Bow Tie Photo & Video

From the start of our wedding day, I felt rushed. The photographer did not stick to the timeline from the very start. They showed up 20 mins early to "get ahead", but still managed to not capture many of the images I had hoped. They shot maybe 3 pictures of hair and makeup and my bridesmaids had to run after them to get a few more. There were 2 taken with each bridesmaid, some being haphazard. Everything was made to feel very rushed from the start, but at one point we were told we were 30 mins ahead of schedule. With the fake rush, I did not get a chance for many bridal portraits, only a few at a very unflattering angle. I was told we would take more later in the day, but that never happened. There were supposed to be pictures of the groomsmen getting ready, but those never happened either. The bridal party pictures were rushed and there were not many photo options again. I emphasized I wanted candid and fun group pictures and that did not materialize. In the few group candid pictures, half of the bridal party is cut out. Prior to the wedding we had discussed where we wanted the first look to be, but come the day they did not listen and set up in the wrong location, I had to ask for the original location adding more time on. The location we were taking pictures was very overexposed and windy, not the photographers fault, but I wished he could have told us that so we could have moved locations or fixed our hair or something. More expected shots were missed in the ceremony - we had no pictures of the bridal party standing at the front with us, not pictures of my maid of honor fluffing my dress, and no shots of the full ceremony from above. I had sent the photographer a full list of my inspo and photo ideas, but it seems those were never looked at. Back to the lack of timeline, we missed cocktail hour because they wanted to knock out some of the pictures ahead of time, even though that was not on the timeline. I had to reiterate multiple times where I wanted pictures even though we discussed it prior and it was on the timeline shared with them. I had to go back to the office assistant the beg for more options and ended up buying the RAW images for $200 just at the hope there are more on there that I might like. I am just overall disappointed with the final gallery and wish I could go back and retake so many of the pictures, but I can't. It did not seem like Bow Tie Photo really listened to me or cared about my vision and our wedding was just another of their numerous weddings they had to get through.

Zack showed up on time, captured all of our best shots, was so easy to work with. Had a knee injury for my wedding, but Zack was very understanding and accommodating. Got the sneak pics and highlight video not long after the wedding and everyone absolutely loved them. So many great shots. We highly recommend Zack and his team for all your special occasion photography and video.

Zack and his team were amazing! They put so much thought and effort into making our day perfect. Their video creation was absolutely stunning and brought us to tears.

Where should I start?! From our first conversation I knew Zack was our guy! I knew I wanted to talk to Zack just from looking through his work on his website. Everything was stunning! I thought for sure he would be booked for our date but as luck would have it Zack was available for our October 2021 wedding! From our engagement shoot to our wedding day Zack was responsive and professional! Not to mention so reasonable pricing wise for his quality work! I’d recommend Zack and his team 1000 times over!
