Dreams Do Come True at the Boston Harbor Hotel

On July 19, my husband and I had our wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel. We worked with Amanda throughout our wedding planning process and she helped make our wedding weekend perfect. The hotel was so accommodating with room blocks, welcome bags, adding on a Sunday brunch last minute, and working with various vendors, Every staff member we interacted with was so kind and helpful. They made our family and every wedding guest feel special.
A few things we loved about the Boston Harbor Hotel:
- The food was incredible. There was ample food at cocktail hour and at the reception everyone was served as quickly as possible.
- The cake design was stunning and exactly what we had hoped for. Multiple guests have asked which bakery the lemon cake was from and were surprised that the hotel has their own pastry team.
- Cocktail hour in the pavilion was amazing and felt so unique.
- Many of our guests came the day before and loved going to the summer in the city event.
- During our tasting, my husband mentioned a small Vermont whiskey brand he likes and Amanda was able to order it for the bar. It was a nice surprise!
Thank you Amanda & the entire team at BHH. Our wedding weekend was flawless and we are so happy we chose the Wharf Room for our venue.

The ENTIRE team was incredibly attentive, ensuring every detail was flawless. Our guests are still raving about the food, which was beyond delicious. ave had so many guests say how they were not only treated so well, but made to feel like VIP’s at the hotel. Every imaginable need was not only met, but exceeded. I had my own wedding planner for our wedding, and Ted was so great at communicating with her, and being able to minimize my stress and involvement in detail decisions. When our wedding planner came down with Covid 2 days before the wedding, Ted was quick to meet me upon arrival at BHH and assure me that everything was under control, and it certainly was. Our day was amazing, and all my crazy wants and needs were met. The room and the view are gorgeous, and you can’t beat the location in Boston. We can’t say enough wonderful things about Boston Harbor Hotel, and the company as a whole, it is clearly well run top to bottom, and we didn’t meet an employee that we didn’t absolutely love

Ted was the consummate professional, and it was clear from our first contact. When we first reached out to him to ask for prices, he replied with a clear, concise, and fair contract within hours. After spending weeks wading through contract issues with our original location, working with BHH and Ted was a breath of fresh air.
Things only got better as our experience continued. One thing we really valued about working with Ted was his ability to listen to our preferences, clearly explain what BHH could (and could not) do, and make thoughtful suggestions based on his decades of experience in the industry. It was our first time planning a wedding, and Ted helped us understand the pros and cons of our options. His clear communication and *serious* attention to detail were a huge — planning is much less stressful when you know you have someone you can rely on.
One unexpected positive experience: BHH can also help you select vendors who have a relationship with the hotel. We didn’t think this would really matter, but several of our vendors that we met through BHH made a point that they wanted to do an especially good job because they valued their relationship with Ted.
Finally, the day-of experience was perfect. Ted worked closely with our vendors and ensured everything ran seamlessly while we enjoyed time with our friends and family. The food was absolutely delicious, the Wharf Room was stunning, and our friends and family had a great time.
TL;DR: You cannot make a better pick than working with the Boston Harbor Hotel and Ted Daniels.

he Boston Harbor Hotel, do not look elsewhere. Ted Daniels, is amazing! He is super responsive, considerate, and he executed our wedding day in the most perfect way I could have imagined! From the tasting, to the menu options, and picking out the chairs and linens – Ted will be there to guide you through the process. Ted understands every intricate detail and will make your wedding day dream come true. I had mentioned to Ted I really loved swiss dot and that was arranged for on my cake! He understands how stressful weddings can be to plan and does his best to arrange and accommodate for anything. If you choose to have your wedding day at the Boston Harbor Hotel it will be the best decision of your life and you will not regret it. I am so lucky to call the Boston Harbor Hotel my wedding venue!

