Boydville was amazing, and was the absolute perfect spot for our wedding. Meagan and her staff were so accommodating and flexible regarding our covid-postponed wedding, and the end result was just perfect. I can't recommend Boydville and staff enough. Thank you so much!
Having my wedding at the Boydville Manor was the best decision I could have made. Since I was a little girl, I knew I always wanted a southern-like & fairytale wedding. Using Boydville made dream vision come true. The house is so charming & the long drive way is to die for. The bridal suit is beautiful, and there is so much space for your bridal party to get ready. My now husband loved the gentleman’s quarters - as it was a space next to the mansion for him and his groomsmen to just get ready and hangout at before the wedding. Not only is the inside & outside of the house GORGEOUS, but the staff is even better. Meagan and her family are truly the best. Meagan truly wants your special day to be how YOU want it, & will do anything to make your vision happen. She is always just one text away, and was always able to meet if I had any questions. The Mann family treats you like your own, and will go out of their way to make your wedding day extra special. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced, gorgeous, friendly, large, and unique venue - choose Boydville for your wedding! ❤️
I don’t have enough good things to say about Meagan and Boydville. The venue is breathtaking and charming. It’s perfect for a medium sized wedding. We had about 100 guests and we never felt cramped. There are beautiful rooms to get ready and the property is just gorgeous. There are several places to have your ceremony.
Meagan is so helpful and responsive. On a few occasions in the year leading up to my wedding I emailed her questions and never had to wait more than a day for response.
This venue already had chairs and tables, and if you need tablecloths. It was one less thing to worry about. If I could do it all over again, I would still pick Boydville.
Boydville doesn’t look like it should be in Martinsburg, it’s beautiful and large. Megan and team are wonderful host and we’re very accommodating to all the madness that comes with wedding planning. For instance we originally wanted to get married by one of the large trees, but everyone insisted we had a back plan or two in case it rained, and girl it rained my whole wedding day, we ended up getting married on the porch and it was beautiful with the rain letting up a little and having it as a backdrop.
With the rental of the venue we got the venue from 9AM to 10PM, we’re allowed to bring our own food, hire our own bartender, truly the best bang for your buck.
There is also a gentleman’s getting ready area that looks like a mini version of the big house off to the side, my husband didn’t end up using it because he was helping set up the whole thing while I was exiled upstairs to get ready ha but I have been in there and it looks like so much fun!
I can truly not recommend the place enough !
I would like to thank Megan, John and staff of the Boydville Manor for providing exceptional service for our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding (October 5, 2019). The facility was just perfect , the grounds are beautiful, and the support was amazing throughout the planning from day 1 to after wedding !!! Thank you for making dreams come true.
Boydville is an absolutely beautiful venue and grounds, nestled right in the middle of historic downtown Martinsburg. There are multiple places for outdoor ceremony sights and all of them are gorgeous! The house and grounds are rich in history and places for your family and wedding party to relax, and enjoy the wedding day. What makes Boydville really stand out are the owners, Jonathan and Meagan Mann, and their incredible team! We work with many venues, but never have I met and worked with such a lovely group of professionals, who went out of their way to accommodate and help in any way they could to create the wedding our mutual client had envisioned. As a planner, it's always our goal to work with everyone to create a "Dream Team" for every event and Boydville was a superstar!
Absolutely loved the Boydville! Meagan, the co-owner was so great to work with and very helpful. The venue was gorgeous, I got so many compliments from my guests. Beautiful historic mansion with lots of rooms to get ready in and a gorgeous back patio with plenty of dance space! would definitely recommend for any looking for a venue!!
There are times in life when you really hit the jackpot and having our daughter's wedding reception at Boydville was just that! From the very beginning of the tour in November, Meagan was very upbeat, personable, honest and had the ability to help us visualize how this venue could provide the backdrop for the type of reception the bride and groom had in mind. With lovely grounds and so many rooms available, including spaces for the bride and bridesmaid and a separate building for the groom and groomsmen, we knew that unexpected inclement weather would not be a major concern.
The Inn has such a grand, romantic feel with authentic historic relevance. This family owned and managed venue continues to blossom as the Mann's continually upgrade within the parameters of the property's historic designation. This is no "cookie cutter" venue, if you are seeking a truly unique site. And as wonderful as this all may sound, the owners will work diligently to accommodate, within their safety requirements, the special attributes you want to achieve. Meagan is SUCH a pleasure to work with and has a calming, encouraging way about her. She never got tired of my many questions, and she was always very responsive to emails. Her suggestions for vendors were sooo helpful because we were planning this wedding from another state, over an hour's drive away. I read some of the previous comments made and could only nod my head in total agreement with the comments about her, Jon, and other adult family members that help with your event. They worked right beside us with set up and clean up. Family members we had recruited to help with the set up were amazed that they were helping! The Mann's also are very involved with the Martinsburg community in general and are clearly beloved. The local florist whose services we engaged had great things to say about them. Boydville was the total package for us and we have no regrets selecting them as the place and the people to work with for our only daughter's wedding reception. We wish them many years of continued success at Boydville!
