around our schedules, holding regular meetings and keeping communication lines open at all times. She was so communicative and an absolute joy to work with. We always looked forward to our wedding planning calls together!! We had a long engagement and worked with Lauren for over a year and a half, and I would really describe her as a dear friend at this point. We wouldn’t have known where to begin with vendors, design, and everything else, and Lauren was there every step of the way to get us on track and point us in the right direction. She made wedding planning the least stressful thing ever, and we had so much fun working with her. Because we were coming to KY for a week around the holidays, she even made herself available during the holiday season to tour venues with us. On the day of, everything ran so smoothly, and Lauren made sure we had everything we needed. She went above and beyond to make our day beautiful and so fun, and she even hand-stamped around 100 wax seals for our name cards. She was so attentive to detail and sourced/assembled everything from our signage to our place settings and decorations. She recommended wonderful vendors, and communicated with them frequently throughout the process and on the big day to ensure everything ran seamlessly! We didn't have to travel to KY with much at all for the big day, because Lauren already had it all taken care of! Our wedding day was so wonderful, joyful, and completely stress-free. It was truly the best day ever! We could not have felt more comfortable or more thankful to work with anyone else. Your wedding will be in the most wonderful hands, and the planning process will be a blast from start to finish with Lauren and BCE!

we had a personal connection—she was in the same sorority and the same pledge class as my Matron of Honor at the University of Kentucky! What are the odds? We spent so many planning calls laughing, reminiscing, and bonding over our shared college roots, which made the entire experience feel personal and full of heart. Lauren seamlessly stepped in to take over after our original planner had to step away—and I truly mean seamlessly. At 10 months out, she filled in every vendor gap, ensured nothing slipped through the cracks, and elevated every detail with her next-level organizational skills. She’s as Type A as they come in the best way possible—her timelines were air-tight, her follow-through was impeccable, and her attention to detail was unparalleled. On the day of the wedding, Lauren was truly my guardian angel. She made sure I was calm, happy, stress-free, and always had a drink in my hand and food in my belly. She wrangled groomsmen with grace (even if they grumbled a little) and ensured every single one of my last-minute wishes was executed without me lifting a finger. I didn’t want to be overly involved in the small design choices, so I left a lot up to her discretion—I didn’t even know what my cake would look like, or what flavor it was, or what my signage or flowers would be! I just showed up… and it was like walking into the most magical, personalized surprise party. The end result? A wedding that exceeded every expectation. Our venue—which has hosted over 30 weddings a year for the past decade—said it was one of their Top 10 weddings of all time. Our photographer called it one of his Top 3, and our videographer said it was the best wedding he’s ever shot. And we truly believe that’s thanks to Lauren and Bourbon City Events. They took our vision—classic, timeless, "champagne wedding on a somewhat beer budget"—and made it feel effortless and completely us. Months later, our friends and family still talk about how amazing it was, and my husband and I keep saying, “That really was the best day ever.” If you’re even considering working with Bourbon City Events—do it. They will make your life easier, your wedding better, and your memories unforgettable.

f the best decisions I made during the entire process. From start to finish, they were incredibly responsive, organized, personable, and genuinely fun to work with. More than that, they truly cared about making both the planning experience and my wedding day as smooth and stress-free as possible. Their expert guidance on budgeting and vendor selection was absolutely priceless. Having them review and negotiate contracts, manage vendor communication, and keep everything on schedule lifted an enormous weight off my shoulders. There were countless small details I would have never thought of; BCE not only caught them all, but addressed each one with care and precision. Their attention to detail, creative eye, and knowledge of wedding trends made a huge impact on how beautiful and seamless everything turned out. On the big day, they were an incredible source of support. Everything ran perfectly, and I was able to truly enjoy the moment knowing they had everything under control. I received so many compliments from guests about how professional, knowledgeable, and helpful BCE was. Lauren and Lydia are true pros with strong vendor relationships across the state, a fantastic sense of style, and a sincere passion for what they do. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or special event. They are simply the best!
