t. When we found out about the refundable damages deposit- Chris assured us very few people lose it, if any. Fast forward- everything was going great. We were picked up in time and out of the hall Like we were supposed to be. Doubled checked everything with my family the morning after. Nothing looked damaged or was it trashed. Sure- it was dirty— like it would be after any event. Three days later I noticed they cashed the damage deposit. And on the following sunday (8 days after the event.) I had to reach out them on why they cashed it. They were not going to say anything to me. If there was something truly damaged I would’ve totally understood— but all Carrie said was “excessive food in the carpet” and told me they had to hire a company to come clean. I asked Carrie for the company name and she since then has ghosted me. I truly feel it was never their intention to refund my deposit and truly believe the excessive food was an excuse on their part to take my money. I am not scared to take ownership if something had been damaged. The fact that Carrie has ghosted me about it validates her intentions. I feel like if the damage deposit wasn’t refundable- they should’ve just put that in their contract.
