, "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." The band wound up surprising us with an INCREDIBLE live rendition that got the entire room on their feet - it's a memory I will always remember. We had our wedding July 2023 at Hotel Commonwealth and Boston Common Band, brought it! Emily and the entire band were amazing. We had them for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Every single person was so nice and so fun. We wanted everyone up and dancing the entire reception and they killed it. The songs were great, the interaction with the crowd, their dancing. LOVE them so much. DJ Mike helped us navigate the run of show and kept our nerves at ease with speeches, and timing, and first dances. He was amazing. The entire group kicked major ass. I want to have another event so I can see them again!

Boston Common Band is the best wedding band, PERIOD. We saw them at a wedding in June of 2019 and knew we had to have them at our wedding (June 2023). The lights, the song choices, the sound, everything about them was perfect. They are the best to work with leading up to the day. So easy to communicate with and quick at responding. If I could give them 10 stars I would. The Boston Common Band absolutely ROCKED our wedding at Newport Beach House last weekend. From the ceremony to cocktail hour, dinner music and the party, they simply crushed it. All of our guests keep telling us they felt like they were at the best concert ever and the dance floor was packed all night long. They even coordinated with my husband and let him jump on the drums to play a song. We can’t even wait to see them in action again at our friends wedding in August. The Boston Common Band was AMAZING! We hired them for both ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and the music was perfect. They had great suggestions for guitarist ceremony music which was really helpful and took some stress out of planning. They also are the "full package" meaning they come with all the mics, speakers and light show you need to have a ceremony everyone can hear (sometimes a struggle at other weddings I've been too....) and a dance party your guests will rave about! Hire this band, you'll have so much fun - they are worth it!

This band is AWESOME. They had our guests dancing all night long! Seriously, almost all of the guests were dancing the entire time and that's hard to achieve. It's been about a month after our wedding and the band is still talked about! In addition to the great music they played, they also entertained exceptionally well and kept the crowd engaged..from dancing with the guests, to allowing us to participate in singing, etc. What adds to this bands' solid 10/10 is that they were very well organized and communicative throughout the entire process. We received the guidance and attention we needed the entire time and they were truly a pleasure to work it. Highly, highly recommend this band. You will not be disappointed!

Hire Boston Common Band. Just do it. We had seen them perform at a friends wedding a couple of years ago and they were literally the first vendor we booked because we HAD to have them. They are a legit blast and so incredibly talented. Our dance floor was packed the entire evening - my dream come true! They play a perfect variety of new songs and old, and even have choreography to go along with it (literally died the first time I saw this happen). We LITERALLY planned our wedding date around the band! We saw them a few years ago at a friend's wedding and knew immediately once we got engaged we would be hiring Boston Common Band. They were our first call (after family) when we got engaged and used their 2021 availability to plan our day. They DID NOT disappoint. From start to finish, DJ Shyne, Emily and band made us feel 1000% with our decision. They even helped us with our venue decision. When we met with DJ Shyne, he caught our vibe and that continued to our wedding. Even with no masks, perfect weather and a perfect venue (literally could not have asked for more), our timeline day of shifted (longer than expected speeches), the band still shined as the "event" everyone is still talking about. No one got off the dance floor, including us. We danced the night away and sang along, which was our whole plan. If you're debating your budget and the band is a tbd, go with the band. Everyone remembers the band, and they are the best around! They are not your typical stand on a stage band. They are in the crowd, catching the mood, letting you sing along, dancing with you, etc., Thank you again Boston Common! You exceeded every high expectation we already had!

My best wedding planning advice would be hire Boston Common Band ASAP! My husband and I got married at the Popponesset Inn and Boston Common Band was the highlight of the reception. They kept the dance floor packed the entire night and all of our guests raved about how great the band was. No video will do them justice either - they are absolutely incredible live and worth the $!!

WOAH. We found Boston Common Band while attending a friend’s wedding and knew on the spot that we they had to be our wedding band. We actually picked our wedding date based on BCB’s availability! Having seen them perform in person previously we knew they were going to be great, but wow did they exceed our expectations. They had all of our guests dancing for hours. Literally. So many of our guests are still talking about our band and how they didn’t leave the dance floor once all evening. The energy that this group brings and maintains all night long is honestly impressive. They’re dancing, interacting with guests and truly trying to throw you the party of your life. Not only did they bring the fun, but the process of working with them leading up to the main event was amazing. They answered all of our incessant questions very promptly😊, accommodated all of our custom requests, and scheduled video calls with us in the few weeks leading up to the wedding to ensure they had all the details laid out. In looking at music options for our wedding, we couldn’t decide whether to go band or DJ, and I stumbled across the Band/DJ combo offered through Boston Common. We had Soul Estate/DJ Manolo for our wedding, and it was one of the best choices we made! Music and sound were high up on our priority list, and the talent and energy from Soul Estate and DJ Manolo exceeded our expectations in every way. In addition to going above and beyond on the day-of, the planning process with these guys was a breeze from start to finish - they are truly rockstars in every sense of the word!