I cannot say enough great things about this venue explanation point Megan was such a huge help in making sure that might say went perfectly, that everything was perfect. the historic building, the grounds, the backyard the courtyard (where my ceremony itself took place); it was all the perfect package for my perfect wedding. ❤️
Having our wedding and reception at Boydville Manor was the very best decision we made! This was the first and only venue we toured and my now husband and I fell in love with it at first sight! The mansion is gorgeous, the grounds are breathtaking, the garden patio with Edison lighting is what dream are made of, but truly the determining factor was the warmth and kindness that the owners, Jon and Meagan exuded. From the moment I messaged them and through the entire process they were nothing short of professional, down to earth, extremely helpful and flexible... SO easy to work with. They recommended our caterer to us and we just couldn't have been happier... we are still getting compliments on the food! Meagan, her mother and mother-in-law worked tirelessly behind the scenes all day to make sure everything ran smoothly... and always with a smile. Another unexpected bonus is that they are constantly improving and upgrading their venue. For example, we were planning on using the regular white folding chairs for our ceremony when we booked with them, but by the time our wedding came around they had added beautiful rustic benches as an included option! Over all, Jon and Meagan gave us a flawless experience and truly added to the special memories we made at Boydville that day. Thank you!
We would like to thank Boydville for making Logan and I’s wedding day so special! Meagan and Bunny helped us organize and carry out each part of the ceremony. Our ceremony and reception were outside, and despite the rain everyone had a great time! Plus they are so accommodating! Every request I had (which were a lot) they worked with us. We would definitely recommend having your wedding or any other event with Boydville!
Beautiful venue! The owners really helped make our day special. Our guests loved the historic house and gorgeous trees.
We had an absolutely incredible experience hosting our wedding and reception at Boydville! As soon as we toured the venue, we fell in love. There is so much charm and character at Boydville. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the owners have truly thought of everything to make wedding days special and memorable. From a beautifully appointed bridal suite, to a comfortable gentleman’s quarters, to the grand front porch, and the brick courtyard the WHOLE property is absolutely perfect for weddings.
Meagan (the owner) and her family were nothing but warm, welcoming, accommodating, and incredibly professional. Through every step of the planning process, Meagan was uber-responsive, never hesitating to thoroughly answer my questions. On the day of the wedding, she and her team were with us every step of the way, working right beside us to ensure everything was perfect. I have never seen such a level of commitment from other venue owners. Truly, Boydville is remarkable.
My husband and I spent the day of our wedding surrounded by family and friends who love us and wanted nothing more for us than to share in a day of love and happiness. Meagan and her family fit in seamlessly with this scheme.
What a blessing it was to us to spend our wedding day with such lovely people! We can’t say enough good things about Boydville and it’s owners. It’s defintely a must see!
With love,
The Dayhoffs
This family that owns the Inn are the best people that walk the planet. They will do everything they can to make your day the best it can be! With 7 days to go before our wedding we were told there was going to be 3-6 inches of snow. Our wedding was planned to be all outside and it was my dream to get married in front of a tree on the property. She made sure I felt positive and when things started looking up, she make making plans with me to change anything I can but still get my dream. When it came to the day of, I still had my dream wedding and she made the reception the best it could be with the weather we were given. This is the best place to get married, both because it’s beautiful and because the owners will do everything in their power to make the bride and groom happy! Thanks, Mann family!!
We had our ceremony in June of 2017, and our vintage/rustic theme made Boydville the perfect venue to meet our style. We soon found out that it not only met our visual wants for the setting and pictures but it also met everything else we could want from a local venue: space, flexibility, cost, and wonderful owners/staff to work with for planning.
One of my favorite things about this venue is that you pay for the place - not the food, alcohol or staff that comes with it. That freedom allowed me to better control my budget and bring in caterers and bartenders that fit my finances which made my decision even easier.
Highly recommended!
Boydville is incredible! Every single aspect of this venue is absolutely amazing. Not only does the property give you an awesome romantic setting, but it also allows you to have your wedding and reception all in one allowing more time to take your day in. You have several options of how to set up your ceremony/ reception allowing each couple to have their own flare on their special day! Also, the staff allows you to use the property the whole weekend if you choose to have a traditional Saturday weekend like we did. We were able to set up the decorations on Friday, had our Wedding on Saturday, and cleaned up the following day on Sunday. The staff is so helpful and even helped us set up even though it was not expected. The staff was willing to let us to visit the property several times throughout my year of planning and offered many suggestions to help us out along the way! I am so thankful that I found such an affordable and beautiful venue! Choosing Boydville is one of the best decisions we made! I hope to be able to have another event here in the future!
