Boston Marriott Newton

Overall we had a great time at the Marriott Newton. The hotel has been renovated recently and the pavilion tent (where we had our ceremony) is so beautiful! Our photos out by the gazebo and the Charles River are gorgeous. We held a welcome reception at the bar on Friday night, and a brunch on Sunday morning, and all of our needs were accommodated. We got a bunch of compliments on the food, which was delicious (groom and I made sure to sit down for 5 minutes and eat!). I would love to give a special shout out to Julie, who helped make sure all of our needs were met during the ceremony and reception - she was so attentive and helped with any and everything we needed. And also a shout out to Madeline at the front desk, who really worked hard to fix some room booking issues for my father, and was always so polite and professional. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 are that the groom's family had made some specific room requests that got missed, and also that a box of our decoration accessories for the reception was misplaced (but subsequently found so we at least could bring home a photo book that was special to us). But again - overall we had a fantastic time and are very happy we chose the Marriott Newton!

When we booked the Marriott for our venue we were happy just for the location and to support the brand. We knew from our many hotel stays that they would give us a good experience. We did not know that we would be paired with such a fantastic coordinator! Nicole was in touch with me early on and answered all of my questions, even the ones that didn’t apply to the venue specifically! She is a true professional and knew exactly how to make our day perfect. The day of, she was on hand for every single thing from coordinating the many vendors to making sure all the food was perfect – even to helping bustle my dress and getting my second pair of shoes from my room! At the end of the night, we were surprised in our suite with a bottle of sparkling brut and a wonderful congratulations note :) We are so happy with our experience and highly recommend the Marriott and Nicole!

You go somewhere that can hold them all... The room was very pretty and the food out of this world... Everyone loved and talked about what a great place it was... it was the place of my husband's dreams... but not so much for me... the room did not have windows to display the beautiful day we were lucky to have and the wedding planner was at times not very friendly to me but was wonderful to my parents to payed for the hall... we did get a free room the day off and after our wedding... the presidents sweet... very nice touch... my parents and my husbands parents also got a free room because our wedding was so big... aka they are willing to work with you on the extras... overall very nice...