The Boston Common Band and Josh (DJ J-Boogz) were outstanding, and even that might be an understatement. From the moment we booked, we had clear and timely communication with various band members and coordinators. Everyone was always on the same page and the planning interface was simple and easy to use. The video chat with the DJ about a month prior to the wedding was very helpful and made us feel 100% confident in their ability to coordinate an event and put on a show. Now for the music...the Boston Common Band is not your typical wedding band, they are insanely talented musicians and performers who bring a concert to your wedding. Boston Common Band is absolutely the best band you can have for your wedding day!! The band was the most important part for us as we knew that we wanted to have an amazing party. The transitions between the band singing and the DJ playing were seamless. They played our first dance song so beautifully and that is a memory we will have forever. The Boston Common Band is amazing! They were one of the first vendors we secured for our wedding in October. They catered so well to the diverse age ranges of our guests, performing a mix of Motown and Pop hits. They also learned and performed a song for our first dance. We received so many compliments from our guests about how impressed they were with the band. The band manager was also very professional and very easy to coordinate with throughout every step of the planning process. Highly recommend!

By far the best decision we made in planning our wedding! From the pre-wedding planning to the end of our reception, Boston Common Band and DJ Shyne were a thrill and joy to work with. Our dance floor was absolutely and truly packed the whole night and numerous guests commented on how amazing our reception was. (In addition, some of our guests could not even tell the difference between the band performing the song live and the original artist!) The band is not only extremely talented, interactive with the crowd but also the textbook definition of high energy. DJ Shyne was integral to the success of the night, seamlessly guiding the reception events, providing endless hype and excitement, all in addition to spinning some fantastic tunes! We also spoke with DJ Shyne during our pre-wedding logistical meeting and the man is a true professional, knowing our questions before we asked them and offering creative and logical solutions to issues we brought up. All in all, Boston Common and DJ Shyne far exceeded all of our expectations and we could not ask for anything else. If you have any doubt in your mind about choosing a band for your wedding- pick this one.

Park Street Band and DJ Nate were exactly what we were looking for when searching for our wedding band! We didn’t know a band/DJ combo existed; we took advantage of that package and we are so glad we did. DJ Nate was the perfect emcee for the evening. We don’t live in Boston anymore so we didn’t have a chance to hear them live before booking, but they absolutely exceeded our expectations! They are extremely thorough and easy to work with - we had a FaceTime session with DJ Nate where we just talked through the timeline together so we were all on the same page (he gave some great tips, too!). The online portal was simple to use and very useful if you want to request or deny certain songs. We chose to defer mainly to the band for song selection because we assumed that since they play every weekend that the band would know what songs to play and when to keep the party going! We assumed correctly; the energy was insane - I think everyone was on the dance floor the ENTIRE time. We also made a request towards the end of the wedding to have one of our guests sing Shout with the band and it capped off the night in the best way possible! Couldn’t recommend them more!

If I could give Boston Common 6 stars, I would! We absolutely loved our wedding, and Boston Common played a huge role. Guests are still raving about their performance weeks after the wedding. Through the planning process, we knew we were in good hands. We heard from the band leader, DJ, and manager regularly and they ensured that nothing fell through the cracks. We went into the day with a solid timeline, knowing that between DJ Rolling Rick and the band, the music at our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception would be exactly what we wanted. These guys exceeded all expectations!