Our wedding was October 3, 2015. I was an older bride with mobility challenges so I had to be very careful of the venue I booked as I couldn't climb stairs and needed dressing rooms on a ground level, etc. It was such a blessing to find Jonathon and Meagan Mann and The Inn at Boydville. To say Jonathon was accommodating is an understatement. He had a beautiful ground floor bedroom suite perfect for my bridal party dressing room and he worked with me down to the last detail as I planned our outdoor wedding. The grounds are meticulously cared for and an outdoor fall wedding is gorgeous there! There are a gazebo and courtyard behind the mansion that is perfect for outdoor receptions. Alas, as fate would have it a day before our wedding a heavy rain front moved in. I had been watching the weather and praying it stayed to the south, but it wasn't meant to be. No worries! Jonathon and Meagan to the rescue!! Everything was reworked so that the ceremony would take place in the south parlor at the front of the house and the reception tables were set up indoor in the sunroom. Meagan had all of the linens ironed and ready for use. It was a virtual monsoon on our wedding day, but The Inn at Boydville couldn't have been more stunning and my husband and I owe it all to Jonathon and Meagan Mann. We highly recommend them!!
Boydville, The Inn at Martinsburg, was the perfect venue for our wedding. With such amazing history and beautiful property grounds, this is the best place my wife and I found to tie the knot. The owners are very professional, and went out of their way to make our special day perfect. With exceptional value and gorgeous scenery, this is the perfect place for all your special events and occasions. We were extremely pleased with everything Boydville, The Inn at Martinsburg, provided for us that day.
We had our wedding here in May of 2016. I was so relieved to find a beautiful venue within our price range. The price is unbeattable. We got married under the tree in the front yard & it was magically. It honestly looked like a $20,000.00 wedding. The driveway is what stole my heart, it it very long and the trees were beautiful. I arrived on a horse & cinderalla carriage, absolutely stunning. There is a lot of space for your guests, I would def reccommend this place to any brides looking for their venue. Jon was very helpful throughout the process! Check this venue out!
The staff at Boydville was amazing, from our first visit to the day of our wedding. Along the way all of my questions were answered promptly. The day before and day of, the weather was less than ideal for an outdoor event, that didn't stop the staff from coming up with solutions and making it so that I could have my outdoor wedding. I would recommend this venue to anyone! Not only is the property stunning, it's also affordable and everyone is amazing!
My husband and I had our wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful! The venue made for amazing photos and such a great place to have a wedding. Jon was wonderful at accommodating with us for everything we needed.
Our wedding 4/16/16 could not have been better! Boydville is beautiful inside and out and the owners Jonathon and Meagan are gracious and wonderful people. Our ceremony was in front and the reception was out back, everything about the weekend was perfect!
Great place! The owners are so generous, genuine, and fun to work with! They truly care about the Inn and the experience for each guest!
We had our wedding reception here in June 2015. We could not have picked a better place! I could not believe how much of a bargain we got! Jonathon and Meagan were always available to meet us, talk to us, or email us to answer any questions we had. They went above and beyond in helping us out. The house and the grounds are so beautiful. There is even a gazebo in the back (complete with decorative lights) that we used as a dance floor. Thanks to Boydville we were able to have the wedding of our dreams!
We couldn't have picked a better location for our wedding than Boydville. Nestled in downtown Martinsburg, the 13 acre property is easily accessible from Apple Harvest Drive and S. Queen St. The grounds are well manicured / maintained offering a beautiful setting for an outdoor venue or backdrop for your pictures. Clients will find that Boydville offers intimate settings for groups of all sizes inside the home, in the rear courtyard, or the larger front yard... The large front porch would be a great alter-like area for your ceremony. This historic home adds a bit of character to your wedding through its history and rustic feel which creates a conversation starter for your friends and family before your festivities. The owners worked very closely with us ensuring we had everything we need to make our day a success and provided recommendations tailored to our event. Rental fee included usage of the grounds, usage of the lower level of the house (including indoor restroom), and plenty of parking near the home. My wife and I couldn't have asked for more and are confident that this will become one of the best venues to host weddings and other events in Martinsburg!
The Pros: Low costBeautiful backdrops for photos
The owners are pretty flexible and willing to work with you.
Lots of space to work with both indoors and outdoors.
The caretaker lives behind the structure so if there were any problems, then he would be there to help.
The Cons: Some rentals may be needed--Tables, chairs, place settings
Space was a little tight for us; however, we could have made changes to accomodate the space a little better.
We had some delays in contracting the venue; however, this was due to policy changes. Overall, it was a smooth process given the amount of change that was occuring.
This is a beautiful venue to atleast consider!