Ted served as our wedding coordinator and was amazing in helping keep things on track and personally speaking to every vendor on his own time to make sure every duck was in a row. During the reception event, Jeff was present and ensured perfection throughout. He personally was always around to make sure my wife and I had everything we wanted without hesitation. I only have perfect memories of our event and this is in large part due to every wonderful thing BHH did to make it that way. Thank you so much!

e in a lifetime atmosphere. And we could not imagine a better experience than the one we had at the the presidential suite at the Boston Harbor Hotel! Every aspect of our experience, from the planning process through the entire event, was absolutely perfect. The catering manager, Ted, made booking and planning a breeze. He helped guide decisions from food to room arrangements, which took all the stress out of the wedding planning process and allowed us to just sit back and enjoy (something we very much appreciated after such a stressful un-planning process of the first, larger wedding). Once we checked in, the staff were incredibly attentive, kind, and anticipated/created details that we hadn't even imagined! They went above and beyond - even helping to decorate the space without us asking (creating an adorable bar set up with a sign that my cousin had gifted and placing additional flowers that had been leftover from the cake in display bowls around the room)! The chef and housekeeping managers regularly checked in with us throughout our stay. The food was delicious and we had multiple guests comment that it was some of the best food they have ever had (the truffle tater tots were SUCH a hit!) Between the stunning backdrop of the suite itself, the harbor views, the service that I wish I could rate more than 5 stars, and the quality of the food, we could not give a strong enough recommendation for the Boston Harbor Hotel. We only wish we could have stayed a few more nights!!
P.S. The technology set up made streaming our event so easy. We simply set up a laptop the face the aisle that was DIYed by our friends and the wifi was never an issue (and we were out on the balcony!). We also recorded the event on an ipad staged on a tripod. The bluetooth speakers throughout the suite made it easy to stream music before the ceremony and for the party after!
P.P.S. the master suite's bathroom and dressing area deserves it's own 5 star review!

rtunity to get to know – observe first hand - the wedding team at the Boston Harbor Hotel as well as the hotel’s many guest services and their facilities.
Our son’s wedding (240 in attendance) took place in the beautiful Harbor Room – what’s not to love about a room that has floor to ceiling windows on three sides with a view of the harbor. The room is beautifully appointed and is very spacious. The brunch the day after (150 in attendance) took place in the austere Atlantic Room – also a magnificent location.
Many of our relatives and friends enjoyed staying at the hotel. The rooms are spacious and again beautifully appointed and the hotel services, especially their restaurants, are first rate.
Mr. Ted Daniels, our Catering Manager was exceptional.
We owe the success of the wedding of our son and son-in-law largely to his creativity, knowledge, and ability to plan and execute a formal, complex event.
I’ve had the opportunity to work over the last 20+ years with many wonderful and experienced Catering Directors - for both personal and corporate events. Ted is by far the best and most capable that I have worked with. There was no requirement or desired outcome that could not be met.

On the day of the wedding, you would have thought we were the only people staying at the hotel. If we needed something, it was immediately delivered to our hotel rooms. Ted coordinated with all of our vendors, so they knew where to go, when to arrive, etc. We rented a trolley and the concierge staff made sure all of our snacks and beverages made it on and off the trolley.
The food was incredible. The menu was totally customizable and putting a menu together during a pandemic is not the easiest task. Ted was there to help give us ideas. We ended up with plated appetizers, a choice of soup and salad, a choice of entrees, ice cream sandwich sliders for dessert along with red velvet cake (I am a total sweets person and the cake was absolutely delicious).
The ceremony and reception were both conducted at the hotel. The view is breathtaking, no matter what room you are in at the hotel. The staff truly helped everything flow perfectly. There was no down time and our guests are still raving about how much fun they had.

Wharf Room, December 2019. From our first meeting all the way to the wedding weekend, Ted professionally guided us through every step of the process. Ted is well-trained, enjoys years of experience, understands every aspect of event planning, maintains close connections with the best local vendors, and happens to be a lovely, caring, honest human being. Somehow, Ted makes each bridal couple and their families feel as if he is only working on their behalf. He quickly accesses personalities and becomes intimately acquainted with the bride and groom’s vision for their event. At the same time, he consistently respects any financial constraints. Ted made himself available to any of us involved in the planning of the event and was able to efficiently handle all questions and issues as they surfaced. Ted made the process fun and we enjoyed many laughs.
The wedding weekend was magical. Every staff member we encountered at the hotel deserves a five star rating. We had 60 guest rooms reserved at the hotel for our event; friends and family are still raving about the venue. One cannot imagine the above and beyond service Ted provides over the the days leading up to the wedding and most importantly the wedding day. We hosted 180 guests and did not have a single issue!
The ceremony in the Wharf Room was intimate and romantic, accented by candlelight. When we first viewed the room before the reception, we were overwhelmed as during the cocktail hour, the room had been transformed into a magical winter wonderland. Ted ensured all aspects of the set up were perfect.
There are several wonderful Boston wedding venues, but the special way Ted and all staff at the Boston Harbor Hotel made us feel as though we were part of their family sets this venue apart from the rest.