Words cannot describe how amazing The Boston Common Band was from day one of talking to them up to our wedding day! They were our first vendor we booked once we had our wedding date confirmed because we knew that we wanted a band and were ecstatic that they were available. We first saw The Boston Common Band at our friends’ wedding and LOVED them! Jonathan and Emily were so professional and very responsive throughout the whole process. We even became groupies going to see them play off-season at The Lansdowne Pub in Boston and at The Thirsty Moose in Porstmouth, NH. For our wedding day, they played jazz during our cocktail hour and then delivered an outstanding performance for our reception. Another amazing part was having DJ J Boogz working with them and us to create a great playlist of songs when the band was on break. They worked so well with our wedding coordinator at The Westin Copley Place and the uplighting looked fantastic in the ballroom. The Boston Common Band was honestly the BEST decision that my husband and I made when it came to our wedding. We both have large, crazy families who love to dance and we knew we had to deliver the party of the year, and with Boston Common Band, that's exactly what we got! Their energy was absolutely incredible and infectious, and literally everyone was on the dance floor from the first song to the last (no joke)!! The band wasn't only energetic but also SO SO talented. From the vocalists to the drums to the horns, every member was a truly a rockstar. It was also so amazing to have DJ J-Boogz spinning songs when the band took their break. We requested a few must play songs but didn't have a set play list, but the set that he put together was a mix of exactly what we were looking for! Every single person I talked to after the wedding said Boston Common Band was THE BEST wedding band they've ever heard and we couldn't agree more!!! They were also THE BEST to work with leading up to the wedding. Both Jonathan and Josh were so responsive and knowledgeable, answering all our questions and making the whole process so easy and seamless from start to finish. You only get married once. Don't mess this up. I'm sure there are other great bands/DJ's out there, but Boston Common Band was absolutely, undeniably the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. With almost zero input, BCB crafted the perfect set (and playlist) to keep our party going. What you can't find anywhere else is this group's ENERGY. They had the party JUMPING the entire night. I looked up during the second to last song and the old folks -- who I thought would've been in bed hours before -- were still kicking it right next to the wedding party. Nails did. Hair did. Everything did. It was a night my husband and I will never forget, and our guest will never forget either! Immediately after, several months after, years and year after--we will continue talking about Boston Common's Band Performance. Last thing: we also had the band play during our ceremony and cocktail hour....and every performance outdid the last. It was flawless. I couldn't pick a favorite part because it was all done beyond our requests. They may be pricey, all good bands are, but it's worth every last penny. I promise!

5 stars doesn’t even begin to describe just how amazing the Boston Common Band is! My husband and I first saw them at another wedding and at the time we weren’t even engaged. We knew then that if we got married we would absolutely be having them at our reception! From our first contact they were incredibly responsive and answered all our questions (even before we booked with them!). In fact, they even helped us pick our venue as we were deciding between two! Throughout the wedding planning process they kept us up to date, gave us easy access to a website where we could submit song requests and update other information, and continued to always be super responsive! They were also really accommodating. My husband and I are huge Bruins fans and saw the band performing at a season ticket holder event. They were wearing Bruins jerseys and because our wedding had a lot of Bruins elements, they even agreed to wear the jerseys for the whole reception! The photos are epic and for us, it added that perfect final touch!! Our point of contact was Jeff (DJ Shyne) and he was fantastic throughout the process and on our special day. He kept us engaged but totally followed our lead. The band is not only insanely talented and fun but they are literally a show. SO many of our guests raved about the band and told us how much fun they were having. I could go on and on but honestly, The Boston Common Band and DJ service will take your wedding to an entirely new level.

Our wedding was a full blown CONCERT and you made my DREAMS come true!!!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU X A MILLION! I found this wedding band totally by accident on The Knot. I didn’t realize they were actually from Boston until I tried to contact them. From the moment I saw their promo video on their website, I knew they were going to be our wedding band. I had chills from head to toe, they made me cry!!! They travelled all the way to Long Island from Boston, and they were truly incredible. Every single guest at the wedding came up to me to tell me how incredible they were. They kept the energy up all night long. I heard them play every single song on our must play list. They even created an arrangement with a Pipe & Drum band (Provided by Jack Morelli Music), to play Shipping up to Boston by Dropkick Murphy for our grand entrances, and everyone said besides the vows at our ceremony, the grand entrances were the best part of the night! BOOK THEM ASAP! The Band Leader even sent me a bunch of photos they took with a good camera the next day!

I can’t say enough great things about Park Street Band and DJ Tony! I was torn between band and DJ and they were the perfect choice that also fit within our budget. Leading up to the booking, the band leader made it a point to have a phone call with me to go over pricing and options and was extremely responsive with all emails and communication! DJ Tony also had a phone call with us a month prior to go over every detail and timeline of the wedding and he also worked hard on a customized mother/son dance song for us. The whole process was so smooth leading up to the wedding and the performance was even better than I had imagined! The dance floor was packed and they played the perfect songs! They also sang our first dance song which was beautiful! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for high quality entertainment and a stress-free experience!

Honestly the BEST decision we made was booking Soul Estate with DJ Tony!!! If you are reading this now, just book it I PROMISE you won't be disappointed. Originally we were deciding between going with a DJ or booking a band. It was money well spent for sure! My now husband wanted to do a DJ and after the wedding he told me I was RIGHT and Soul Estate's performance was literally out of this world!!! Everyone was dancing all night long and their energy was SO amazing!! I can't tell you how many people came up to us and commented on how great the band was and our engaged friends all asked for their contact info! Dave, Erika, Ryan and all the members had such high energy and killed such a variety of songs! We literally were up on the stage singing with them and they were in the audience getting the crowd on the mic. How many brides can say their dad was up on the stage singing "play that funky music." It was epic. They get everyone involved!! Writing this just makes me want to relive that night over and over again!! DJ Tony killed it in between sets and there was never an pause without the band. DJ Tony even made a custom mash up of songs for our father daughter dance - I literally cannot thank him enough it was such an awesome moment and he really went above and beyond!!!The process of working with them was awesome - Jonathan - their manager was so prompt with all of his responses. They even have an online forum where you can place must plays, hopeful plays and do no play. I can PROMISE you if you are on the fence between band/dj get SOUL ESTATE you will not be disappointed!!!!

There are not enough good things to say about Boston Common Band. From the moment we first reached out communication was prompt and pleasant. Once we had our contract locked in Jonathan took the lead and set us up with an online portal to upload must play, try to play and do not play lists. They prepare a timeline, online form to fill out with all the little things that go on at a wedding that you would want music for, and they love what they do! Their library of songs reached every generation. They are on top of their stuff from start to finish and make sure you don't forget anything! The day of the wedding, they rocked the house. Our guests tell us all the time they loved the band the most and we were on the dance floor ourselves most of the night dancing away! They came off stage into the crowd with us and really made us feel like rockstars :) Hands down, they are the best decision we could have ever made when hiring a band for our wedding!!!

From setting me up with a string quartet (who played BEYONCE for my entrance) and the sweet sounds of the Jazz trio...to the GORGEOUS uplighting and the UNBELIEVABLE/UNFORGETTABLE band. OMG – What a Party!!! We had the Soul Estate Band with DJ Tony at our wedding… and we continue to hear from our friends + family about how much fun they had at our wedding! We had initially were interested in Boston Common, as they performed at my cousin’s wedding. But they were already booked on our wedding day. Admittedly, I’m a bride who’s fairly particular, so we definitely took a chance with Soul Estate, and I’m 10000% glad we did. Throughout the booking process, their leader Jonathan assured us that Soul Estate could “bring-it” and boy did they ever! From top to bottom, everything was perfectly executed… and they delivered a party beyond our expectations. The band members are super high-energy, and their lead female singer Erika is AMAZING. Beyond that, their online planning system really keeps you organized, and having the DJ along with the band really made it a non-stop party. Trust me… Soul Estate is every bit as good as Boston Common, and we were so happy to have them celebrate with us!

If you are placing a priority on a wedding band, this is worth every penny. The musical talent itself was amazing, but the band does so much more. Their stage presence and dance moves kept the crowd in awe, and their song selection was perfect. Great communication along the way, and super smooth execution night of. Highly recommended!

Booking the Boston Common Band was one of the best decisions I could have made when planning our wedding. Throughout the entire planning process they were so helpful through emails and face-timing. They consistently answered my questions in a timely manner and gave amazing input for the flow of the night. Their performance at my wedding exceeded all expectations! After the first song my guests were asking me where I found them and complementing the band. They learned our first dance song for us and did an unbelievable job. The band was so energetic and even danced and sang with my guests throughout the night. They brought the reception to life and everyone was dancing the entire night. I already have family members looking into booking them for their own wedding. I can't thank them enough!!

Boston Common Band and ECF Entertainment recently performed at our wedding last month, and they are absolutely amazing! They were the very first vendor that we chose, and we couldn't have been happier! Our guests loved them, the music selections were perfect, and everyone had so much fun! They were great to work with through the planning process, working with a family member on the ceremony music, they performed jazz music at the cocktail hour which was a hit, the up-lighting was perfect, and music at the reception was the best! They were true professionals, and we had so much fun with them, we can't thank them enough for such a great party!! We highly recommend them to all couples! Your guests will still be talking about them long after the wedding is over!!