Working with Ted Daniels was essentially stress free and he helped us to create an elegant, classy and fun affair. We got married in the Wharf room in January 2020. The room was stunning and it left us speechless when we initially walked in. The attention to detail was impeccable and the service was easily 5 stars! The food was amazing and many of our guests have told us that this was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. We could honestly go on and on about our wedding day and the year leading up to the big day but I don't think there is enough room! Ted was extremely helpful and really made our vision come to life. He was a pleasure to work with and delivered all of his promises plus some extra surprises! We wish we could do it all again! Thank you so much for making our wedding day the best ever!

my own -- and I am a perfectionist, especially when it came to my own wedding! He not only does a fabulous job with all details regarding the catering and reception coordination, but he is the most wonderful human being and my mother and I consider him a friend for life and an extension of our family. He goes above and beyond to make sure your wedding day is exactly what you want and so does the rest of the staff at BHH. I honestly could go on and on about everyone and every aspect of my wedding/experience here, but it would be the length of a novel. Myself, my husband, our families and guests were all treated like royalty and as everyone reported to us afterwards, they have never been to a better wedding and all felt like they were at the 'royal wedding' due to the spectacular food, drink, decorations, location and service. We have very high standards and toured many venues in Boston, and there are no other hotels that could possibly do the job (in every single way - from food to service to everything in between) like Boston Harbor Hotel (and Ted Daniels)!!!

s to have the wedding I thought I could only dream of thanks to the BHH and their great staff. As someone who was not very into planning a wedding once I visited the BHH and met Ted everything just took off from there and it became a day to look forward to and remember. Ted handled everything and I mean EVERYTHING. I had a lot on my plate and planning a wedding was not something I was looking forward to and Ted understood that. He took the time to get to know me and my husband and just took it from there, making the event and room very specific to what I had hoped for. It was very evident that the BHH has all types of brides and weddings and that Ted makes every different bride extremely happy. I had ruled out having my wedding there early on as I did not think it would be something that was affordable to me but they really offer some great packages and I am so happy that we had our wedding there.

hat the setting is beautiful, the service is top-notch, and the food is beyond compare. Upon deciding to book the BHH for our wedding, our high expectations for this venue were well surpassed!
Our experience began with Michael Boivin, our wedding coordinator. Michael was with us from our first contact with the BHH through the wedding evening, even taking care to deliver my heirloom veil safely to our room. This small detail exemplifies the service at the BHH. Michael is well known throughout the Boston wedding industry as the best in the business! On top of everything he coordinated within the BHH, he was able to put us in contact with high-quality vendors for services including flowers, lighting, etc., which was immeasurably helpful. From the second you pull up to the hotel until the moment you leave, you are greeted by the friendly faces of employees who want you to have an amazing experience. Michael Boivin, Jennifer Lammers, Laura Furfaro, and everyone we worked with consistently went above and beyond to make our dream day a reality.
The setting of the Boston Harbor Hotel is a truly unique one. The backdrop of the harbor is beautiful, and our guests enjoyed watching planes, boats, sunrises and passers-by throughout their stay at the hotel. The central location makes it easy to visit other Boston attractions, catch a game at the Garden, or eat at one of Boston’s famed restaurants.
For a fantastic meal, however, you need go no further than the BHH itself. We wanted our wedding guests to have a delicious meal at our wedding. Months later, we are still hearing from friends and family that this was not only the best wedding meal they have eaten, but one of the best meals they've ever had in general! The wedding menus are filled with so many mouth-watering options that it was difficult to choose just a few for our menu! We were pleased to find flexibility in the menu options as well – unlike other venues we had toured.
From the service to the ambiance to the food, we could not be happier with our choice to host our wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel. The motto of the BHH is “Beyond Compare,” and throughout our wedding process – from initially reaching out to Michael, until we checked out as newlyweds – our dreams for a perfect experience were exceeded. We are so grateful to everyone who helped us throughout the process, and are looking forward to visiting again soon!

& reception and brunch at the hotel. All of our guests were from out of town and we wanted to ensure that everything was taken care of for the entire weekend. The Boston Harbor Hotel was the most perfect venue for our wedding, from the guest accommodations and event venues to the staff and food (oh yeah and THE VIEW!!! ☺ ) To say I was a nervous bride is an understatement but Michael and his team was so easy to work with, they could not have put me more at ease.
The different event venues offered at BHH are unparalleled, each with their own unique style and view of the Boston Harbor. We hosted our ceremony and reception in the Wharf room, which meant that the staff had to flip the entire room during our one-hour cocktail party. I continue to hear from guests about how impressed they were with the absolutely FLAWLESS transitions from one location to the other.
The food at BHH was also top notch. Since we had so many events at the hotel, we literally went though every item on the menu. Michael and his team set up a private area for my husband and I to take a break after the ceremony and try all of appetizers our guests were having at the cocktail party. I was always told that on your wedding day you won’t be able to eat any of the food, this was not true at all! The food was so good that I ended up trying a little bit of everything. We had steak and lobster for our wedding dinner, which was perfectly cooked for all of our 180 + guests and I continue to receive praises from guests about the Peking duck carving station at our rehearsal dinner.

The Wharf Room itself is stunning, plus the location is the perfect balance between a convenient city wedding with unbeatable water views. The food was the best we’ve ever had - we couldn’t believe how delicious everything was at the tasting and our guests still can’t stop raving about the food. The pastry team created the most stunning and delicious cake for us! Most importantly, the service was top notch. Ted Daniels was hands down the most valuable resource we had wedding planning and we can’t thank him enough for all of his valuable insights. He recommended great vendors, made an incredible day of schedule (which many of our engaged friends have since asked if they could copy), answered every question we had, and made sure everything ran perfectly. Ted took care of every detail so we didn’t have to worry about anything in the months leading up to the wedding. Outside of Ted’s planning expertise, the rest of the team from the doormen to the management team to the waitstaff, all went above and beyond. The Boston Harbor Hotel is a five star hotel and the service you receive for your wedding is five stars all the way.

We chose to have our reception in the Wharf Room with cocktail hour along the harbor walk and everything exceeded our (and our guests) expectations. Our wedding was such a success due to Ted’s expertise in the wedding planning industry. Not only was Ted able to guide us through every decision, ensuring we didn’t miss any details, but he also provided valuable opinions and helped make our wedding day uniquely our own. He became an extended part of the family during the wedding planning process – from helping us pick first-class vendors to coordinating the color scheme and flower arrangements; Ted never missed a beat along the way. dding coordination business for years at various venues, and offered his wisdom and advice without being pushy, was thorough and responsive to all of our questions, and worked hard to ensure our vision came to life on the big day. The entire staff from the bellmen to the concierge at the Boston Harbor Hotel were incredibly professional and accommodating and made us feel like VIP our entire wedding weekend. The rooms were immaculate, the views from the cocktail hour in the Rotunda were spectacular, and the Wharf room made a stunning setting for our reception. Ted and the banquet manager ensured everything ran smoothly at the reception, and our guests cannot stop raving about every element of the evening--from the delicious food to the helpful staff and outstanding service to the beautiful harbor-front venue in general. If given the chance to do it all over, we would choose the Boston Harbor Hotel a thousand times again and again. They won't disappoint!

room was "flipped."It was such an easy venue to use - everything was included in our wedding package except 5 things: flowers, music, lighting, photography, and videography. BHH offered suggestions for these 5 other vendors but worked wonderfully with those we found on our own. Our wedding planner, Ted, was amazing - when my bustle wasn't perfect and a piece was hanging off sideways, he pulled out a safety pin from his tuxedo to fix it! We were made to feel like royalty the entire weekend. Overall our wedding was absolutely perfect and we couldn't have asked for more.

The food was out of this world for a wedding and it was honestly the best fish (sea bass) I have ever eaten. The hotel and water front location is of course incredible but the best part about booking your wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel is that you may have the opportunity to work with Michael Boivin. From the minute we met Michael we knew we made the right decision to book at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Michael put us at ease right away and professionally guided us through the planning of our wedding every step of the way. Michael was easy to work with, he always called you back the same day and he was very detailed oriented. Michael has done so many weddings, that it seems like there was nothing he has not seen or been a part of. He steered us into many great decisions and gently steered us away from making bad ones. He was at our wedding for most of the evening and he made sure everything was perfect. It was so nice to have Michael on our team. He is the best in the industry and we highly recommend him and the Boston Harbor Hotel.