Boston Common Band and DJ were AMAZING. They are knowledgable, professional and easy to work with. Which is so important when juggling multiple vendors... but most importantly every single person I spoke to after the wedding raved about how amazing the band and DJ were. Five stars is not enough! So many guests told us they felt like they were at a concert at our wedding reception. My personal favorite was the amazing mashup versions of popular stuff, a little twist on the songs you expect to hear. They also gave us an amazing version of our first dance song by Otis Redding (I hope you guys put this in your regular rotation!) Music was our #1 priority for our wedding reception, and we are so glad we found and chose BCB. Thank you for an amazing night!

We had Boston Common Band and DJ Shyne at our wedding on 5/28/2017 at Newport Beach House. We could not have been happier with the band and jazz trio along with DJ Shyne throughout the event. We were unable to see the band before booking them, and had to go with videos and reviews online. When we finally saw them in person at a bar in Boston, we knew they were very talented. However, our expectations were exceeded on our wedding day. Our family and friends were on the dance floor the entire evening and constantly commented that they felt like they were at a concert not a wedding. We are so happy we trusted other couples when booking Boston Common Band- we would book them again if we could relive our wedding night again!

We had the Park Street Band and DJ Rolling Rick at our wedding and they were absolutely phenomenal! After our first band canceled on us we stumbled into having this group and I couldn't be happier that we ended up with them. They kept ALL of our guests on the dance floor the entire night, it was awesome! We have gotten so many compliments from both our guests and even the staff at our venue that the band absolutely killed it! Both the band and DJ Rolling Rock were so easy to work with throughout the planning process. I was extremely impressed by this group! We can't thank you guys enough for helping make our wedding day perfect!

We could not have been happier with our wedding band/DJ! Park Street was amazing, so many of our guests thought so too.. they were even posting pictures with #bestweddingbandever etc etc! Not only were they amazing performers, but we felt so taken care of every step of the planning process. Our DJ Nathan was in touch with us regularly to make sure were were keeping up with the online planner (which was really convenient) and to help us in any way that we needed. We 100% without hesitation recommend working with Park Street as your wedding band/DJ combo; you will NOT regret it.

Booking Boston Common Band & DJ Shyne as our wedding Band/DJ combo was the greatest decision my husband and I made in regards to our wedding. From the start, they were nothing but courteous and helpful. When we first contacted them, they answered every question we had in a timely and thorough manner. They listened to our requests regarding music choices and uplighting, and they absolutely KILLED our first dance song - they even went above and beyond and slowed it down to allow for a slow dance before kicking it up a notch to the normal pace. My husband and I have been to plenty of weddings and what we have learned is that the music can make or break the wedding. Boston Common Band and DJ Shyne went above and beyond. Whenever we looked at the dance floor, it was packed - not a person was sitting! At brunch the next morning, a bunch of people told us that they felt as if they were at a concert the whole night. They were amazing - I would 1000% recommend them for your wedding day!

From start to finish the Boston Common Band were total pros! My wife and I heard about the Boston Common Band through our wedding coordinator at Wychmere Beach Club (Harwich MA). We scouted BCB at the Landsdowne Pub in Boston last December. We were very impressed and quickly convinced (after seeing them crush Bruno Mars) these guys could bring the house down at our wedding. The business end was very simple. Jonathan was straight forward in regards to their packages, addressed any our concerns, and was flexible to meet our needs. The band had played Wychmere before was very comfortable playing the Harbor Room. This was huge because my wife and I were concerned about the narrowness of the room. There was no issue what so ever. We had a 300+ wedding in the room and there were no issues. DJ Tony was completely flexible and very attentive to make sure he got the name pronunciation and order correct. I also had a pretty particular selection of entrance music which he completely nailed. Having a Band and DJ combo is completely worth it. If your going to make the investment to get a band then you really should look at a package deal like Boston Common offers. When the band took a break - DJ Tony nailed it, there was no drop off in entertainment. Our requested songs were played and more importantly, both band and DJ were attentive to the "do not play list" Of the 50 plus weddings i have been to, I have never seen a Band so engaging and accommodating to the crowd. The dance floor had zero breaks from start to finish. BCB allowed the bride and groom to sing a tune, an aunt sing to a grandfather/grandmother dance, and allowed the bride groom and groomsmen to close the night our own rendition of Piano Man. They didn't have to do that...but that's the fun of working with them. If we didn't have twenty pizza pies waiting for the wedding at a local restaurant down the street at the end of the night, our guests would still be there chanting one more song today.