Every single person we worked with did their utmost to make us feel incredibly special and like we were the only wedding they had ever done. Once we were there for the weekend - we did not have to ask for a single thing! They pretty much anticipated every need or want we had! Our guests are still talking about what an amazing wedding we had! The venue itself is fabulous - what's not to love about a beautiful hotel on the waterfront?!?!!? Where some venues take that for granted - the BHH truly goes above and beyond in making the day extra special for you and your guests. My husband and I keep talking about wanting to come up with an excuse to throw another event at the BHH because it was that much fun! We already told them to hold our room for our anniversary every year because we want to remember this day for the rest of our lives. Our guests all told us that it was pretty much the best hotel they've ever stayed at and for the guests with children, they were incredibly sweet - sending cookies and helping the out of town guests find baby sitters. I could go on and on about how special the BHH us but if you are looking for a venue that will take the stress off of you - look no further. They are pros and even for the most stressed out bride - you can be assured they will make your wedding a night to remember!

It was raining on my wedding day and the doormen outside were terrific, when I got to the door to get into the limo I was so worried about getting wet and ALL the doormen formed two lines (without me asking, they did it on their own) with giant umbrellas and moved with me to keep me 100% completely dry. They then went back and brought each bridesmaid and my mom to their limos. It literally brought tears to my eyes how much they cared.
Our wedding coordinator Cortney was also terrific and helped guide us through every single process.
I would get married there again in a heartbeat.

The attention to detail, execution and service from Michael and the entire BHH staff was impeccable and beyond compare. They anticipated needs we did not even know we had, and did it all with a smile! Furthermore, the food was amazing. We are self proclaimed "foodies" and were definitely not disappointed....nor were our guests who commented on how delicious everything was! Boivin, the on-site coordinator is every bride's dream, and truly made our day absolutely perfect.
I was blown away with how amazing the food was, and how different it was from typical catered "wedding food". We got so many compliments on the venue and food after our wedding.
Each and every staff member we met was polite, helpful, and so excited for our wedding. By the end of the planning process the BHH felt like home to us.

We planned our wedding from across the country and never once had any doubts about how well it would turn out thanks to Michael. The wedding team coordinates so many aspects of the wedding and delivers with a smile. It is pricy but you can find some stellar deals with different packages and times of the year. It is all worth it!

cocktail reception was held in the Rotunda). The beautiful view and exceptional food and service made it a “wedding to remember” for all of us. We have received countless compliments from guests (many have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to!).
In terms of planning the wedding, Cortney Gould, Catering Sales Manager at the BHH, was outstanding. She is extremely professional and very warm-hearted. Her attention to detail, flexibility and excellent communication skills made the whole process run very smoothly. She returned emails promptly and met with us in person on a number of occasions. We feel very strongly that Cortney’s remarkable service was one of the main reasons that the wedding was such a huge success.
Marianne McKenna was another staff member who helped to make our experience such a positive one. She arranged the room block for our guests, and was very attentive whenever we had questions or concerns. The guest rooms were very clean and comfortable. Many guests commented on the superior beds.
We also want to mention the professionalism and friendliness of other staff members including the doormen (William is fantastic!), wait staff, front desk clerks and concierge. The hospitality we experienced was outstanding!

bout not only how smoothly everything ran but also how delicious the food was. I've been to many beautiful weddings, but I've never heard anyone say "that might have been the best steak I've ever had". Everyone knows that wedding food is generally moderately good at best. Not at BHH.
I worked with Nicole Simeral, and I was in great hands. The day of the wedding she had taken all my notes and ran the perfect ship. She verified all last minute changes with me, and made sure I was comfortable with all requests no matter who they came from. My mother had some ideas, but Nicole really knew who was in charge-me!
Gary ran the catering and besides being just a sweetheart, the service was impeccable. All happened according to plan, everything was where we needed it to be. One of the funniest moments I remember is when the best man finished his speech, and went to make a toast, but had forgotten his glass of champagne. Gary clearly caught this, as he had a waiter with champagne waiting right behind him so that the best man wouldn't miss a beat.
Venue, Food, Service...really can't be beat.
